Any WoW Artists Interested?
Posted 15 years agoI'm looking to get a piece of artwork drawn -- paid commission if necessary -- for Children's Week in World of Warcraft.
Anyone interested? the base idea involves three of my in-game characters with two of the "orphans" that are part of the game's world event.
Drop me a note or a comment if interested, or if you know of an artist who might be?

For Once, A Birthday that Did NOT Suck!
Posted 16 years agoWell... tomorrow we do a few last hours of scooting around the parks, and then... home to Tampa.
Last few years, my birthday hasn’t been much to talk about. But this year’s turn of the wheel... so much better. Heck, over one-hundred times better than any other!
For starters, Sis got us booked into a cabin at Disney’s Fort Wilderness. Pretty snazzy set up... won’t bore the details, but let’s say, if you’ve got to come to Disney in the near future, getting a cabin at Ft. Wilderness is a sweet way to spend your days here.
We spent most of the Thursday just having a relaxing time after the road trip over, scooping out what was available to do here in the campground complex. Then, that night, we went to a Campfire sing-a-long and marshmallow roast with Chip and Dale. My nieces, Amanda and Susan loved it!
Then, come Friday -- the 10th -- we got up early and made our way across Lake Buena Vista to the Magic Kingdom. Thanks to some special pre-registrations and some judicious purchases by both my sister and mother, we not only got some park passes, but we got two special gifts; a birthday Fastpass card for all of us, so that we could get to the head of the ride lines without waiting. The second gift was a 75 dollar gift card, to make some purchases within the park itself. The day was spent riding rides, seeing the shows -- The Philharmagic Show I highly recommend! -- and seeing some of the old traditional attractions, like the Haunted Mansion and Space Mountain. After the day was nearly over, we all then went to a special dinner at Mickey’s Backyard Barbecue. This was a big shindig; a buffet dinner with ribs, chicken and all the fixings, along with a country entertainment show that lasted well into the night.
Come today, Saturday, we got up extra early to go to Disney’s Hollywood Studios. There, we had a special breakfast with the characters from Disney’s Playhouse (a treat for my nieces, assuredly!), before heading out into the park to do more rides and attractions. I did try out for the American Idol Experience (didn’t make it, even though the director who auditioned me said I had a very good baritone), and also did the Disney Animation pavilion, where I saw posters and pre-production work for some new films -- among their number being “Toy Story 3”, “The Princess and The Frog” and a surprise “Rapunzel” and of course the new PIXAR film, “Up”. I also attended the animation drawing class, where I got to draw a Disney character.
One of the newest rides I recommend to anyone going there is the Toy Story Midway Mania ride. It’s like a shoot-em up ride, but it’s in 3-D and it’s fun for the entire family as you play target and shooting games with your spring-action “cannon” to make enough points to earn the high score (which I did out of all my family! Go ME!). I also recommend the night time show “Fantasmic!”. It’s got it all; fireworks, water displays, laser shows and a plethora of all the Disney characters and villains.
Of course, the capper to today was the fact I got to meet a fellow Deviant at the park. D.C. Matthews works there as a characture artist, and I got to meet him briefly before we got too busy with all the sights. I promised him I’d be back after the running around was done, to purchase a special drawing for my birthday. It was late -- right after the “Fantasmic!” show -- but I got back to Dave before he had to close shop for the night. Though I was ready to pay, Dave surprised me by offering to do a characture of me for no cost; a gift from him, on the house. He drew it very quickly, and when done, he then surprised me a second time while saying, “Business was kind of slow... so slow, I was able to do this for you too!”
What was it, you ask? It was a sketch drawing of his two gals: Tetsuko-chan and Dr. Sonya Gannon, both wishing me a happy birthday, and that it was great meeting me at Disney!
Let me tell you all this, if you ever go to Hollywood Studios in Orlando, FL, give Dave some well-deserved love and stop by his stand -- it’s on the sidewalk, right in front of the Brown Derby restaurant in the center of the park. The man works hard for his pay, and he deserves to get some great business sent his way.
Thanks for putting the capper on a wonderful Birthday Week, Dave! You’re just R.S.A.; Rock Solid Awesome!
Well, off to be with me... got one more morning before I return to the regularity of a work week and daily grind.
Stay Crispy, kids!

The Wheel turns again...
Posted 16 years agoComing up on April 10th again... yep, only this time, the birthday hits a rather momentus mark: the Big Four-Oh.
Yes, I'm now on the cusp of Middle Age.
Well, at least this year, the birthday won't suck totally. My sister has said we're going to celebrate our birthday in style, by spending a 4-day stay at Disney in Orlando. Me, her and her family and our mother... should be interesting to say the least.
If I don't post again before the weekend, Everyone keep up the great work!
Stay Crispy.

Sex Meme
Posted 16 years agoTaken from Fluffball:
1. Is there anyone on your friends list you would ever consider having sex with?
Oh, certainly! A number of special women that I personally adore... just my dumb luck most live too far away.
2. Sex in the morning, afternoon or night?
If there’s time, and the right person, the period of day doesn’t really matter.
3. What side of the bed do you sleep on?
Mostly on the left-side (because it’s closest to the door).
4. Pork, beef, or chicken?
I like them all, but I prefer beef (always well-done, thank you).
5. Have you ever had to pull over on the side of the road to puke?
Not yet (though I wonder what this has to do with a sex meme?).
6. Have you ever taken your clothes off for money?
Nope.
7. Shower or bath?
Showers are practical, but I miss a good soak... most modern tubs are too small for me.
8. Do you pee in the shower?
9. Mexican or Chinese?
Either/or will do nicely.
10. Do you want someone aggressive or passive in bed?
Never had the experience, but I’d say a balance of the two would be nice.
11. Do you love someone on your friend list?
In the agape or filial sense, yes.
12. Do you know all the people on your friends list?
A couple as good friends, and have met in real life.
13. Love or money?
A mix of the two, please? Though I could stand to use more of the former.
14. Credit cards or cash?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yM9N30V4wnQ
15. Has there ever been anyone in your family you wish wasn't?
Only one or two.
16. Would you rather go camping or to a 5 star hotel?
Got to have my comfort, hotel please.
17. What is the weirdest place you have had sex.
Hasn’t happened yet.
18. Would you shave your entire body (including your head) for money?
How much money we talking here?
19. Have you ever been to a strip club?
Yes.
20. Ever been to a bar?
Yes.
21. Ever been kicked out of a bar or a club?
Nope, never got that drunk.
22. Ever been so drunk you had to be carried out of somewhere?
Nope, I prefer to be sober enough to remember.
23. Kissed someone of the same sex?
Only younger cousins, and that was just on the cheek for a show of family support and love.
24. Favorite drink?
Coke Zero for non-alky, Dos Equis or Bass & Co. for beer and Daqueris for mixed stuffs.
25. Had sex in a movie theater?
No.
26. Had sex in a bathroom?
No.
27. Have you ever had sex at work?
No... Only place you could do that is in the walk-in fridge... that’s TOO COLD!
28. Have you ever been in an "adult" store?
Yes.
29. Bought something from an adult store?
Yes, a few books for research.
30. Have you been caught having sex?
Nope, because -- to use the word Saurman did -- I am still “unspoiled”, as it were.
31. Does anyone have naughty pics of u?
If they do, I’ll deny their existance to my deathbed.
32. Who do you think has the guts to repost this?
Dunno, but it will be fun to see who does. ^_^

Calling For Paying Commission
Posted 17 years agoOkay, here's what's up, folks.
I'm currently working on finishing a new novel, to be published later in 2008, called PACIFICA SKIES. It's an anthromorphic adventure tale, set in the same vein as "Tales of the Gold Monkey", "Indiana Jones", with a bit of Porco Rosso styling.
Short Answer: It's a Furry Adventure with Seaplanes... and NO it's not "Talespin".
So, what I am needing at this point is an artist who can draw up the primary characters -- to help me realize their visual looks -- and help me create the cover art for the final book. My first choice of artist is currently bogged down with other projects, so I must accept his turn-down and hire someone else.
If anyone is interested in the job -- it will mean your artwork will feature on a published book. -- please drop me a comment or email, which includes links to three of your BEST examples of work, as well as your current price rate for sketches, inked line art and finished color work.
Aside from the money earned from being paid, you'll be given full credit as the cover artist (listed in the books' front matter), and you'll get one copy of the book as a further thank you for your time and effort.
Thanks to everyone for your time and attention on this. I look forward to hearing from all interested parties!

Great NEWS!
Posted 17 years agoIt's been a while since I submitted my first novel to the distribution department at Lulu.com, to see if it will pass their standards and become listed on the major book seller websites. This is a big step, because it will be easier for other people to purchase it from the location of thier choice.
Well, today I happened to check my account on Lulu, just to see if the status had changed.
The "Processing ISBN information" tag was gone . . . BaWUH???
I talked to a live-support tech to see what was what . . . they recommended I go to a book-search site and enter the books ISBN to see if it showed up on Amazon.
Well, IT DID!
My book is officially listed online! WHOOHOO! *is Dancing!*

A little Self-Promotion...
Posted 18 years ago...it's good for the soul. ^_^
Just for those that don't know, I do cel-shade coloring and I write fiction.
I'm still tinkering with the idea of doing coloring commissions -- for artists that would like to see their work colored -- but, I've yet to work out just what to charge people.
I do short stories as commissions as well, and I do have a pricing list and what I will and won't do for people that want a story written. Will be posting that up shortly.
In the meantime, My first ever novel in print is available for purchase over on Lulu.com. For more details you can go here:

Thanks for reading!

Best Introduce Myself...
Posted 18 years agoGreetings all...
My name is Stephen, I've been a former Air Force "brat", a Navy Medic, college grad and most recently a published writer.
I'm not too new to the whole "Furry" deal, but I am sort of new to this site, so bear with me at times . . . with age, comes a little bit of wisdom, but a heck of a lot of going slow at times (because I don't want to miss much!). ^_^
Anyway, I do mostly digital cel-coloring of inks and linework, but I also do graphic design and write fiction, obviously. I'm always looking out for new lines to practice with, so if you allow that sort of thing, drop me a note or shout if you want to let me have some fun with your inks. Plus, I'm always open to collabs and giving ideas to other artists that need a little inspiration.
Plus, I'm friendly by nature, so if you want to talk, chat or even just say "Hi", drop on by and leave me a note or such. I'm always looking to make new friends.
Well, that's all for now. See you all around soonest!
