Commission Update: New Job, Might be another Slow Period

My first day at my new job starts tomorrow!
They're expecting me to work almost 40 hours a week (Seasonal, so it's almost a full time job)

Life Update: New Job, Hired on the Spot! Commission Progress

I got interviewed at Costco last week and I got hired on the spot! I submitted my two weeks notice the same day at H&M.
I tried working a couple more days at H&M but I was mentally and physically burnt out. My bosses got mad at me that I was dragging the team down and affected their store loyalty score my last few days.
I had a heart-to-heart with the store manager. In order to preserve the store goals for loyalty, I left the store yesterday and gave away the rest of my hours to the other employees that needed it.
H&M sadly was not a long-term sustainable job. I found out that even if I had the highest loyalty score, my hours are still not guaranteed. I tried way too hard at the register for no reason. I will say. I'm grateful that I got my retail training there and I'm fully prepared to tackle on Costco.
For now, I have two weeks until my first day there. I'll use this time to finally start working on my commission queue some more! I'll see how far I can get! I don't wanna let any of you all down 🙏
If it weren't for my health insurance going up ($28.50/mo --> $153/mo), I wouldn't be in this position in life.

I'm sorry that the commission delays are still continuing. I'm in negotiations with changing my Part-Time job.
I'm disenfranchised and feel demoralized working at H&M sadly. Constantly selling a pitch for the Free Loyalty Rewards Program every day and being told 'no' a lot is taking a big toll on my mental health and well-being. It has been one of the most demoralizing experiences, but I'm grateful for the skills that I've learned from this job thus far, not only training me for customer service, but also givinge.ideas on how I can approach commissions in the future.
As of now, I was able to snag an interview that will happen today with Costco for a seasonal position in their Clothing Department. Again, thank you so much for your patience during this difficult time in my life.
This is the one of the most mental pain moments I've ever felt in my life and the stress and struggle is tearing me apart inside.
I hope with this job change, I'll get a decent amount of hours to work without too much pressure to constantly sell any loyalty programs. At least at Costco, everyone coming in is guaranteed to have a membership so I don't have to worry about selling any memberships or expecting me to ask for anyone's emails.
I'm done feeling like my self-worth is only determined by a percentage of how much I got people to sign up for a stupid loyalty program when someone should have autonomy to choose.
Please bear with me in this trying time. I'm ready to put in my two weeks notice as soon as I know what the results are after the interview. This is my only shot. 🙏

August Commission Queue Update

I know not much was made in July due to my day job, but my schedule seems to be a little lighter with work this month seeing the weeks ahead. I'm gonna do what I can to get a few done this month.
I know I've been slacking hard, but bills must be paid and the only way I can I'm right now is if I have a part time job on the side so I don't have to rely on constantly taking commissions to cover the bills.
Thank you all for understanding and I do hope August will be a turn-around month for me with art 🙏

Commissions, but at a Grandma's Pace...
Posted 5 months agoI know my commissions are taking awhile to get through, but I promise you, I'm slowly chipping away at it in concurrence with my day job. 🙏 Thank you all so much for your patience!
I'm 3 days away from hitting my 90 day probationary period at my day job and everything looks good so far. At least I have a consistent income every 2 weeks to pay my bills. Something that wasn't possible when I did art commissions full time. I lived at home for 4 1/2 years and now, I'm starting to go back into the real world.
I'm learning a lot at my part time job and I still have a lot to learn with customer service and the like. Something I hope to incorporate into my next round of commissions. I'll be revamping the way I do them once I'm done with my current queue.
Again, I want to sincerely apologize for the long wait times. I can only do so much right now, and I hope it's okay. Please message me if you need a refund, I'll do my best, but know that I can probably only give enough with my current paycheck.

I hope you are all well. Goodness, the end of March sent me through a portal and shot me back out with a different perspective in life.
Given my current financial situation, I took up a part time job in retail to stabilize my income. I actually really like my job right now and I've never allowed my true self to be seen and heard in a real life setting! Unfortunately, my new job has caused me to lack time to work on commissions properly.
Therefore, I'm announcing that from this point forward, my commissions will be closed until further notice.
To my current clients on the queue, I'll still be working on your orders, including the ones that date back a year! It will take more time as I adjust to my new work schedule. I'm terribly sorry for any delays and the anxiety it must have caused you.
Eventually, when I catch up on the queue, I will open 2-3 slots at a time as to not overwhelm myself and I will also be focusing more on personal art.
This was a very difficult decision to make. I'm not proud of the fact that I let people wait so long for their art. I relied heavily on taking in more comms to make ends meet.
Now that I have a job job, my goal is to slowly rebuild a much stable income and really enjoy making art.
Thank you for being part of my journey. I want to continue to be the best I can be for the community, myself and for my loved ones. 🩷

The situation here in the US is upside down for the most part, but, even me, an Asian trans-woman living in the middle of America, I'm somehow still surviving.
I outsmarted the orange man before he took office. How? Well, everything's been updated federally and state-level on my end. Since 2021, I've been strategically updating all my information up until the point where just earlier this month, my passport came in the mail. Granted, the last thing I need to update is my birth certificate, but, thank goodness I was born in another state that doesn't require too many hoops to get it done.
I'm not backing down. The best thing I can do is to smile, wave and laugh. And exist. There's a lot of the world I still wanna see, people I wanna meet IRL and artwork to be done!
I'm not perfect by any means and I know I've been struggling financially... But this gives me peace of mind. If shit hits the fan more, I have the option to leave this country... But, what's holding me back is funds and living with the love of my life.
I'm torn, but knowing that I have the bare minimum of 90% of documentation sorted out, I'm not too worried. Bring it on. 🔥
Just in case, for those of you who are outside of the US, could you do me a favor and comment below links to your countries' asylum seeking process for LGBT individuals? That would be fantastic!

Sorry I took about a month and a half for my mental health and I think I've gotten better and am ready to tackle my commission queue again!
My cousin passed last month and he was very close to me. I had a lot to reflect on and mourn as well as getting into new hobbies like gaming! I started playing 7 Days to Die ^^
