A momentous occasion.
General | Posted 14 years agoActually, several servings of momentous are included in this journal entry.
For instance: the fact that I have not waited eight days to write about something in the journal. *Ahem* My chronic, literary procrastination aside, 343i (and, by association, Microsoft) have announced the release of two new games from the Halo franchise. Halo: Anniversary (this November), and Halo: 4 (late? 2012).
Of the two I am more excited about Halo: Anniversary; an updated, revitalized, reissue of Halo: CE. While the anticipation walking once more those hallowed rings has rendered me nostalgia ridden, it brings up little, nagging concerns. A lot of things were "fixed" over the last four sequels, like the Melee and the shotgun. How much of my fond memories shall remain just that due to the meddling of an unproven developer? Honestly, I'd give my eyeteeth to know that the only things getting tweaked were the graphic resources and sound effects.
H: 4, the Chief wakes up and has, what I swear looks to be, a sound suppressor. It's a year and a half away so details are sure to be scarce. I did notice his armor was sporting a few more polygons, however. Further proof to support my theory that Cryo Sleep is good for your 'skin'!
Here are the trailers:

Well, that's done. Back to reading McCaffrey novels.

General | Posted 15 years agoSo I uploaded some Non Furry images of Vehicles blowing up (prettily) to Images Hack Us and my computer lost network connectivity. Normally I wouldn't care, but it's the second time that has happened out of the two times I have used the site. I guess that Mt. Dew brand User Interface Device cleanser doesn't work after all.
Got some charcoal sticks and some oil "primaries" so I might be able to coax some tonal quality out of my artistic musings.
(This ain't easy, I've tried and failed more times than SMG starts on H:2 Multiplayer)

All he needs now is a confetti launcher hidden in the methane tank "Yay!"

General | Posted 15 years agoThe previous journal has been glassed by the Covanant. A UNSC scout ship has been dispatched to survey the damage.
This technological terror you have constructed.

Well the Intuos4 just arrived and I have been tinkering with it for about 30 minutes while trying, among other things, to adjust it to my graceless hand.
I can tell you, the user interface has blown my mind. It is truly an intuitive and sensibly built pad. I have not even found uses for all eight keys along with the the selection wheel. That is wonderful, mind you.
Over all, I am quite pleased with this most recent purchase. Now there is nothing to keep me from a constant flood of creativity! (Hopefully aimed away from spamming the submissions page)
