Posted 5 years agoAs some of you may have noticed, I really haven't been as active on here as of late. I've been working on opening up to other social media and seeing how I can expand my reach with my artwork. I have created a twitter that's a lot more focused on my artwork in addition to my personal twitter account. I will likely be posting more work in progress pictures to my twitter, and posting to FA later on. I will also be posting adoptables to twitter before FA, but they will end up here shortly after!

Posted 5 years agoWell since I'm in one of my organization moods (procrastinating things that really need done) I'm making a list of my characters' References, and written descriptions (personalities and whatnot).
Lucas Richard Wilczak:
Birthday: May 24th, 1994 (same as mine)

Written Reference: Lukewilk Wilczak, (Pronounced Lukeveelk Veelchek) was born and raised in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, by his mother and father. His mother is a Mexican Wolf with distant relation to the extinct British wolf through her mother. His father is a German Shepherd born and raised in Poland, who came over to the United States when he was a teenager. He has a younger brother named Javier, who resembles more of his mother than his father. Lukewilk has German shepherd markings similar to his father's side of the family, but a body build more commonly associated with wolves. He's very shy around people he doesn't know and has trouble talking to guys. He's gay, but anyone who isn't close to him really couldn't tell. He talks, and acts rather straight when he's alone in public, just because he simply can't help it. It takes a true friend to bring out his flamboyant side, but if you can bring it out, you’ll never see the end of it. He's a great person and always tries to do the right thing, as long as it doesn't require too much work. He can be rather lazy...
Vincent Hiena:
Birthday: March 31st

Written reference: Vincent Hiena (pronounced E-eh-nah according to Vincent, if that's even his actual last name...) is a quite stunning punk Hyena. He has some violent anger issues, but they don't own him. He owns them. In fact, according to him, he owns everything. He owns the hell out of everything. He's Über straight, but he is friends with Lukewilk, though he would never admit it. He is easily (and highly) offended by homosexual advances, and feels very uncomfortable when people talk about anything gay. As a good friend pointed out, he's the type of guy to just scream out in the middle of a happy field with bunnies and flowers "Get away! I'll kill every one of you!!" He moved to the U.S. from a formerly British territory in South Africa when he was 13, and has been in and out of Juvenile hall a few times since. Though his accent has faded a little, you can still catch it whenever he's angry (which is pretty often). He's known to say things like "Go ahead, get some more you bloody bastard!" or "I told you so didn't I? You little Tyke!!" in a fight, and mind you, he'll probably win. He doesn't always fight clean. As for his appearance, he changes his hair color, eyes, clothes, and accessories (piercings) daily to adhere to his mood. Some obvious ones are:
anger- red
sadness- blue
happiness- orange
idgaf- white
drunk/hungover- green (chartreuse)
confused- purple
As for pink... well, he's a little too macho for a color such as that.
Remember that his hair and piercings are always very bright/neon shades, while his pants/clothes are always darker.

She has night like markings, and eyes that have very light pupils When she experiences emotion, her pupils almost completely fade away and her eyes are made up of very light shades of blue which make her appear blind to those who don’t know her. Ironically, she has great vision, especially in the dark. Her name derives from her traits, Oscura meaning night, and Cirra deriving from Cirrus clouds. She’s bisexual but doesn’t advertise it. She has a very laid-back personality. She’s witty, caring, and indifferent.

Written reference: Striker is a completely white wolf who lives for music. He loves to rock out to metal and punk, and dancing to rave, house, dubstep and all other subgenres of electronica. He’s always up and about, and the best way to get him down is to play slow music. He loathes moving slow, and will always be the one to keep it fast. Of course, his favorite band of all time is Powerman 5000. He modeled his whole look after Spider One, the band’s lead singer. He has every piece of memorabilia you could possibly find, and is always wearing something PM5K as long as he can help it. He has said on occasion that he's bisexual, but aside from some heavy teasing he hasn't actually done much with other guys.
Chance Sencillo:
Birthday: April 21st (He refuses to acknowledge that it's actually on April 20th)

Written reference: Chance is a pretty laid-back guy. He's a bit of a stoner and a major hipster, but doesn't constantly announce it to the heavens that he loves weed, and frankly doesn't even remember that 4/20 is technically a holiday. He doesn't believe in labeling sexual orientations, but rather just goes with the flow, even though he isn't a very sexual person in general. He likes calm and slow music, especially almost anything acoustic, and hates extremely loud unexpected noises, even though he's a little too slow to even jump at them. He prefers low saturated colors, and typically wears sweaters and knit hats year round unless it gets really hot out, though he almost always wears a pair of shorts self made from an older pair of skinny jeans. His major dislikes are small portions of food, coffee, post-aggressive power grunge (he keeps swearing to me that it's a real genre, "unfortunately"), and duct tape (there was an incident involving Striker but he still won't tell me exactly what happened).
Nailah Fahefana:
Birthday: August 15th

Written reference: Nailah is a very well organized fossa who has a bit of a girly girl vibe. As successful she is at most things, (including being the Mayor of the small town of Eminence), fixing her boyfriend Chance's faults isn't one of them. Luckily the residents of her town tend to notice his outstandingly friendly personality more-so than his complete incompetence. Even though she can be a lot more feminine than Oscura, the two are good friends and are often found together whenever they can get away from the group.
Maurice Bullie:

Written reference: Maurice is a Gentlemanly bull terrier with a love for what borders on a masculine version of the pastel grunge fad. Despite his exterior he's actually very caring and kind and doesn't hide it. He has a twin brother whom frequently bothers him at work. Maurice is gay and shows this proudly through the tattoo sleeves which resemble a rainbow checkerboard fading in and out across his arms, and his witty tank tops. He's very protective of his brother as if he's much older, even though he's actually ten minutes younger by birth.

Written reference: Robert is the drunken twin brother of Maurice. He hasn't really bothered with figuring out a sexual identity yet after discovering that there's more to life that heterosexuality. He sits at the bar where his brother works and ignores the advances of others simply to enjoy the benefits of his brother being a bartender. He sits and chatters with his brother for hours, usually until close, and stumbles into his brother's car for a ride back to the house they inherited from their grandmother. He dresses like a typical hipster and lets his messy mane of hair do whatever it seems to feel like doing in between washes. He has a tattoo across his back that states" "Pretty in Pink? Manly I think" in order to show his pride (or just lack of care) toward his largely pink patterns. His bitter sarcastic attitude tends to push people away unless they know him or can get past it.
Brant Ap Llyr:
Birthday: Unknown

Written reference: Brant is an apathetic Corgi with a love for tech and a highly selective few friends, one of which is not by his own choice. Chance is his best and only friend in the main gang. He taught himself to hack and often messes with big name cyber security systems just to hone his skills. He's also often accompanied by a glitch monster name Voxx (owned by huskeee on twitter), whether he wants to be or not. Voxx "helps" him with his tech, usually to more mischievous results than intended.
This is mainly for me to refer to when getting refs for people but feel free to refer to it anytime you need<3

Posted 7 years agoI've been thinking about it on and off for the past year and I think I may want to move to an account more matching my other social media. I've been conflicted for a long time on how to sign my work since my twitter is under LukeWilczak and my FA page is here. I want it to be easy for people to see the signature on my work and search for me across all social media platforms I use.
I'd probably keep this just as an archive if anything for my much older pieces. That would also help me push away from some of my older pieces where I would draw a character with a blank white background. I want to work on doing more with backgrounds and fill a gallery with more substantial work.

Anthrocon Recap<3
Posted 9 years agoSo this year obviously wasn't as magical as my first Anthrocon, but then again none of them have been. I honestly had a really good time. Meeting a lot of online friends who I have known forever in person for the first time was amazing and I just wish I could spend another week with each of them!
I got a lot of cool things and didn't go over my budget, and also managed to avoid buying useless things that I would later regret. Though I'm still waiting on communication from an artist who seemed to have disappeared without a word (leaving their name out for privacy purposes), I got an amazing commission done by
and I will be scanning it soon to post! I also got a long term commission from 
vanderlugt that I'm really excited about, and a quote for a tattoo design commission from 
ishaway with the perfect style for what I had in mind!
I got to hang out with good friends and managed to almost completely avoid getting stressed out over side drama in my life. Also it seems that the people important to me who got to meet for the first time at AC got along very well!
So yeah, for now AC still seems to be my favorite convention out of the handful I have attended, and I plan to keep going in the years ahead!

I'm trying to get some extra money together for bills and conventions and such, but it's rather difficult to save while driving a gas hog of a Jeep and needing to eat and whatnot. Posted 10 years agoSo my brother just noticed a leak in our kitchen within the past hour. More importantly a leak from our upstairs bathroom through the ceiling into our kitchen. I know this probably doesn't sound as bad to anyone reading as it does to me, but for reference, we've been having plumbing issues in our bathroom for years so there's no telling how bad the leak is in between floors, and there is not one room in our house that would possibly pass an inspection. The leak is fast enough to have soaked a towel two minutes after my mum put it down on the floor.
I have always known that this house is unsafe and most likely a huge factor in my depression and anxiety, but this is the first time I have ever seriously feared for my life in my own home outside of a dream.
Sorry for the vent session...
EDIT: The leak has been "fixed" so all is well for now.

Tablet broken~ And other info
Posted 11 years agoSo my crappy tablet has finally bit the dust for the most part, and in order to get something better it would be more expensive than just buying a decent tablet pc and using that. So until I save up for that I will not have any digital art (I know I haven't had any in forever anyways but I was working on a couple big pieces), and I was wondering if anyone has ever used the Fujitsu Lifebook T5010 graphics tablet computer. I saw a review from a somewhat major artist on tumblr (can't remember the name, sorry) saying it worked well, but I'm not entirely sure and the amazon reviews pretty much go either way. I'd end up taking it to school and friends' places which means I would use it for digital art, programs like AutoCAD and Sketchup, and games like League of Legends and possibly the Sims 4 and Minecraft.
On an unrelated note I had a nightmare last night that involved mine and my mum's reflections coming to life and coming out of the mirror in a possessed like manner and wondered if anyone knew if that had any type of meaning. I don't have nightmares very often anymore so it was rather concerning and I couldn't find any search results for that specific of a dream.
