The Wolf (AKA Me)
Posted 11 years agoSome thought at the Renaissance Festival yesterday helped me come to a conclusion about my wolf character. The blue markings will actually be blue dragon features, such as spikes starting at the top of the head and going all the way down the back up to the base of the tail. There will also be a pair of small blue wings that will be basically non-functional (ie, they can move and flap but will not be strong enough to lift the wolf). The left ear will also have a small dragon earring (shown here: http://a.tgcdn.net/images/products/.....ing_in_ear.jpg )
Also, if the polar bear can be depicted with a kilt, that would be amazing. I just have to figure out what the Jordan tartan looks like...

The Characters
Posted 11 years agoI am slowly working on the back story for the characters I referred to in my previous journal. As I am more of a writer than a drawer, this part ought to go better than me trying to draw them at this point.
For those who may be interested, these are the main anthro characters in the story (there are others, and there are humans, but these are the main focus):
Sapio, a wolf with blue markings. The only marking that is definite is the heart symbol made up of a treble clef and a bass clef on the back of her left shoulder (seen here: http://img3.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb.....clef-heart.jpg ) She is on the small side, but not tiny.
Ring, a polar bear with green markings. Sapio's primary partner.
Torin, a deep (royal?) purple dragon with a few tattoos on his arms. Before choosing to draw Torin, PLEASE let me know, as I still have to get pictures of the tattoos on the person on whom Torin is based.
Ruby, a coelacanth that will either be purple (probably a lighter purple than the dragon), or will have purple markings. Not entirely sure yet whether it would be better as an anthro coelacanth or as a coelacanth that breathes air and floats around in said air.
Hope this helps anyone considering aiding me in this endeavor.
Take care!

New to FA...Sort Of
Posted 11 years agoHello all!
I am quite familiar with the work that can be found on FA, but only just recently decided I would finally scrounge myself up a name and profile. There's a couple reasons for this. As a longtime member of DeviantART, there is just simply certain types of artwork that is not allowed there but is welcomed with open arms here. I enjoy a fair amount of said artwork.
On the other hand (or paw, as the case may be), a friend of mine also suggested that I finally get an account here because I am looking for people who are willing to work with me on character creation. I have a cast of anthros (based on close friends and play partners) that I would love to see brought to life, but I have little drawing ability compared to at least half of the artists on this site. I have animal types and colors of markings, but not what exactly those markings will be. Just about anyone who is willing to assist me would be happily paid a commission for their help.
And maybe, just maybe, I can pick up a few drawing pointers along the way.
Take care!
