A html/web based game I've been playing is shutting down in the next several hours. It's weird to see something that's been online for nearly twenty years, something that's been a part of my daily life since 2012, go away. It's thanks to the UK's 'online safety act' that this is happening. I hope it can be revivified someday.

I lost my cat to old age and a stroke Thursday night. I knew his time was coming, but you always hope for more. This comes a few days after the 4 year anniversary of losing my Mom as well. At least my cat, Rico, can be with her now too.

I'm still seeing him out of the corner of my eye, walking into the room to get some food, just like always. I had a dream this morning (Saturday) that I had given up my cat recently so I wouldn't have to deal with his death, then changed my mind and started screaming "I want my cat back" and yelling as loudly as I could. I woke up after three times doing this and remembered he was already gone and was hit with more grief. Any time I lay down I am flooded with memories of him and what happened last night. I now live with another void in my life. I have cameras in my house. Watching them helps me with the timeline and to put together what happened.

Around 1140pm Thursday, Rico got up and stumbled around the couch, trying to get down. Then he fell off and threw up and peed. I heard him throw up and came out to see him there. I comforted him and wiped him off, and he slowly got back up on his own, and I picked him up and brought him into the computer room and cuddled with him some. He was still alert and purring, like he normally would. I showed him outside of the house a bit. I woke my husband and let him know that there was something wrong with Rico and it's probably his time. I cried. I kept him with me can cuddled for a couple of hours and he threw up again. I gave him some wet food and water, and some treats. He was still walking and looking around in his tired way. Tried to go to bed around 115am, but after a while Rico started rolling and fumbling around. I took him to the other room and I got online and spent some time in a video chat with some friends while I cuddled with Rico. He was still fumbling around. I am guessing that he was probably having a massive stroke. His head was tilted sideways and he had no balance. I layed him on the ground and he acted like he was running sideways. I picked him up and held him. After a while, around 330am, he threw up again and went completely limp. I checked his eyes and there was no response to light at all. He started doing what I now know is agonal breathing. I knew he was gone at this point. After a while his pupils became unbalanced. I took him back to bed and slept with him for a few hours. We took him to the local animal shelter around 915am.

My 1989 Nissan D21 truck hit 250000 miles today! I forgot to take a pic of it tho :(

I'm sorry I never got the chance to meet you in person. Helping you fund getting FA back up and running way back in 2005 was one of my fondest memories in the fandom.

Does anyone remember what that video was where it was an MLP like Twilight or maybe somebody else entirely walking through this sidescrolling world of weird shit and it was actually a parody of a different video where a different creature was walking through a sidescrolling world of weird/scary shit and there was cool music and stuff?

All that happens is the character carries a torchlight with them and they're walking from the left to the right, different things happen in different areas, sometimes going with the music. At the end, in the darkness, the torchlight is blown out.

Oh man this is gonna be so much fun!! My BF is coming up from Houston! And I only live about ten minutes up the road from the place.

Submissions are nearly at TEN THOUSAND, they've been over 9000 for a long time now, and I can't keep up with looking at them all! Since I've been working, I haven't had time to sit and look through them all day. It will get done somehow.

At Ft. Huachuca doing training...

I've been working at it for the last week and a half now. I've been hired for a company in the Dallas/Ft. Worth area that installs fire alarm, burglar alarm, access control, and CCTV systems. They already have me working right out with fire alarm stuff, which I'm very much wanting to get in to as a career, etc.

Funny thing how I got the job too. I've been sitting doing next to nothing since I got back from Afghanistan in September, besides my month long vacation to California. A local friend suggested that I try doing fire, and apply at this place. I go get a new shirt, pants, a haircut, and show up there with no resume or anything. I ring the buzzer and the desk lady says 'the guy you'll be interviewing with is at lunch right now' so I went and hung out at Fry's for an hour and came back, filled out the application, and then the guy interviewed me pretty casually for something like an hour and he seemed to like my experience and stuff. A couple of weeks later they called and said go down to get your background check/drug screen/polygraph test tomorrow morning. I started working full time the next day
