So here is my obligatory post-con summary! Overall, MFF was a great con and this year really cemented its place as my favorite con. It was my second year and just as great as the first. I once again was not in the main hotel but the shuttle service, lack of elevator wait time, and free breakfast made up for it. I brought 4 suits: Ruki, Ryu, Milo, and Stella. This was the first con that I really planned out which suit I would wear when, and I feel like that really paid off. I got to give them all attention and except for Milo, I know there's lots of pictures taken of them. By the way, if you find any of me, send them my way! Speaking of pictures, I managed to find a different photographer for my fursuits this year and he was wonderful! Go give Blazecollie follows everywhere and give him money! He does photoshoots for free a lot and I feel like he needs more appreciation and such. So now, into specifics!

Thursday
We got there on Thursday evening, around 8 I believe. All I really did that day was partial in Ruki for a bit and went to the dance.

Friday
I didn't have much planned on Friday other than the cats and boxes panel, so I just kinda drifted around in Milo. It was his debut con! It was awesome to be able to bring my fursona to life and to bring out some cat sass. I was kinda drunk and tired this day, so I was a little out of it and don't remember much rip. At 7:30 was Game Grumps Live though! I bought tickets like a month in advance and I was pumped as FUCK to go. And it was super amazing, totally worth the money. I loved seeing downtown Chicago too. I'm a sucker for big cities and this one really made me fall in love.

Saturday
This was my busy day! I had a ton planned and really got to have fun! I woke up early for the gift exchange, and I felt kinda inferior with all the amazing gifts. I ended up getting a super gay pink horse plush and an awesome badge drawn by Jay. I headed back to my room to suit up in Ruki for the menagerie. I didn't really care about the menagerie itself, but I was excited for the fennec photoshoot and the green suit photo. Right after that, I went to do a sweet music video, which was really cool! I got to internally fangirl over some popufurs and I fell in love with how delightfully Australian Sunny Dingo is. I also got to see someone I used to talk to years ago, and it was cool to catch up although I was a little ashamed at how I had embarrassed myself in front of him when I was younger. After that I went to a party, which was pretty awesome, and I got to experience some new stuff. There was another party after that one which I won't talk about publicly. And then I missed out on the dance again in favor of meeting up with some people.

Sunday
This was the day when things were starting to wind down a bit. I suited around in Ryu for a bit, and my photoshoot was today. Unfortunately 2 suiters were missing so I'll see what I can do about that. This was the day it snowed though, and that was super exciting! In NC, we don't get much and it usually melts right way, so I was really pumped to go play in it. There were definitely people taking pictures of me being adorable, so hopefully those turn up soon. The dance comp was happening as well, but I missed it in favor of cheering up a friend. I'll be watching it on Youtube when it goes up. After the dance comp and my photoshoot, I was dying so I went back to my hotel. I had some free time so I ordered Dominos! Probably my favorite part of the con tbh. Those chocolate lava cakes are baeeee. After that, I went back to the con and hung out with friends. Unfortunately I missed the dance yet again omg

And then we packed up and left on Monday. Here's some quick general notes about the con
-I bought a certified dancerfur badge from MaryMouse! It's official guys B)
-This was the debut con of Sparks 2.0 all together as well as his 4.0 head. It was also the debut of Milo and a certain red cheese wedge's new head. I had one other suiter at the con but I never ran across her
-There were some really shitty moments but overall I think the good things made up for it

So I have returned from FAU! It was a really fun con and marked some important milestones in my life. As a general overview, there were of course pros and cons but the pros hugely outweigh the cons. Alright, you guys already know I have a shit memory but I'll do the best I can!

-We left Friday morning, drove 5 hours and got there in the early afternoon

-I suited in Ruki and got drunk ofc

-Me and Sparks had a drunken impromptu floor wars and then jammed at the dance till the lights came on

-On Saturday, we went to watch Kelix in the talent show

-I wore Ryu for the fursuit parade, it was the debut for his new head

-Room party shenanigans and much drunk

-Sunday, Kelix and his friend treated us to a delicious breakfast

-Sparks and Kelix somehow talked me into doing the dance comp goddammit

-Right before we left the room for the dance comp, I shoved the ring in my pocket while Sparks wasn't looking cause I was gonna propose anyway but my previous plans didn't work out. It was super last minute, but I wanted to do something big. Huge shoutout to Kelix for helping me so much with everything, I really couldn't have done it without you, dude! So I went up to dance last and I was a tad tipsy so I wouldn't be as nervous but I assume I did well! I heard some occasional cheering from the crowd. Then after my song ended, they played our song and I grabbed Sparks. He was so confused, he had no idea what has happening haha. But I managed to pull everything together last minute for a lovely proposal. I believe I ended up tying for third(was a bit confusing) and both of us got free admission for next year!

So yeah, needless to say, this was a big con for me. My first dance comp and of course the proposal. This was a wonderful con, especially after the mess of FWA. Not many friends went to this con, there were only 3 people I hung out with, but I still felt such an amazing amount of love and support and even got to make some new friends! It always amazes me how friendly furries are.

Another big shoutout to the friends who made this con amazing!

MFF is my only other con planned this year, but next year we are thinking about doing TFF, FTM, AC, FAU, FP, and MFF or at least some of those haha. FTM, AC, FAU and MFF are pretty much definite.

So I'll be heading to FAU early Friday morning. I've spent most of this week working on an update for Ryu's head but this journal is for what I plan to do when I get back! This plan basically extends the rest of the year. This is more a reminder for myself.

- gave me his feet because the bottoms are worn out, so i will be replacing the bottoms on those
-I've made decent progress on Pluma's bodysuit, and I will be continuing on that
-The iron man angel dragon has had the yellow fur cut out and partly sewn but I will be cutting out the rest of the body and sewing it
-As for hands, I've sewn part of Ryu's new hands together and will be finishing that
-Bri's hands have been cut out as well but may be done at a later date
-Pluma's hands are all cut out
-The rest of the queue still needs hands cut out but there are assorted complications like missing refs or missing pieces
-The very beginnings of all of the heads has been assembled and those will all be foamed as a batch
-I've cut out long pieces of paper for tail patterns for Bri, Iron man AD, Pluma, and the premade. I'll be making the patterns and cutting out those pieces
-As usual, feet will be done last and I still have yet to buy shoes for anyone
-I will probably be making a pattern for shoe-less feet at the same time I update Sparks' feetpaws

Short version: it sucked. HARD.

As usual, my memory is atrocious so I can't completely go over it in order.

We got there Thursday afternoon and I had forgotten a pretty important part of registration. So I couldn't register until Friday morning and I had to miss the dance. That was the first super bad thing that happened. Anyone who knows me knows I fricken love dancing so it was quite a bummer. It was also early afternoon when we got there and our roomies weren't there yet so we had to wander around a bit till they got there and we could unload our stuff.

FRIDAY

- got his card info stolen early in the con so we immediately went from around $600 to none and we were forced to borrow money from a friend to even get home. Shout out to , we wouldn't be here without him <3

-getting to see again in her beautiful new suit was an absolute delight! I was so proud of her when I saw she got in the dance comp <3

-attended the carolina furs meetup and got a sweet badge to show for it! I was stunned by just how many of us there are

-although I planned on going to floor wars, I skipped it in favor of food, oops

-got to go to the dance on Friday thank goodness and I wiggled my booty off in suit

SATURDAY

-had to wake up early-ish for the fursuit photo and stuff. I ended up in the very very back but whatever

-I was able to get a group photo with my suiters so that was nice. It was a good bit smaller than the one at MFF with only 4 of us there but I'm still happy it happened. It always makes me proud to see others wearing my creations

-totally did not give a shit about the fursuit mingle so I just skipped it

-me and the bf went to dairy queen because i literally havent been there in at least 10 years or so

-DANCE COMP. My god it was no doubt the best I've ever seen. It was so good I didn't even know who was gonna place. Once again Prism stunned me with her rockin moves

-Nother dance, twas fun

SUNDAY

-slept pretty late cause not much was going on

-fennec meet! Now that I have a fennec suit, figured I'd attend and it was super fun! We played an awesome drinking game but unfortunately I didn't get drunk

-we were out of alcohol at this point and dancing was a lot less fun. I had a really bad cramp in my side that made things harder and there was a certain someone who didn't get the hint that hey, I kinda need space to dance :/

MONDAY

-I didn't get any sleep sunday night because of multiple reasons. This is when my con crashed and burned. I will not go into detail because I personally feel it should stay between those involved but if you were involved and want to know my side of the story instead of assuming I randomly became a no good piece of shit after me being nice literally the entire con, message me

-we spent a good chunk of the day wandering around the hotel because we didn't have a room and no friends would let us in. The bf wanted so badly to sleep but I kept him up the whole time because I was desperate for someone to be there for me

-we left around noon and got back home around 10pm or so and I went straight to bed because I'm super sick

General stuff

-I brought 3 suits: Ryu, Alex, and Ruki, but I was in Ruki the entire con except for 2 short chunks. I didn't wear Ryu at all oops

-it was good to see a lot of old friends that I hadn't seen since MFF as well as a ton of locals

-I was drunk kinda more than I expected but still not much. I think generally I was sober most of the day but then drunk after 7pm-ish with the exception of sunday. Basically I was drunk for the dances but not much else, so for those who think I was drunk the entire con, no. As usual.

-I got fucking sick around saturday-sunday. Coughing a bunch. And my allergies randomly acted up one morning making me sneeze my ass off. Not to mention the random cramp that showed up on sunday.

-our room was constantly absurdly hot and humid. The windows would be dripping wet often and it was hard to tell what clothes were clean because everything was wet. We found several cockroaches in our room. Basically: step up your game, Marriott.

-ohmygod everyone thought I was Ruki. There were 3 types of people: people who though I was Ruki, people who thought the suit looked 'familiar' after the modifications, and people who knew what was going on. It was soooo fucking funny

-so yeah, con started off shitty, and the ending has left me constantly crying ever since. I'm absurdly glad this con is over and we're thinking about skipping FWA next year. This is the 3rd year in a row that this con has sucked

update journal or whatever, im not going to try to be professional or anything. this is mostly work stuff, sorry. personal stuff is at the end

-my personal suit of my fursona, cinnamon, is pretty close to done. gotta do some finishing stuff on the head, fix the body, make the tail, make the feet, and make the hands. despite all that stuff, i dont have too much to do. if i dont finish everything, i can always just wear ryu's feet for mff.

-ive been wanting to update 's head yet again but i'll wait till i have enough money for some nice purple seal fur.

-my kitty premade was finally snatched up with the ladder option to upgrade to a partial! that extra money helped me buy some stuff ive been wanting for a loooonng time. im hoping to finish the other parts by the end of the year, i'll start it after mff

-ryu's new bodysuit is done, so im officially totally satisfied with him and i dont want to update anything on him. still gotta do his tongue though, which im actually working on right now

-'s suit will hopefully be done for mff also. i'll have the head, hands, and tail done for mff, and while at mff we'll do the dtd so i can make the rest

-'s suit is veerrrry close to done. the hands are so close to done, i just finished sewing them. i gotta wait till the bae wakes up to shave the other one cause that shaver be looouuuudd. ive started on his feet a bit but theyre sorta low priority

-ive been working on a skunky skunk for quite a long time, since anthrocon 2014 to be exact. i removed him from the queue ages ago because the commissioner is someone i know in real life who doesnt mind waiting till im not up to my eyes in work. i finished his head for anthrocon 2014 but i recently ripped his face fur off to refurb him

-the trade for is pretty close. the white legs are like 90% done, i just gotta sew the crotch. i have shoes for just the white pair right now, so ive started on the feets. the gray pair is gonna wait till after mff but ideally i'll finish at least the white legs by mff

-my trade head with vivid is barely started and i feel so bad cause theyre like almost done with mine aaahhhh. but i'll see what i can do




so yeah the reason things are taking so long is cause im working on a lot at once. and right now mff suits are getting priority, sorry. so uhhh personal stuff i guess?
