I've been feeling kinda crummy the past few days but it really hit me today. My body is really weak and I've just been laying in bed since I woke up cause I feel so awful. I'll do what I can in terms of fursuit making but I can't promise too much.

So I guess I kinda sorta went through a breakup maybe? It's hella complicated and we're still talking about it but I'm hoping not much will change. I mean I guess it isn't much of a surprise but I'm still super bummed out.

About conventions: It's pretty much a definite that I'm going to fangcon. I also will probably either be going to fur reality or mff, preferably the latter. I'm hoping to get my cinnamon fursuit done by whichever con i go to next.

Commission stuff: I have a pair of faun legs that I'm currently working on which have to be done by september 1st so that's all I have been and will be working on until they're done. I had a great time! I got to hang out with  marshmallowtwirl and  thegamerfox again, which was actually one of the main reasons I went in the first place.

Gonna get the bad out of the way. It rained a lot and 's suit got totally soaked, but it was on the last day so it was ok. It was also a little smaller than I would have liked, in terms of con space mostly. But there were also no interesting panels to go to so I fell asleep crazy early friday and saturday night.

But! The good far outweighs the bad. I'll start from the beginning I guess but for the most part I don't know what happened when.

and I left NC at about 1 am on Friday and got to florida at around noon-ish. We brought our suits as well as Athena and the premade cat that's still for sale. I gave the cat head to who wore it for the whole con. I went out of suit the first time to check out the con, get my badge, and see where things were. After that, I literally wore my suit every single time I went to the con! The hotel was good temperature wise, the headless lounge was pretty great, and my suit is amazing for long outings. Since I refurbed him, I have ridiculously amazing vision and a lot of people took pictures cause he's so much cuter now!

I didn't go to the dances either night because I fell asleep too early both nights. Partly I was tired from suiting but saturday morning they were doing construction RIGHT outside the hotel and I woke up at 4 am. Ugh. I did go to the dance comp of course though, and my baby got to compete! I'm still so proud of her. She was friggin amazing.

I also bought a certified fursuit maker badge from marymouse and a yes hugs badge from identifur so ye. That's all I bought cause I'm poor.

While I was there I doodled a design for a suit I wanna make soon. In addition to my main fursona, Cinnamon, I'm also really excited to bring my secondary fursona, Alex, to life. He'll be a 3/4 suit unless somewhere along the way I decide to go for a fullsuit. So expect to see him around sometime soonish maybe? I dunno I don't even have fur for him yet. Also, I was thinking about my angel dragon and decided to make him a grump angel dragon! I don't think that's been done yet. He'll hopefully have big teeth and a scowl and maybe make a harsh angry sound.

So there, current happenings. I'll hopefully get back into the swing of commissions pretty soon, I'm still recovering a bit from the con.

So I've had problems for a while when it comes to people contacting me, mostly in regards to my business and a little in real life so I wanted to talk about myself so people know why I do what I do.

I'm young. I won't say how young cause that's personal, but I do live with my parents still. Which means I don't have to pay rent or buy food or anything. I also don't know how to drive because it gives me super anxiety. Whether I can go somewhere depends on my boyfriend's availability and willingness to take me. I don't want to turn this journal into a sob story, but I have depression and anxiety as well as super bad procrastination issues.

What does this all mean in relation to my business? Well, money isn't a huge deal for me since I don't have rent to pay or anything like that. And pretty much everything stated above amounts to: I work very slowly. I don't know how to use a sewing machine because I really enjoy hand sewing and I'm not terribly eager to learn. Also, a lot of times I get into depressed slumps and I lose all motivation to work on anything. I procrastinate terribly as well so don't expect your deadlines to be met necessarily.
There are some fursuit parts I enjoy making more than others and that will greatly affect how eager I am to get it done. For example: I hate making heads and feet, I'm neutral about tails, and I adore bodysuits and hands. But I don't really like digi bodysuits. A lot of making a suit is pushing past the initial laziness and actually working on it. Like, once I make the pattern for a digi bodysuit, it picks up a lot from there. But it often takes a lot of effort just to start.
A big problem I have also is undercharging myself. I feel my suits are for the most part near-ish professional quality? There are some things I really don't like about my suits right now and that affects my desire to do a certain part of a project. Like right now, I have a commission that's been sitting in my queue forever but I don't want to start on it because I've never done a resin head before.
A common hitch I run into while making a suit is shaving the head. I HATE it and I've still not had a good outcome of shaving to this day. Shaver, scissors, neither work as well as I want and I can't afford a new shaver because I severely undercharge myself. I always prefer characters with generic colors so I can use seal fur for the face.

Is there anything that you, as the customer can do to help with the process? Aside from giving me an easier project, no. Part of being a great fursuit maker is overcoming challenging projects and I just have to learn to make it better. It is good to ask about your project occasionally so my guilt will drive me to finish it.

Also some stuff about real life to note, in case you didn't know. I'm a trans man! I'm actually a really outgoing person once you get to know me, but getting close is hard cause I'm really shy and anxious. I was cursed with a really high voice so I don't talk often and when I do it's rarely more than a few words. When I'm in suit, I prefer not to talk but I will if I have to. If you want to talk to me, just keep in mind I'm a guy, please! It's a lot easier for me if you respect that right off the bat. There aren't many people I would consider friends, especially in the fandom, but I really would like to make some friends! So feel free to talk, I'm interested in a lot of things. And feel free to be crazy with me, I love people who are really out there! It's hard to offend me, so go nuts. (also if you wanna flirt, go ahead pleeeease, im in a super open relationship and it makes me happy)

I'm wanting to make a premade suit! It will probably be a head/hands/tail with ladder options.

Soooo...what would people be interested in species, marking, and color wise? I'd prefer something that has the fur I have in stock already, so what I have is: all the rainbow colors, lime green, baby pink, dark brown, black, white, olive, gray. I have a ton of red and lime green so probably something using primarily one of those.

I'd prefer something other than a canine for practice, but I'd definitely do a canine if it had something new to it! It will be a toony foam based head with following eyes.

and I finally bought a mannequin head so thats rad

I already have the tail done and the hands cut out and I just bought some foam so I'm gonna work on head and feet and then once I get some duct tape I can do the dtd for the bodysuit. I wanna get some seal fur too for her bodysuit

I actually had a ton of fun! Totally made up for my crap anthrocon last year. Made a new friend too, shout out to Frost. Also got to see a lot of my local friends as well as someone I've wanted to meet for a while.

I got there about 3 on Friday and stayed till mid Monday. I suited Friday and Saturday in Ryu. The dance comp was amazing of course. Also I got to meet Prism holy shit. Holy fuck she was so awesome aaaaaaaahhhh.

Also I got a huge amount of messages holy shit. Sorry to those who have been waiting for a response, I was partying hard. I should get to them today.

There are a few problems though. I lost one of Ryu's badges while I was suiting. Also, my mate took a bin of my stuff somewhere other than the place I specifically told him to take it. So, since that bin is not at my house, my fursuit is gone as well as the suit I was selling. That bin also has my work stuff, so I am potentially unable to work on commissions for a few weeks. I am so super fucking pissed about this. Apologies to all my commissioners for the delay. I'll see if I can work something out.

It's been an amazing year for me! Met and fell in love with a fantastic man, met a ton of new friends, went to my first convention and furry meet up. Got my first real commissions, which I'm still working on. I want to thank all of my watchers, certainly the ones who I've gotten to know.

So, I had an absolute blast at Anthrocon! It was my first convention and I had loads of fun. I was there with my mate and we were both in the fursuit parade. It was a huge moment of pride going out there and showing off my work. I suited off and on friday and saturday, and I jammed out in my suit at the saturday night dance. A lot of the time I just carried my head with me because it was so hard to breathe, gah. I got there late thursday and stayed till sunday afternoon. I got to meet some awesome people and I saw so many incredible suits. I'm just so exhausted x.x

I'm going to be closing fursuit head commissions because I feel like I could use more improvement before selling my work. All parts will remain open, though.

I will be starting on a personal fullsuit shortly as a means of practice for myself so I can improve things and try new techniques. Her name is Selena, and she is a black, white, and red cat. Bummy color combo, I know, but it's mostly for practice and I have a lot of those colors. I am hoping to complete her this year, but once school starts up, who knows. She will feature sockpaws, foam base head, close fitting bodysuit, and shaved handpaws.
