I am finally moved into my new place and can get back to work on my commissions tomorrow. Fiiiiiinally

Doing custom adoptables for a while. This basically means you get to dictate a character design for me to use and I'll make it! I'm going to be doing the streams for it on a bit of a schedule so you can watch me work on yours and you'll know exactly when I'll be doing it. Female characters only; you get to pick the species, hair, markings, piercings and tattoos all for the one cost. You'll get a front and back view as well as a headshot!

I'll be streaming $20 (USD) custom character adoptables at https://picarto.tv/Stella every night/morning this week. I'll also be streaming any other Commissions I'll receive at the same time. So if you would like a commission, please post so below. Be sure to refer to my price page before committing yourself to something. I definitely do not want to message you about a commission and be told you can't afford it. That's a waste of both of our time.

I rise from the ashes or something like that. It has been a rough year to say the least. I've moved four times and there is still at least one more move looming for me by the end of the year. However, things are at least relatively stable for me at the moment and seeing as it is the summer, school is out and I'm free to relax a little bit and try to recover my wits. I finally have some stable internet and access to enough of my stuff I can draw again. This isn't a big declaration that you will be seeing a big increase in my output or anything.

I do have a few things I need to post but more importantly, I need updates on people who have owed art by me. I havent been able to hold onto all of my notes on such matter so if I owe you a piece, please PLEASE get in contact with me and I will try to get on top of that ASAP!

As many of you know, I have a new tablet now thanks to a very generous loan from someone who I now owe dearly for helping in my time of need.

The eviction ended up going through two weeks prematurely so I'm in the middle of moving. I had to move out in just 24 hours which was a challenge. I ended up injuring my back pretty badly in the process. I'll be settled in by the 1st into a new more comfortable living situation.

Right now I'm holed up somewhere temporarily so I might be touch and go for that two week period, sorry everyone, especially those with owed work.

Tried to draw today.

Tablet has decided to go out because WHY THE FUCK NOT.

I cannot afford a new one.

It will be MONTHS before I have enough money to buy one.

You know. There was a time when I looked down on people for making super depressing journals all the time, and now I feel like that's basically all I ever do just looking over at my recent journal history. It's like a clown show of terrible crap and I have to wonder to myself why I even bother to post it. I know I receive encouraging comments, but it feels like I put an emotional burden on people to try and reassure my own well-being, when it really isn't there responsibility. We don't know each other in real life, and I will probably never physically meet any of you.

Still, there is something to be said for the catharsis of venting your frustrations and aches, which I guess is what it really is for me. Just an outlet to help myself clear my head and maybe remind myself that people do care about me to some small degree. I'm rambling, but I just wanted to add this preface to let you know that this is one of those journals and you shouldn't feel obligated to read it. Please don't think I'm holding any of your emotionally hostage.

I'm going through a lot of hard times, physically, mentally and financially. Those of you that see me around streams tend to note I seem pretty hyper and friendly, joking a lot. In actually I've been very very depressed for a while now and I'm trying very hard to keep myself together. It has severely impacted my art ability, making it very hard for me to get art that is owed out to people in any sort of reasonable speed.

Yesterday, I was woken up very early to an angry phone call from my landlord. Without going into a needless amount of detail concerning the why, I was informed my rent was going up a significant amount. This is during the summer, which as a substitute teacher means I have practically no income now and have to budget tightly so it's a huge blow. Now, I'm being told not only is my rent going up, but I'm being evicted at the end of the summer and need to find a new place to live. That's a HUGE financial burden to toss on my shoulders and now I'm not really sure what I'm going to do.

This is all getting to be a bit much for me to handle, and I'm scrambling to figure out what the fuck I'm going to do.

So when you see me online, maybe just give me a break. I'm trying my best to do right by commissioners, and I'm trying really hard not to be a depressing piece of shit in people's chats, but when a streamer decides to rag on me for being lame or too sad, or (and I swear to god this fucking happened yesterday) ranting for ten minutes about mentioning a new watcher because that's not a big deal at all and I shouldn't be excited or anything of the like (since you know, I totally have thousands of watchers pining over my every upload) it really hurts.

Just try to be patient with me, guys. I'm really sorry about how unreliable I'm being.

I have a very large bed frame edged with metal. Today I tripped and hit my knee very hard on the corner of this and busted it open. I also have a knot forming on it. I have to leave for a long car trip in twelve hours so I'm not exactly thrilled about the current situation.

Thanks for all the birthday well wishes. I had a fantastic time seeing Weird Al live. He always puts on an amazing live show.

It just so happens that I was born during a time when school is usually coming to a close. So, it is no surprise to note that the semester ends on my birthday, coming this Tuesday the 19th. Following that, I will once again have a lot of free time on my hands to draw more and just general interact with people on here. I will have my main computer back then (along with my in-progress work that has been stalled for two and a half weeks now because of it) and hopefully my shoulder will have healed up. I can move it more but it's still a pain to bend too far forward. This year, I've got tickets to see Weird Al on my birthday so that will be fun.

My shoulder blade seems to be in intense pain. If I even try to move it slightly it's like being stabbed by somebody there. Even breathing too deep causes it to shift a little and hurt excruciatingly. I have no idea how I'm going to work like this.

I hate May.

People have noticed I am a bit lethargic, generally unhappy and grumpy right now. I really dislike the month of May. It's the busiest time of year for people who work in education, and it's no exception for me. I also have a long and storied history with bad problems involving mother's day as well as the fact that my birth is May 19th and has often been a very dour occasion for me. This year has been rough for me, with lots of financial woes and most of my friends moving away, leaving me feeling very vulnerable and very lonely.

I could get into more, but it's more personal than I feel like I would want to be on here. Suffice to say I'm sorry everyone has to tolerate my poor attitude for the time being while I struggle through everything.

And the work marathon continues zzzzzzzzzzzz...........

I will be shipping out owed work this week and next; as much as I can get finished. That means two commissions, the raffle winner and two collabs.

I know I'm very behind on these things but the schoolyear has been very tight with my time and I haven't been feeling well for quite some time either. I basically had no time to draw the entirety of spring break which is rather upsetting since I feel like I worked through what should have been my time off normally for this time of year.

My jobs are just really grinding down on me and I will probably be pretty scarce for a bit. If I get a bit short with anyone, please bear in mind I'm very stressed out. Work WILL get out to those who are patiently waiting and my personal stuff will just be put on a backburner until I can get back to it. I won't be getting the other adoptables up like I thought because they aren't full completed, apologies to anyone who was waiting to see them.

So I can't figure out what this symbol means when I look at the list of my current watchers. A few of them have an exclamation mark next to their names instead of the usual tilde that you see there. I have not experienced the same phenomena with my list of users that I am watching, but since it is a much smaller list, this does not mean it is not possible for it to happen. I tried a google search and checking both the support files and forum for info, but no dice. So if anyone knows why that happens, I'd be interested in finding out the answer.

I won a second Smash 4 tournament today and have a third Saturday that I hope to be able to win as well. I feel like I'm really on a roll. I was thinking of doing another Smash-themed freebie stream, but I'm a bit too tired for it today, so maybe I'll do it later this weekend.

I just want to thank everyone who has joined as a watcher recently. I've tried to make sure to thank everyone personally, but it means a lot to me to see so much page growth so quickly. I'm glad people have really enjoyed my new lineless stuff. While I don't plan to exclusively work in that medium moving forward, I do want to keep producing it as well as my more traditional stuff like the Leela boxing picture.

I haven't added lineless work to the commission option list yet, but I probably will soon once I feel comfortable enough in it.

In other news, I'm thinking of doing a 500 watcher raffle (I'm only 22 watchers away!) but can't decide on what I would produce if I do. I'll try to make up my mind and put up an ad for it real soon.

If this migraine doesn't let up soon, I think my head is going to explode like in Scanners (that's pretty much the only interesting thing in that entire movie by the way, it's actually really long and boring)

Probably tomorrow or Friday I'll be uploading a new batch of adoptables using a new base that is exclusive to me (since I just made it). I can give a little bit of a hint as to what you'll be seeing in this batch: A skunk, a fennec, a floxen (flower fox) and maybe more. I'm also considering adding a little extra fun to the batch with a lottery for a free bonus to go along with your purchase.

I might be opening to custom adopts using this base as well moving forward. So, if you enjoy my character designs and want something like them for yourself then keep an eye on things here in the near future!

To see my new avatar. First time I've ever animated something but I thought I'd join the cool kids club (there's a club for this right?)

I've been trying very hard to switch over to Picarto but am finding it to be absolutely impossible.

Every streaming software I have tried refuses to allow me to stream photoshop (which is the only program I can confidently draw in as I've tried others and it just hasn't worked out because I don't have the time to learn a new program's features from the ground up). OBS and Xsplit both stream photoshop but DONT stream my drawing, just leaving a blank window and my toolbars there. I can't find anything on how to fix this problem that doesn't massively impact my stream quality. On top of that, xsplit is refusesing to allow me to stream in anything other than 360p which is so blurry I might as well not bother. I could stream my whole monitor but I definitely do NOT want this as I have to switch out of windows often and sometimes to my private accounts and information while streaming which would mean I would have to turn stream on and off all the bloody time so as not to share it with the whole world.

About to finish up one of my two commissions (this one has been much more difficult, but I'm glad this christmas break is going to allow me to get it finished soon). Also just took second in a big gaming tournament so I feel great right now and am pumped to get back to art.

I just placed second in a Smash 4 tournament which is my second high placing in a row. I feel pretty good. I almost won but I died off the side while he died off the top oh well.

On top of this I'm super satisfied with the last commission I uploaded and am happy to keep pushing that new style of shading on this next one too. It's a bit more complicated but the sketches are coming along okay. Haven't really settled on what I'd like to pitch to the commissioner yet.

Anyway. I feel awesome. I am awesome.
