Severe depression + other issues.
Posted 9 years agoSomewhat related to my previous journal, I'd like to make an official statement about my personal life, as this is the major contributor in the reason why I'll be leaving the furry community indefinitely. ( Perhaps some day I will return, but I don't foresee this happening until I can get stable in my personal life. )
I have been struggling with severe depression and anxiety problems for the last few years. And it has affected my art. I've become very inconsistent, in frequency and in style. I haven't felt comfortable in my art style for so long now, and every time I draw, it never looks the same. I can't seem to find a foothold in where I want to be art-wise, and I believe that it has something to do with my personal life.
I am constantly struggling to get by financially, as well as physically and mentally. Most days I wonder why I even bother, and often question what the point of such a meaningless existence is.
For the last few months, we've been barely scraping by for rent, bills and food. And now it's come to a point where I have to pay a large sum a money, and I have no idea how I'll be able to pay it, while still being able to afford to eat.
I have a lot of issues I need taken care of via doctor or therapy, but I can't afford insurance, and I can't seem to get any sort of aid from the government.
On top of this, there is almost constantly drama in this household. We have a disruptive and incredibly rude roommate, and he's still living here. And, we have a new roommate that is living here that is supposed to be taking his place whenever he moves out.
I've also been hoping from job to job, but none of them pay more than minimum wage.
I know that taking commissions while I'm in such a volatile state is irresponsible, but when you're truly desperate just to feed yourself and your animals, you'd do just about anything.
I'm aware that it was a mistake, and the only thing I can do is just move on and try to make good on my promises.
All I want in life is to be stable, and to be able to work on art. I don't want to let people down, I don't want to make them wait. And if you think that I've done this all on purpose, then you're mistaken.
For the time being, I want to focus on my health and trying to get stable in my life. So please understand that I am not leaving to purposefully hurt or harm anyone.[UPDATE] Leaving FA indefinitely - Commissioners please read

Posted 9 years agoI'm sorry for how long it's taking me to get to things. My cubital tunnel is worse now than it's ever been and I'm trying to do anything I can think of to relieve the pain long enough to work on art stuff.
It's slow progress, but I'm doing what I can to get things done.
( I also recently lost the arm brace that I'm supposed to be using while drawing, so that doesn't help either... )[UPDATE] Contact Info

[UPDATE] Commissions + cubital tunnel
Posted 9 years agoJust letting you guys know that I'm chipping away slowly at commissions right now. My cubital tunnel is acting up, most likely because I took such a long hiatus from actively drawing, so it'll take a while for me to get back to a quick pace. Since I'm currently jobless, I'm working on art as much as I can without putting too much strain on my nerves.
If you have any questions at all about your commission, please don't hesitate to ask me. Sometimes reminders really do help! My inbox is pretty clogged and I'm just trying to make sure I have everything I need to get work done!New account~! :)

Posted 10 years agoI've been out of work the last few days due to medical issues. I've been struggling with insomnia for a long time, but this last week it's been at it's worse, with me going almost 7 full days without sleep. I've finally been able to go to the doctor and get looked at, so I'm hopeful to be back on track next week.

Now that I finally have internet back, I am going to get back on completing commissions -this week-
Please note that I work 40 hours a week, so my time is very limited. I'm going to aim to complete at least one a week. If I can do more, I certainly will.
As for refunds, working 40 hours a week means that I finally have a stable income, which means I can refund those who need it. I'll try to do as many as I can afford when my paychecks come in.
I'm not at home right now, but soon I'll be posting up my queue list so everyone knows where they're at with their commission or refund.

Posted 10 years agoMy roommate just physically assaulted me while I was trying to get the rest of my belongings from her room. I called the cops, and they did nothing about it because I have no bruises.
The police will not do anything to help me get my cat, and says that I need to go to small claims court with evidence that I am the owner..
I'm scared, and I'm trying my best to cope with this situation...

Posted 10 years agoI really hate to start a fundraiser, but I desperately need help.
I'm currently trapped in an abusive household, and despite my best efforts, I still need some more funds before I am capable of leaving.
My current roommate has already committed many illegal acts, such as throwing my property out in the yard, locking me out of the house, stealing my keys, as well as keeping/hiding my cat.
Even though I have gotten the authorities involved on many occasions, the sooner I can leave, the safer I will be. (as well as my cat!)
My good friend 
has offered to come and get me, and give me a safe place to stay. Unfortunately, it's going to cost quite a bit of money. I will need to raise at least 400$ to pay for the gas they will need to come and get me.
Since I am still getting paychecks from work, all that I need to raise through a fundraiser would be 100$
This would ensure that I would be able to leave safely, and as soon as physically possible. If not, it may be weeks before I can leave, and my cat may already be long gone by then..
I'm at wit's end, and doing whatever I can to cope with this situation. But any little bit counts, not only I, but my cat and my friends will all greatly appreciate any help you can give.
