Going to try my hand at Plushies (MLP FiM)
Posted 14 years agoSo I'm going to try and make a G4 pony plush pattern, as I am dissatisfied with the plushes Hasbro sells for FiM. If it's successful, I'm going to make custom ones as well as ones from the plot for people and charge them a small amount just to cover things like supplies/shipping and a little for my hard work.
I hope I'm skilled at plush-making. I really want some stuffed animals of them.
Comment if any one thinks they'd commission me/ know someone who would want to. It'll motivate me!!!

Posted 14 years agoYesterday I finally received my refurbished Wacom Bamboo FUN tablet. They say to expect a slightly worn nib and a few scratches or marks as it is refurbished, but mine had NONE! I am so happy about that.
I've easily adapted to the whole "look straight at the screen" thing. I did a whole herpaderp looking icon set, which I may post, but they're pretty crappy quality. I cant get the line thin enough to make a nice icon.
Today though, I started a pool themed drawing, as the fact my summer is almost over is starting to get to me. IT'S SO GREAT SO FAR and thats not me trying to be self-inflated. I just mean drawing with it feels fantastic, the brushes and blenders are great, there's a mixer (which is what I've always wanted my other drawing programs to have), and I just love it. I've been drawing with the Corel Painter Essentials 4 that came with the tablet.
Oh, and I've named him Quentin.
Yes, I name my favorite inanimate objects.

I want a Tablet soooo very badly <\3
Posted 14 years agoI seriously want to be a digital artist, the color options are limitless and I dont have to keep a ton of them in a tool box (like my pencils are currently), and it always looks so clean and bright!
I can afford a small one by the end of the week, but I may wait a little while longer so I can get a bigger one. I really prefer larger surfaces.
I'm so happy that I'll be able to get one (relatively) soon!!!
Wacoms are high-quality, right?

I have pink Flarp on my feet c:
Posted 14 years agoYeah, my feet itched serverely for no reason after I took my shoes off (I was on the treadmill, I'm effing proud of myself, as I'm usually a lazy a** bum). Flarp is this weird putty stuff that comes in a plastic cylinder thingy, and when you mess with it, it makes fart noises. It's hilarious, btw, I got it when I was like 8 though. So my feet are itching like a mofo, and I'm messing with this flarp when I'm suddenly like "Hey! This stuff is soft feeling AND cool to the touch, why dont I rip it in half and lay it on my feet!
AND IT WORKED. So ha.
You win a cyber cookie if you read all that btw. And a cyber pie (it's apple. If you don't like apple pie, I don't like you.).

Posted 14 years agoSo, I'm joining the newspaper staff for my school next year, and to raise money to actually print the things we are making t-shirts. Just a pretty simple shirt. School name on the front, "Bearly News" (the paper's name, cause we're the Bears) on the back with a design above that.
The awesome part? I get to draw the design for the shirts. The shirts my entire school will be buying and wearing.
It's going to be a big bear hunched over a typewriter. It's makes me happy because 1) It's anthro, since bears obviously don't use typewriters 2) I am flattered I was even asked to do it, and that I was the first choice. and 3) They're going to be pretty cheap, which ensures a TON of kids will probably end up buying one, which means my art is liked AND the newspaper gets money.
It's a win-win-win-win-win :D
