Posted a year agoUpdated my Trello for the first time in a hot minute yesterday and while there's still a good bit to go, it is a relief to see the number of owed pieces shrinking. Last year that number peaked at 18 as a result of Patreon requests and hoo boy, I definitely will have to rethink how I handle those if I ever decide to start taking them again.
In any case I'm incredibly grateful for the immense patience of folks who've been waiting for art and for those who have continued to support me through Patreon, Ko-fi, and Subscribestar without whom I genuinely would not have been able to make it through the last year and a half. You guys keep me going. <3
P.S. We did manage to get the A/C fixed! Turned out it was just a blown fuse, which did wind up costing a couple hundred dollars, and did wind up blowing again due to the unit drawing excessive power, but thankfully they didn't charge us for the second replacement and even more thankfully it hasn't blown since. Fingers crossed it stays working and doesn't cause us any more problems for the foreseeable future.

Posted a year agoFor as much as I've complained about what a poor job our air conditioner does of cooling this place down over the years, I feel I'm going to have a hard time taking it for granted going forward because idling away 105 degree desert heat with no cooling whatsoever is, uh, not fun.

As I've mentioned previously, I recently launched a Patreon to help support myself while I try to focus more on my art as my primary source of income, and I've got some plans, including a monthly discounted sketch tier once I free up some queue space, but I wanted to get some feedback on it while I get things tuned in.
Primarily, what is it that would make a Patreon account from me more appealing to YOU?
What sorts of things should I consider offering through it? Early access to commission slots? WIP uploads?
What sort of tier prices seem appealing?
Let me hear your ideas!

Had a couple things I wanted to say with this journal since it's been two years now since my last one and a whole year since my last post.
Firstly, I'm doing alright! Surviving, if not exactly thriving, but at least things have been less chaotic since my last journal... well, y'know, *broadly gestures* aside. How have you all been doing? Taking care of yourselves I hope.
Secondly is something I've been thinking on for a very long time now and that is: I'm announcing, my retirement from this account for the foreseeable future.
I suppose this has been a long time coming. I'd been struggling with burnout since at least 2016 and more recently it's just been harder and harder to push through it. Diaper art just doesn't do it for me as an artist the way it did when I started this account, uh, *checks* nine years ago now, geeze.
I'm so thankful for all of you who have followed me and commented on and favourited or even just lurked on my art over the years. I still read every comment I get and am constantly shocked at all the new followers I've gained every time I log in. It blows me away that people still to this day come to me and tell me how much they love the art I created here.
I love you all and none of this would have been possible without your support over the years.
If you'd still like to keep up with my art, I occasionally remember to post to steampossum however, I'm far more active on Twitter these days if you'd like to keep up with me personally and, occasionally, see some pieces that never make it to FA. General Update

It's been a long while since I posted anything here and I just wanted to give a general update on things.
This year's been terribly hectic as my mother went in for major surgery on her back in February and I've basically just spent the last ten months playing catch up with finances and all kinds of other fun stuff so haven't had much time to work on personal art or officially open for commissions, and when I have, it's generally been via twitter, which is why I've been kinda absent here for the most part besides the occasional posting spree.
With things finally calming down coming into the new year I hope to start being able to work on personal art a bit more freely and frequently so hopefully I'll have more stuff in the coming months!

General update!

I've been pretty quiet here lately, as you've probably all noticed. Been a bit more active on twitter (@stinkslinky), though have stepped a bit away from that recently as well to focus more on myself and my art as I've intended to do for quite some time. Expanding into new mediums outside of digital and refocusing my efforts into polishing up on fundamentals I'd been letting slip, as well as just generally maximizing the mileage I get out of drawing so I can come back stronger than ever.
Now this isn't to say I'm done here, by any means. I've still got some more recent commissions I've had sitting in folders which I'll get around to posting... sooner or later, and I'll still take small batches of sketches from time to time (generally through twitter) until I feel I've reached a point where I'm comfortable taking larger batches of more complex pieces again. Who knows, I might even start streaming again since I've been kinda missing that.
At any rate, I just wanted to let you all know where I've been and what I've been up to and if you wanna keep up with me, twitter's usually the best place for it!
Thank you all for enjoying my work and sticking by through the downtime!

As I mentioned in my previous journal I had been considering raising my prices and general consensus was in favour and so after today, sketches now start at $30 per character, and polished images start at $40.
HOWEVER as a sign of my appreciation for the support you guys have given me, I'll be offering the first five slots at the old price, of $20/character for sketches and $30/character for polish!
Please note that payments are via Paypal or Google Wallet and I will not be accepting images with backgrounds beyond simple setting props (Flower pot, bed, couch, etc) at this time.

Commission Prices, Thoughts/Feedback?
Posted 9 years agoI'm currently considering tweaking my commission prices in the near future to fall closer in line with basic working wages, since I do pretty much do this for a living at this point
The increase wouldn't be massive - probably ~$10 or so, making sketches 30-35 USD and polish 40-45 USD - but I feel this would do a lot to help my financial situation and allow for greater freedom and security
Since this ultimately comes down on you guys, I wanted to get your feedback. Lemme know what you all think!
