Art should be fun....
General | Posted 12 years agoYou should love what you do because you enjoy it. Life is tough, and we do what we can to survive, and sometimes we turn our hobbies into our work. For some of us, it works. But in time, we forget or loose that flare, that spark that made you love it in the first place, because you have bills to pay. Some artists forget to work for themselves sometimes, they spend to much time working for others, making their ideas happen so they can eat, but never find the time to make their own ideas happen.
And then there are those who get too worried about appealing to everyone that they do things they dont enjoy, just so they can make "More" Dont try to be like everybody else, because if we were all the same, then it would be dull.
Its Art, its Supposed to be fun, and Inspirational. You have to be inspired to draw. If you only do it to make money, then eventually, you will burn out, and stop doing it.

I still think its awesome, and eventually I wanna buy and play all the old games again.
So when I saw the Trailer, I was skeptic that Hollywood would make some shitastic Stuart Little Live action.
NOT, its animated, and Burry looks a little odd, but so far, I think it looks really good
Anybody else remotely excited, or are you just super sure its gonna suck and get botched

I personally love to RP, but I find it difficult to RP my own characters because I have a Strict way I depict them and prefer to play them in their set universes. It feels weird and out of character to play them outside of their elements, even though in fact, these RPs are non-Canon. So as of January 13th 2014. Do NOT ask me to RP. This even includes DnD or any type of TableTop Gaming. My answer is NO. I will not RP my characters with anybody but friends.
I have a couple of my characters loaded onto F-List, just to verify them and to prevent Character Theft. Either way if you see them being RPed then somebody else is using my characters. I don't even RP my own characters on F-List anymore; that proves the point that its not me on that, or any other site.

BUT I have an Official rule that I REQUIRE a note about it ahead of time so that we may discuss the idea, and make sure your idea isn't offensive or containing content I do not consent to. There is also a (-User Agreement-) here you should read first.
Depending on the character and idea, I may ask you and the artist to send me a WIP to be sure things are in order. You have the right to ask me the same if I get art for you.

RANDOM: My Main Gripes about Pacific Rim (Mini-Spoilers?)
General | Posted 12 years agoSo, during this time, Japan should have built these Mechs a long time ago.
If not to re-enforce their military, then at least for shits n Giggles to bring their Anime's to life.
In my opinion they should have figured a system that didn't require the DRIFT system, and would have been more Safe.
Then looking at their Mechs, some of these guys had Long-Range and Short Ranged Weapons that could have killed these Kaiju in a heartbeat, yet they spend more time Scrapping with these things and punching them in the face.
The cost to re-arm these things I could understand would be costly, but thats a Bargain in comparison to having to having to remake and program a Mech to replace it.
Chenero Alpha - Had heavy Armor. Yes its a Mark1, Im amazed it survived this long with all the battles that took place before the movie. But...with the danger escalating, I KNOW they could have accommodated and Fitted the thing with some weapons. Nope, just punch things. Thats good.
Gypsy Danger - Our Hero Mech Protagonist Mark3 thingy, this thing had a Plasma Cannon! If they gave it a much larger Ammo Clip this thing could have destroyed Much More Kaiju and wouldn't need much else until it was forced in Close Quarters. But Unlike the Alpha, this thing was fitted with Jet Rockets that could help it dodge, one on the chest that could be utilized with a Deadly Death Hug. AND it had a coolent system that could be used for safety and was even used to destroy an deadly tail on a Kaiju.
Then during its reconstruction after a battle it barly won, they fitted it with 2 Swords.....that REALLY helped
Yes, Plot Plot plot, but why did the Alpha NEVER get a single upgrade!?
Red Cloud - This is a Smaller Mark 4, when they made the Mech more Digital instead of running on Nucular Energy. This thing could dodge, it was fast and flexible, and had 3 rotating blades it used for its Famed "Thunder Cloud Formation" It didn't make sense why or how it utilized 3 pilots, but dam this thing looked cool. Its sad it met its demise, but they could easily re-fit it, cause the only thing hat got destroyed was the cockpit.
Now, this thing could have used some ranged weapons itself, and it would have been even more Deadly.
Striker Eureka - No comment, this thing was a Perfect Mark5. The newest Generation of these Jeagers. It was fitted with these powerful Rocket cannons that were activated with a cool classic Pose you'd see in a power rangers or Mecha anime. And it had 2 neat swords of its own like the Gypsy Danger. This thing got some Great hits in the final battle, and apparently had the highest kill count of all the Jeagers. DO, THIS, WITH YOUR OTHER JEAGERS.
I know, 90% of them were dead. But my point stands.
The Striker and the Gypsy were the best made, if they pursued to make more Jeagers, making them just like these 2 they would have had a DEADLY force to be reckon with. And they wuld have had less Jeager Deaths. Of course unless the Rift sent more powerful Category 4s and 5s. At that point when the 5s fail, they probly send 6s and 7s...then we'd be fucked unless we started making God-Mechs, Big-0s and Transformers. lol
Im hearing they do intent to try and make a Pacific Rim 2.
My hopes, Im hoping Hollywood wont ignore the novel and bring in 2 Jeagers they forgot existed (They were apparently defending Sydney with the Striker, but they were not mentioned ONCE, and the author claims they wern't destroyed. So, they were litterally forgotten, and Could have helped in the big battle on the Pacific Rim (XD) Then they could easily refit the Red Cloud if they remembered to scavenge it. Seriously, it just needs a new head and a New OS and its fine lol

I single handedly made an entire Gold Level Clan just Rage quit in a game of "Domination" on Ghosts.
I died alot, but I managed to defend and capture alot more. Im no camper, and I Spit on Sniper Rifles. I notice we are doing pretty good. And BAM ""Team Forgetting"" and I notice two people leave the game. So, these assholes were ragging HA.
How do I know it was me? *Checks the K/D* Highest on my team. And no body left or previously join on my team.
Couldn't be a connection issue, cause the game before I played with them was perfect.
Maybe they had other things to do?...Nah, these are Gold Level Clan Members, Ive never seen a Clan in ANY video game give up a fight unless they were loosing horrifically and had their Pride Stomped on

Starting bid is (X amount)
And instead of Bidding the start amount
People just say SB
Sure, its a quick response meaning "Starting Bid"
But its not really a Bid. Theres no Numbers in it Just text.
This ends up confusing me thinking there is no bid since I dont see anyone posting the starting number.
Then BAM I apparently get in trouble and my bid doesn't count.
But...there was no bid, just someone saying SB.
Why does HIS bid count and not mine, when I clearly posted a number?
Eh, just wanted to vent it. Its silly I know, but it gets me when I do wanna take part in an Auction. Even if I don't plan to go high at all.

Why does HIS bid count and not mine, when I clearly posted a number?
Eh, just wanted to vent it. Its silly I know, but it gets me when I do wanna take part in an Auction. Even if I don't plan to go high at all.

New Years Resolutions?

Ppfffft yeah right. But, I do want to Save more money. Sometimes, I have a little habit of spending more then I realize or I want to, and want to be better about that. Stick to my plans I think is my Ultimate Resolution
Ive learned how to budject and live under my means since I was a kid; when my allowance was less then $10 and I got it Bi-Monthly. So if I wanted that Video game, I had to save, if I wanted that pizza, Id have to make a decicion and weigh my options and possible outcomes ill either regreat or be happy for.
Shoot for the cheapest but best quality option possible.
This Mindset has in fact saved me this year. With work being slow, Ive come dangerously close to being broke and homeless. But because of what Ive learned, I have saved money, just enough to get me through Rent Increases (Which thankfully went back down) and a Health Scare I need to be ontop of.
I wish I could afford to live in a Nicer place, and have all of the best and coolest things, and afford to commission these super duper awesome Artists that charge $100+ for their best work. But in fact, I don't need it. And I won't buy it if I don't think Ill make the money to make up for it later.
And If Im lucky, maybe next month, Ill make enough to afford that $100 commission, or even save enough to get that PS4.
But start small, or as small as possible.
Never be in a hurry to get something you want, get what you need first, and plan for disasters.

Random Thoughts: Older Characters
General | Posted 12 years agoIts not rare to see Younger; Cub, Teenage, Young Adult and boarderline Middleaged Characters in the fandom, but I notice there is a sever lack of Actual Middleaged to Older, even elder Characters (Native/Tribal Elders don't count silles) in the fandom. I think we could add a little more diversity in the fandom and Anthro and Furry art community by making older characters to.
Any idea why the community, even older people seem to only really target and design Young Characters instead of older characters?

General | Posted 12 years agoI got it when I finally saw Smaug in the new Hobbit Movie...
Just....wow <3
The CGI for him was AMAZING, he looked both Beautiful, AND Menacing. A little scary even. But his voice...and his Powerful presence....I can shamefully say was aroused XD
And honestly, I think he was portrayed as the Perfect Dragon.
Just...everything about him seemed perfect and spot on with how Ive seen Dragons in my mind.
Welp...gotta wait another 365 days untill the next movie, I can't wait!!!

The smaller character will be -Alterise-
And Im looking for a possible Horse to Play with
Now note, I said "Possible", because I dont know if I get to choose the horse character.
Why am I making this then if I dont even know? Because in the event I do win, and if Im able to pick the horse, Id like to pay and have refs IMMEDIATELY.
