General | Posted 2 years agoI'm not sure what to say....
I have been considering deleting this account, as well as my other accounts.
I no longer know why I am here. I certainly don't fit in here, and people no longer seem to enjoy my drawings... of the few people who did, most either hate me now, or have just moved on....
Perhaps, it is time I do the same. I may change my mind... I haven't convinced myself completely yet... but I thought it only right to let you all know....
Either way, I wish you all the best....

A howl on the mountain.
General | Posted 2 years agoThe road up the mountain has opened. It becomes impassable in the winter as the snow is not cleared and the gates are closed. As the snow slowly melts in the spring the gates are opened, one by one. The final gate opened sometime in the last few days, perhaps today, perhaps not. However, it was today, my day off, that I decided to see how far I could drive up the mountain. I was excited to find the final gate open.
After hiking around for a short time I drove back down, determined to go for a trail run along the mountain ridge trail. I went home changed my clothes, grabbed my gear and headed back to the mountain.
I love trail running. There is a freedom in it that is hard to express, and of course the beauty of nature. The mountain is beautiful. The trail was still partially covered in snow, deep snow. It was well packed old snow but it didn't make running easy. It was a joy, nonetheless. As I ran I passed a few others enjoying the newly accessible trail. I passed a man and woman with a baby and small dog, and they asked if I had seen a small dog that looked like a husky. I told them I hadn't but I would keep watch for them. They thanked me and told me the dogs name "Tsukara".
I continued on. Clouds gently drifted by on the breeze, some sitting below me as I peered down from the alpine ridge to the shoreline far below. My mind wandered to the lost dog. Where could it have gone? As I ran along a cliff I glanced down to the bottom wondering... but continued on.
The snow was quickly wearing me out, not to mention just being out of shape. I continued, unsure how much longer I would go, until... I heard something. Was that a howl? Quiet and distant but... could it have been? My mind raced, I couldn't stop now. I ran on. Then I heard it again. I paused, hoping to hear better. I was sure. It was quiet but it was there. I couldn't tell quite from where, but I could hear it, a quiet whining howl. I caught my breath and continued to run. I tromped though the snow following the path up the mountain side and then....
I stopped. A small husky like dog stood in the path in front of me. The pup looked nervous but well. I knelt down in the snow and called it's name and it slowly came over to me, head lowered and tail tucked. I petted it a few times and checked the collar "Tsukara". This was indeed the couples missing dog. I patted the dog a few more times and it's tail began to wag. I stood and smiled at the pup. "Well come on pup, let's go find your masters." I patted the pup again turned and started to run back down the trail, and the pup followed, tail wagging.
The pup followed closely as I ran. We were both panting. The pup had to work to keep up with me running down hill, but once we came to a few patches of deep snow and uphills the pup had to slow down and wait for me, but we ran on. We passed another family, and I asked if they had seen the couple. They told me they thought they had, so I thanked them and we continued on.
We tramped together down the trail along the mountain ridge. The pup paused and sniffed about, and I climbed up on a rock to look around and listen... nothing. The pup came over to the rock looking up at me. I hopped off and patted the pup again. "No luck huh? Well, let's keep going." We started of down the trail again.
Soon we were back at the trail head. We both looked about a bit confused. No one was there. The pup looked about and I pondered how we could have missed them. I called the pup back over and checked the collar again, and found their phone number. A short time later the man came and they were reunited. The pup was happy, but seemed a bit reluctant to leave and wandered back over to me before they left.
It seems I made a friend.

The Death of Twitch
General | Posted 2 years agoMy kitty has passed on to the calm of quiet shades. Her name was Twitch. She was born years before the streaming platform that took her name, and at 22 years old she passed quietly back into the forest. I'll never forget you, my little kitten.
Not great.
General | Posted 3 years agoI had a rough week, and now... I've been robbed....
That's all, thanks for listening. Don't mind me....

It's been a while.
General | Posted 3 years agoIt's been a couple years, time for another pointless update, I suppose....
Quite a lot has happened in my life in the last couple years, and even in the last few months. I won't bore you with that, though.
I've been drawing more lately, and have streamed quite a few hours over the last month. I've even been posting some drawings.
However, I'm slowly running out of motivation. Since I have returned to being a hermit, and have no one to talk to, I would like to get your opinion. What you would like to see from me?
Thanks for your time. I hope you are well.

Milestones
General | Posted 5 years agoWe pass many milestones on our journeys. Sometimes they are unnoticed or forgotten, but we pass them all the same....
Trying and Failing
General | Posted 7 years agoMy apologies for posting another pointless journal. Please, feel free to ignore it....
I've been trying to escape the melancholy that's had a hold on my mind, for a while now. Streaming has been helping a bit, but some things happened today that brought it back in full. I probably won't be around much for a while.
Maybe I shouldn't have said anything, I doubt almost anyone would have noticed....

Thank you, to the couple people who bothered to talk to me about it.

Rather Depressing
General | Posted 7 years agoI streamed for about nine hours today....
Thank you to the one person that showed up and watched for a while. It was much appreciated. However, I was definitely a bit disappointed no one else stopped by.... I probably won't be streaming again for a while... we'll see....

And now for something completely different.
General | Posted 7 years agoGood news for a change. I was finally offered a new job! It's been around a year and half since I quite my old job to pursue a new career. After a year of trying to make a living doing freelance work, and I am very excited, and relieved.
I want to apologize to those who have been waiting on stuff from me. I don't like to bother people with my problems, but I've been rather stressed and... quite depressed.
After the initial training I should still have quite a bit of free time to draw, and I'll be getting my own place again... FINALLY!
Thanks for everyones patience!

The Times They Are A-Changin'
General | Posted 8 years agoIf your time to you is worth savin'
Then you better start swimmin'
Or you'll sink like a stone
For the times they are a-changin'.
-Bob Dylan
I've decided to start a new career as a pilot. I quit my job and moved halfway across the country. I was very frustrated with my old job and decided it was time for a change.
I am very busy right now, but should have more time for drawing. I also hope to start taking commissions more regularly. I will be posting more information about commissions once I get it worked out.

Rough Times
General | Posted 9 years agoGreetings,
The last few months have been rough. I haven't drawn much. I'll be sharing what I have gotten drawn in the next couple days.
Thank you for your continued interest in my drawings. It means a lot to me.

Should I try streaming?
General | Posted 9 years agoGreetings,
The idea has piqued my curiosity. I am rather reclusive, it might be fun to get a chance to talk with some of you. Would anyone be interested in watching me draw? I might give it a try if anyone is interested. Just a thought.

Has it been so long?
General | Posted 11 years agoGreetings,
It seems I have been gone quite a long while. I apologize to those who are actually interested in my drawings. I have returned, and hope to be more active here for a while. Thanks for your patience.

The Night of the Rabbit
General | Posted 12 years agoTime for a brief update. It seems is has been a year since I last updated this journal. I am currently on vacation and have been drawing. Hopefully, I will be posting some more soon.
On a completely different note, I recently finished playing the game "The Night of the Rabbit" by Daedalic Entertainment. I highly recommend it. The artwork and music are beautiful and haunting. The characters are fun and endearing. The puzzles are challenging, but fairly logical (I never had to use the built in hint system, but I was definitely stumped a few times). The main story was very interesting and rather surprising (at least to me), and the side quests, games and extras kept me entertained while I tried to figure out what to do next.
The game did have a few bugs (voices not matching the subtitles, and at least once voiced in the original German by accident), but nothing that didn't just make me chuckle and continue on. Overall, I haven't enjoyed a game so much in years. If you ever enjoyed adventure games (I have loved them ever since Kings Quest V, one of the first computer games I ever played) you should check it out (along with pretty much everything from Daedalic).
I am going to go play it again so I can listen the the music (and too hang out with my good friends Plato and Anja again). =3

Delays and Such
General | Posted 13 years agoI apologize for the lack of posts lately, but the last couple months have been strange. I had intended to post some drawings earlier, but was unexpectedly sent out to sea for a few weeks, and just got back. The snow has finally begun to seriously melt away, but now it is time for me to leave the island for a little while. I need a vacation. I should be posting some things soon, but at the moment I have some packing to do.

Still Alive... Probably....
General | Posted 14 years agoI apologize for the lack of... well, anything. I have been doing very little drawing lately. I have been utterly unmotivated.
However, in hopes of regaining a modicum of motivation, I am going to try to post a new drawing each day for the next week... errr... next few days... maybe....
They will probably just be quick sketches, but hopefully someone will find them interesting.
Anyway, I had better get to work if I am going to post something tonight.

Transformation Sequence Suggestions?
General | Posted 14 years agoGreetings,
I feel like doing a quick transformation sequence. I seem to have transformations stuck in my mind at the moment. I thought you all might like to get involved. What would you like to see? I would love to hear some suggestions.
If anyone is interested, I am looking for:
Who is our victim? (Sex, clothes, appearance, etc...)
Situation / Trigger / Method of transformation. (Try not to be too vague.)
Types of changes. (Species, gender, physiological, speed, etc...)
How does it ending? (What becomes of the victim?)
Also, I will probably make a few changes, and mix and match a bit if I get more than one response.

Tired
General | Posted 15 years agoGreetings,
It has been a while so I thought I would let everyone know what has been going on in life. Not that anyone was wondering. Anyway, this summer I visited my family, turned 30, bought an old Jeep and started fixing it up, nearly finished my pilot training, but a close family member passed away and spent the next couple weeks helping to put their affairs in order. I did manage to pass my pilot written test, and am painfully close to finishing flight training, but that will have to wait until next year.
I managed to get my Jeep put back together, took two fail test drives, made a few last minute repairs and adjustments, and left the next day on a 10 day, over 4000 mile, solo road trip back home. After driving dawn to dusk and camping each night, I arrived in time to catch the once a month 4 day boat ride home.
Finally home I almost stayed for a week before flying out on a month long business trip. I did a couple of trail runs and even got fairly lost on one when the trail slowly faded into a forest marsh and I kept going for another hour as snow began to fall. I made it home and stayed nearly a week before I was asked if i could deploy on a fishing boat. An hour later I was packed and headed out on the Bering Sea. The trip took twice as long as expected and once in town and glad to done, I was asked if I could go back out for another quick trip. After the even longer second trip, and a month at sea I am looking forward to sleeping in my own bed for a while.
I apologize for the lack of updates lately. There will be more soon if anyone cares.
Regards,
Stormpaw

Going Primal, Barefoot Running and Eagle Attacks
General | Posted 15 years agoThis is just a quick update if anyone is interested.
I recently changed my lifestyle to fit the Primal Blueprint, and have been amazed with the results. I feel great.
On a somewhat related topic, I also took up barefoot running. Okay, technically I took up minimalist footwear running, using Vibram FiveFingers. It is quite fun.
While running on a nearby hill the other day, I was surprised when a bald eagle glided a few feet over my head. I was even more surprised when he came around for a second pass. After a few more I was glad he found something else to do.
On a different note, I also took up the guitar, learned to juggle and spent some time developing the story I have been working on.
Anyway... I am now getting ready to go on vacation. I can hardly wait to see trees again.

Snow
General | Posted 16 years agoI have finally returned from traveling. It is good to be home. It has been a long month. I did manage to do some snowboarding, skiing, and snowshoeing while I was gone though.
I should be getting more drawings done sometime soon.

Salmon Berries
General | Posted 16 years agoI found a new job over the summer. I will still be living in Alaska, but should have regular access to the internet. It is unfortunate that I had to leave earlier than expected and will not be able to continue my flying lessons until next year.
If anyone is interested I would be willing to work on something you come up with. Just send me a note so I can talk to you about your idea. I look forward to hearing from you.
Oh... the salmon berries are ripe here....
