Something with the hard drive. Gotta save up, maybe get one for Christmas or something. Sigh...

More good news!
Posted 12 years agoWe made rent by the skin of our noses, and our couch will be fixed this weekend! Thanks to my mate's dad who has put a lot of effort into gluing pieces back together, he'll be bringing over the remaining pieces and, while I'm at work, put it all together. So I should have a couch to come home to when I'm off work!
My mate is finally back at work, but they're still kind of being douches. But, that's to be expected, right? Right! A lot of work places are like that. So, she's up to 5 hours a day for about... Six or seven days, I think? Something like that. I'm so happy that she's finally back to doing something productive!
Hope everybody had a good Halloween night, I spent that night waiting for a call from my boss, and doing some cleaning here and there. Luckily, that's the upside to living in an apartment complex; there aren't any trick-or-treaters roaming around knocking on each door.
Just spent the last hour dusting, and due to my allergies, my mate caught me dusting and told me not to do anymore. All I said was, "I took an allergy med!" Then when she came at me with a comb, in a joking fashion, I reeled back and went, "I won't do anymore! I promise!" <33
So, our place is looking clean again, yay! :3 I need to work on a drawing in particular, to get it said and done so the ever so patient individual waiting for it, won't have to wait anymore. I'll understand though if this person doesn't want to do anything trade-wise afterwards, due to the fact that I have in fact been dragging my paws with it. :< Thank you again for your patience! You know who you are!
Anyways, squirrel needs to get on that, and clean up a little more. Got work tonight, sadly... Good news!
Posted 12 years agoMy mate is back at work! The aura has changed so much around the apartment since then. Not nearly so much stress, and from what I can tell (since I'm always out like a light) more restful nights due to the lack of stress. So, yay!
Just the other night, however, neither of us got any sleep due to our water heater acting the fritz. So, we ended up, after a whole run-around with other numbers; the police department (to see what would be considered an emergency, because the maintenance wouldn't go anywhere until morning) and the fire department, ended up sucking it up and dialing 911. Well, turns out they re-directed us to the fire department, and they arrived to tell us that there was water around our water heater.
(It all started with myself smelling something burning throughout the apartment)
My mate and I looked at each other and said, "Really? We didn't know that." And said that the maintenance wouldn't do anything about it until morning, and one of the fighters said, "Well, they'll have to in the morning anyway, because your gate isn't working, and that can and will result in a fine if it's not fixed, so, you tell them that if they give you lip." Which, we didn't have to, because the maintenance never called us back that night after we called a second time.
So, yea, all in all, that was fairly eventful. We have a new water heater and my mate has her job back. All, for now, is right as rain! Would be nice for it to rain, tho lol. Well, not really since when it rains it pours here, so... Eh. Anywhoozlebutt!

Posted 12 years agoWoke up like any other day, excited that after five days straight, I had a day off. Happy too! Because I had plans to spend the day with my mate at the pride festival. Met up with Faine, an awesome pup to hang out with! Well, compared to an old lady like me lol. All in all had an awesome day. Got a few awesome t-shirts too. If I can I'll get pictures of them. Though I don't want to go back to work tomorrow, and miss the rest of my day off, my allergies are getting the better of me. x_x;;;; And I need to be up early. No mini hibernating for this squirrel. Time to make my nest and get comfy.

Posted 12 years agoOff work for the night, and our "couch slug" isn't under my roof anymore! I can kick back, chill in front of my computer, maybe even catch up on some Anime tonight if I want. All I know is, I've done so many victory dances since she walked out of that door.
"Chubblies" as our "couch slug" put it, are still around, however she's not. I don't mind hearing the stomping above my head so long as they don't blare their music like they've been doing. I can tune it out, I mean, someone else will make another complaint or two, it doesn't need to be me.
Had a good day at work, it wasn't bad. It wasn't excellent, but it wasn't dirt crap either. Thankfully! Gotta get up tomorrow morning for an early day, but I have Wednesday off. I should, hopefully, be able to work on drawings and such by then, unless I have nothing important to do tomorrow afternoon when I'm off work.

Posted 12 years agoI have seen so many of these Ross commercials since I was hired in May. It's nuts! It's insane! They kept the old slogan, but wow really?! lol! I love working there, retail sucks most days, but it's truly not that bad. But damn! Since I knew of Ross six years ago, I've never seen a commercial, now they're everywhere. The commercials, AND the stores. They're EVERYWHERE out here!
Oh, and another complaint--My couch broke, and my "couch slug" (current unpaid roommate) is trying to convince us to get rid of it and get a new one. Why? So you can sleep on it longer and NOT sleep on the floor? Sorry, that's not how it's going to work! We're GOING to get it fixed to the best of our ability, and we WILL not allow you to put it in the laid out bed position. Deal with it!!

Lately I've been asking my mate to lightly rub my nose when I get super stuffed up, and it clears my sinuses lol. Don't know why but it does. And I enjoy it, even if my sinuses ooze afterwards lol
Well, gotta get going now. Feels like a freaking head cold.

Allergies
Posted 12 years agoAt least I think it's allergies. Well, I hope it is. Can't afford to miss any days of work if it's more than allergies. x_x;; Sure feels like allergies, but I can only sit back and hope that's what it is.
Throat scratched yesterday all throughout work, then when I woke up this morning, after taking night time cold and flu, I had a bad sore throat. My nose is plugged so that may contribute to that. Augh... That's all I gotta say about that. Tea will help sooth my throat, hopefully.

Been working, working, working. Making what I can, and doing what would drive any normal person nuts. RETAIL. Now, that's clearly much different than working as a courtesy clerk at a grocery store. But, wow... Didn't think I'd be doing retail, and so good at it.
So, I'm still taking commissions! Take a look at my prices, my gallery and if its something that interests you, feel free to send me a note! Just know that I won't do any form of smut or fetishes or anything of the sort. Tasteful nudes is about as far as this squirrel will go.

Not a whole lot going on right now, went grocery shopping and now just chilling inside where it's somewhat cooler. Clearly cooler than outside, but at the peak of the day, I'm just going to use a fan.
Other than that, nothing else to really report, aside from a couple doodles. I'll scan them since I have nothing better to do, enjoy them when they're posted!

Posted 12 years agoBought my first action figure on Amazon a couple weeks ago, and anticipated it to arrive in July sometime. However, it came yesterday. I'm excited! It looks a tad worn, only a tad, but I love it!
Spotted it on Amazon for .99 and I thought that was to good to be true. Flipped actually. With the tax and that it was being shipped from China, it came to about four or five dollars. But, it was worth it! One Piece action figure, of course. X3 I'm such a nerd... My next investment is to be all 9 of the Straw Hats. They have a set of them for like... Forty dollars, I think. Nine nicely detailed figures--I'm buying it the next time I have the money!
Was going to get the Sunny Go, but thought against that. Anyways, I'll post up a picture of it here real soon.

Long week
Posted 12 years agoAnd I have the weekend off! Lucky me too, because of it being Father's day and all, working that day would suck so, so bad. The returns would be out the wazoo! Out the ears! Would have been nuts.
Possibly going to the aquarium today, at the Arizona mills mall in Tempe. So, that should be fun! :3 I know it will be fun. Aquariums are always fun! Unless it was that lame one we went to a couple years ago. The only cool thing about it were the baby Arapaimas. Because those fish get to be bigger than a basketball player in length. And they were five inches long! So, that's about it.
Anyway, tired of standing. Don't have a chair yet.

Posted 12 years agoSo, today was an interesting day. Did a lot of shoes at work in the stock room, but that's not what was interesting about it. Planned on working out today, and found a desk in pieces by the dumpster. Well, what did I do? Took it and assembled it without any instructions. Best part was, the screws and such were right there with it. So... Were they dumping it? Or were they telling someone, anyone to just... Take it? Well, I took it!
And now the computer is on it, and it looks great! :3 Yay I don't have to go and buy a new desk! And I planned on it too. Really glad I found this bad boy. Kind of have to prop up part of it with a couple books, but now all I need to do is get a decent chair at good will or something. Yay desk!

Posted 12 years agoToday was an excellent day, until my mate came to pick me up from work. Well, first thing she says to me was, "I have something to tell you." And I was all what's up, and she tells me that the back wheel on my bike was gone. Get over there and boom it was. Man I'm pissed off!

Posted 12 years agoLong day, and hopefully not another long day until next week. Today was my first day on register at Ross, and one customer, before I was scheduled to clock out, comes in and buys over a thousand dollars worth of stuff. That one purchase alone took a while. And of course, to make matters worse, the boss on the floor at that point kept treating me like I wasn't a newbie, but like I was mentally slow. Pissed me off. So much in fact, that it still has me fuming a bit. I mean, that was a big purchase, AND to top it all off, there was a lot to remember when it comes to being on register. I've been officially working at Ross since the fifteenth, so I'm still considered a newbie. Can you blame me?
Well, my first commission is finished! Hooray! Hopefully more to come. I get to buy myself a humidifier with the money sometime this week. Darn dry air! Hope it does the trick. I need it.
