Why things seem to go bad for people (vent)
General | Posted 13 years agoThis journal does not refer to any particular individuals nor does it exclusively refer to FA friends (I might repost and edit this on DeviantART and Facebook later on)
Lately, quite a few people I know, myself including, have been miserable in life. Some examples I will not name, but I will say they tend to complain about 1. "how much life sucks" 2. they bicker about relatives, and 3. they seem to think life is nothing but negatives just because they don't get what they want. And in their depressive states, they end up causing even more trouble for themselves to be depressed over in a loop.
Due to my own frustrations at life combined with my weariness of seeing so many people like myself in despair, I have decided to do something about it and share my strategies in dealing with it all. The first part of this might sound mean, but I am only expressing tough love: I really wish you would all just shut up and THINK. Just honestly, think. WHY are you even miserable in the first place? And I don't mean why at this particular point in time, but what chain of events has lead to your misery? Broken family? Break up in relationships? Lack of understanding peers? Personal health or spiritual issues? Stress over work or bills? Anything else?
First thing to say is do NOT play the blame game by saying "it's all my parents fault" or "I hate my boyfriend." Scientifically speaking, our happiness is NOT dependent on other people, and we can all control our own reactions, with varying mileage of course. Heck, I've been spending two weeks worrying about a friend's possible death, when I should have been putting my faith in Jesus (And no, this is not a religious tangent mind you all, just an example, please do continue reading this), because worry isn't going to solve my problems, but rather make even more of them, as I've already seen.
The thing is life is FULL of both Positive AND negative things, we just need to learn to view it as such. It's not Heaven nor hell, it's Earth. For example, whenever I draw a concept, like say it be my first time drawing a super hero, first I look at all the things I did wrong, or things I am not satisfied with and I jot them down on the space left on the paper that the drawing does take up. HOWEVER, at the same time, I also make some "+" notes. These notes reflect the things that I did right or things that where 'mistakes' that I ended up liking.
Now since the vast majority (if not all) of my friends this journal refers to generally deals with social troubles; namely familes and relationships, I shall stick to that subject to use as a template. First thing to suggest to my friends who are depressed on this subject (Even if most of the one's I am referring to do not have an FA Account) is instead of only thinking "Wah, she hates me" or "wah my family doesn't understand." Try to think of what you CAN Do.
I take a Self-Advocacy class in school and it's been paying off. If your family fails to understand you, then think; what are somethings you CAN do to help them understand? Well, one idea is, understanding them first. Be honest, how many of you actually get along / socialize with your families at all? Probably none of you from what I've seen. If you want them to get you, then -as I've said- I suggest you get to know them as well. After all you do only live under the same roof as them and the thing is, they wouldn't be on your case for no reason, unless there was bad history.
Some real life examples involve an occasion where I told my mother that she doesn't need to worry about me going out to town for a while because I am an adult and I am not going to run into a mugger when UpTown is usually crowded, and while I did return before dark like she asked, she did agree with my argument. This might sounds like a typical argument one would see on TV involving teenagers, but the difference is you need to be on the same level of maturity as the one you are speaking with, if not more so; you need to take both sides into account. Even though I believe myself to be correct, I do acknowledge that if the circumstances had been different, then my mother's argument had been more valid than mine (Such as IF UpTown being a dangerous place or even sparsely used at night) then I would have just taken her advice anyway even if I didn't agree.
Is my point clear on how to advocate for yourself? I could name more examples, such as being grateful for what you do have instead of down about what you don't, but I'd rather not go on a tangent. Bottom line; if your depression is being caused by someone else, BE MATURE about it and either work it out, or be grateful for what you do have instead of dwelling on what you don't. Otherwise, your troubles will double, simple as that.
Have a good night everyone and have a blessed day.

General | Posted 13 years agoIs FA turned white, or is it just me?
Well, this is awkward...
General | Posted 13 years agoI went to go shave a little while ago (why shave at 1 AM? I dunno), but when I looked in the mirror, I could see red spots on my eyes, and I don't recall having brought my glasses with me. I should be fine, as it's just a minor blood vein burst in my eyes, thus giving the red coloring. I looked up the causes and from what I gather, 2 possibilities exist for what happened.
1. The other night I was EXTREMELY stressed and self-loathing over an incident I'd rather not go over here. So maybe it was stress. But then again, I wasn't really able to feel it until today.
2. I have a snorkel mask that I use during beach days, since I have no skill in keeping my eyes open when they come into contact with foreign water. However, the mask is very tight and it feels like it crushes my nose each time I put it on and take it off. But I also didn't go to the beach today.
the Funny thing is, no one pointed this to me out today nor yesterday, so I guess it happened a couple of hours ago, if not just a few.
So all I need to do it just wait and leave it in Jesus's hands, I should be fine. I've read that these cases are not so much as direct harm so much as an inconvenience.

Got myself a "new" TV provided by
princekovu. It's not perfect, but at least I can actually turn the flipping thing on. And my Ps2 memory card (which was missing) was found by my mother. Yay!
Now to boosh stuff.

General | Posted 13 years agoFor the past 10 months, I've been visiting a two different sites to talk to furry friends (FA isn't one of them). One is a chat room site (Which for your stafty I will not mention it's name) and the other has the same features, but is much tamer (even though it's 18+ as well), and it's only furries.
Anywho, a long time ago, I had a dream, so of a vision of the first of these two sites. In the dream, I was typing something the someone posted an emoticon that looked like an Alien Grey. This was my first sign something was up on it, like it had this "Evil" aura to it.
I had other dreams, ones where I was actually half-awake about that particular site, almost like a state of insanity. After a few bouts of these, I slowly became more and more convinced some kind of evil spirits where at work.
And now, just not much more than an hour ago, I had the scariest of any dream on this subject. Copy pasted from an earlier conversation I had, this is what I said.
"ell. First of I went to take a nap with -site name- open on my pc.
Then I went to sleep and dream that I woke up in the morning, getting ready for school, but then I woke up again at night. I could hear this evil but human-like voice talking to my little brother about football.
Then I get out of bed, barely able to see, and all this deer antlers are on my desk, one made of real antler, the other metal. After removing them, I could here the "man" come up the stairs, saying I was an animal... where I realized he wasn't human at all.
When he came up, he had a flashlight and an evil... alien faced being attacked me .-."
I do not recall if I called upon Jesus in said dream, but if I did, It seems to have helped.
My opinion? It's very possible demonic manifestation exists on that site.
Any-who, I plan on leaving this site very soon for good, as I do not want these possible demons to harm my family.
Your thoughts?

General | Posted 13 years agoor maybe some Peace of Mind. Anywho, mother is leaving for Florida with her friends and is leaving me and my siblings (along with one of her own friends) in charge of the house.
This ought to be an interesting experience, cause It'd be like a demonstration of a plan that my mom and I made (her one day moving out and leaving me to live in the old house once the time came). I'm not really so nervous, rather just eager.
Wish me luck
