Anyone here familiar with building for the ppc64 arch? Gonna be doing my first attempt at a gentoo build that wasn't on a i686. Anyone got any in site on pitfalls to avoid?

Does anyone know of a selh snake? I used to talk to him a while ago, but he kinda fell off the only messengers I had for him.

I went to Weasyl to claim my username just now to make sure noone did the imposter thing. It was the ONLY site I had open. Five minutes later I go back to FurAffinity and find some words highlighted and showing coupons. I removed the coupon addon, closed Firefox and had it cleared. Went back to Weasyl and got the addon back. I removed it again and skipped Weasyl and it's no longer coming back. So, I was already skeptical about using the site, but now, Fuck it.

I refuse to support a site that throws software that's borderline malware on my machine without asking.
I'll have an account there, it is me, but if this doesn't change, I will not be using it, even as a secondary.
That just adds to the growing lists of strikes against that site for me.

Strike 1: Pitched as a furry site to get interest and funding, then abruptly given a course change after reciving startup money.
Strike 2: Several folks who are mods that are notoriously bad at handling themselves on this site when they stayed here.
Strike 3: Malware.

I don't like making ranty journals, I really don't, but I'm really getting tired of this "You didn't put a thumbnail." or "Your warning didn't stop me from seeing what I didn't want to see." Recent notes, comments and journals have made this policy necessary. I draw and commission what I want to see. I post what I draw so that someone might gain a little enjoyment with the same sense of humor I have. For those who are not sure what I am talking about, or are missing information, here's a quick breakdown:

A) Custom thumbnails are a nicety and not a privilege. So are warnings as to content. They are not mandated by FA.
B) FA's thumbnail system is not working correctly. Warnings are all I've got to publicly warn you. Don't tell me this isn't enough. It's all I have at my disposal.
C) I do what I can to warn you of the content because I genuinely try to be a nice guy. Every time people chew me out for not doing what they feel I should, I feel less like being nice. If I'm gonna get yelled at either way, I may as well take the lazy route and just post with no warnings and no thumbnails if they ever do fix the custom thumbnails.
D) Every time you post about how I didn't thumbnail something to your perfect whim, you sound like an entitled and hypocritical baby. You aren't entitled to have everything your way on other people's pages, and if you like anything but ONLY the super cutest little baby animals, I can find something on your page that some other person doesn't like. If they aren't fully warned and thumb nailed, then guess what!.. You're a hypocrite!

My Policy:
- If you don't like it don't look. If you accidentally look, close the window and forget about it, don't spend the time to complain to me about how you don't like my food choices, fictional hygiene habits, or the color of my hair, etc.

- Failure to heed this warning once will result in your comment being hidden and given a warning. Second time you do this I will block you from my page.

- If you don't like it, I owe you NOTHING. I will not apologize for my likes, I will not take down the picture, and I CERTAINLY will NOT give any form of compensation. I am not responsible for your keyboard, laptop, mouse, computer, screen, carpet, pet dog, or any other conceivable item that may be damaged in nausea, rage, fear or any other reaction to my art. (This may seem silly but this has been requested or insinuated several times as of late.)

Gonna start trying to make a suit for my self, and not sure where to start. Anyone got any places or links they found helpful.

Last few weeks since AC have been spent getting paperwork done for my new job, and working on the race team's trucks after the June 16th race tore up 3 of the 4 pretty badly. On the 30th, ran a race in the newly fixed s-10. Finished 3rd in the heat race, (video below), and last in the main after shredding a tire on the first turn after some shenanigans on the track. (driver of blue 70 asked my teammate and I to give him the win in exchange for the winnings. We laughed and said, win it first. Driver got pissy, and on pace lap was banging on teammate's truck. Teammate pushed him off of him and up the track. I saw the whole and shot under, teammate let off of the push as it wasn't prolonged just a "get off of me", 70 came back down and slammed teammate into the rear quarter of my truck, putting all 3 of us in the infield.) Next race, my trucks gonna have "Bumper of Attitude Adjustment" sharpied on the front.

So, finished getting the car road worthy and stripped out to get to Anthrocon. Changed the oil, Flushed the coolant, topped fluids, charged the AC and fixed the drain hose, fixed the thermostat (I've been ok running heat on full and windows open, but I doubt the others I'm taking would be so generous.) Stripped the front passenger seat for more cargo space, stripped Sub-woofers for more cargo space.

TL;DR I need someone familiar with java to ask questions about networking in java.

I've not touched network programming in java before. Almost every guide or help on it I've seen is based on getting website information using Android's own methods, or anchient. I'm writing a decentralized network app in which chat data, user data, and gps info is transmitted and received. What I'm looking for is someone familiar with this topic to talk to and perhaps hammer out errors in my thinking because I seem to be making very little progress.

Well it's been a few days since I heard, and it took some time to come to grips with it, but one of my coworkers, and friends (unfortunately not as close as we should have been) passed away on last friday night. Rest in peace Jesse, It's bitter sweet to loose you, but to realize you are now free from your diabetes that kept you from ever knowing what life was unrestrained. See you on the otherside someday.
