So, I needed something to get rid of that last journal, and right now that would be the new system. It took a little while longer than hoped to get it running due to a faulty board. But Gigabyte cleared that right up, and I'm pleased to say the new board has handled my stress testing well.So far I couldn't be happier with the system. But DAMN at full load she uncorks a load of heat! Running CPU and both GPUs at 100% she just barely breaks 50*C on cpu and 60*C on both gpus, which is a tad hotter than I'd prefer, but not bad, though I will be swapping out the cases included fans for higher flow ones to rectify that sometime soon.

So.. My major changed it's program. I have 3 classes to take now or they aren't offered for another 3 semesters, add on top of that I'm classified as full time for billing purposes now, but not eligible for full time financial aid (loans not grants), because I wasn't full time last semester. And an increase in tuition, Add it all together and I'm about $2000 short of needed funds.. Fuck Shippensburg. You know what, fuck university.. just fuck it. Fucking extortion, the whole god damned fucking system. Some days... just... augh. I'm tired of all this shit. Sure I fucked up.. failed a class, but if you aren't one of the chosen to go to school, and have either mom and dad pay for it, or the government pay for it, and actually have to work for it, they just start kicking you while your down. That health care bill took over financial aid (Why the fuck is there a Student Loan provision in a health care bill any way?), and made me eligible for less since my parents "make too much" (paying them selves out of a large debt hole.) Started working more to make ends meet, and make class work. Failed a class due to lack of time. That failed class took away my eligibility for any aid made me work more. Started dropping classes left and right, got depressed, and quit on myself. Tried to pick it back up again the next semester with one class (all I could afford out of pocket since work had been slow. Found a new job finally thought I had got on the right track picked up a computer, and now find out that well all of above ends up to my bill being almost $4000 more than expected. Goddamn I hate universities. Oh and PS, since I stopped being full time, and my loans are now government loans (they were taken over retroactively) my agreement to pay back when school is finished is now void and I need to start paying them back since I'm no longer receiving them. Isn't government grand? I'm worn out, burnt out, and now apparently fuck broke.

I've not been around much, I feel like I'm living at my jobs sometimes. For those I haven't told, I'm working warehousing (at a local amazon.com warehouse) now as well as my computer repair job. Unfortunately things are only gonna be busier for the next few weeks for the Christmas season, as I'll be working Sunday-Friday 6:00pm - 5:30am at Amazon, and Saturday 8am-1pm at the computer repair job for a total of 74 hours at work. Hopefully though after Christmas I should be winding down at Amazon as my position was originally meant to be seasonal. Luckily School will be finishing up shortly also so I will only have a 1-2 week overlap of school and work.

I may pop on to check somethings now and then, but for now, Seeyas all on the otherside.

So.. building a new system in the future. I know roughly what I'ma do with the internals, but does anyone have any good ideas for cases? For the life of me I can't seem to find something I like. Trying to find a decent balance of look/functionality/price, and wanting to stay ATX mid or full tower. Seems like everyone I find is 1) Gaudy as fuck, 2) Cheep (as in quality) as fuck, 3) or Expensive as fuck. Not looking for a powersupply, it'd just be coming out for a high wattage corsair anyways.

Severe Weather.. agh. I don't like spending hours with no power in the basement.

So.. like the best laid plans of mice and men, my room suddenly went from full to semi empty. I am looking for 1-3 people that would be interested in sharing a room with another 2-3 people at ac. The room is a double bed room at the double tree. Bed spaces are negotiable, as I and others are willing to take floor space.

Agh.. I needed to vent here I was going to do something I was going to regret to my sister. I haven't played my ps2 in a few months since I've been busy with school. Since then She's turned the ps2 and tv it's on into her dvd player. I go over to use it again today. to find 75% of my games crushed, scratched and/or coated in spilled soda, candy mess, old gum, etc. Memory card ports with sticky goo in them, memory cards themselves stepped on and destroyed, and the controllers disgusting and unusable, missing thumb stick heads and gummed up with stuff. She doesn't give two shits about anything that's not hers. Damnit, now I have to spend another day cleaning up discs, controllers, the system and see which games are scratched beyond repair or snapped. (This is NOT the first time this is happened)

EDIT: With luck she didn't kill GT3/4 or any of My Tokyo Extreme Series games, or most of them. But unfortunately DESTROYED Rampage, and one of my import Intital D games <.< Those have the metal pealed off.

Soo.. I've been wondering where my cough drops have been going. Over the last few weeks each morning I'd find the bag of cough drops I bought a good bit emptier than the day before. I thought it was my family, (they tend to have this what's mine is yours and what's yours is mine thing going on.) but.. I came downstairs to find the cats eating them this morning. Damn cats have a drug problem <.<. Remember talk to your cat about catnip.. and now cough drops.

Any of you play around with loading custom roms to your phones.. if so, I was curious if you knew any that you'd recommend.. Currently have Cognition on mine, and it's pretty nice but there may be others out there that are better.

Damn... AT&T is really stupid with their Android phones. But, after a nuber of hours and some research, I now have my Samsung Captivate (AT&T'sGalaxy S varient) rooted, allowing 3rd party apps, allowing teathering, purged of bloat ware, and in general performing better than ever before.

I've debated saying this before, but never did get around to writing a journal about it. I'm going to try to make myself available for general computer questions, build help, and general troubleshooting and repair help. (especially viruses, malware, and the like. I like challenges.) I can't fix everything (especially not over net), but if I'm not totally swamped irl, I will be willing to help you out to the best of my ability. Experience: 1.5 Years Student Computer Technician w/ local school district, 3 years Computer Repair Technician at a small computer shop, 5 years of personal tinkering, and Junior in Computer Science (embedded device focus). So if you need help, or know a fur who does, send em my way. I'll do my best to help with what ever might be needed.
