Sorry for the lack of activity! Especially with the holiday season things have been pretty busy on my end. But I am getting back to things and getting around to the notes that have piled up. And I am back just in time for the upcoming week of episodes - that being Steven's birthday week so that should be pretty fun. We will continue the episode discussion when the new episodes pick up, unless anyone has any special request to open up discussion for specific episodes.

Still having issues uploading PNG files so i have submitted a ticket, hopefully it gets figured out. So i can touch on other stuff of the episode but really lets just get to what everyone wants to talk about. Little itty bitty Peridot! I don't know about you guys but i was not expecting that at all. Although i had a suspicious something was up because they took her leg before. I don't remember who but before i was talking to someone and they were like 'what if those are just like platforms and she super short'. I was like that would be adorable but naaw. but clearly i was wrong and i am glad! I already really liked peridot but this episode pushed her up as one of my favorite gems - although my true love Garnet will always be my top pick Peridot is a close second.

I really loved her interactions with Steven. So the redemption is finally happen (or so it seems anyway). So it looks like through the power of steven she will be won over to the good side. You can already see the connection starting to form as currently hes the only one that nice to her and she seems to be (for the most part) okay with his presence as she lets him into the bathroom. I love how she doesn't really understand how things work. Like when she starts slapping Steven or in the bathroom how she keep asking "is that a weapon" Ah man tiny peridot is really just the cutest thing ever i think we can all agree on that.

ALSO PLEASE DO NOT TALK ABOUT "WHEN IT RAINS" i know that episode came out today. dont worry you can talk about that in the next episode discussion.

So I got a few request to talk a discussion on episode 68 Nightmare Hospital. So if you have no seen the episode STOP here because SPOILERS AHEAD!

Its another Connie episode, being one of my favorite characters i was more then happy to see her. Not only Connie but her mother too. I've been curious about her parents for some time now, I know some kind of development was coming i was just waiting for when as they were not yet aware of the magical things Connie is involved with. Anyway back to the events of the episode. So when they entered the hospital I thought it was super adorable how they held hands before entering the spooky hospital. Im a big fan of their developing relationship and i just find that innocent puppy love thing so cute, so it made me especially happy.

I was expecting some kind of magic to be involved but was surprised to find the return of the Gem cluster mutants from Keeping It Together. I have sooo many questions. How did they get there? Why are they there? And why did the doctors think they were normal sick people? oh and oh man the SOUNDS that they make really get me. Those odd hallow screaming sounds. I also really love their design, i really did the body horror look. Speaking of things I love I really love Steven and Connie's fighting style, the team work and such was really great.

Can i also say this show handles character development very well? Dr. Maheswaran (connies mom) was played very well over. Although a little shaken and upset by the situation she more cares about the relationship with her daughter then any of that. She wants her to be safe, but also happy. A lot of other shows I've seen kinda do similar things the parents dont really change, they get mad and try to stop them from doing it or just go the im not changing my mind route. So i liked this out come a lot more. My own parents are kind of similar in that sense, wanting me to do my best and to be safe but also wanting me to be happy, and working around my weirdness so i can be happy rather then trying to stop me or change me. So i liked it a lot, i can relate. And i felt it was a lot more true to life then the automatic no other shows would give in this situation.

And what you've been waiting for...the ending. After they say the 'i love yous' Steven looks sad and hugs his mother sword. Ouch. This show suuuuure knows how to just destroy your heart doesn't it? Don't have much to say other then all i want to do is give Steven a big hug.

Alright well there it is, my thoughts on it. Its my first time trying this so I'm sorry ifs all over the place/badly written! I'll get better in time i am sure. but its not about me anyway, its about you guys! What did you think? Feel free to discuss in the comments!

So a couple times now I've been asked on my thoughts on specific episodes now. So I thought maybe you guys would be interested in me making a journal with my thoughts in each episode. Now of course it just wont be about what i think, but i would invite everyone in the comments to post their thoughts and what not about the episode. Id only be starting this with new episodes coming up not past ones, not unless i get like specific request to start a discussion on it. thoughts?

I am a bit late with this one but this was brought to my attention.
I haven't heard any bad news on the censoring front, not recently (unless i missed something which i may have, ive been so busy). things are going well but there is the risk of something happening as we get more into that territory. So either way it may be a good idea to sign it and show that people really so care and dont want to censor any of its martial.

How to submit to the group

Please sent us a note! All links and art posted through shouts will be Favorited but not added to the group. I have made a few exceptions for this but i wont anymore. so please send us a note!! In the note please put somewhere that you would like to submit it to the group. If your just sending a link I cant be 100% sure if that's what you want me to do. It probably is, but theres a chance you just want a favorite not to submit. so please be clear about it!

So again, shouts are to share with out submitting. You will get a favorite from the group, but it wont be submitted. to submit you must note it.

How many can i submit?

At one time you can submit up to 2 submissions at one time (the exception being for comics, you can submit a few extra for those). However this isn't all you can submit to the group ever. I just want want the group to be flooded with one artist work at one time. You can send it in, wait a little while, then submit more work if you like! There is no limit so long as you give other people a chance to fill the gallery too.

NSFW art


Following the lead of tumblr and other art sites NSFW art will be tagged as 'Stephen galaxy' instead. As this is primarily a show aimed at younger audiences this is to help prevent them from accidentally stumbling across that type of content, as well as to be respectful to those that simple do not wish to see the characters shown in this manner. And anything NSFW content involving Steven, Connie, or any of the underage characters is not allowed period.

If the picture you are submitting has prints available (on redbubble or similar sites or any other type merch) You can link that to me as well and i am more then happy to add it into the description of the submission for you.

You can also submit a submission advertising Steven universe themed commissions. Badges to YCH stuff. it HAS to be SU themed for it to be submitted. You can also only submit one of these types a month as to not spam members with that type of content. If the YCH/commissions are closed please note me and i will put the submission in scraps.

I am thinking of possibly in the future setting up an some kind of art contest for Su fanart, probably have some kind of over all theme. Perhaps something to do with fusions and gemsonas, or just do strictly canon character art with a theme i am not to sure. Totally open to suggestions btw. I am also trying to think of some kind of prize. I'm making some cookie cat pillows for myself, perhaps i could make an extra one and I could send it to the winner? other then that i wont really know what else to give the dinner aside from art from me haha. Any thoughts? and would anyone actually be interested in entering?

To those that may of missed the news the next Steven bomb starts July 13th. No episode titles have even been announced, nothing really has other then a picture that has the dates and "Sardonyx is coming". Anyone have any thoughts or theories on who Sardonyx is? I've seen a lot of speculation that she's the the statue carved into the front of the crystal temple.

Also the rumour that Rebecca Sugar said "Sardonyx has already appeared in the show, and has been hiding in plain sight" has been proved to be false. She never said that, It was made by a fake SU facts blog. Still doesn't mean its not possible.

Hello everyone! I hope you are all having a lovely day.
So i had an idea for when the group hopefully gets a bit bigger (other wise its not really possible as of now). But i was hoping sometime we could arrange to do fusions of our gemsonas. Anyone that submits their gemsona to the group would be allowed to participate. If you sign up basically you are matched up with another artist and you are to draw the fusion of your gemsona and theirs. You would not be allowed to tell the other artist until it was finished. Almost like a secret Santa.

So we aren't doing this now of course. but thoughts, comments, things to add?
