Posted 12 years agoFinally my tablet troubles seem to be under control (mostly, I just have to reboot more often now)-
the pen is still jumping unexpectedly.
This is what has been taking me so long.
My nine year old tablet is trying to die on me. :T
It's been cranky ever since I moved to Windows 7 (had to use Bamboo drivers for it)- and now the cursor skips when I'm using it. Which is more than just a little annoying when lining.
So, I've had to restart and redo almost all of my linework because the tablet futzed out.
If I line things at like 300%+ I can catch things a bit better, it just takes FOREVER.
So, I am SO SO sorry guys.
After I finish this batch of commissions, I really may have to look into getting a new tablet. :(

Then my husband had to be rushed to the ER (unrelated to the previous event) where he stayed for several days. He's been diagnosed with congestive heart failure and he was in 3rd stage renal failure. After many scary days, he came home and we've been shifting our lives around. Regular clinic visits (to keep track of his kidneys) and lots of expensive medication. He's been a real champ about this. Posted 13 years agoI am deeply sorry to have fallen off the bandwagon for 3 months.
My family had a ton of hardships hit us recently. Especially with my Grandmother's health.
Sadly, she passed away the day before Mother's Day.
At least she's at peace now.
The other burdens were brought on with school activities/doctors' appointments/etc. with my son.
We're alright, just trying to stay afloat, yanno?
So, I'm back.
Sorry if I worried anyone. I wasn't planning on quitting or anything, just needed a break for a while.

Hospital Update
Posted 14 years agoHusband is coming home today!
He had a heart cath yesterday- and his thumper is A-OK. no blockage or scary stuff.
Just horrible blood pressure (which they cant' find the exact cause of, since he's always had really good BP...)
The Doctor requested he stay out of work for a few weeks. 8_8
Unfortunately, we can't afford him missing more than THIS week (till sunday). But he's on a strict no bending/stooping/lifting regime.
Also, lots of meds.
YAY! Hubby HOME and no more sleeping up at the hospital! (i think that chair may have a permanent Leelee dent in it. O_O;; )
So, everything will be back on schedule and I can get cracking on all of these commissions again!
Thank you so much for all the support/well wishes and commissions! as soon as I get these done, I will be opening for more at the SALE PRICE- so keep an eye out!

i cannot speak, i am hacking until i hurl and i have body aches that make it near impossible to sit up.
i had planned to knock a chunk of these out tonight, but i can't sit here very long.
i'm going to work instead on them in the morning again (when the body aches seem to be less severe).
i'm sorry for inconveniencing you guys. my son just loves sharing these horrible germs with me. :|

i've been gone for almost 5-6 days.
my son is sick, so we've been back and forth to the doctor.
bronchial infection, followed by allergic reaction to the medicine, insomnia of a FOUR YEAR OLD O_O, etc.
then saturday- i came down sick with some sort of stomach flu thing.
today, hubby has gotten the lethargic sickness (his is acting flu-like though)
ugh.
i feel like crap on a crap cracker.
i'll be catching up to everything here in the next couple days.
please forgive me.

just got back from my son's doctor- he isn't allergic to the medicine, it is a viral rash and fever.
so he's home until thursday.

Got my car back today!

3 miles from home.
Yep.
That sums up my day.
I called the shop, and they give me the "we can't tell you what's wrong unless you come in and get diagnostics"
(of which i just had halfway done three days ago)
i don't have the money.
this is ridiculous.
this car will not be fixed.
the guy said it's possibly the fuel pump.
welp, isn't that great.
that would cost more than the CAR to get fixed.
i don't know what to do.
i got it back- it ran fine for about an hour,
then it started losing power- i was at a red light and it just died.
i could restart it at all.
we had to push it across the intersection and now it's sitting in the parking lot at the video store.
FML

the guy said it's possibly the fuel pump.
welp, isn't that great.
that would cost more than the CAR to get fixed.
i don't know what to do.
i got it back- it ran fine for about an hour,
then it started losing power- i was at a red light and it just died.
i could restart it at all.
we had to push it across the intersection and now it's sitting in the parking lot at the video store.
