Emergency Commissions: New computer
General | Posted 11 years agoAs much as i hate to open even more commissions, I am in some dire need.
My laptop is slowly starting to crap out on me, piece by piece. A bunch of my keys have fallen off the keyboard, occasionally my 'b', 'v', and spacebar will just stop working completely, with no reason why.
It's running slower, I can't have too many internet tabs open without it crashing, let along have music play at the same time I have SAI open.
I was planning on saving up for a desktop computer, and the ones I've been looking at are around $1000. It may seem like a lot for a desktop, but for the amount of work I do on my computer, I'd like one that works nicely.
I'm half way there right now, sitting on $500 of spare money, so if you guys could buy another $500 worth of commissions I'd be so fucking happy.
In the meantime I'll work the best I can on this laptop, but if it bites the dust early I'll steal Toby's when I get home from work to draw in the evenings.
It'd be a great help to me if you guys could signal boost this. I really enjoy drawing, and if it comes down to it, once I finish these commissions I have and I don't get any more, and I don't have a new computer, I'll probably be too unmotivated to work on art. I know this sounds like guilt tripping, but I've been tossing the idea of stopping drawing for a while, and not having a computer kind of tips the scale. So if you enjoy my art, please let me know by supporting me! If I see that what I do inspires you guys, it might motivate me enough to want to keep drawing, regardless of getting a new computer.

So for the next couple of weeks my shift got changed, and I'll be working afternoons instead of mornings, which is nice because I'll get to sleep in and stay up late. And night is when i'm most artistically creative, so you'll be seeing much more artwork from me!! YAY
So I should be getting my mojo back sometime this week.
AND THEN At the end of the month I should be starting my new job!!! So we'll see what that schedule is like.

I'm in awe!! I can't believe I have 800 of you that have enjoyed my are enough to click that watch button.
Ah it's really surreal, you guys make it all worth it!!
I've struggled a lot in the past with my art (not just drawing, but the people closest to me being very critical of me, saying it'd never amount to anything)
So seeing this makes me think it really was worth it.
I know I'm still not great, but who is? Everyone has somewhere that they can improve.
I hope that soon I can give back to you guys even more. So thank you all so much!!!

I haven't had much time/motivation to draw during the week as I've been way too tired. I get home from work and "nap" for like six hours lol then I'm up for an hour to eat then I'm back in bed for the night.
These short nights have been catching up to me, unfortunately.
Anyways, I work a really short shift tomorrow so I'm going to try and get all my sleep in tomorrow so I have Saturday and Sunday solely for working :)
May or may not stream, depends on how my dads internet likes my computer.

So I delved into my savings and I bought myself a new monitor!!! I was originally planning on having a three monitor set up, but sadly my laptop can only handle having two right now LOL So soon as i save up a little more I can buy an adapter so I can have all three set up. Or I can just save up for a new laptop that will be able to handle three montior set up, plus my gaming, plus my drawing lol
but that's in the future. i want to buy a like, $1000+ laptop eventually. Something really nice that'll last me a million years and run so smooth. ////<333
ANYWAYS. New monitor, colors look so fucking crisp, I'm really excited to get drawing on it. Soon as i eat and get settles, I'm going to open up a stream. Keep an eye out!

KNOWING YOU MIGHT BE SO CLOSE TO GETTING A NEW JOB BUT THE FUCKING HUMAN RESOURCES GUY IS PLAYING TELEPHONE TAG WITH ME
aughghasd we've been trying all week to contact each other but keep getting each other's voicemails. He told me he'd be in between 2-5 today and I've called him THREETIMES AND its gone to voice mail every time //sob

I'm fucking sick of people who drive other people to the point of hospitalization. Toby's still with the doctor's, but they came to tell me he was just having really bad anxiety attacks and had really high blood pressure. He'd been having some troubles with people being asses online trying to suspend his account for stupid reasons, and eventually drove him to this I guess.
Like seriously, this is Toby's job. His paychecks rely on having his account here on fA, don't bully him about fucking characters and try to get him banned for nothing.
Fucking makes me sick.
I'm sitting here worried as hell, and its' mostly because of some dick nuggets who don't know how to be nice.

I've just been having some troubles sitting down and drawing. I want to do every artsy craft BUT drawing, it seems. I'm sure I'll get my muse back soon (or I might just have to force myself tomorrow)

I'm picking my tablet up again today, but I doubt I'll be streaming, seeing as I get very small traffic coming in anyways.
I'll try to get as many pieces done as I can today, and again only three slots are going to be open until Sunday, so if you were planning on getting something from me, nows your only chance.
