Hey all! I just finished Phase 1 of my Furry Library audit.

However, instead of posting the whole thing here, I'm gonna link to my Patreon post where I talk about everything. This post is free for everyone, but I feel like I've not been talking about the Patreon enough, so I'm trying to shine a spotlight on it.

Aesop: A story where the animal has little or no human physical features and their personality is guided by stereotypes of the species. Over the Hedge, Fox and Hound are some examples.

Mutant Animal: The character(s) have human/humanoid body plans, and are outliers in the setting - the general population are humans. Famous examples and name originator, Teenaged Mutant Ninja Turtles. Does not actually need to be a mutant animal, aliens work as well.

Funny Animal: The characters are often Hanna-Barbara/Looney Tunes body shape and plan. Their species sometimes predicts their personality. Funny animal usually is short form fiction, especially geared towards humor and gag-jokes.

Anime: The characters are often human with animal ears and tails, rarely with additional animal features. There is often light personality indicators from the animal, and it covers a wide variety of genres and types.

Furry(Genre): Characters that are anthropomorphic in body and mind, in a world where it makes sense. Often differentiated from Funny Animal in that Furry often deals with mature and/or adult themes as opposed to humor and slapstick, although it covers that as well.

Just some loose definitions I've been working on, sorting through and trying to catagorize Furry Comics. Because I'm going for Furry Comics, not Anthropomorphics, but also coincidentally I'm going for Furry Fandom, not Furry Genre.

Finally got to finish box B-Cr of the comics. As it turns out, I found something that wasn't in the catalog!

....an extra copy of Bureau of Mana Investigation Issue 4.

Nothing too exciting!

Also, Joe Strike gave me some more comics and zines, particularly a bunch of Fang Steel and Claw. Once I get the inventory done (I've got 37 pages of stickers...) I'll get to cataloging the stuff that isn't.

....make sure that I actually do what you want requested.

For example, I do not draw. So asking me for art is... ....not gonna happen, unless you like stick figures.

Now that the comics have been re-sorted and the library redesigned (photo coming), time to do the audit! This time, instead of just confirming the existance of a title on the catalog, I'm going to also be counting how many I have. I've only checked Furrlough and the #-A titles so far, but these are the ones I've got duplicates of. Wee!

I moved last month.

Literally just down the road. Schmozy and I (mainly him) bought a two bedroom condo.

It's got so much space that I realized I forgot how NOT to cram everything into as little a space as possible due to lack of it. Even spread out some we still have SPACE.

We're also putting art up on the walls! No more blank walls for us!

I'll think about posting interior pics when we're 'done' putting art up.

Whew!

I've been slacking on my Furry Library project - and I don't even have all the 'artifact' items organized yet (Although I'm thinking of splitting those to a seperate project and catalog for organizational reasons).

So I finally counted everything. I made some judgement calls on some stuff, and I didn't include items that were personal or for personal use. But including comics, zines, books, conbooks, con swag, ad fliers, and clothing items?

I have 2,228 items.

Not all of it is documented properly. Not all of it is sorted properly. But it wouldn't take me long to find the stuff that isn't sorted, and I plan to sort them soon enough.

But still. 2,228 items. Wow.
