Camp Furry Weekend Atlanta reviews
Posted 9 years agoThis is the second year that Furry Weekend Atlanta has not failed to disappoint me. While "The Furgotten East" focused more on culture, Camp Furry Weekend Atlanta focused more on an outdoor leisurely environment. I give credit to Tigerpaw and his amazing staff for their creativity with everything from the wooden state park style signs to the beautiful flags and nature feel.
As always the sky lounge meeting was my favorites for the free iced coffee, the mason jars and the macaroons which have always been one of my favorite deserts on Saturday afternoon.
While everyone at the convention seemed to be in a pleasant mood due to the size and space of the Marriott, I noticed that several faces were missing this year. Among those were my good friend @ZuitWolf, Duma and Lucas and many countless others.
Other areas
1. I am in the process of getting some badge art done based on my last graphite sketch of Summer and it looks like it will be received by mail.
2. I had a chance to try on several furry heads and get photos with them
3. I enjoyed the Garage Improve Group which was very entertaining
4. I bought a Spike plushie to add to my MLP which caught my eye

FWA and Zootopia
Posted 9 years agoAs we all know, Furry Weekend Atlanta is a little less than three weeks away and it means that many will be mending their fursuits, paying for their hotel rooms, saving up their money and even figuring out the best way to get there whether local or live on the west coast. This includes me, minus the fursuit part.
As we also know, Zootopia has taken center stage for many furries alike who have seemed to take a shine to the production as it seems to reflect how a fursona would live their lives. Being that I have a love for furries along with having my fursona, I too plan to see the cinematic masterpiece put out by Disney.
Now tying all this together, I have to wonder, do you think that the staff at FWA will organize a night where a group of us get together and watch the movie at some point during the convention?
One will only find out

Posted 10 years agoAs all of you know Furry Weekend Atlanta is over now and that means that I get to give my reviews.
First of all I am in love with the Marriott Marquis and everything about it. There are two things that I did not realize though.
1. For those who didn't have a direct elevator to the floor of the god level it meant that taking the stairs to one more level- Which is very dangerous for people who have arthritis and other health issues
2. The hotel was hot
None the less I booked a room this year and stayed with Raphael and another girl named Kelaruj. It was pleasant.
I also purchased a god level pass only to find that the lounge offered mediocre type food this year due to a last minute change on directorship. Although I enjoyed the director and some of the new staff members. I also love my new tea set since I am a tea drinker to begin with in. Meanwhile the dinner was healthy and top quality. I give a hand to Tiger Paw for that one.
The theme of this year's con had to be my favorite out of all the 4 years I that I had been attending FWA. That is because it had more of a culture type of a feel whereas the last two themes were silly and pointless. I was also very much in love with the decor.
Once again we had the animal conservation crew come in with a fennec fox named Tut who was just too cute for words. Like every other viewer I felt tempted to pet the little feline like canine.
Other things
I really loved attending a panel where guests and staff had a chance to share their stories about Filthy Rotten, "The Red Queen." I had never seen anything like this at any of the other conventions that I had attended. What sets FWA's staff apart from other staff is that they are very community based. Doing just that in itself gave a great example.
Over all I really loved FWA 2015 and I hope that 2016's summer camp theme will be just as heart warming and creative.

1. The host hotel is in the Marriott Marquis
2. I have booked and paid for my own room and my roommates don't have to pay
3. I have a god level pass time- I look forward to that
4. FWA had a very nice office/ staff party in January that I enjoyed attending

1. Get some commissions or badge art of Summer in leopardess and mare pegasus
2. I found a squirrel puppet at Barnes and Noble that I would like to bring if I get around to buying him and bringing him
3. Find and make mock tails to keep me dancing all night without drinking
4. Get into Furries Got Talent
5. Audition for Floor wars
6. Jump in the bouncy house (If they have one)
7. Spend most of con shooting vlogs for my youtube channel
8. Neither cry not get sick

FWA hopes and dreams for 2015
Posted 10 years agoLike most of you on here I really look forward to attending FWA 2015 since the last two times that I have attended were horrible.
Last year I ended up attending the convention while recovering from a rejection of a close friend. What made it worse is that I had run into a furry who I had been acquainted with for years that was also good friends with the person who dumped me. Why? All three of us had some good times together and upon seeing this furry/scaly happen to trigger those happy times. Prior to crossing paths this this con goer my friend and convention buddy Hoo Hoo, a yoshi, had shown me a previous conversation between himself and the person who kicked me to the curve. Seeing that conversation made me very angry and depressed during most of the weekend. I couldn't enjoy myself. All I saw was black.
So what I am hoping for is a better and brighter FWA 2015 since it will be in a new setting, I will have my own room with people who I trust, and a god level pass. So I don't think I can complain.

I inform you that I went to FWA 2014 since I am a local to the area. Like any other year, I attend the convention because I find that it is my favorite convention. This year though turned out to be one of the worst years spent at FWA for me.
1. They got rid of the con suite where I would go and relax while they left the God Level alone.
2. The host hotel that they used for the past two cons was a horrible fit although great for mass and public transit access.
3. They made it sound like there would be a constant flow of catered food during the con like things to drink
4. There was not MLP meet up
5. It was too crowded and noisy this year.
However, I enjoyed seeing Rebelnine, Myka, Dragon_Trap,Shrix, and Bacent.

Posted 11 years agoAs most of you know March starts on Saturday and that means that Furry Weekend Atlanta is just around the corner.
That means
1. Seeing old friends and making new ones
2. Doing a tournament of dance dance revolution
3. Shaking it in the rave
4. Sharing a laughing in the hospitality suite and afternoon tea
5. Collecting more MLP merch for your pile at home.
6. Attending meet-ups
This brings us to the next topic. As most of you know, a young man by the name of Michael Morones is fighting for his life due to the pressures of bullying because he is a brony. So I would like to get everypony together for a meet up during the con. Why? Well here goes!

b) I would like to do some videos talking about the serious effects of bullying, us as a group singing songs from the show, and maybe a few fans showing off their artwork dedicated to Michael.
I have not worked out the day for the meet-up since it's early enough but please check for updates.

Like everyone else, I am deeply looking forward to attending FWA. No not as a staff this time but as a regular guest doing most of the panels. I might see if I can help Kiwi in the hospitality suite some since she could always use a hand in the matter. The biggest one right now is that I am seeking a place to crash during the con. The main reason is because I live a half an hour outside of metropolis by way of public transit. It stops running after 1:00 AM. I like to stay at FWA late at night either dancing in the clubs or socializing with other furries.
It does not have to be in a hotel, if someone has a place nearby with access to public transit, I am all ears. If not, I am happy to contribute drinks, snacks and food to the room if you let me stay with you. Yes if you have space on your floor, I am fine with that.

I like to stay at FWA late at night either dancing in the clubs or socializing with other furries.
It does not have to be in a hotel, if someone has a place nearby with access to public transit, I am all ears. If not, I am happy to contribute drinks, snacks and food to the room if you let me stay with you. Yes if you have space on your floor, I am fine with that.

Posted 12 years agoTomorrow is the day that we start setting up for Furry Weekend Atlanta and while it has been a year since the last FWA, I am surprised. I thought I would be excited about this weekend when it turns out that I am as nervous as can be. This is because I will be serving on the staff this year and I don't know what all this entitles. I really hope that I will not be worked to death. Meanwhile I am running around like crazy trying to get everything right and everything I need. To be honest, this feeling is a royal pain in the tuchus.\

I must admit that this has to be the most awkward journal that I have written next to writing my last one which was nearly a year ago. Anyway, so much has changed since now and then as I have two jobs. One of which I work for a Commercial Real Estate firm making calls for two brokers and the other involves independent contract work as an Independent AVON sales rep. This brings me to the meat of this journal.
As a sales rep, my job is to point my online e-store to as many networks as I can. This is since my web store offers so many different cool features with today's latest technology.
1. My store is open 24 hrs a day and 7 days a week
2. You get direct delivery
3. No hassle of meeting me in person to pay me for your items, you can pay and the money goes directly to AVON
4. We take accept all major credit cards and paypal
5. Free shipping
6. Products just are not for her but for him as well

Posted 13 years agoIn case you are wondering why I said that, it was because I chose to stumble upon a forum for other MLP fans such as myself. Upon registering, I found out that I could not upload my avatar until I posted at least 5 different posts. Before that, I was considered a blank flank. So, I posted a least five or six noticeable posts and earned my place in the forums or as Derpy states, a"Muffin."
