So since writing my last journal, nothing has changed with YouTube. Both my YouTube audience and my view count has doubled in the last 2 months, and has quadrupled in the last 3 months. I'm currently at 820,000 views which translates to between $800-$950. I can't call them to fix it because they told me to only contact them through their "appeal form", which they don't even fucking read since I get the same automated response every time. I'm unable to join a network, I'm unable to use AdSense, it's just a mess.

Patreon is REALLY helping me with buying new equipment. I bought a new tripod and a new SD card and I'm still needing to buy some lighting, but I'm looking into what will be the best lighting for me to get. If I ever get my YouTube ads fixed, I'll probably end my Patreon once I get with a network and feel safe. As much as Patreon helps, I'd much rather use AdSense because I kind of feel guilty with Patreon (plus the rewards are hard to keep up with).

I really don't know what to do at this point. Everything I've tried has failed. I want it fixed. But I honestly don't think I'll ever get it fixed. And because of this I am going to continue to put my non-furry channel first.

It's not all about the money, but think about this from an artists point of view. An artist might work really hard on a comic, and then sell it online, and ask for donations along the way. It's ok for them to do that because they worked hard on it and make it something they are proud to be selling, and some artists do that as a career. It's kind of the same for furry YouTubers (except it's impractical as a career, but is practical as a profitable hobby). Furry Youtube is becoming a bigger deal in the last few months and I just find it unfair that I have this restriction.

Nearing 20,000 subscribers, its too late to switch channels. It's not even worth it to me. I want my channel fixed. I don't want to have to start over.

I know some people are going to think I only care about the money, and I do care about money because I should have the option to make some, but I don't; but the money isn't all I care about. If it were, I wouldn't still be making furry videos. I'm sure if most other people were in my situation, they would feel the same way as me.

This isn't really an update. It's more me just being frustrated and upset.

ok, so basically, I started posting frequently on my furry youtube channel on October 15th. On October 12th, YouTube disabled all my features. At first, I didn't notice, cause if I would have noticed, I would have made a new channel immediately. Since October, I've gotten about 480,000 views, which translates to about $500 (give or take), but since youtube disabled all my features including AdSense, I wasn't able to profit.

My first video from my "frequent videos" was my "Reading Furry Hate on Reddit" video, which got 50,000 views. I know that this video along with my "Help! My Kids A Furry" video are the reason for my youtube success so far, and if I were to make a new channel now, I would lose that. Starting over doesn't seem like a practical option at this point, and it's against YouTube's terms of service to make a new account in order to use AdSense.

Anyway, so heres where the story gets interesting. On my comedy channel, these features are NOT disabled because it is completely separate from my furry channel. In November, Google reached out to me by assigning me a YouTube manager who would be available to help me with anything I need. I avoided contacting her about my furry channel right away because I wanted to get a little more comfortable with her.

A few days ago, I asked her about my furry channel and asked why it has been disabled, then out of nowhere, she dropped me. So now I don't have a manager lol.

Adding on to that, YouTube has a service where if you get more than 15,000 hours of watch time on your videos in a 90 day period, then you can get email support with a Google employee. My furry channel gets over 17,000 hours, but YouTube still won't offer me email support.

YouTube allows for me to send in "appeals" to get my features back, but in the appeals we have to answer questions like "did you violate any terms" and "what do you think caused the system to disable your features"

I literally have no idea why my features were disabled, so I said it was by error. YouTube didn't like that answer. After the appeal, they replied with a "fuck you" basically. And now, every time I send an appeal, I get an almost immediate response saying I can't have the features, but with no reason why. They say they can't tell me why to "protect their systems."

I am completely convinced that my channel was either flagged by error, or sabotaged by a troll on 4chan or something. YouTube has a form I can fill out to report sabotage, but I'm unable to submit it because it's required that I have a working AdSense account to do so, which.....they disabled. (Kind of a flawed system)

So this is kind of the reason why I'm starting a Patreon page. I work very hard on my videos and having an additional source of income that branches off my videos would allow me to buy new and better equipment so I can make even better videos and further my experience with film and cameras (since I am a Film major).

I see artists doing Patreon, so me doing it would be no different.

I'm not really expecting a lot of people to donate, but even if a few people do, It will still help me a lot :) Thanks for reading!

Today I decided I was gonna go to an Anime club on campus. All of college so far I haven't been able to make any friends so I thought this might be my opportunity. So anyway, when I got to the building where the club was, they had already started and the doors were closed and I was too scared to walk in late, so I left. I wasted my time. I could have gone home at 2 but instead I waited on campus doing nothing productive until 6:30 (the time I thought the club started. It starts at 6 I guess). idk. I just wanted to cry so much. I hate living on campus.

I honestly don't think I will make friends on campus. I do have lots of friends off campus and all, but I really need to find someone on campus who I can hang out with, but it's so hard. Everyone always says "just make friends" but I can't. I just can't. It doesn't come as easy to me as it might to some other people. I can't even have a conversation with my roommate without feeling anxious. idk.

Sorry I've been ranting about this stuff so much on here and on twitter, but I just need to get it out somehow. Thanks to everyone who has been there for me.

Hiya, I've ranted about this everywhere except here, so it's time.

College is poop. My dad made me live in the dorms even though I am 20 minutes away (with no traffic) from my college and lemme tell you... I hate the dorms. It's horrible being away from my old friends and being trapped here all the time. I don't really feel comfortable here. I honestly feel trapped. I wish I could have commuted.

I told my mom that I hate it and she told me I can commute next semester... of course I have to wait 3 months until the semester is over...

I told my dad and he told me "just make some friends" and this honestly upset me. He thinks that since he enjoyed living on campus that EVERYONE will enjoy it. But I don't. I'm anxious 24/7 because everywhere I go, it's a social situation. I can't even lay in bed without being forced to socialize and it honestly gives me so much anxiety. I'm never alone. I'M NEVER FUCKING ALONE. Yet I feel so alone.

A lot of people I've ranted to this about don't get it. They just tell me to be more social, but I honestly can't. It's so hard for me to make friends. Nobody understands.

I want to commute to college. I don't like having my entire life be college. I don't like being trapped at college. It's not even easy for me to leave because my car is a 45 minute walk from my dorm and the buses are a nightmare. This was a mistake. It was all a mistake.

On the bright side, I like my classes. I like everything about college except for living in a dorm. If I was living off-campus, I would love college!

That being said, been feeling a little down these past few days. A good friends mother died and I've just been feeling kind of weird about it. Life is so precious and anything can happen. It also kind of worries me, like, people close to you could die any day. It's really scary.

I'm going to the calling hours tomorrow and I'm a little nervous. I haven't been to any kind of calling hours since I was a kid. But I really want to support my friend and help her gain strength through her tragic loss. She's too much of a gem to be feeling so weak. I hope she gains strength back soon.

I think I'm just gonna do everything on this account. Just seems easier. Is there a way to delete your old furaffinities? If not I'll just abandon them. What do you guys think?
