It's time to end the last day of summer with our very big announcement. Come Christmas Day [25 December], Sumotendo will officially sign up for BlueSky Social! Because of the ongoing events surrounding Twitter's ownership of Melon Husk (Please don't bother who the real name is) and talented artists either retiring from Twitter or migrating to other social media platforms, we made a rightful decision of not being associated with these events. What are the chances of going in effect?

1. Fur Affinity won't go away, but Twitter will. - While Sumotendo remains as a family friendly account dedicated to sumo wrestling moves and techniques while being fully supportive on commissioned artworks made by real human artists, our Fur Affinity account will remain alive to ensure every sumo wrestler lover out there will enjoy everything there is. As for Twitter, it will be deactivated on 31 December. We sincerely apologize if anything happens. Make sure you save a serious amount of memories there before it goes away!

2. Commissions will be paid until it's needed - So far, only a couple drawings were made by those who enjoy sumo wrestling. Today, thanks to the miracle of BlueSky's successful attempt of bringing GIFs and video features into the app, Sumotendo will proudly support this move that is mainly similar to one of our followers who recently retired in January 2024. We can't say who, but we know for certain they're enjoying their new home.

3. Keeping everything to ourselves - Sumotendo is not an exploit driven account; we don't seek out attention nor do we go out in public making nonsensical comments to artists. That's why, in response to saving up tons of money, we intend to keep everything to ourselves without making boisterous appearances or starting flame wars. That is our guarantee to you.

Hello, fellow sumo loving Earthlings. It is I, Butterball, lead founder of Sumotendo. We have a very important announcement to make.

On 3 December 2023, my adopted brothers Snowball and Gumball and I will be leaving The Land of Desserts to become fully rehired at Nintendo headquarters. It has been a privilage for us to serve as your guide, and to see people take the time to enjoy ourselves with a realistic chat.

What will happen during our permanent departure from Sumotendo?

• Effective on 3 December 2023, our loyal co-founders Dr. Kongmallow Hipporangapotatanamus and the Almighty Leon will oversee the future of this account, where they will carefully manage the existence of our profile until new commissions are fully paid with greater results.
• Due to the immense resurgance of Pikmin (no pun intended) with the successful launch of Pikmin 3 on Nintendo Switch and again with Pikmin 4 because of so much details put together, we've made the decision of not continuing business with Sumotendo. If you'd like to share your comments, now's the time to do so before the date occurs.
• Other newcomers such as the Reptile Bros. [Grovy Kong and Sceppy Kong] and the Laidback Duo will not be affected by this, as they wish to remain at the Land of Desserts while continuing the tradition of both sumo wrestling and Kung-Fu action.

We all know that there isn't enough fat art regarding the existence of more Pikmin despite how the series regained so much love again with the real inclusion of 3 and 4. Thankfully, the former was cured over the powerful removal of motion controls, in which the gimmick has become irrelevant to this day thanks to hardcore gamers who managed to strike up a chance by rejecting them. Buttons and sticks all the way!

With that said, we thank you so much on this five year journey to help us regain our jobs back. And until Nintendo decides to revive poor King K. Rool back to the roots again who will one day make our beloved doctor smile once more, we'll see you in the stars. It has been an honor serving you with greater stregths.

Following the sausage's takeover bid of Twitter, many talented artists (including those who admire sumo wrestling heavyweights) have been offended and endangered. But that won't stop better alternatives from the likes of Discord! And that's where we come in to chat and communicate with those who admire giant bellies and powerful muscles.
