$15 Bust Sketches OPEN
General | Posted a year agoBeen wanting to get some more practice in with different characters, so I thought I would offer some bust sketches at a discount! I’ll keep this open until I feel the queue is full.
Looking at a 3 day turnaround on these once payment has been received. ToS applies otherwise. I’ll also take a couple of discounted half/full bodied if anyone is interested in those ($10 off my regularly listed price on the commissions tab). This is for simple sketches only, detailed sketches are their normal price.
Comment or note to claim.

TFF2024
General | Posted 2 years agoI'll be attending TFF again this year! Along with my emotional support best friend.
I'll be taking Marigold, so if you see me suiting around feel free to come and say hello.
That being said, I will not be taking commissions until I get back from Texas on the 19th. You're more than welcome to reach out about wanting one, but I will not accept payment until I'm back.

Commissions Closed and End of Year Update
General | Posted 2 years agoLikely through New Year's, I will be keeping my commissions closed and making some highly recommended changes to my Terms of Service.
As of right now, I do not plan on increasing prices for my Simple Sketches or Detailed Sketches. Detailed Linework will continue to be unavailable (to reiterate, detailed linework is the only kind of commission that I do hand-drawn backgrounds for and has been unavailable for quite some time). I also have no plans to return to offering animations.
I was very pleased with how the warm up sketches went over. I plan on offering those again next month. That being said, there will be a price increase on them and I will be limiting my queue to avoid them piling up.
As for personal updates, I am very glad to have been able to return to drawing. Furry art and going to cons has been a huge relief to me. I love this community and I love being able to participate both online and in person. We currently have plans to return to Furry Fiesta next year so keep an eye out for Marigold, Gangrene, and, hopefully, Mairead (unfortunately, the suit has been delayed). I have another suit that I am working on, but I don't know when she will be ready for any kind of debut.
In my professional life, I've gone from being an apprentice to a fully licensed director and embalmer. I love what I do and that I am able to work in and for the community I was raised in, but things have been extremely busy for the last few months. My responsibilities have increased as well as the independence I have. I will be honest, this last week has been incredibly difficult and, without going into detail, I've hit my breaking point and have yet another case that has followed me home. Today is also the day that I lost Posy, so Christmas time tends to always put me in a funk. I'm honestly just ready for the holidays to be over.
I've been very bad at replying to comments and messages, but I hope that everyone knows that I do read each one and I am grateful for the kind words. It means a lot to me that people enjoy my art and that my commissioners trust me to draw their characters. That kindness motivates me to draw more and strive to improve.
Blessed Yule, Merry Christmas, and I hope next year is kind to all of us.

Furry Fiesta
General | Posted 3 years agoHey, all, I do still exist! I’ve just been spending every waking moment at work, including a lot of midnight cases. I’m hoping things have started to wind down.
I’ll be attending TFF as my first con, so come say hi if you see Marigold! I’m bringing my emotional support best friend, too :) If the con goes well, I hope to attend more in the future. I’ve already started inquiring about getting a Mai suit made, so I’m hopeful this con is only the first of many.
General updates: I do not anticipate opening commissions again for a while. I just can’t commit to deadlines when my work changes on a dime and I’m pulling 10-15hr days. I barely even have the energy to draw for myself these days and the main reason for it won’t be changing any time soon. I still have a long way to go before I can do a full embalming on my own that’s up to my preceptor’s standards, so I work by his schedule at night and my director’s schedule by day. But!! I’m in my last month of apprenticeship so I’ll be a fully licensed professional before summer. It’s very exciting.
Thanks to everyone for being patient. I want to get back to sharing art and chatting again, but it seems like I keep accidentally ghosting when we get hit with a rush. It’s never intentional and I’m hoping to find some kind of work life balance once I’ve got the licensure out of the way.

Commissions Closing Next Week
General | Posted 3 years agoI plan to close my commissions when I return from my trip next Monday (11/14). I do not expect to reopen until next year, so if you've been wanting something from me, shoot me a note or DM before then. I do not anticipate any price raises next year, but in the same breath I also don't anticipate opening very often.
In the meantime, if I get rare free time I may open for select commission types or toss out a YCH.
Just wanted to give everyone a heads up!

Moving Soon!
General | Posted 3 years agoJust wanted to give you all a heads up that I will be moving next week. I do not plan to re-open any commission slots until I am settled in and response times may suffer a little during that time.
The moving company had an opening much earlier than I expected, so I grabbed it and put my deposit down. The difficult part won't be the packing, it's figuring out how I'm going to move the girls. My cat doesn't really like anyone aside from myself an a couple of friends, so she's going to hate me for a few days no matter what I do lol.
I'm not sure how streaming will work when I'm back at my dad's house. The WiFi is always kind of weird, so they may go back to being far and few between. I'll figure it out!
Thanks all!

(Mostly) Back!
General | Posted 3 years agoHello all and thanks for your patience!
The university dropped the ball on my scheduling, so it ended up being the full three weeks for my on-campus requirements. However, I'm happy to say that I've passed my finals and am done with the school curriculum! I received my cremation certificate in the mail today, so I am now legally able to operate crematory equipment...which is really not relevant because the home I work at outsources. I have also passed the first of the two national board exams and will be taking the second next week.
Tomorrow I start back at the funeral home I work at. You've all probably noticed I'm getting more active on my accounts recently and I'm glad to have time to draw again. I'm still resting in my off-hours because it was non-stop the past three weeks, so I'm mostly just doing lazy sketches.
I've mentioned it on my Twitter, but I'll repeat here, too. I do not expect commissions to open up until June at the earliest. I just don't have the time or energy at the moment and I've got a move to figure out next month. If anything opens up in the meantime, it'll probably be YCHs. When my commissions do reopen, I will be keeping prices the same.
I look forward to being able to share more art with you all!

Gone Fishing (at clinicals for the month of April!)
General | Posted 3 years agoHello all!
Just letting you all know that commissions are officially closed again and will likely not re-open for some time. Starting April 3rd, the busiest month of my schooling begins and I will be shipped out to the funeral home that I will be doing my clinicals at. At the same time, I will have three straight mornings of exams and one week to complete sculpting of a human head. During this time, I will also be fitting in my practicum (I need to participate in five specific types of services).
What I know currently is that it is supposedly possible to finish everything in two weeks, so I have resolved to have the most hellish two weeks of my life to complete everything as soon as possible. Then I can spend the second half of the month on practicum, studying for finals, and studying and arranging to take the National Board Exam.
I've already been somewhat difficult to contact these past few weeks and it's going to get much more difficult for this month, unfortunately. I don't anticipate having much free time at all, so likely no streaming and my gallery may not get many updates aside from the rare sketch.
Until I get through April, I won't know what my May will look like, so I can't give an ETA on when I will return fully or when commissions may re-open (fair warning, I don't anticipate them reopening until June or July at the earliest).
I appreciate your patience as I go through this stage and look forward to being active again!

Commissions Closing in April
General | Posted 4 years agoHello all!
As some of you may know, I am currently in my last semester of mortuary school! It's been a rough journey, especially since I'm doing the dual-degree program, but I'm happy to have the end in sight! However, as the semester nears the end, I am very close to doing my clinicals and practicum, which require me to perform eleven cases and arrange a full funeral service. This, and my RA lab, all takes place in April and has been estimated to be around three weeks long. Because of that, I will be closing commissions for the entire month and likely into May, as I will be taking my licensure exam.
Those that follow me on Twitter will know that I recently got recommended and interviewed for an apprenticeship in my hometown! They offered me the position and, once I check about benefits for going full-time, I plan to formally accept the job. So far it seems like it will not be the typical on-call/working late nights (the home actually pays a removal service, so a lot of the rougher parts of the job are already taken care of with this home) and I anticipate being able to open commissions again once I get settled in.
So we are looking at commissions being closed potentially for around two months starting in April. Should the job work out, I expect to close commissions around the holidays and for a month at a time fall-spring (December and January are very busy at the home I've been told).
Currently, I do not anticipate raising prices during the hiatus like I have in the past. I am currently satisfied with my pricing and plan for it to stay the same for the year.
So! That being said! This is the last month to get a commission from me likely until summer. I will stop accepting commissions likely in the last week of March. Just wanted to keep everyone updated!

Commissions Closed for the Remainder of 2021
General | Posted 4 years agoHello,
I apologize for my sudden and extended absence. Last Christmas Eve I lost someone very dear to me and had not expected that grief to hit me so early. I've been struggling to get over my losses since then, but it has been very difficult and drawing has been extremely difficult.
Because of this, I will closing my commissions for the remainder of the year and will open them when I am properly able to fulfill them. I will also be announcing the winner of the giveaway at that time. I am so sorry for how long it's been dragged out, but I don't feel right announcing a winner and then asking them to wait for even longer before I begin work.
Thank you all for your patience and understanding. I've never dealt with this kind of thing before so it's all blindsided me pretty hard. I've lost a lot of things that I care about since last Christmas Eve and I'm still trying to figure out how to live without them. The holidays just kind of make their absences even more noticeable.
One of my professors, a man that has worked in the industry for longer than I have been alive, said that grief is love with nowhere to go. It hurts a lot because the love and energy you've been putting into the deceased no longer has anywhere to go. The way that you work through that is to find new things to allocate those resources toward. I think that I'm still looking for those things.
For now, I am going to try and get myself in order. I'm going to do my best not to totally vanish, but I don't think I will be posting very often.
Thank you for your patience and understanding. I hope the holidays are kind to you.

Commission Pricing and TOS Updates Coming
General | Posted 4 years agoJust wanted to give everyone a heads up that in December I will be updating the commissions I offer as well as pricing and ToS! Prices are estimated to increase about $5 as of right now. ToS changes will mostly be for turnaround time and limiting what is offered for in-stream commissions. I also plan on implementing a commission slot tracker either as a journal or included in my profile info.
As with before, any commission ordered before December 1, 2021 will be the current prices and terms. Anything ordered on the 1st or after will be subject to the new changes.
Also a heads up for next spring: I will likely be limiting how many commissions I take. My clinicals will be in the spring as well as my licensure exam. Since I will be working on real cases, I will not have as much time for drawing. I am not sure what next year looks like for commissions from me, as I will also be beginning my apprenticeship. I figured I would go ahead and give a distant warning for that!
Don't forget to check out the giveaway in my featured journal! Thanks for reading!

Check Out This Artist!
General | Posted 4 years agoUpdates
General | Posted 4 years agoThank you all so much! I reached 100 watchers today and I couldn't be happier! I never expected my art to be something that other people like. I share my characters and art because they make me happy, so I thought it would be nice to upload them here so other people may also enjoy them. It's been a huge confidence boost these last few days and I've grown a lot as an artist since I joined FA. I have a long way to go, though!
The 100 watcher art giveaway will also be a raffle. As midterms are going on right now, I won't be making the journal for it until I've made it past most of the exams. So look for it later this month! I'll probably keep it open for two or three weeks.
In other news, I've been considering raising my prices later this year. It would be in November or early December and it's looking like prices may increase by $5 each. I will also be officially removing animations as an option all together--the old program I used is no longer feasible and I have yet to figure out how to animate in my current program. When I'm more sure of when I will raise them, I'll make a journal giving a month's notice in case anyone would like to take advantage of current rates.
Lastly, I'm also linking my for sale folder in Toyhouse: https://toyhou.se/SundayBest/charac.....older:2001236. Eventually I want to make more adopt designs, but I haven't come up with anything I'm that proud of recently.
Thank you all again and I hope that you continue to enjoy my journey to being a better artist!

$5 Equine Headshot Sale
General | Posted 4 years agoHey, all! I'm wanting to get some practice with drawing horses, so I'm currently offering a feral equine headshot sale. The style will be similar to this: https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43855848/. There will be a week turnaround on these. Color, shading, and simple background are included.
This is limited to equines only. Horns do not cost extra. Feel free to suggest expressions or poses, otherwise it will be creative freedom.
I'll keep these open as long as I feel like doing them, so as long as this journal is up the offer is open.
The cost is a flat $5 to be paid upfront via PayPal.
Thanks!

Pupdate, a Puppy Update!
General | Posted 4 years agoThank you to everyone who sent well wishes for Bernie's emergency surgery and recovery. I got her back the next day and she got her appetite back the day after that. As of today, her stitches have begun to heal and her energy is getting back up to where it used to be. It was rough last week, but now we are on the final stretch of recovery. She only has her antibiotics left and in another week the vet has said she can go out and play again.
I'm hoping to start streams again and I think that in-stream commissions will be reopened, though they will have a working deadline now so I don't stay up super late. I'm still figuring out the details.
Thanks for all of the support and patience, it's been one of the more stressful moments in my life and I'm happy that she's going to be okay.

Update
General | Posted 4 years agoHey all, I thought I would give a little update about the short term future.
Yesterday, I woke up to my dog throwing up and unwilling to eat or drink anything I offered her. It was canning day at my dad's house for the pears we picked, so I went ahead and brought her with me thinking it was just a bug or she ate something bad on Sunday. Instead, she just kept vomiting anything she ate or drank shortly after it was ingested. Around noon, she didn't even try to eat and was just laying in her bed in the kitchen while we canned.
Anyone who knows me irl knows that Bernadette is the most hyperactive and friendly dog in the world. She's always jumping and playing, so seeing her in such a bad state was very worrying. However, I still thought that she was just sick/ate some bad food and would be fine in a day. I've grown up with dogs all my life, but she's my first puppy and multiple times since I've had her I've overreacted thinking that she was not okay. After I lost Oma and the geckos this year, I've been a nervous wreck with my girls. Since I already had an appointment scheduled with the family vet this morning, I decided that I would stay the night with her at my dad's so she could rest and not be moved around too much (my apartment is over 30 minutes from the vet and his house is only 10).
She did not sleep well last night and, consequently, neither did I. The longest we slept was from 4 am to 7 am when she woke me up and finally fell asleep somewhat deeply when I held her. She hasn't really wanted to be cuddled to sleep like that since she was a baby.
At the vet this morning, she had an x-ray done that revealed a circular obstruction in her stomach. She was taken back and went into surgery at 3:45 this afternoon (so I'm waiting for them to call me when it's over). They won't know how much damage has been done to her stomach until it's cut open or what the obstruction is until they're taking it out. I may get her back tomorrow or the day after depending on the outcome. It's likely going to be very expensive and the recovery may last over a month, which causes plenty of problems in and of itself. I've already called off my birthday dinner this week because 1) I really don't feel like celebrating when she's this sick and 2) When I get her back I don't want to leave her by herself for any extended amount of time.
I'm not sure what the outcome of the surgery will be, but depending on how recovery goes I may not be able to draw as often. Commissions shouldn't be affected and, if they are, it will be a temporary suspension of in-stream ones. It kind of goes without saying, but if I'm more absent on my FA and Twitter this is why.
My animals are my life. They're my family and my source of pride. I lost four of them in the past year and all four of those were suddenly and nothing I could do to help them even after we got to the vet. It's been traumatic and Bernie has been a breath of fresh air in my life since I got her this May. So during this time I'm putting the majority of my time and energy into helping her recover from this.
I just wanted to let you all know in case I miss responding to comments here and there or you wonder why my art output suddenly decreases. Thank you for understanding.

Garden Portrait Sale Ending 8/30
General | Posted 4 years agoJust letting everyone know that I've decided on an end date for the garden portrait sale! This means that I will no longer offer the option for garden portrait commissions after 8/30.
I do plan to bring this sale back in the future, but right now I am only comfortable running it during my break from semesters since it has such a short turnaround time.

Interest Check
General | Posted 4 years agoWould anyone be interested if I offered commissions like these https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43194158/, https://www.furaffinity.net/view/43193677/ for $10 a piece? They would be done on stream and have a quick turnaround. I would probably start work on them this weekend once finals are done and have a 1-2 day turnaround.
I don't know that I would offer them long term, so they may just be a two week thing. If anyone would like one, please comment or note me. If you'd prefer a certain flower or outfit, please include that as well.

No longer offering emotes or other streaming tools
General | Posted 4 years agoI've had about a month or so to think about it and I do not plan to do any more work for streamers in the foreseeable future after having an emote traced and used for a logo by the same person that commissioned it (for the record, I charge much more for logos than emotes). It was kind of a slap in the face to see it and it has really bothered me as an artist. I suppose tracing and stealing happens, but this is my first experience with it. So I guess this is why people have blacklists.
I did show it and my original emote to friends and there was a unanimous opinion that the art was in fact either (poorly) traced or my art was very closely copied. All of this was without my permission.
I do not plan to publicly call out the client, as they were not part of this community, but it has left a very sour taste in my mouth in regards to working for streamers. I do truly enjoy making little overlays and I still plan to make them for myself and my close friends for our streams, but I no longer want to offer them as a commission option for strangers.
If I make a drawing for you that you like, just let me know before it goes up if it will be an overlay. However, under no circumstance do I want it used as an emote or logo. Also, just don't be a dick and don't trace my shit. It really doesn't feel great at all to see it.
