Hope everyone has a safe and happy holiday. Personally this is our first thanksgiving with WhiteLion and so we have a lot to figure out now as we build our new family traditions with some of his favorites from the islands and some of the things us northerners like. One thing for sure is lots of pumpkin pies shall be sacrificed ;) .

Now to hurry and finish here at work and get the last few items to begin the cooking frenzy.

HAPPY TURKEY DAY!!!

Well..seems I have to get more MRIs and more neurosurgery consults...ugh
This past few days has been very uncomfortable at best physically...and that is not something I am used to or happy about. But at this point , I am trying to seek less invasive treatment and trying to fight with my insurance company to cover it because I do not want anyone cutting my spinal column!!!!! The risk is just not worth it to me when there are some alternatives to use first. I do wish that US health insurances would start covering acupuncture because I already know it would help me relieve pain and help me avoid so much medication. Too bad I can't do it for myself...

Anyways...looking forward to Thanksgiving with my cubs and Lion..his first Turkey Day here with us..YAY...there shall be much gobbling and pumpkin pies and cookies...
AND EFM bowling is this weekend so...YAY fun for all. And for me it will be an early B-day celebration with friends...so hmm..maybe I will have to think about a cake......

Well..thanks to the never ending procrastination and as far as I can tell sheer stupidity of he who shall go nameless..I am facing the loss of my business, and my and my cubs home ...and since a certain abusive moron who I must say most thankfully is no longer living with my cubs and I has unfortunately had part ownership of those things..I have been stuck unable to make any kind of arrangements to deal with the financial messes he left behind. So alas..I have taken this all as a sign that time has come to once again redirect my life.

All I can really say is that I truly hope karma will come around..and I am so very very thankful and grateful to my good friends and those who are "family" to me and the cubs..and especially to my beloved-now-husband WhiteLion who has taken on being a father to the cubs even though they are not his biological offspring, and who has shown that there still are some decent males out there who are actually honest and straight. ( no offense but I do dislike those who cannot actually be honest and truthful about what they are and deceive and lie because they are too chicken shit to deal with their reality..and then put others at risk by lying and cheating)

So ..I am working on old interests I had set aside long ago..and looking to find solace in those pursuits since I cannot change the damage the one who shall go nameless has done.

I hope to pursue my hobbies of old more now..and perhaps more will start showing up in my gallery.

Cooler weather is upon us and one of my favorite holidays..HALLOWEEN
so once again time to dig out decorations and go mutilate some poor innocent pumpkins in sacrifice to the Halloween spirits...*evil witch laugh inserted here*
This month is usually one of my favorites,,,so hopefully the rest of the stuff going on will stay at bay and all can enjoy the arrival of fall and the fun of Halloween.
Now if I can just get through the rest of these damn medical procedures with fewer migraines...gah...I HATE having migraines like this

Just some thoughts about trying to handle many complex issues. One has been really creating deep concern for me the past few months.
One of the more serious problems I am facing right now is actually dealing with managing the long term complications from the physical injuries I sustained last year from domestic violence. I do not want surgery that may leave me with certain limitations but it has been increasingly more difficult to work and be active with the increasing pain. I have located a specialist who has provided less invasive options, but...the costs are considerable and may be denied by my medical insurance. I have little choice really...I do not do well with the other medications..the side effects are not very pleasant.
So , so far I have undergone 2 procedures and have a few more to go to see if this helps.

I would just like to say..if you know someone who is facing constant pain, realize that they are dealing with something that takes a toll on them every day. And also, there are many who are suffering from things that cannot be cured or they cannot afford treatment for, and little things can often make them feel a little better each day in spirit..if not physically.

I personally am very lucky to have a kind understanding and supportive mate and friends.

The following was something a friend of mine sent to me ...because they know how often I face this with my profession almost everyday:
‎"I died today....You got tired of me and took me to the shelter. They were overcrowded and I drew an unlucky number. I am in a black plastic bag in a landfill now. Some other puppy will get the barely used leash you left. My collar was dirty and too small, but the lady took it off before she sent me to the Rainbow Bridge . Would I still be at home if I hadn’t chewed your shoe? I didn’t know what it was, but it was leather, and it was on the floor. I was just playing. You forgot to get puppy toys. Would I still be at home if I had been housebroken? Rubbing my nose in what I did only made me ashamed that I had to go at all. There are books and obedience teachers that would have taught you how to teach me to go to the door. Would I still be at home if I hadn’t brought fleas into the house? Without anti-flea medicine, I couldn’t get them off of me after you left me in the yard for days. Would I still be at home if I hadn’t barked? I was only saying, “I’m scared, I’m lonely, I’m here, I’m here! I want to be your best friend.” Would I still be at home if I had made you happy? Hitting me didn’t make me learn how. Would I still be at home if you had taken the time to care for me and to teach manners to me? You didn’t pay attention to me after the first week or so, but I spent all my time waiting for you to love me. I died today. Love, Your Puppy" ... Please forward this to everyone, its time to stop animal abuse copy and paste this if you are an animal lover.

Unfortunately with what I do as a profession I see this type of scenario way too often. Those who are my friends know I and Lion and the cubs have a very large furry/scaly/feathery family and we take our obligation to our critter family as being important.
I just wanted to pass this along and ask everyone to think about what it really means to share your life with another being...

Well with the torrential rain Friday D'ym felt we should postpone the Ren Faire trip today..sadly.

Bowling today...YAY

Labor Day weekend has come and gone...overall a fairly pleasant time.
Our friend Yggy came to spend the weekend...hehe..I think we are his home away from home at times.
Saturday night we all went with Huttser in tow to go out to the Glow Bowl with GreyWolf and friends for his bday..that was fun..though my knee did tell me it was getting tired after a while.

I got the commisions I had ordered and had some time to post them...YAY

Got to sketch some horses while my little one was getting her riding lesson...have to work on getting better sketchbook...

Monday was toooooo rainy for the Ren Faire
Anyways..now starts all the various appointments and such, and luckily we have some things planned to try to relax and forget the stresses on the weekends this month.

SO Irene has come and gone...and no major issues here for us or back in the islands for Lion's family...the gods of nature have smiled upon us.
But we did put off any idea of doing something for Lion's Birthday since we didn't want any risks for anyone.
Although we have to deal with a bunch of human made hurricanes this week...(ugh stupid created drama crap thanks to he who shall not be named) we have a long weekend ahaead and are really hoping to do something perhaps with nearby friends...(well rand and rux..you all are too far and we cant teleport yet)
SO..still working on photo stuff...and some drawings for some things I have in mind...
Now if I can recommandeer my tablet laptop back from the kids...

I have found an easy way to readjust my HD photos and am converting some for sharing here on my FA page. Since they limit how many you can post a day I am probably going to have to post others in an album on my other pages...

Some may know that my real life profession is that of being a veterinarian..yes sir bubba I am an animal doctor and spend every day of my life basically dealing with all sorts of critters. Often I am faced with situations that are difficult and where I must set aside my personal ideas and wishes and do what an animal's owner is asking ... it isn't always about what I can or cannot do..sometimes it is about circumstances and finances.
Anyways...a kind-hearted client brought in a stray cat she had taken in a few weeks ago...and unfortunately when we completed his physical and screening tests we found he was infected with FIV...which is the feline version of AIDS. This presented a dilemma...the client had other housecats so this one was a risk to them. FIV positive cats are hard to adopt out and find good homes for generally. And this was an adult cat..at least a few years old and had apparently been someone's pet at one point but had been dumped out in farmland. He was a nice gentle cat..so now what to do...
It happened to be that a rather elderly client of mine had recently lost her elderly ornery cat, and I knew she missed him very much...she is widowed and lives alone with no family nearby. It seemed as if perhaps this stray kitty had come along at a point where there just happened to be someone who might be a good fit for a cat needing a special home with no other kitties. So I decided to offer to take the cat and get him groomed and cleaned up some and then take him to meet my elderly client and see if maybe this fellow might find a place serving her need for a companion and his need for a home. And like the last thing Lion and I needed was another cat to care for...but we just felt like we should try...
Turns out the kitty fits her needs well and now he has a new home and she has a new friend and my good Samaritan client doesn't feel badly about not keeping him and I hope that the karma fairies will smile kindly upon me and Lion for trying to do the right thing. Way too often I seem to try to do a good deed which of course always is followed with some bizarre "punishment". Somewhere along the line karma has to be good.

It seems that I did not realize that my digital camera photos were in such high definition settings that they take up waaaay more mb than my others did. Luckily I have the programs to convert without losing too much quality but I forgot I had set up the high def mode on it.....OOPSIES
so maybe this weekend after the Delaware Furbowl I will work on converting things and load some more

besides I have lots of my old art stuff to scan eventually too
I need a few days of just not thinking about the many other stresses so maybe this will help

okay..I totally fail to understand what the issue is now...I have been trying since yesterday and STILL cannot upload any of my photos
now I havent gotten any notices so what is the issue now?

well I have made the discovery that I am only allowed to submit a certain number of photos at once here on FA...gah...which kinda sucks because when I get a chunk of time to sit and do that I usually want to try to do as many as I can while the world around me is allowing me that lull.
Alas..the obstacles of some things...
so maybe I will need to use my other accounts to get them all in somewhere so I can then just move them over here bit by bit...piece by piece....

and a grand time was had by all

SO its August 13th and today is the EFM bowling day...YAY!!!
Many of my and Lion's furry friends will all be along so this should be a fun day. I am hoping to get to test out my camera a bit .more and get back into the swing of photography ....so the crew is going to have to put up with me playing photographer.
Now...I just have to figure out how to turn my poor Ford Explorer into a small bus....

Okay so this week has been...bizarre to say the least. Are there extreme sun flares going on or WTF?
I have gotten used to the crazed crap and insanity in my life ...but DO NOT want to ever be like some people's parents are-its just beyond any rationale explanation.
I don't want to get into naming anyone...but at this point in time.with the combination of the BS I am putting up with directly and now what some friends are going through the past week or two...this country is freakin NUTS!
I do not understand how the truly harmful things are allowed to happen by whatever powers guide the universe.

The friends I am thinking of...well guys you know how to reach me and you know that Lion and I will try to be there for you as best as we can given what I am facing too. Maybe in being there for each other we will all weather the storms intact...not unscathed mind you but survive intact. I think a key thing is to learn what we can from these trials and tribulations as the saying goes.
AND..perhaps find that the relief comes from having friends and interests that are not harmful to anyone and can be shared.
Just the random thoughts of a kitty deep in thought.....

Much has happened in the past 3 years...and a lot of it has not been positive for me and my cubs. But in that time some very important close friends were found, and one in particular was there to tell me all would be okay.  whitelion242 AKA Lion always kept his promises and respected my efforts though they were futile with dealing with Kieryn and the downward spiral of my life with him.
Several months ago Lion made a decision to make major changes and sacrifices to his own life to come be with me and my cubs. I don't think either of us knew what to expect as he left his homeland and came here. Now it seems like this is where he belongs...that unlike someone else, he truly wants to be with me and my cubs and that is really what matters most of all in his life now it seems.
So as time has passed the cubs now are very attached and glad to have him as their stepdad and we are again feeling safe and happy -despite others ideas and prejudices. He has shown me what it really is to be with a mate who truly loves and cares. And that affection and love and compassion are to be expressed and shown everyday and that he appreciates having us as much as we appreciate having him.

We quietly made our commitment to each other and to be a family with our dearest friend  randerwolf with us.
As we are continuing to build up our new life and finding our new friends in the fur and non-fur world I just want to let him know how much he means to me and the cubs and that I am sure the new friends he has now also feel that too.

I realize its summer but Jeez!!!! I is a northerner and do not like temperatures over 100 degrees

Tomorrow is Anthrocon, and I am going to be going with my extended "family" and be with friends...
That means today is frantic preparing inbetween trying to do three days worth of work in one> Making arrangements for all the critters to be cared for and also finding all our stuff to take
And we need to make a short road trip to gather up the other members of our crew going with us.

Well I hope we all get to have a good weekend and a welcome break from the usual drudgery
