I was pondering a bit today
I so wish I had a good digital SLR camera so I could get back inrt doing photography as I used to. I still have my film camera and all my lenses but it seems so..."old school"
Ah well one can wish eh?

It is a beautiful weekend out so hope all get to enjoy it.

Well only a little over a week until Anthrocon..and also the chaos of summer has begun.
Being as I can use some stress relief..which is a long long story ...maybe some of the local crew would be interested in doing something this weekend.
ther could be...
1. Bowling? especially for those not going to AC from the EFM group
2. Movie? I think Green Lantern opens at the RC Reading this weekend
3. Swimming at my house? I decided to set up one of those easy-set pools and maybe that would be an option?
4. Other ideas? Minecraft party...Rockband>>>idk

I wish we could have all gone with the EFM group to the movie but weekdays are not good for such things.

Being as me and my little "pride" as it seems had fun last weekend we thought if anyone is interested maybe we could have a few friends over this Saturday evening.

So the first long weekend of summer is here.
Being as going places that cost money can put a strain on any of us...Lion and I and Rand thought we would suggest if any of those we know from the local group are interested...we could just do something simple at my farm. Perhaps after I get done working on Saturday or on Sunday.

maybe a picnic or cookout? Movies(we have a tone really...) games (we have all major game systems)...and of course...drawing time

Besides "Sparkles the Cavalier puppy" is armed with her new laminator and has been bugging me to make more badges *rolls eyes*

Anyways...feel free to just message me...this is not like a firm plan...but personally I think Sunday may be a good day for an afternoon of just chillin with some friends

So we all loved the IMAX version of the Pirates movie....well almost all....my littlest was scared by the vicious mermaids.
But all in all a fun movie.
Though we did all eat too much popcorn me thinks...

So Pirates of the Carribean opens tonight!!
Those who may be interested...I and the family are going to plan on going Friday for the 7pm IMAX showing in Reading PA. Let me know if you think you may wish to go...or just show up.

So ... now that I am getting a better feel for this kinda mediocre digital camera of mine...I am going to see what I can do about more photos to upload. ANd of course once I can get photoshop back on one of the computers..
I also will be scanning in some of the art we have been lucky to have and of course the junior badge factory has their works to contribute.
My beloved WHite Lion has fixed my scanner so now I just need some time and motivation...well mostly time

So this weekend is going to be a rather hectic one. I had to for once not work on Saturday at my practice so I could spend time with family stuff. YAY in a way.
This weekend is the Eastern Regional championships for the USARS inline speed skating teams...and my son who is doing thus for his first year is in the regionals. He competes in 6 races over the Saturday and Sunday of the championships so....roadtrip for us.

We are also going to try to go to the EFM bowling in Limerick on Saturday...though no late night this time for ussince back to the speed skating races on Sunday..


One thing that i am considering though is getting a GOOD camera out with some HIGH speeds so I can take decent photos this weekend.
now if I could just get things done here at work and get home tonight.....

Once again humankind is showing me just how low they can go...and I guess I should not be surprised really.
It seems that way too often in doing my job I try to do the more noble thing (which usually means doing something in the interest of an innocent critter) and try to take on the responsibility to do that hoping that my self-sacrifice will help the critter and at least give me some personal positiveness. And almost always it seems that some moronic waste of space on this planet human being turns around and causes me some sort of grief because they are not getting their own selfish and self-centered wants.
Humans are truly parasites at times.
People should not have pets they cannot care for.
And someone who is doing volunteer work for wildlife should not have to deal with such truly stupid people.

Well I was just randomly pondering many things in my life the other day...
I used to take so many photographs of so many things
I literally would go through rolls of film if I went on a trip.
And I realized I kinda gave that up while I was with my previous mate Kieryn Faol (notloh Pawpad..take your pick..same wolf)...not sure why other than his reaction and general lack of encouragement.
Granted photography is just an old hobby of mine but you know...I used to have a camera with me for lots of things.
Anyways.....I now am with people who seem to encourage my doing this for no reason other than I like to...so I think I will start just putting up my photos more just for fun. And who knows...maybe I will dig out the old archives...I travelled all over the US and have lots of photos...
Guess we shall see...
