So umm.. the past week I was having a dull ache in the top of the left side of my jaw as my wisdom tooth started coming through. That's alright, I could handle that. Then I woke up yesterday morning and bam, it felt like I'd been punched in the side of the mouth (I kinda wish I had), so I started to panic about thinking about going to the dentist (I most certainally am not able to afford to get my tooth pulled). Then, by some miracle a few people told me that I could go to Studylink (they're the one's who give me the money I use to pay my rent and for food. they also do my student loan) and ask them if they'd be able to pay for it.

So, I rang Studylink and made an appointment to see them tomorrow. I had to go to the dentist today to get a quote and they poked around and found a bunch of other problems which I need to get fixed too (although my wisdom tooth is the most painful and pressing of the issues). So hopefully tomorrow I find out if they'll pay for this or if I have to find the money to pay for both the extraction and today's consolation.

On another note... how is everyone?

Alright.. so I'm getting pretty close to my 4000th page view.. whoever gets it (or is closest if it isn't gotten) will get art of some sort (might a sketch, might be inks, might be full colour.. whatever I decide) of a character of their choosing...

A few months ago, my nanna was diagonsed with lung cancer and the doctors didn't give her very long to live. A few weeks ago, they discovered that the cancer had spread to her spine and that she also had bone cancer in her 3rd and 5th verberea. My dad rang me tonight to tell me that she passed away.

She was always a strong woman and stubborn in her belief that I would be a proper little girl (despite my protests) and even though I know she's in a better place now and without pain, I'll miss her greatly.

I just had it confirmed today that I did make the cut for the art festival/exhibition at the end of the month (26th to the 28th) and as such most of my art focus will be directed towards the peices that I am submitting to that as well as my school work. Commissions/trades will be done, but they will be slower, I'm really really sorry about that.

Also, as a side note, there will be prints available when I have completed the four elemental dragons (since they are what I am submitting to the exhibition). If you are interested in getting yourself a print, I shall be taking pre-orders around the 17th (since that's when they will be done by (i will post a journal for this closer to the time), but if you're interested, send me a note or leave a comment here. If you do want a print, i could possibly sign it too, but they'll be sent off after Sunday the 28th of March.

Ok.. I'm not sure how to word this well, so I'll try and explain from the beginning...

I'm a student, I study 2D animation, and to get buy I get a student allowance from the government. This helps to pay for my rent, food and so forth. I recieved a letter originally saying that I would be recieving $160 a week, and then the other day I recieved a letter stating that I wouldn't even be getting enough to pay my rent, let alone for food as well. To make matters worse, they stopped paying me over this summer a couple of weeks ago and didn't tell me so I never got the chance to save up the money for at least my first week's rent.

And because my week couldn't possibly be any better, my laptop charger died (borrowing mum's until I move).

I need at least $105 to cover my first week's rent + $60 for my charger cord and some basics of food.

Please help. I don't know what else to do. I've spent the last few hours on the phone with Studylink trying to get them to give me the money i'm entitled to (everyone who study's is entitled to $160 a week and they won't even give me that). Alright.. so.. life has been a little hetic for me lately. So I found out that I'm not getting paid when they said I would. My power cord for my laptop's dead and I can't afford to buy a new one (borrowing mum's until I move). Also means I can't pay my rent.. this can't get any worse.

How is everyone doing?

I'm doing alright (apart from a swollen finger from a bee sting yesterday afternoon). I just felt the urge to update and stuff.

I started a comic called Fox Fire (which can be found here). It's about a rip between the demon dimension and the world of Kaur and two mages and about four warriors/rangers who are set to try and close it, while rumors of invasion sweeps the land. I will try and update this regularily (as well as concept art and such).

Also, I'm almost at my 1500 kiriban. The person who catches this will get artings (not sure what, but will most likely be a fully coloured picture).

Lastly, I'm thinking of making Dreamcatchers. I'll be making Raknar one in the next couple of weeks or so (and will post pictures). So if anyone would be interested in a Dreamcatcher commission, let me know and if it turns out decent enough I might do some ^^

How is everyone and how'd your holidays go?

Mine was good. I hung out with family and on Christmas afternoon Raknar came and saw me and we hung out for a few days. He's coming back up for my birthday today as well. Yay!!

I passed the first year of the course that I am currently studying -and- I got into second year.

This past week (especially the weekend), I've been working my tail off for getting various assignments due before.. well today and it (and all the effort I've put in throughout the year) has ment that I managed to pass with reasonably decent results.

However, I'm still fairly broke, so I can't get a new tablet pen. I am however hoping I will get one for my birthday.

I think my tablet is offically dead, though I don't know for certain yet. I was wondering if anyone could help me with it.

I have a wacom bamboo tablet.

Earlier today I was working on colouring various pictures and it was working fine. I ducked out for some lunch and to pick up a friend and I came back and it wasn't working. I tried restarting my laptop several times, I even reinstalled the tablet drivers and it still doesn't work. I was wondering if anyone can help me out with this problem? Please?

Until I figure out how to fix it or until I get a new one (if my tablet can't be fixed), I will not be doing any digital colourings. I will still submit sketches and traditionally coloured things, but nothing digital. Sorry.

So, I went and saw Nickelback last night!!! WOOT!!! They was awesomes!!!

But an Aussie band 'Sick Puppies' was the opening band and they are awesomes as well. If you love rock/metal I strongly suggest that you check them out!

On a sadder note, my dog got put down on Friday. She just wasn't coping very well anymore and yeah my parents made the decision to put her down. She's in a better place I know, but still feeling a bit down and sad.



So my xbox 360 is not under warrenty any more and microsoft won't even look at it cause it was previously owned to when i got it (i brought it from EB Games so it was all refurbished and junk). Gonna open it up and see if we can fix it that way and if not, I'll definately be taking commissions to partially help pay for a new one, but also to help me pay for bills (I'm starting to struggle a bit to pay for my share and have been for a couple of months now).

So if anyone's interested, I'll take on a few commissions.

I came home this afternoon to discover that my xbox 360 had red ringed (damn you red ring of doom!!!!). I'm unsure if my parents will get me a new one for my birthday or christmas (gonna ask if i can't get it repaired) and if not, I'll probably buy a new one.

I'm so gutted right now. I paid for it out of my own money (took me freaken ages to save up too). So yeah..

If I do have to pay for one, I will take on some commissions to help pay for it and stuff.

If anyone is interested, I will take on about five or six fully coloured commissions at $10. Just let me know if you're interested and I will send you a note with my pay-pal and such. I will need a character description/ref.

On a side note: I start school again on Monday. Yay!!!

I'm sorry I've been lazy about posting art lately. I haven't been really drawing anything that I particularly like and haven't had much motivation to do some colouring, but I should hopefully post some stuff soon. But... life is good. The weather's getting warmer. yay!!! beachness soonish.. hopefully. I discovered I can draw sharks (okish) while they're swimming in a tank, yesterday.
