New addition to the family!
General | Posted 9 years agoI'm very happy and excited to have this happen. To get some context, our old man Dozer is getting a little hard of hearing, and his hearing is important to guarding the rabbits currently in the backyard. So mom decided to call some old friends of hers to see if we could find a puppy. Our qualifications were that this dog had to grow to a medium to large dog that was really it. We didn't care that much about the breed just as long as it wasn't small. After a week or so we got word of a person selling a jet-black female Labrador retriever puppy. Her price was low and she was almost 2 months old and absolutely adorable! So now we are her new owners and we named her Nicky! ^^ Right now my spirits are high and its so great to have a fresh puppy face to pet! ^^
Soooo tired of Bendoverwatch!
General | Posted 9 years agoSeriously! I see it everywhere, I hear it everywhere! Overwatch seems to be THE thing that everyone keeps talking about! I'm tired of that shitty game, can we just move on?!
Sorry, had to get that frustration out of my system.

Not Much to Say
General | Posted 9 years agoWell I guess it's not much to say but I just wanna update what has been going down on my end of things.
I've finally decided that I'm gonna go after Pokemon Sun for starters. I saw one too many things that I just cannot ignore. Solgaleo being the most prominent thing! Can't get enough of that handsome lion! The new elemental forms are also pretty cool too. ^^ But there is a catch to this decision, I've given up on buying Starfox Zero. This is from what I gathered from my own experience and what others have informed me. I mentioned a while ago that I played the first couple of levels. but there wasn't much more to it than that, maybe 3 levels after that. From what I heard also that the tank handles almost as bad as the helicopter thingy (the wobblin gobblin). I tried to keep my gripes about the controls to a minimum when it comes to talking about this game but it seems to be the one thing that no one can ignore. So in summary, if I want a perfectly good Starfox game that doesn't force a control gimmick I do not want to deal with, then play Starfox 64 or Assault (both of which I have).
On my end with the TCG's and such, I recently built a Gate Guider deck for Buddyfight which is courtesy of
. That's aboot the only thing major I have been doing with Buddyfight. With Vanguard I recently picked up Gold Paladins with a budget (again with
's help) ... obviously cuz I'm a cheap bastard. And also with it being a budget paladin deck I'm gonna struggle with this thing, that much is certain unless I wanna invest another $60+ which is right out. On the Magic side of things...... nuthin goin on there.
Well that's all I have to update on thus far, so I hope you all have a nice day out there in the interwebz. ^^

Star Fox Zero First Impressions
General | Posted 9 years agoI gotta say from the start that it is not as bad as I kept telling myself it was going to be. And I gotta keep telling myself that I have only played the first 3 or so levels in single player and co-op mode, so it may differentiate as the levels go on but these are just my first impressions. First of all the graphics, though they aren't up to certain standards as something like PC gamers, but really what can satisfy those people graphics wise? The game is really colorful, crisp, and smooth in its appearance and I really can't say enough that it flows with very little to no lag from what I've experienced thus far. The sound, oh my god the sound is simply fantastic. Bear in mind that I'm talking about the sounds that are not the voices here, because that's something I've always considered voice acting to be a separate entity altogether when it comes to games. The all around sound of the game is really different from the last Star Fox game I played (Assault) but then again that game had bad vocal sound. The voice acting in there wasn't bad but the characters really sounded like they were being played back with a cassette tape player. Anywho SF Zero sounded crisp and polished and well put together.... Voice acting in here.... eh... i find it alright for the most part, its just you're typical SF babble, which has given us some unforgettable moments lol. Gameplay is pretty good for the most part... My main gripe is the helichopper thingy in the Zoness level. It's slow, sluggish, and often times I found myself pausing the game just so I can get my bearings in the level cuz I got turned around whenever I took damage and the thing wobbled around. I shall now dub the helichopper the "Wobblin Gobblin!" Aside from that, the other 2 levels played pretty decently and I got a kick out of playing Corneria especially. I gotta tell ya that I thought that this game was gonna suck balls, but I'm happy to say that It's good to be wrong sometimes. ^^

My Trip
General | Posted 10 years agoFirst of all, thank you to those who welcomed me back in my last journal, you know who you are. ;3
Now, I wanna start by saying that this trip was something that I did not expect to do this year for thanksgiving. Usually we just do what the normal family does and just sit at the table and eat turkey with family, and hopefully with not that much swearing at each other. This year it was different. "Lets go to Mammoth for thanksgiving this year" is what my aunt said out of the blue. The thing that worried me was the weather and the long drive there (roughly 6 hours from where I live).
Anywho, me, my sister, and my mom drove to Mammoth on Thursday morning. Let just say right now that before then I had only been in snow ONCE in my whole life and that was more than 2 decades ago, so it is pretty safe to say that I don't remember shit about that event. The fresh white powder literally everywhere was one hell of a sight for a desert dweller like me, and the cold was something that I was definitely not used to. It was the single coldest time I have ever been in my life, and it will probably remain that way. So we get to the condo where we were staying and got settled in quite fast, only pain in the butt was that we couldn't find a bed that was tall enough for me. =P
On the day after Thanksgiving we actually had the dinner and everything, and it was fantastic. ^^ During most of my time there I wanted to spend time outside in the snow cuz it was something new and strange to me and I wanted to see as much of it as I could in my limited time there. I walked around the lot a lot (HA) and went around the town a bit with the rest of the family, provided that my cousin didn't complain. On my second day there, there was an art show, art of different mediums.
But yeah, that was mostly what went down at my trip to Mammoth. I had a good time and I hope I wind up doing it again next year. =3

General | Posted 10 years agoWith this Thanksgiving, my family decided to do something completely different, GO CAMPING! Yup, tomorrow I'll be heading to Mammoth Mountain for the next 3 days... I'm kinda hesitant about this because of the cold... Anyway, I'll see you all later and HAPPY THANKSGIVING!! =3

New Decks! Buddyfight and Vanguard Update!
General | Posted 10 years agoOkay! My dark Irregulars have been heavily tested and I can safely say that the Redhead Rampage deck is done!
Grade 0
Werfleder Ordonnaz (Starter)
Wertigre Fanatica (Critical) x4
Dark Knight of Nightmareland (Critical) x4
Cursed Doctor (Heal) x4
Monochrome of Nightmareland (Stand) x4
Grade 1
Amon's Follower, Vlad Specula (Perfect Guard) x1
Flag Breaker (Other Perfect Guard) x3
Killing Dollmaster x3
Lunatic Masquerade (Crazy Good Booster!) x4
Succubus of Pure Love (Yeah Right!) x4
Grade 2
Squallmaker Vampir x4
Knife Conductor x4
Werwolf Jaeger (Wolfy AWESOMENESS!) x3
Grade 3
Echo of Nemesis x4
Schahrot Vampir x4
Grade 4 (Strides)
Love Tempest, Kisskill Lira (Leads up to the main hitter) x4
Abominable One, Gilles de Rais (The main hitter) x4
It's one of those decks that can win with some rather nice razzle dazzle, but it does suffer from the typical Dark Irregular faults. The fact that you soulcharge the top of your deck tons upon tons, until you reach 15 then stop for the love of Jebus! And since you do soulcharge, you have the chance of charging a trigger of some kind.
As for buddyfight, my new project is Star Dragon World. Starblaze Omni-Burst is now under construction. The main hitter is Variable Cord, my first Omni Lord! Reminiscent of Sieger in some ways, but kinda.... meh so far. And a special thanks goes to Terry for the deck name and the list! ^_^

My New Vanguard Deck WIP
General | Posted 10 years agoI now have a new vanguard project, the Dark Irregular G deck!
I recently bought a box of the new set with the intent on building Dark Irregulars. This clan has always been a sort of ignored child of the clans I run, but this time around I wanted it to be the forerunner for the G decks for me. I now own a bit of the deck. I just need some of the bare essentials for the deck. I just hope I can complete the deck soon enough so I can take it for a spin. =3

Current Card Game Update
General | Posted 10 years agoIt has been a while since I last talked about the card games that I am currently a part of and what has been going on with them. I wanted to say that despite the hype that it is getting, I do not want to take part in the Force of Will trend. FoW for me is just not really appealing to me. Even the rather nice looking werewolves that are in the game are not worth the merit of investing into the game. Alot of my friends play the game and from the look of it and the sound of it, it is just Magic with an anime outfit. I already play MTG, and even that is taking a back seat compared to the other games I play. Last time I played Magic was a week ago, and that was a Commander game.
Moving on to Vanguard. I recently completed 2 decks that I am particularly proud of: Brawlers and Raizers. Brawlers give such nice effects, power, and BEEFCAKE DRAGONS!! http://img2.wikia.nocookie.net/__cb.....-005EN-RRR.png
I have had the occasional frustrating game with it, but it more than makes up for with its sheer awesome plays that it can do. Retiring all of your opponents units brings on happy times. ^^
As for the Raizers, I'll say that it is literally the deck that I was waiting for for so long since the 1st Generation of Raizers was introduced. I REALLY wanted to make that deck... but it had NO support. Then the legion came out and I was all "cool, but how crappy are they?" It was not until Terry played them against me that I finally understood the extent of their power. They have been hauling in some really awesome games. They're not indestructible, but strong. Not to mention they're battlemechs, one of my favorite things. Seriously, what's not to like? ^^
As for Buddyfight, I currently have these worlds:
Dragon (Dragon Knights) Buddy: Dragon Knight, Dragon Knight, El Quixote
Dungeon (Dungeon Enemies) Buddy: Mameshiba, Cobalt
Danger (Armor Knights) Buddy: Armorknight Tiger
Katana (Ninjas) Buddy: Nanomachine Ninja, Tsukikage
Darkness Dragon (Shadow Divers) Buddy: Death Ruler, Gallows
Out of all of them, Danger World has yielded the most wins and it is the most consistent in achieving its win condition, I.E. Armorknight Demon. It does kind of feel like the deck cannot win without the Demon, but when it does get it onto the field and keeping it there long enough to deplete their life. Katana World is probably the hardest deck to play. There are many parts to the deck, the combos are heavy on the gauge, getting and keeping gauge in this deck difficult, and the creatures in the deck are pitiful in terms of defense and critical numbers are low. The thing about the Ninjas is that most of them are size 1, and even though I can get 3 of them onto the field easily, it also does not take much at all to get rid of them. Weather or not it is from an attack or spell. Killing them is easy attacks since their defense is pretty low typically. With spells it is also not that easy because of the secret sword techniques, but that also plays into the first weakness of the deck, lack of gauge. It tries to make up for that with the Clear Serenity card, but the 3 gauge that it provides is drained very quickly before the secret sword cards can even be used. And with the introduction of Super Lethal Formation, the gauge needed for the basic use and function of the deck increases even more. Those aside, when the deck actually flows with no gauge hiccups, it is a really fun deck to use. For my shadow divers in Darkness Dragon World, it performs well and it pulverizes Ancient World. That being said... Thank God no one here plays Jackknife Gold Ritter anymore. Dungeon World's thing has 2 playstyles integrated into it. The first is outnumbering them with teeny tiny monsters and keep bringing them back with my Demon Lord's Dungeon spell. The second method is playing either Demon Lord, Gagnar or Guardian Dragon of the Ruins, Meteor Rain and keeping them out there with defense spells.
Alright, that's what I have been up to in the card game world. Thanks for reading, if you did. And if you did not..... SHAME ON YOU!!

I can do this....
General | Posted 11 years agoAlright... it is 2 in the morning and I can't sleep because of my uncontrollable coughing, which I have had for a few days now. So I came out into the living room, where the computer is, to try to listen to some music that can get me sleepy. And while I'm sitting here, I'm still coughing. And apparently it has gotten to a point where my mom, who was sleeping at the time, came out of her room and handed me THE bottle................
The bottle of NyQuil.
That bottle is just sitting on the desk.... taunting me... silently mocking.... I can do this....... Please pray for me furs of FA...... If you do not hear from me... I love you.....
