Starfighter/"Laser" deck!
General | Posted 16 years agoOut of sheer "what the hell this could be fun" I decided to construct a machine deck mainly focused around Light Machines. This deck will also be taking advantage of the new restrictions/banned list and run 2 of the previously limited to 1, Cyber Dragon. That card alone gives this thing a fighting chance. The other heavy hitters are, Jinzo and Satellite Cannon, or as I refer to it as the "laser." (Dr Evil)
The thing is still in its testing phase but here is what its made of thus far.
MONSTERS
Lord British Space Fighter x3
Cyber Valley x3
FalchionB (Beta) x3
Satellite Cannon x3
Heavy Mech Support Platform x3
Shining Angel x3
Cyber Dragon x2
Honest x2
Jinzo x1
SPELLS
Machine Assembly Line x3
Machine Duplication x2
Pot of Avarice x2
Limiter Removal x1 (Duh)
Swords of Revealing Light x1
TRAPS
Changing Destiny x3
Beckoning Light x2
Call of the Haunted
Mirror Force
Torrential Tribute
Any suggestions or advice on this thingy is more than welcomed. ^^

Mass Effect 2, not what I was expecting
General | Posted 16 years agoWell I guess it was only a matter of time before I was able to get my paws on this title, but the timing was a little off on getting since it is during the first 2 weeks of the new semester so I was equally surprised to have the time to play this game.
Anyway, the setup in this title is a wee bit like the first game but the main thing that I noticed was that they changed the inventory and weapons a great deal. In the first game, you were able to buy different guns from a store or find one in a vault or safe. In ME2, there is no buying different guns, but there is only buying upgrades for them. For example, the assault rifle can get better shield penetration and damage, while in the original you can put "mods" in your weapons to make them do the same thing, and if you did not want those mods in them you could switch them out for other mods. So the way ME2 does upgrades is different, yet it makes things a bit more interesting. Another thing involving the inventory is that money is harder to come by than in the first one, so you must think carefully on the choices of what you want to buy. Last thing inventory related is the mining of minerals. ME1 had you scan some planet and it gave you something along the lines of such and such was found or a rare mineral has been mapped, but now you actually mine the minerals by launching probes to the planet. Its funny as hell when you probe Uranus...... Funniest thing is that the ships computer knows about this and it even says something different when you probe Uranus! "Really commander?" I SWEAR ON MY MOTHERS GRAVE THAT IS WHAT IT SAYS!
With all these upgrades and other stuff that you purchase, its simply not possible, unless youre cheating, to get all the available upgrades for everything. Its all a matter of what choices you make for your characters class, and each class is different in some way. As for your team, you have a wide cariety of teammates to choose from and their survival at the end of the game depends on their loyalty and if you have earned it or not. Your team is a vast spread of different alien races and each one has a unique trate about them in combat and interaction with other characters you meet along the way. Now for the thing I enjoyed most, the gunplay! In summary, I liked the way they sorta put the Gears of War cover system in this game because it really works and makes 3rd person shooters more interesting, at least in my opinion it does. But there is a drawback to this cover system in ME2. The cover can get a little buggy once or twice. Its not really as polished as it is in Gears of War but they did an "ok" job of it. I guess to sum up all the balle I have said, Mass Effect 2 was a bit better than I expected it to be, and hopefully they're gonna have the same or better result with the 3rd one.

Back to the books!
General | Posted 16 years agoWell its back to school for me and so far its off to a tyring start. My schedule of classes is a little hecktic during the week, seeing as how they all take place early in the morning and ending around the afternoon. I'm currently taking 3 math classes and a personal development class. With a shedule of this many classes, I will have enough units to be a full time student, which has some benefits such as free medical checkups in the campus medical center and a bus pass that only costs $20 instead of the usual $65, and it lasts through the whole semester. As for my workouts, I still have some time to do them when I get home from school. The only catch is that I will be wiped out afterwards.
On a side note the new deck that me and my mate have come up with is still undergoing further testing, so far signs look good. The power of this deck is almost frightening sometimes, especially if it can dish out over 8,500 damage with only one creature in one turn... scary aint it? The deck is based on an old idea with new cards to make it more efficient and far more deadly. As for what it is.... I'll give you a tiny clue.... Evil is in the card name. ^^
Later FA love you all! :D

A new deck that the world has never seen!!!
General | Posted 16 years agoI may be exaggerating that title a bit, but my mate and I have come up with an old-school deck idea that now has a new twist to it. Back when it first came out, apparently it was widely feared and respected. The very mention of it to an opponent would cause him to quake in his chair. The addition to it is way beyond what anyone could have possibly considered, me and my mate have looked at the basic deck build of it online, but as far as we can tell NONE have done it the way that we have since it basically was abandoned some odd years ago. When I built it and took it to the store last Saturday, bear in mind that it was still in its testing stages, I played 5 games with it and won 4 of them! Last I checked, 4 out of 5 wins with an untested deck is a good thing, am I right?
As for what this deck is, I will tell when my mate says I should since it was also his idea. ^^
For the time being concerning other matters, I will be going back to school next week on the 8th of February and back to the books! But that does not mean its the end for me, eventually I WILL get a new computer and be back to doing whatever it is that I do on FA. See ya. ^^

Tales of cards games... again...
General | Posted 16 years agoI know its only like 1 of 3 things I talk about in my journal lol.
But this last weekend brought up a good question "why do I build the decks I have?" It took a little bit of time to figure out why I do what I do with the cards I have, but it simply boiled down to this: making decks comprised of an old theme that people would see as "ineffective, out of date, antique, to slow, etc." makes it more surprising when it actually works. For starters, most people over at the game shop could not see a Crystal Beast deck actually working against the generic decks of today. I guess my answer is that I like to take the cards that most duelists would normally not pay much attention to and put them to good use. Not just my crystals, but my Elemental Heroes/Evil Heroes, Dragons, Fortune Ladies, and Exodia. And right about now.... Im considering going down the path of Neo Spacians, just because that would throw off just about everyone, leaving them in a state of "WTF!?!?!" ;3 And also the Neos fusion monsters just look AWESOME!! :D There was a point down here when people used the Neo Spacians and were popping up from the ashes of time, but as quickly as they appeared, they vanished once more, and I wanna bring them back for what they were intended to be used for! Wish me luck! Or if you wish to support their revival, not me ;3
On a side not, this is something Ive been meaning to say since apparently its an issue, which I never saw at first glance. Kingdom Hearts has somehow shot up like a rocket in fame, I would not know since I dont have a PS anything, but at first I did not like the game because I assumed it was just like all other JRPGs before it, turn based RPGs which I cannot stand. But, with some helpful insight of the game from my blue wulfy, I found out that it is in fact not turn based. Now right off the bat it gets some good marks from me, but there will always be the lil thing that I do not own the right console to play it, and even if I did I would only play it like 10 minutes at a time since I also cant stand the controllers of andy of the Playstation platforms... simply too small controllers for my big paws lol. But enough of that being said, I think Kingdom Hearts gets a thumbs up just for not being turn based, everything else I would have to experience first paw.

What goes around...
General | Posted 16 years ago..you know the rest lol.
But in one of my other journals, I gave mention to a funny story that I said I would share with you later. I guess now is as good a time as any.
It was when the twilight packs arrived at the game shop I go to. I had some christmas money left so I figured why not get a twilight pack and get an Honest. I went in and bought the pack. It was their last one and I got to it. The funny thing is that this one guy, we will call him M for the time being, was throwing a hissy fit because I apparently had bought it out from under his nose.
To give you a background on M, he's an asshole, and he puts 100% effort into being one. For example, there was this one little kid who came into the store once before, he was only around 10 or 11 and just started the game. He was just showing off his cards, like all little kids do, and he apparently had a fake card on him. I did not really care since he was only a kid, there was no way he could have known if it was a fake one or not, and the card itself was only a common starter deck card. But M pointed the kid out on it and called him a cheater and a liar. First thing that popped into my head was "good god man! Hes just a kid! Let it go!" But being the asshole that he is, he just cussed at the kid to the point the kid was in tears. One of the employees told him to cool off, and he finally did so. I usually do care about fake cards, but when its a little kid I couldnt care less, just let the kid have fun with the game!
Anyway, M starts going off in my face, like what I always do I just sit there and ignore. But I learned that he heard that he had already bought 5 of the twilight packs beforehand, and he was scavenging up the money to buy the last one, but I got to it first. All I said to him was "first come first serve pal." He just turned and walked away after that. Not long after, I noticed 2 face down cards lying on the floor in the corner where M was sitting. And to my surprise they were both Honest cards. Immediately I thought that these might be M's since he was sitting here, but there was no way for me to tell for sure, so I just took them. In the end, I bought one honest but got 3 at the end of the day. Just goes to show, what goes around comes around. ^^

Borderlands. No rest for the wicked!!
General | Posted 16 years agoI actually got around to playing this thing the whole way through after god only knows how long and it was a rewarding gameplay experience. For those who don't know of Borderlands, first of all shame on you! To start you off, it is a first person shooter and an RPG, since it does have a level system for your character amd your weapons that you pick up. You get to choose 1 of 4 classes: Berserker, Soldier, Hunter, and Siren. I picked the berserker, duh. lol. The game got alot of hype over its loot distribution randomization system, meaning that no gun will ever be the same as the one you found before it, it may look the same but the stats are always different, it could have higher damage than the last one, higher accuracy, rate of fire, etc. When they bosted a game with over a bazillion guns, they really meant it! The game not only has a unique look about it but also one of the funniest games I've played in a long time! For example, on one of the descriptions on of the guns, "The Shattering Bastard" a "bastard" class gun says "bastard guns for bastard people!" lol!
Also when youre selecting one of the 4 characters, the driver of the bus that the 4 are riding on pokes fun at each one of them UNTIL he gets to the berserker and says "And you, beef-stick in the back! I'm not gonna make fun of you... Your burps smell like blood and you growl like rabid animal!" (but with more of a heavy Russian accent)
The main story revolves around you becoming what the natives on this far off planet, Pandora, refer to as a "Vault Hunter." As the title implies, you are after this legendary treasure that is locked away in a vault. No one knows what is in it, but they say it contains infinite wealth, fame, alien technology, power, harems of your deepest desire. The game does have some balance issues when you reach the maximum level but at least you will ALWAYS find some new loot to keep the experience fresh and not to mention rewarding. And its comical sense of humor will keep you going back for more play time and more guns to find!

Metroid game: "Other M"?!?!.... oh no...(RANT WARNING!)
General | Posted 16 years agoUp until now, I was looking forward to a new Metroid game, being the Metroid whore that I am. Then I saw Metroid's next game, "Other M."
The first thing that popped into my head is that this thing is being developed by one the developers I so love to hate, Team (mother F#@$#%&) Ninja! Everything that this team makes is utter crap. Dead or Alive, Ninja Gaiden, and thats all the games I know of that came from these idiots. Each time they make a sequal to one of these titles, they try to undo the crap that the game before it had. Dead or Alive was supposed to be a fighting game, but they turned it into a "counter" game. This game revolved around countering your opponent SOO much to the point it turned to utterly rediculous. In Ninja Gaiden 1 and 2 there were TONS of technical issues as well as gameplay issues, the camera got stuck on everything, the camera was not at the best angle so enemies easily snuck up on you and most of the time killing you with one shot, the story being a none-existant piece of shiznit, the bosses being over the top craaaaaaazy difficult to beat, and not just them but the minions as well. Even with the sound of the name "Other M" is a good indication of either a complete flop in the story or simply not being related to the story at all, which is what makes Metroid what it is today, I mean WTF does "other m" supposed to indicate?!
If it were anyone else making this game I would be enthusiastic about this release, but now that I see that Team Ninja is involved with this, I see the era of Metroid come to a crashing end....

Tornament last Saturday, and a new deck is tested!
General | Posted 16 years agoSince the Shonen Jump tornament for Yu Gi Oh was being held in Aneheim last saturday, I think it was Aneheim or LAX. Anyhow, since it was being held, there was a smaller turnout than usual, 10 - 12 people including me. I did not want to enter the tornament at first, but I learned that this tornaments prize was going to be the new Twilight special edition thingys. I forgot which packs come in those but it does come with a very good card, Honest. I wanted to get the card because my mate wanted one for this deck that he was building, and hes also my sweetheart. ^^ Love you honey!
Turns out that they would give 2 of them as a prize since enough people entered. I also took the chance with using a new deck that I have recently completed, the Fortune Ladies. A few of my oppenents pretty much were expecting me to use my crystals since they are my main deck, but I thought I'd surprise them with this lil bit of nasty, well get to that in a sec lol. Reason why I built this one is simply cuz no one else down here, who has tried, could not make it work effectively. I simply took it as a new challenge. ^^
For those who are unaware of these ladies, there is one fortune for each of the 6 elements in the game, which are: Fire, Water, Earth, Wind, Dark, and Light. Each fortune lady has a different ability and their levels increase, by 1, during your turn. Their levels generally keep going up until they reach the maximum of 12. Each fortune ladies attack power and defense varies on their current level. For example, Fortune Lady Water's starting level is 4, and on her effect it says that her attack power is x300 for each level, doing the math would put her at 1200 starting attack, which isnt that great but if you can keep a furtune lady alive long enough they can be deadly Their main problem that I noticed when other people played them was that they ran ALL the fortune ladies, which overloaded their decks one too many combos that would overload the deck with cards, which made quite a few "dead draws" which left them vulnerable alot. What I decided to do is focus its as narrow as possible and not run all of the furtune ladies in one deck. Also, their decks wanted to use synchro monsters but they did not run enough tuner monsters.
To summerize it all here is the deck. ^^

It works well and has a tendancy to annoy quite well hehe. My first opponent found that one out the hard way. He was after the prize even though he bought 5 of those twilight special edition things a few days before the tornament, funny story involving that guy but ill tell you some other time since this is already lengthy as it is. But he dueled against my crystal deck befor so he was expecting to beat me since he was packing the cards that would usually devestate my crystals, but when I played Future Visions then my first fortune lady.... that look on his face was AWESOME!! He was all prepared for my crystals but now hes dueling against my lovely ladies. ^^
The first game went fast since he was using, what else, blackwings, and he was caught off guard. In the second game, he got me down to 2500 life before my fortune lady fire burned through the last of his life point total of 2800 when it blew up his Goyo Guardian. I basically ruined his chance of getting more of those twilight packs, since he is always a big jerk to me and crushes little kid duelists and laughs at them afterwards, this was a little bit of payback for me and them! Haha!
My 2nd opponent was a Neo Spacian user, he did not know some of the rules while using them like he could not use Polymerization to make the Neos fusion monsters, he did not know about it but it does say so on the fusion monsters themselves, so I do not know if he really did not realize that or he was cheating the whole 1st round. But I made it through that game with no problem since he forfeited after I told him about that rule. I did feel bad for him since he appeared to be a beginner.
My 3rd opponent was using Ancient Gears. The first game he won since I did not draw a single spell card, was all monsters I kept drawing into. I won the 2nd game since he had the same problem I did in the first game, irony strikes! The 3rd game was a good one to a certain point. He had a set monster and Geartown out on the board, I had ladies light, water, and dark on my side with no spells or traps face down. I had 1500 life left and her had 2100. It was my turn when I drew into a Future Visions field spell. I played it, which got rid of Geartown, which brought out Gajiltron! (not sure if I spelled it right) I forgot that getting rid of geartown does that and I had no cards left in my hand. I switched my monsters into defense mode, which did not work to well since he obliterated them in his next turn, then he attacked me directly for game. It was a good game and I placed 2nd... with a new barely tested deck with all 41 cards being less tham $5 for each one, the most being like 4 or 5, but a few are worth more than that but I got them for a bargain. But it was a good weekend, I did not get the twilight packs that I was after but I gave it a shot. ^^

Forced againts my will to not be myself...
General | Posted 16 years agoThis is probably not a good idea to say since this would sound like what people would call an "elmo" moment. But have you ever wanted to say something but you can't because you fear the circumstances of your actions? I feel that a lot now a days. Its as if everything that I do will get me in trouble i.e. my furry artwork or the fact that I've fallen in love with a man.
My family views not just homosexuals as an abomination to mankind but furries as well. The last time my family saw me drawing a furry character was a few years ago. My grandpa simply reached and ripped the page out of my sketchbook. It did not have any explicit scenes or anything like that, he simply ripped it out and said "no grandson of mine is going to be a fur-freak" I did not hear the end of it to this very day from my brother or my mom. The brother just laughs and pokes fun at me like a 5 year old, although hes 24 and older than me, my mom telling be how disgusting and mentally sick furs are since she saw that one CSI episode and 1,000 ways to die.
But having to conceal what I am and what I enjoy making all the time sometimes weighs heavy on the mind, which is what its doing to me right now. At this moment I am typing this up and 2:30 in the morning and constantly in fear that someone will pop around the corner and read what I'm writing. I hope that soon I will move from this place in move in with the one I was meant to be with.

2010 off to a good start! *raises fist in triumph*
General | Posted 16 years agoAs of January 1, 2010, I am now the proud owner of a Bamboo Fun drawing tablet!! This is going to be so awesome when I get a new computer and take it for a test drive! I might have to put the revenge series I had going on hold afterwards seeing as how drawing on the computer would put me in the middle of the living room where the computer will be and that will not be a good thing for the rest of the family to see lol.
On another side note, my brother bought Assassins Creed 2 and I bought Left 4 Dead 2. Now, both of these games bring up a similar play feeling while going through all their little bells and whistles. They both totally outclassed their predacessors to the point that I do not want to play the originals again. They just simply took a formula from their originals and simply improved upon that until the original was put to shame. This is simply a rare case for me where the sequal is actually a much better game than the original. Most of the time when I buy a sequal game to one that I already have, the first still had some qualities that the sequal simply did not have that it should have had, like in the case of Mech Assault 2: Lone Wolf. The mechs in the 2nd one were very very slow in movement in comparison to the first and they were able to take more damage, but you could hijack enemy mechs in this one, so it kinda left me wanting something from the original put into the 2nd one that would have made a world of difference. In the Metroid Prime trilogy.... that was one of those times when ALL the games left my jaw dropped in astonishment and saying in my head "Nintendo's still got it baby!!" I simply can't get enough of Metroid Prime 1, 2, and 3! Any of you proud Metroid Prime owners would agree with me when I say that each of the games was compelling and unique, yet they were all tied together which increased the broad scale of the Metroid universe. That's my Metroid worship for the day and now I must play Super Metroid some more!! *ZOOM*

Christmas Goodie Roundup!
General | Posted 16 years agoNormally I try not to brag about this sort of thing, but since it is my first year here on FA it felt like a special occasion to do so. ^^
That Christmas morning felt like there was something special about to happen and it was. I got The Legend of Zelda: Twilight Princess from my Ma.
1 $25 gift card for Kohls from both of my Aunties.
$100 from my grandpa, which is going straght for the Tablet fund! hehe.
Got a pair of size 15 shoes for those long walks to and from the bus stop, courtesy of the aunty as well hehe. (and yes I wear a size 15!)
$50 gift card for Best Buy, which I used to buy a Wii-Mote charge Kit.
Funny thing is that I saw a Tablet there AFTER I bought the charger lol.
And my aunt bought me Tekken 6!
I knew it was gonna be good and my instincts did not lie! This Christmas was one that will stay in my memory for ages, since Tekken 6 and Twilight Princess are simply ADDICTIVE!!..... I'm having withdraws as I'm typing here!
This year as a whole was also one that I will remember as the one that I met the love of my life and I look forward to a bright future for the both of us and hopefully a start to a good 2010. ^^ (Love ya honey)
HAPPY NEW YEAR FA!!! :D

General | Posted 16 years agoToday I have the opportunity to buy one of those Wii-Mote Recharge Kits and I implore any and all Wii owners that have one to answer a few simply tid bits that have to niggling in my head about it.
Is it durable?
Does a full charge last a suitable amount of time?
Things like that, I'm hoping to get these questions answered so go ahead and say what I wish to hear from yall, any info I can get would be much appreciated. ^^

H1N1!!
General | Posted 16 years agoYup, I got it..... the vaccination I mean. And I'm pretty happy to have gone to the doctor today to get my first physical in a WHILE lol. Turns out that I'm very healthy with the exception of my little asthma problem, but despite that, my bodybuilding is showing some results. I'm more energetic than I was before I started this whole thing, I'm not crawny anymore, and I'm all around stronger than I used to be. Courtesy of Shreddedwolf's guidance. ^^ Cool thing was hearing it from the nurse who was doing the first part of my physical before the dreaded needles were brought in!! For those who don't know me well.... I HATE NEEDLES!!!
It's not the pain that gets me, its looking at the metal needle as it sinks into your.... skin.... and.... *faints* If I'm not looking at the needle I'm fine. ^^ Not long after that, one of the side effects of the vaccine kicked in, drowsyness and loss of energy. By the time I got home, I decided to call my mate. Right off the bat he could tell that there was something off about the way I was talking. lol
Like all the other times I chat with him on the phone, I enjoyed it, not sure if her found my slower and more slurred speech attractive or not. ^^
As for the upcoming christmas day, I just got my shopping done for the family and that was a major load off of my chest. Our tree is officially THE biggest tree we have ever gotten. It stands at a mighty 8 feet high with a 4 foot diameter at the base.... now BRING ON THE PRESENTS!! lol
I honeslty couldn't care less if I get anything for christmas or not, as long as it is a gift from the heart from one that I care for is a gift that is priceless, wheather it being from a simple hug to maccaroni glued to a paper plate.
With that out of the way, I'm not sure if I will be online tomarrow since it will be christmas eve so I should say it now *ahem*
MERRY CHRISTMAS EVERYONE AND A HAPPY NEW YEAR!! *flies away*

Call of Duty, Modern Warfare 2...
General | Posted 16 years agoPutting aside my dueling day on Saturday, seeing as how I did not participate in it, I thought it would be interesting to share some things about a game that ALOT of people got all hyped up about, Modern Warfare 2.
I can simply say right off the bat that this game was a HUGE letdown for me and I'll get to the reasons in a bit. The original game, which I thought was "meh" kinda fell onto the Multiplayer crutch. And with that game came modded controllers and lag controllers that did not make the game fun to play on multiplayer at all. The campaign was "bleh," that really needed help, and with this new the developers only made things worse. I couldn't care less about the multiplayer in this one either and apparently there are a few glitches that simply made me run the other way. The Javelyn rocket glitch being the most notable. The campaign in this game is simply HORRID, and not to mention it did not make much sense until later but when all the pieces are put together it does not feel very rewarding once you've beaten it. They did put in this other feature called Special Op. which is where you or you and a friend team up to complete certain challenges. IE defending a certain area from terrorists, riding snowmobiles, running across a bridge before it blows up, but there is a drawback for all this. It is unforgiving and not to mention on even the lowest difficulty setting you WILL die if you do not do things a certain way, you pretty much have no free will to do things differently. The weapons are sorta iffy because they differenciate a bit but a lot of them are virtually identicle. A few differences here and there but those are too tiny to notice at first glance. The good thing about this game is that the graphics are awesome and the body movement on your commrades and enemies feel like they're alive and now a robot in space. To conclude my ranting, I would say that Modern Warfare 2 is not that great of a game, me and my brother sold it about 2 weeks after getting the thing. It simply did not live up to its hype in my perspective.

Tornament on Saturday and a trip down memory lane
General | Posted 16 years agoLast Saturday was a failry good day, considering the fact that I had gotten through my workouts for the week and I did not pull anything this time around. ^^
In addition to that, when I got to the tornament I found out from other players that there was only 1 Blackwing user. Just about everyone there though was running Zombie decks, which is a wee bit better than Blackwings, hell just about ANYTHING would have been better than playing Blackwings AGAIN!! I was trading with some people to start the day, then one of the veteran players approached me and said "You're always trading more than playing in tornaments, why don't ya play more?"
And I replied with "I would if these other players would get their heads out of their asses and build non-generic decks. And I don't have the money to enter this week"
Then he surprised me with "would you play if I paid the entry fee?"
Wide-eyeded, I said "why would you want to pay for me to play?"
Then he says "because your games are the most interesting"
At that point I had no idea what to say except "sure, I'll play" but I still don't know what he meant by that lol.
So I entered the tornament with my Crystal Beast deck in hand. It was a large gathering with at least 25 people entering. I fought a Morphtronic deck first off, that was played by this one guy I know in college. Odd person while talking, but he was tornament champion 4 weeks in a row before his gladiator beast deck was apparently rendered obsolete. His Morphtrons put up a good fight, but they were no match for my Crystal Abundance, god I love that thing!
The next one was the dreaded Fortune Ladies. Those ladies nearly had me by the time I was able to pull out my Rainbow Dragon, then the tables took a sharp turn to the left. Rainbow was able to take down the buffed up Fortune Lady Earth, who was powered up to about the mid 3000s, but Rainbow was able to take it down along with the last bit of life he had left. My next opponent was a net decker, and he had a Zombie deck. He had, bluntly speaking, EVERY generic user's cliche card in this one deck. Kaius, Dark Armed Dragon, Raiza, THE WORKS! I would have listed Gold Sarcophagus, but not all decks run that thing, and I'm not just saying that because I found one face down on the table I was sitting at a month or so ago...... MOVING ON!! That zombie deck made short work of my crystals, it simply had everything it needed to beat my deck, especially when he used Book of Life to not only bring back his Pleguespreader Zombie, but to also remove from play my only Cobalt Eagle, which rendered my Rainbow Dragon useless. My next opponent was rather rude...... HE DIDNT EVEN SHOW UP FOR THE MATCH!!! So I just simply waited for the judges to say "hes late, oh well, he forfeits. You win." I actually don't really like having my victories handed to me but I'm not gonna complain. :P
By this time, I was already within the top 8, so even if I did lose, I would end up with 2 prize packs of my choice, so it did not matter if I won or not lol.
My next opponent was running a deck that I simply dread, a Yubel deck! That deck locked down my crystals to the point I decked out. I just ran out of cards and then BAM death..... 2x in a row. I took my pride where I could get it I guess and came out of the tornament with 7th place. Not bad if I do say so myself. ^^
Now, not too long ago while using my Wii for the first time to check for the Wii's online shopping center for downloadable games, I stumbled across a game that I never thought that I would ever see again, a game that has been widely considered to be one of the greatest games of all time next to Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time, Kingdom Hearts 1 and 2, and Final Fantasy 7 (which I don't think Final Fantasy 7 and Kingdom Hearts is, and I'm most likely gonna get roasted for saying that lol) Super Metroid!
Last time I even laid eyes on this game in RL and not on youtube was about 15 years ago YEAH I REMEMBER THAT! But that game made me into an insta-metroid fan! lol
And this was at the time in my life when I did not know what console games were, but I immediately fell in love with this idea of games you play on your TV. ^^
The music, the atmosphere, the controls, the exploration, the action, the AWESOMENESS, it was all right here with this game!! Needless to say, when I played this game again on the Wii after so many years............. JOYGASM!!!!!! Haha!

Changes at home
General | Posted 16 years agoThe most recent theft of my cards has led to some rather interesting and fundimental changes. First of all, my sister is now kept on a shorter leash, figuratively speaking. From now on, she will be limited to how much things she is allowed to have in my moms room at one time. Since she collects Barbi dolls in mass, that is gonna make a huge difference in space. 2nd, my Yu Gi Oh cards are now kept under lock and key. My mom and me recently went up to Wal-Mart and she bought me a HUGE tool box with a heavy duty pad-lock. The tool box itself is more than enough to hold every yu gi oh card I have in my possession, and it is able to keep any prying fingers out of its contents with the bad-lock engaged. It's a hardend plastic tool box, yet even though it's plastic it's tough as hell!
Anywho, just thought Ide fill yall in on how I'm gonna prevent any further Rainbow Dragon thefts. Later everyone and I hope you all had a great turkey day. ^^

My day of dueling
General | Posted 16 years agoLast Saturday was a bit more stressful than most. It was actually Friday night when my troubles began. To get you up to speed on my living situation, I have a lock on my door and the only 2 people with the key are myself and my mom. Now, my sister has her clothes in a dresser in my room since my mom does not have enough space in her room to put her clothes, so she has to let my sister in to get a new change of clothing after shes done taking a shower. The thing is that my mom is not always with her when she searches for her clothes. My sister is also mentally "not all there" so she often searches for things that catch her attention. One of those things that catch her attention are my Yu Gi Oh cards. That friday night, I was walking past my door when I saw that it was open and there she was looking for clothing, but she was stumbling around with something. I walked in which startled her, and out of her clean pants pocket fell out my Rainbow Dragon! I immediately picked it up, needless to say I was VERY angry, but my mom pulled her out of my room and said to look for more while she had a talk with her. I went through her stacks of clothing and found almost all the cards that I thought I had lost, a few of them being big money cards like the blackwing Armor Master and Vayu that someone actually wanted to buy off of me for $30. The condition that my sister put onto the card made their total value equivilant to $1, which was all that I got for them both. Worse still, this is not the first time this has happaned. She also once stole one of my most treasured possessions, a Magic the Gathering card once given to me by a friend, the most expensive card in the game, a Black Lotus. It was not the value of the card that made it special to me, it was a gift from a great friend of mine before he passed on. She tore that Black Lotus to shreds and I never forgave her for that.
That Saturday began sorta like the one before, except for the Santa Anna winds. My primary mindset was to test out my new dragon deck, but most of the people there were playing Blackwings, which was a big pain in the arse...
My dragons held in there for a while against most of them, but the swarming capabilities of those damn blackwings is simply too fast for my dragons to contend with. I eventually found a familiar face, the Wishmaster sound a-like, who ran a rather odd deck, a flip effect deck. The primary win condition of the thing was needle worm and other flip monster flip effects that stalled me, Dark Eyes Illusionist was a key card for that. It was annoying to fight against something that not only froze my dragons, but he had the means to flip him back down and up again so it freezes something else. Eventually my dragons beat it, but he won the first game and it really was a potent deck... and annoying. I then played against someone who thankfully was not running any of the generic trifecta decks, an fish/machine deck. He mainly used his fish with Fish Depth Charge to blow up my monsters and Amphibious Bugrath to attack directly for some major hurt. That deck was able to take out my dragons, but not my crystals. ^^
I did not participate in the tornament that day since there were too many blackwing players floating about. One of those Blackwing finatics blurted out loud that they should make a blackwing starter deck..... Initially, I did not know what to say... I knew I should have knocked his teeth down his throat but that aint hero-like.... I simply said "and make a generic deck even more generic?!" then he replies with "whats so bad about them, everyone should use them." All I could do was simply say "get... the hell... away from me" I mean come on! Everyone should use them?! How boring and dumb can this guy be if he says that everyone should run the same deck?! *sigh* sorry had to get that off my chest. Some people at the tornament actually do support me in that point of view... which is scary... Aside from getting alot of my missing cards ruined and being stressed out by blackwing genericness, it was a decent day, mainly cuz I got to talk with the one I love on the phone later that night. ^^ Later FA users and have a pleasant tomarrow.

New Deck Completed, UNLEASH THE DRAGONS!!
General | Posted 16 years agoThe original idea for my dragon deck was to circulate around Red Eyes Black Dragon, but while at the tornament on Saturday, I overheard some vintage players, who have been playing supposedly when the game began, talking about the "old dragon decks." I asked them what they meant by it because the only 2 types of dragon decks I knew of at the time were Red Eyes decks, and this other type called Hopeless Dragon decks. They immediately brought up the fact that dragons were more about blunt and brutal force and relied on a heavy arsenal of dragons, most at a high level. I.e. Blue Eyes White Dragon and I forgot the rest that they mentioned. But they focused on just high attack power and that was about it, now it is not the same, so they say anyway. But all that aside, I basically went ahead and reformatted my original dragon deck to a new one to sorta bring back that old style of dragon brutality with some new twists. Take a look at the list and tell me what yall think.

SSBB!
General | Posted 16 years agoHonestly when I first bought the game a while back, there was always this little nagging doubt in the back of my head saying "what if they didn't do a good job, what if they did mostly stupid characters that no one has ever heard of, did they take out any characters I liked" most of those doubts were put to rest. For the most part, Super Smash Bros. Brawl really filled my criteria for what makes a good game. It did not lean too much on multiplayer, but it did play a big role in it. Thankfully they made solo play pretty fun. They did sorta make the subspace emissary thing feel a little bit repetative, but at least they added enough characters and differenciated the stages enough to make at least feel a tad bit different as I progressed. In regular fights there are alot of stages to take your fights to, and the stage creator thing was a nice addition to it. The characters for the most part are good, but they could have made due without a few of them and added a few that are guarenteed to be better. Mr Game and Watch for example was one that they should have taken out, because he is just too "wtf" to take seriously as a fighter, not to mention I just plain do NOT like him at all. This is all just me, maybe there are a few people out there in Never Land that enjoy playing as him.... yeah right. Another that they should have taken out would be King Dedede. lol whenever I hear that name, Carlos Mencia's voice pops into my head! Seriously though, whatever he does, Bowser or Gannnondorf can easily outclass him. Bowser may be a little slower, but he makes up for that with his better reach, power, endurance, and recovery. King Dedede just feels like hes unneeded or wanted.
If they do actually decide to go through with a 4th Smash Bros game, Nintendo should add in the more popular iconic characters that we all know and love and not something that was only seen in Japan or if you say their name and you go "who?" (with the exception of Ike)
Why did they not add Megaman X, Zero, Leon Kennedy, Chris Redfield (both from the resident evil franchise), Duke Nukem, Krystal, Conker (maybe nix him down a bit lol), Fulgore, Jago, Sabrewolf (those 3 from Killer Instinct), King K Rool, Krusha (those 2 are from the DK series), and last but not least the Master Chief?! I mean COME ON!!! If they did have him in there, Halo fans would have flocked to by the Wii just to get the chance to fight as who many call "the most Awesomely Epic Badass OF ALL TIME!!" which may be a tad exaggerated but that would have cool lol. But why not those other characters I've listed? They were once in Nintendo games a while ago and they made a big impacts when they arrived, Megaman X for example. The Killer Instinct characters may be a bit of a stretch, but lets be honest here for a moment. Who here does not want to play as a ninja who will not only beat your ass to a pulp but also scream while hes doing it?! How much cooler does it get?? Not much!
All in all, SSBB is a good game, and I must go play as Ike a little bit before I go to school. Later FA! ^^

Tornament on Saturday
General | Posted 16 years agoYeah I'm a little late on the draw here, but at least I have the opportunity to share the events that happaned on Saturday. The shop was already crowded by the time I got there, after my morning workouts of course. I stated once before that Yu Gi Oh paved the way for me to meet some interesting people, and it is no exaggeration when it came to one person in particular. I originally met him a couple weeks ago, seemed like a nice guy. The one thing about him that creeped me out though was his otherworldly voice...
To put it plain, he sounded like the freakin Wishmaster from the movie "Wishmaster" I kid you not!! The first time I met him, we had a few duels before he left, but THAT voice got stuck in my head.... AND ITS STILL IN THERE!!
There was also this other guy I know that has helped me out by getting a few cards for my Crystal beast deck, Jeff. Cool guy and always fair when dueling, not to mention he does not use the generic trifecta!!
After me and Jeff shook hands and chatted about this and that, it was time to take the sign ups for the tornament. I tried to make a point and not participate in those since the only decks people use are Blackwings, Zombie, Lightsworn, and chaos. For some odd reason, the Gladiators have been sorta replaced, which I am VERY thankful for (another thing to add to the thankfullness list). This time around however, I did not know why but I just went "what the hell, might get a few good laughs." So in the first round, my Crystal beast deck faced a Fortune Lady deck. Out of personal experience, those fortune ladies are ANNOYING!! It was a tight match but Crystal Abundance brought me victory! ^^
My next match was against a Blackwing deck. He won the first game then I won the second one. The third one was too close for either of us, he won with only 500 life remaining on his end, damn Goyo Guardian! (or however you spell his name)
Next I was up against another Blackwing deck, unlike the last guy, he could not keep up with the damage my crystals were dishing out. By the time he was able to get his Armor Master out, he only had 300 life remaining and I had 1800 left. He had an empty field except for the Armor Master. I had my Ancient Rainbow Ruins out with 2 crystals in my spell and trap zone and the only card in my hand was Gravicrush Dragon. I drew my card and I got a Rare Value, so I played it and drew 2 additional cards. To my surprise, I picked up the one card that could end the game right there and then, my crystal beast Amethist Cat. Heh, the look on that guys face when he saw the cat on the table was AWESOME!! lol
I ended up winning that match only by the skin of my teeth. My next match was a good one as well. I forget what deck he was using but I was able to bring out my secret weapon, Hamon, Lord of Striking Thunder. He basically picked up where my Rainbow Dragon left off and was able to finish the game and the match in my favor. I ended up taking 3rd place in the tornament. That made potentially my weekend a smashing one! ^^
But now I must hit the hey for school awaits for me tomarrow. Gnite FA friends! ^^ *Flies away*

My duels of the week.
General | Posted 16 years agoJust a wee bit of a warning, this next one is for mostly Yu Gi Oh player language and there is only so much I can say with the limited amount of things I can type on the Wii.
If there are those who still don't know, I do play a lil childrens card game called Yu Gi Oh, and through this game, which my mate introduced me to, I have seen and met new people in my part of the world. Some cool, others..... nope. For the most part, certain individuals encourege construction of a deck that no one else has done, in my case I built, along side with my elemental heroes, a crystal beast deck. The majority of people here caught glimpse that I was making one and within an instant they chimed in saying "that will never work" and "you're wasting your time and money making that deck" and my favorite "why would you even bother building one of those?! Build a..." *shudders* "blacking deck!" Ignoring their lil cherping and none-creative ideas, I completed the crystal beast deck... and it struck with a VENGEANCE!!!
People down here said that it would never work. Since no one down here has ever built one so they did not see how it actually functions, they never saw it coming. Blackwing players were traumatized as their birds were rendered to little more than fried chicken. My trump card being the astoundingly awesome, Rainbow Dragon. Don't let the name fool ya or you'll regret it. The funniest thing in the world is to see a veteran player of the game completely confused and baffled as to how his precious blackwings got kicked to the curb "I.... I just... LOST?!?!?!" The wide eyes, the dropped jaw, and the whimpering voice is simply just THE funniest thing I've ever seen while playing this game! lol
To the people who said that it would never work I say HA! Looks like the deck that cost you a pretty penny lost to a deck that barely cost me a penny. Truthfully, I have my mate to thank for supplying me with the deck idea and most of the needed cards.
Love ya hony! ;)
And if it wasn't for my friends who were quitting the game and supplying me with their MASSIVE collection, I never would have gotten that much of a head start on the game, thank god for married couples quitting their card game eh? ^^
All that aside, the past week of dueling has been simply awesome. I may not have won all the time dut I don't really care much. Win or lose, its all about the social interaction, for me at least. Creating and coming up with new strategies, and beating blackwings and lightsworn decks to a bloody pulp lol. Gladiator beasts not so much, they at least are furs so they aren't as bad in my book. I think I have jabbered on long enough for now, later FA and have a good one. ^^

Remember remember the 5th of November....
General | Posted 16 years agoHehe, I've always wanted to say that. ^^
Despite the title, I thought that it was a good time to say a few little things in regards to the upcoming holiday, thanksgiving. Even though plenty of things have been taken from me, a computer, the ability to chat with the ones I miss online, post pics, order things online, and do school assignments, I still have plenty to be thankful for.
I have a mate that I love dearly, and he loves me back.
A Wii that allows me to check here from time to time.
My mate plays card games with me over the phone and I have fun each time we do.
A place to live.
Food.
A trainer who is helping me get bigger and stronger.
A bed.
A family.
The furry fandom greeting me with open arms of friendship.
Furry friends that I cherish every moment I spend with them.
Watchers on FA who give their 2 cents about the work I post.
Art teachers who taught me how to draw.
Well there are plenty of other things that I am thankful for, but they have slipped the net for the time being. Later FA and have a pleasant November the 5th. ^^
