So my friend Al was performing at open mic night at Rook and Pawn last night. I had invited the Athens fur group, and Juan answered. :3

It was a lot of fun. My favorite joke that was told was this one:
Here's the procedure if you get arrested...

I'm thinking I might perform next month...but I also found out that game developers meet up there once a month so maybe I'd go to that instead...

It's an older one- Amitriptyline. I can get it for $4 at Walmart according to Good RX.
I had mentioned the nausea I get before and she prescribed me antacids, but when those didn't work and I explained the nausea was a side effect of anxiety she recmomended this.
Also it's an older (but effective) drug, so less experienced doctors wouldn't recommend it normally.

I've been putting it off (because I feel anxious about relying on medication for psychriatic conditions because of money, ah the irony), but I gotta do SOMETHING about the anxiety I feel.
$4 a month isn't bad though. I pay more for caffeine pills for ADHD. :P

When I get the chance, I'm thinking the water will just take 1 damage and teleport you back where you were, kinda like in Zelda.

So what's this game going to be like? Well, there are four worlds with three levels each (or maybe four; I'm really enjoying the level design process). Gameplay is somewhat like Mario 64, but instead of accomplishing goals you just try to get to the exit. You can choose what order to do the first three worlds, but until they're all completed, you can't do the fourth.

Oh yeah...I'm planning on putting an easter egg that will let you jump as much as you want. :D

Rigging is the easiest part to get right..
But I more enjoy the sculpting and painting process, not the rigging part.
And I REALLY don't like the animation part. =/

Rigging could be done in 10 minutes but takes me an hour because I spend 50 minutes going "UGGGGH I DON'T WANT TO DO THIS" .-.

I had this dream last night I was working for Chic-filla and we ran out of nuggets...so I was going to sacrifice a cockatiel. As it started cooking in the oven the poor thing was freaking out so I had mercy and let it out.
Poor thing was so scared and we couldn't comfort it.

Something's been eating at me for a while. I've been working at the Publix in Athens for over a year now, and I've only been invited to spend time with a coworker once in that time. I've invited many people over, but not vice versa. It's been making me feel unwanted and that people forget I exist as soon as I walk out that door.
I told one of my coworkers that near the end of my shift, and she said "They don't forget you. You're very memorable. But I do think they forget me."

I invited her over for tomorrow, but she's working.
It's nice to know I'm not the only one that feels this way now. Makes me feel a little less alone.

So my nephew Sean likes the Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles (parents only let him watch the classic episodes), and I found a beat-em-up style SNES game that basically has two buttons- attack and jump.
It's somewhat hard, but you can set the difficulty and lives. Plus it's snes9x- you can save and load anywhere.

His mom (my sister of course) says its' okay with her if we play it together sometime.
Wish I still have a laptop though. XD

I fell back to my computer from 2009. I've gone from 12 GB of RAM to 4 GB, and from a 1 TB hard drive to 140 GB.
Would've been 500 GB, but of course the hard drive from 2009 had to be giving me problems. The 1 TB hard drive is fine, but my brother didn't know how to set it from slave to master, and frankly neither did I. So until I find out how, there's not going to be any game development from me.

It sucks yea, but it could be worse. I could've been dumb and threw out my computer from 2009 and therefore had NOTHING to fall back on. I could've fried the whole recent desktop and not had a hard drive to fall back on either. Plus, my brother gave me a better network card so that's good. :)

It's funny- this happened during my side project Agent K. Funny coincidence- last time I made a game for that diety, I also had hardware failure. Such an odd coincidence...

Today was not a great day at work. We're all very much in shock. I want to write a poem for the funeral but it's in two days and right now I'm too shaken to do anything. =/

I mean, after what almost happened with my friends, I knew this was something I'd have to deal with some day but I didn't think it'd be so soon or a coworker...

This is why I picked WebGL- so I could make a lot of quick updates at will, and respond to any complaints.

Just updated a couple of things:
1.) the hoverpod apparently went off if you touch the side. It's been fixed- now it only goes off if you jump on it
2.) Text overlays to tell you what these powerups are.
