Commissions Info and FAQ
Posted 10 years agoHey do you want art? Of course you do, everyone wants art. It's an art sharing/aggregation site.
But do you want my art specifically? Well you're in luck because I am willing to hook you up with a 100% SuperDuperDog piece of art of 100% SuperDuperDog quality for money! Sweet, sweet, exchange-for-tacos money. Just send me a note.
Let me lay out how the SDD commission system is gonna work.
Base - This is considered 1 character(bust, full body, or in-between), simple to moderate pose and action, with no or minimalist background. Simple, efficient, and you shouldn't be waiting long.
Plus+ - A plus is what I consider complicating the art work. More characters, detailed back ground, dynamic action and/or posing, elaborate sci-fi/fantasy armor, ect. Stuff that really makes you have to sit down to properly compose the picture properly.
So say you have a trio of characters having a magic sword fight on an airship set against a fantasy city while a gryphon is juggling for some reason. Those 3 extra characters, the detailed airship deck setting, the fantasy city back drop, and the intense aether sword beams are all gonna be pluses, 6 in total. If it where, say, an Ink commission, that would be 12 dollars on top of the base 5.
If your concerned or hesitant to ask for anything past a base commission level, don't be. Anything simple I won't count as a plus. A cool rifle or little demon familiar won't be much of a bother. This is mostly due compensation for anything elaborate and time consuming and hard on my wrists. If you are concerned you might be asking for something complex simply ask and I'll let you know.
Sketch - Good for concepts! Not sure how you want that six winged dragon to look? Not even sure if you want 6 wings in the first place? Then let me help you get those ideas down from your head and onto digital canvas for next to nothing!
Maybe you just don't have any/enough art of your character(s) at all. Well now you can get something for such a minor price, and fast! I'm talking within a day of info submission even. I've done so many of these sketches, you won't have to wait long at all.
Also, if you want your sketch pushed further into a higher grade of commission, I'll lower the price!
By default sketches will be done in a graphite grey color, but alternative or even multiple colors are an option.
Examples:

Plus+ - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18443019/
Ink - Nice clean line-art for you to do whatever you want with! For no extra charge I'll add grey scale coloring or dynamic hatching to make it a proper Black and White piece. Expect prompt delivery.

Plus+ - http://www.furaffinity.net/view/18443070/
Color - Flat coloring or cel shading for no extra fee. Give your piece some vibrant color. Rainbows are encouraged.

You got all that? You want a bonus FAQ for good measure? Of course you do.
Do you be willing to porn?
Yeah sure
Alright sweet I want my guy in a diaper riding a-
Woah lets pause for a second. There are fetishes I'm certainly willing to do but not all of them. I am giving myself the right to turn down anything I'm not comfortable with. I'm sorry for any disappointment this might cause but this has to be fun for me on some level.
Since I can't really list fetishes off the top of my head, just make it clear what you'd want going on and I'll pretty quickly give you a yay or a nay on the subject. No judgment or shaming either.
What can or can't you draw? My character's species is pretty obscure.
Hopefully not obscure enough that I can't google it! I'll give anything a good honest attempt to capture properly. I always like having a reason to draw something new.
Of course, you'll always have the reservation to be properly pleased with what you get. If I can't get what you want, you should be able to have a refund. I'm here to work with you.
Should I send you money through Paypal or a trained falcon?
PayPal please! Remember they don't like transactions for porn so if you're getting something raunchy don't mention that part *WinkWinkNudgeNudge*
Please don't end this FAQ on a joke
And the cucumber lamented it might be in a re-Oh ok...

Proper twitter link is up
Posted 14 years agoSo I come in, look at messages, and decide to test out that odd looking twitter link. Surprise, surprise! it doesn't work (even though I could swear it did before).
So thats been there for some odd number of weeks. Broken. because I am terrible with linking social media apparently.
Anyway, it should work know, so people can see if my thoughts through out the week are worth following.
Sorry if that was even the smallest of inconviniences.

Inane observation #1
Posted 14 years agoYou know, when I turned off the meat filter on this account, I expected to see a lot more gratuitous nudity on the front page. This did not turn out to be the case. Turns out it's about as interesting as occasionaly seeing pictures of people grasping their genitles in real-life.
Yeah you might get a hot pole dancer or a dick that apparently eats other dicks, but they are far and few in between. Not everyone is cut out for pornography. Be it either on camera or drawing.
I just cant help but be a bit underwhlemed.

Winnie the Pooh '2011' ( I wish it had an actual title).
Posted 14 years ago I went to see the new Pooh movie today, saturday, and despite a stressed drive to deliver my brother to his girlfriend de jour on time, I really enjoyed it. Its was a fun, clever film that felt just as timeless as previous iterations.
Its also rather hard for me to think of it in a critical light. Its strange to me and although it has characters, a plot, and production values, its does not feel right to discuss it the same way one analyzes any of the other summer releases. I dont usually take the stance that something is immune to critiscm due to theme or intended purpose, but I cant see it in any other way. It does what it does (be an hour and 9 minutes of happiness) and to think of it any further doesn't feel justified.
Thats not to say that there isn't anything to talk about. Having not seen a Pooh film since I was a tot, coming to see one at an older age with actual critical knowledge of film and such, I was honestly surprised at the work that goes on. The characters are based around single personailty traits (Ego, fear, diligence, depression, ect.), a useful way of ingraing said characters in popculture and marketing, but are rounded enough that they can play off each other. Its a wonderfull synergy that keeps the pace, and its no wonder the cast has stayed the cultural icons they are.
Of course, it also helps that its running off of downright beautifull character animation. I cant say if that always been a constant (I'll probably be digging up as many of the older films as I can in the coming weeks), but its just top-notch work here. Its work like this that just brings a whole levels of exubrance to an animated feature.
Now, I know I said er... typed that dont feel like this film needs to be discussed beyond pure amusement, and its not like it doesn't have its flaws. The story doesn't really add up to much, the rotoscoped pieces of animation look damn out of place with everything else, and the whole conflict arises because no one knows reading and grammer comprehension beyond the 2nd grade. Also, to nitpick, I like Tom kenny, and while I felt he filled those big shoes well enough, I couldn't help but feel him as "that voice" instead of simply Rabbit.
But like I said, I dont think any of that truly matters in the end. Its doesn't feel like some arbitrary score sums up what this film does. Its an amusing tale told by some lovable characters and thats all that could possibly matter in a discussion of this film. I have a feeling thats what Winnie the Pooh has been as a series for a long time.
If your an animation junkie, if your a long time fan, if you've got kids, or if you simply want to watch an hour long piece of innocence, wimsy, and glee unfold before your eyes, then I highly recommend you just see it. You know, if you have any moolah left after the Harry Potter show.
If I had a scale, I would give it a :)
