How can one become a werewolf?:

2) Hereditary. The pact alters the DNA of the host, carrying the genes on a dominant allele.

Roughly 1.5 times the average human lifespan. They age slightly slower than the average human, though still remaining spry in their older years.
Mortality:
Their immune systems are resilient to most all canine and simian virus and disease, save few such as H1N5 and Wisteria. Their metabolisms are also greatly increased, leading to near instant recovery from wounds. However, this increases their need for food and water. All of this aside, they can be killed like any other mortal being.
Intelligence/self control:
Intelligence amongst Lycans is similar to that of humans; that is to say their recieve and retain information in similar ways. Due to their Lycan DNA, however, cerebral activities such as reaction time and sensory reception, and cerebellar activities such as motor skills, are tenfold greater than that of humans. Self control amongst the kin, however, takes much willpower. Because of their genetic composure, they are highly instinctual; however, their rationality and will are much stronger. Controlling the urge to give in to ferality takes intense mental stability. As such, some Lycans go feral with their first shift, remaining so until death. Posted 15 years agoI was at the bus station today, when a random woman stopped me to tell me how beautiful I was. I paused and looked at her confused for a second, and as if to assure me that she wasn't creeping me, she said "Don't worry, I'm a lesbian. I just thought I'd let you know." And so I smiled to her, thanked her, and walked in to the terminal to grab my ticket.

Posted 16 years agoSo, I was watching Destroyed in Seconds, and one of the incidents was an explosion caused by a gas inside a giant nylon cigarette igniting and causing an explosion. It happened when a man was cutting it in two, to symbolize the beginning of an anti-smoking ceremony... And he was using a dull knife... Cutting by the METAL frame...
That wasn't the stupid thing. The stupid thing was that the report as to how it happened was inconclusive... HOW could they not realize that dull knife + metal frame + friction = spark? And how could they not realize that spark + combustable gas = EXPLODING SHIAT?
I don't know. I saw that and wanted to call whoever filed the report and yell at them. :/

In other news; because I didn't go to work today, I stayed home and watched TV all day. And guess what was on? The Furry Episode of CSI. It's been a long time since I've seen it...
Anyways, I just wanted to say that the episode made us all look sooooooo weird.... I mean seriously! I was watching this thinking "Oh my Goddess, those people are freaks.... Wait a second; those are MY people?!?!?!?! AAAAAAAAAAAH!" Yeah. I have an awkward thought process... Anyways, I think the main guy is secretly a furry, and that's why he was defending them sooo much. That's all... ^^

I characterized my lack of friends and myself as furries, making each person the animal that I felt best described them. It wasn't even non-specific, like 'dog' or 'cat'. I went into full detail and found a specific species that described them. I was just a big nerd and knew a lot about animals when I was younger. As for my own, it was the same thing. I discovered other animals that I could relate to extremely closely, and found deep attachments to these animals.

Being around my boyfriend or online were I can be amongst people like me.

A long time ago. Like 10 years ago, when I found out that what I'd been drawing my friends and myself as actually had a fandom.

Well, I've always felt more attached to animals than humans. I boycotted myself from humans, mostly because EVERYONE hated me when I was growing up for being a singer. (I lived in a Hick town where everyone was a Jock, okay?) So I found attachments in animals. I guess it's mainly instinct, but I took after a lot of the animals as well, so slightly learned.

It made me hate the human race even more than I already did.

Yes. I found something that could help me escape the prejudiced society we all live in. It's fun, it's expressive, and it's extremely personal.

The fact that I hate humans. I got more attached to them, and found more similarities between them and myself than humans.
What opened my eyes to the furry fandom was the game Furcadia. My friend sent me a link to it, and we delved into that world. She later came to hate furries, while I am still one. So, yeah...

Everything I do is more animalistic than human. I am extremely alert when I sleep, like a Fox or a Wolf. I love wearing collars, partially because I think they are just plain sexy. Posted 16 years agoI am never trusting Beneful dog treats again. EVER again...
Luna had an allergic reaction (I think) after eating the treats; she had diarrhea, was puking up blood and bile, and couldn't keep anything down. And so I took the day off today to watch her.
She was extremely lethargic all day, lying down in random places, and not moving for long periods of time, save the random leg tremors she kept having. I was extremely worried; so I called the vet. She told me to keep an eye on her and monitor her bowel movements, as well as her attitude. And so I did.
She pretty much remained the same; until I took her for a quick walk to the mailbox. While there, she started trying to take a poop, and started bleeding from her anus. Delicious. Worried, I cleaned her up, and called the vet again. She told me to continue monitoring her over the day and night, give her water regularly, feed her if she feels like she's hungry, and take her in to the clinic tomorrow if she's still not better.
Well, to my pleasure, (and I'm sure, Luna's as well), she's back to her normal, lovable, puppy self, and is slowly regaining her appetite. But, just to be safe, I'm going to drop by the vet tomorrow to have her checked quickly.
P.S. Sorry for worrying any of you/disgusting you with the details, but I'm trying to get into the habit of posting journals more often now.

She was extremely lethargic all day, lying down in random places, and not moving for long periods of time, save the random leg tremors she kept having. I was extremely worried; so I called the vet. She told me to keep an eye on her and monitor her bowel movements, as well as her attitude. And so I did.
She pretty much remained the same; until I took her for a quick walk to the mailbox. While there, she started trying to take a poop, and started bleeding from her anus. Delicious. Worried, I cleaned her up, and called the vet again. She told me to continue monitoring her over the day and night, give her water regularly, feed her if she feels like she's hungry, and take her in to the clinic tomorrow if she's still not better.
Well, to my pleasure, (and I'm sure, Luna's as well), she's back to her normal, lovable, puppy self, and is slowly regaining her appetite. But, just to be safe, I'm going to drop by the vet tomorrow to have her checked quickly.
P.S. Sorry for worrying any of you/disgusting you with the details, but I'm trying to get into the habit of posting journals more often now.
