So... I was on a phone today regarding a position I wanted all my academic life. It's closer than it was and it's gonna be full time.

I'm gonna close what I owe before I full embrace it. But the question of commissions past a certain point of my academic career is debatable. Not that I don't like what I draw - the issue is related more to time constrains. I won't need the extra money most of the time (Sometimes I will want that extra cash for a commission or two). But honestly - don't really expect much past a certain point.

After a certain point I want to go back to writing/drawing Stellar Diaries and doing more demoscene content. With some random bondage pics there and there.

We had the funeral and the wake yesterday.

It was a hard goodbye for most of us, but at least she's at peace.

I had the first long sleep in a while after the funeral. I did manage to get something out of the system today, but I might need a day or two more before I go back working on comms. I hope you guys understand. Thank you for all the condolences and kind words, it's a very difficult time for us right now and things will never be the same. I always wonder if there is something else I could have done to prevented this but the more I think about it, the more I think there wasn't. Now it is time to heal.

So, for the past few days I've been dealing with the death-related stuff and I think my body finally realized that the adrenaline has ran out. Been sleeping or tired for the most of yesterday.

Funeral has been arranged (it's gonna be on Friday), forms filled. I still need to go into the morgue to ID the body, something I'm not looking to. Mom isn't doing too well and we still need to go through my grandma's stuff. Something I don't want to do.

It's hard for the family. I'm not gonna lie.

Yesternight around 10 PM I had to make the call that no one wants to make because my grandmother has collapsed in my arms.
Today at 7:30 AM (1 hour ago as of writing this journal) she passed away in intensive care.

Please don't send me condolences, this includes messengers. I appreciate them all, trust me. I just need time to process this on my own.

I'll be busy for the next week making funeral arrangements.

Leaving for demoparty tomorrow. Sadly didn't get any demos done because of a sickness earlier this month. But hey I hope I'll have a good time.

So I've been thinking about something lately - have few unfinished comics (Stellar Diaries not whitstanding. I plan to get back to it). Right now my issue is that well - I have no job other than churning out commissions everyday. Which means that freebies are gonna be rare.

But I do want to finish some of these horny comics but I would require some funding or at least some kind of a recoup of my time spent on these. I'm not sure what kind of a way would be the best for you, my fans.

Patreon is out of the picture due to privacy concerns. Subscribestar is cyclic I believe, might be my best bet but the payouts are kinda meh (no paypal). Boosty is kinda fucky and mostly associated with people from Russia, plus paypal doesn't work.

Maybe setting a ko-fi goal and chipping in would work?

I don't want to lock stuff behind paywalls because it's kinda eh, but I want a fair way to support/sponsor my work.

Fullscale painting - $125+ <- 1 character painting with detailed background that can include an amount of vague less-detailed characters. Additional characters cost $60 if they're not in a complex interaction, $80 if they're in a complex interaction.

Negotiable painting - $90 <- 1 character painting with vague or simple background. $60 for additional character regardless of interaction type.

Character sheet - $175 <- character sheet consisting of back and front shot, as well as additional details. Alt featuring clothes is also included in the price

Pixel art - $70+ <- Pixel art in specific style featuring a full scene. Price can be slashed if the only thing needed is a character drawing.

Transfer of ownership

I reserve all rights to the commissioned artpiece/artpieces. Buying a commission does not constitute the right transfer, read the copyright law.

Methods of payment and payments
I accept Paypal, donations through Ko-Fi system, Stripe and BLIK payments. Trade-ins for goods are also possible.

Payment is deducted upon the acceptance of the pose(s) sketch.

5% paypal handling fee should be added to each price when sending money directly through Paypal - you can thank Paypal for that idiocy.

Completion time

Completion time ranges from a month to over one year depending on the amount of work being put into the commission. I strive to deliver high quality stuff, so please bear with me as I try to come up with the most perfect depiction I can at the given moment.

Denial of display:

I may ask for the art not to be posted publicly, if the request is not adhered to, the commissioner will be no longer able to procure any more art from me.

Denial of service:

I reserve the right to deny service to certain individuals based on their previous history with me.
I also reserve the right to deny drawing their characters.
I reserve the right to deny drawing characters of other people unless their specific permission is obtained if the subject is particularly violent or abusive.

So there's been an issue with hiring for my new job. The procedure is painstalkingly long because guess what - it's a government job and that's all I can say about it.

My trip to Revision put me in serious red because I was told that by that time I would be hired. But nope. Con crud after returning from Revision didn't help either. And well there were other issues but.. I'm slowly working through the backlog that I have with most of you people and it's getting worked on dailybbasis. I have no plans for another demoparty other than Xenium so no big spending until June/July to book stuff for it.

However... there is an issue of people IRL that owe me money that also have a hard time getting the cash to pay me. That is what is fucking me over currently and currently I'm in a big debt. I'll be talking with them this weekend about possible payment plan they can arrange so I can get something out of all the work I've done.

Life sucks, what can I say and I'm holding on despite everything.

I'm finally back from Revision! Came back home on Tuesday but I had a bit of an allergy/con crud to take care of.

The demoparty was FANTASTIC and I've scored 2nd place in Fantasy Console compo with Rival's RE:FORM demo being on top. Paintover was only 8th but that's because I had many issues coming home from Friday (fuckings to the Shuttle company!!!).

I've met many new friends and re-connected with some old ones! It was really nice to drink, chat about art and programming. Or just bullshit about life!

Now I feel refreshed!

So yeah you probably wondered what was happening with me for the past few months. Well I got into a legal battle over my intellectual property, which I eventually... well winning is a very strong term here. Let's say I've outmanoeuvred my opponent due to his own idiocy of not filling out paperwork properly. Not sure if that stupid crackhead that is trying to fuck me over is gonna try shit again but yeah. That's what's life has been.

The issue is: He thinks I owe him for years of him being my thesis supervisor. I owe him my work, my inventions, my ideas. Fuck that noise. All he can get from me is a kick in the rear. Stupid crackhead even pulled the dean into this. And if you're wondering why I keep calling him crackhead? I had to bail him out from a loony bin twice when he got high on PCP. That was when he was my thesis supervisor. Amphetamine and Es also ate what little intellect he had so right now he's thinking of just stealing other people's ideas.

Oh and I'm still having problems with employment transition due to some paperwork BS with money on my bank account running out (It's dire as it is). So yeah, splendid time for me eh? I rarely bitch and complain about my life situation but I think you should probably know that I was not exactly in a very creative mood lately.

If I owe you stuff yeah, please I ask you for a little more patience as I'm working full time on wrapping up my owed shit.

Oh and if you want to know - this shit has been going on since March. I'm just getting so fucking tired.

We've met in a God-forsaken channels called #lobby and #maleyiff back in Yiffnet/Furnet days. We eventually were buddies, talked a whole lot. We had our disagreements and drifted far away, then back together than further away because well.. internet has changed. And it was harder to cross our paths when internet got bigger.

I never remembered him as a bad person, quite the contrary. I always regarded him as a friend. He was just a person that wanted company and sometimes overlooked how rotten that company was, much to his own peril.

I have to say - despite all the hurt and all the malice I have received for the last 11 years I finally managed to get that PhD of mine. Would that be 11 wasted years? Not really, I've learnt a lot on my own, soared new heights, and found new interesting venues I could work with.

There's still many years to go and there's always something new around the corner. So I look to the future with hope.

As you remember I've made a journal in January about me being out of the job by the end of March. Well yeah that happened but there's a bit more to it. Me and my now ex-boss got a into a little fight (non-physical). Well not only me and him but also few other people. It really fucked my mood in March and a good part of April. I'm not gonna go into details because well... confidential.

That's kinda why I've been struggling. My headspace just wasn't that good. Plus I had to go on a conference in the middle of April (It actually turned out to be a good idea. It let me rest a bit and get away from the drama).

But what happened in the mean time is that I got a job offer and boy howdy! It's a great one! And it will make use of my recently acquired degree.

While the financial future for May is gonna suck ass (no money other than some savings. If you're feeling generous or inclined to help out you can always drop few bucks through shinies or Ko-Fi). June is gonna be where it improves and after that... a steady job.

...which well... I probably need to talk a bit more about something. If I get a steady job I'll most likely focus on demoscene and my comic, leaving zero to no time for FUTURE commissions, sans rare occasions. Prices might be raised for that too because time will be precious.

I just want to be very coming forward with this so that people won't get too upset when I will close up shop for long periods of time. But this is still the future and until I get a contract - that remains the uncertain future.

But what's good is that I'm gonna be rid of my asshole ex-boss and probably have better mental state after years of abuse suffered from his hand.
