Sad friend update
Posted 12 years agoWelp, I found this out two days ago, but I had to wait until I was alright to post it.
My friend and co-worker Ken, has Cancer. Well, found out it has gotten to his bones. If the chemo, radiation and bone marrow transplant don't take, he has a year or less to live.
If everything does take, he was given 8 years or so.
Just very heavy and sad news weighing on my heart. I'm hoping the best for him and that some type of treatment can be found.
Damn Cancer, I hate that crap.
Please, keep him and his husband in your prayers (if you pray).

Got great news, I'm going to be an aunt.
Then, found out a couple minutes ago a close friend of ours, Dave, is in the hospital after having had a heart attack.
I mean, wtf day. Now I'm all stressed and worried.
Plus, I'm seeing the RA doctor again tomorrow and a high school friend I have not seen since 1997.
My nerves are such I just want to shake and cry and sleep, all at the same time.
Got great news, I'm going to be an aunt.

Got to suit quite a bit! Even tried dancing in suit. LOL DO NOT jump up and down, waving a glow stick, if you have arthritis. All I'm going to say is my knees and legs were pissed after that adventure.
Got to meet some lovely furs I know on here! Katalina I met at AC last year, we BOTH lost each others info so I was very happy to see her so we could keep in touch this time. lol silly kitties.

KemarCyri like literally, at the very end of the con. lol Bad timing but hey least we saw each other.

DashaRhosenwyn is a very sweet lady in person! I got an awesome quilted wall hanging from her. She does some wonderful stuff and I enjoyed getting to know her.If there are others, I'm so sorry! My head feels like a brick right now. ugh

Posted 12 years agoWell, got my test results back from the doctor.
Seems I don't have RA or Lupus or anything else they tested for. In fact, he's not sure why I'm so tender and sore.
I am taking anti inflammatory meds and they seem to be helping.
Just wish I knew what I have.

Posted 12 years agoSo, I was working with Elisa today. I had to clean her up, trim her nails and tidy up her house. (Buns are NOT Easter pets by the way, SO much care is involved.)
Anyway, I thought her markings and her angora fluff would make an awesome suit!
Now unfortunately I really want to see her as a suit. Wish I could! I told Brandon though and he put his foot down. Three is enough I guess, lol.

Posted 12 years agoUpdate after seeing the RA specialist:
Saw Dr. Flickinger, nice man. He did blood work, did x-rays on my hands and examined me. Also informed me I have protein in my urine, thanks family doctor for not mentioning that.
So far, he doesn't think it's RA, which is good. Should be getting the test results later this week or Monday. That will give an idea of where to go next. Waiting on getting meds until the protein issue gets straightened out. Doesn't want to put me on something that could cause issues without knowing what is fully going on.
