Workin' on a diptych.
Posted 12 years agoSo, I have this show in Lake Oswego coming up. I am going to submit a few drawings (probably portraits), and a set of pet portraits I am doing in the sorta-style of renaissance icons, complete with gold foil.
Of course, a few days ago, I royally screwed up and accidentally gold foiled one of the dog's heads...and had to sand and repaint. Talk about cutting it close! Submission is this weekend, and I have spent a lot of time at work. (and wasting time on the computer)
So hopefully the pair will come together quickly in the next few days and I can stop stressing. I would really love to sell something at this show, as I am so low on funds it's scary!
Speaking of funds, I need to get ready for work. Meh. Night shift and then a day shift sucks.

Hello, FA.
Posted 12 years agoWhat's up Fur-People?
I'm not really sure how to work things around here yet, so I'm just dipping my feet in a little at a time. I'm mostly a traditional artist from Ohio (currently in Oregon) and I do a lot of pet portraits and miniatures. My friend DaSkruff told me to get my arse over here, so here I am.
I don't have a lot of my full size work on my computer, but much of what I am posting are actually miniatures, so full size is not too far from actual size.
I hope I can keep up posting a few things a day. Right now I am working on a Doberman/Pomeranian pair of Medieval icons for a show here in Oregon. In fact, I am about to put on the second layer of gold leaf!
