Seeking pride designs
Posted 7 years agoSo pride month is fast approaching, and I'm looking to add to my collection of pride-colored designs! I have a few bi-colored designs, but nothing with the nonbinary colors yet.
I'm looking for:
-designs with bi pride or nonbinary pride colors (design doesn't have to be labeled/intended to be a pride design, as long as it matches the color scheme pretty well I'll be happy)
-animal designs (either feral or anthro, can also be fantasy or one-off designs)
-preferably premade designs, but I might consider customs
-has marking shapes that look "natural" (for example, tiger stripes or leopard spots rather than hearts)
I'm NOT looking for:
-Closed species/ARPG type designs
-Humans/humanoid/anime
-A design that's just the flag color stripes/gradients and no other markings
-Preferably nothing that's too chibi/cartoony-looking, but I'm willing to look past that for the right design
I would prefer to trade art or designs, but will can offer cash via paypal for the right design. I have designs available here, here, and here. I'm also willing to do custom designs!
For some visual examples of the kind of designs I like, check out my current collection.
Thanks for looking!

Cosmic Portrait Commissions [one slot - OPEN]
Posted 7 years agoHey all!
I had a blast making my most recent piece, and I'd like to do more. For now, I'm only opening one slot at a time since I will be moving at an indefinite point in the next few months and things might go haywire. A slot is available for $25 USD via Paypal. If you want two characters, it'd be $35. The finished piece would look similar to this - it will feature a headshot of your character. They will be surrounded by stars and nebulas (colors/mood of your choosing), will fade into the background and have stars within them like a constellation. They can be exhaling stars and/or nebulas if you'd like, though I don't want to draw any exhaling a void like in the image below, since that ties in a lot symbolically with my personal character. I'll draw any animal - feral preferred but anthro is fine as well!
If you're interested, please send me a note and we can work out details! Expected turnaround time is 2-3 weeks (but might take me less) - if anything comes up and it'll take longer, I'll send you wips and keep you updated.

Side account
Posted 12 years agoTaking this opportunity to announce my side account,
ikraeha. It's all personal art featuring this character, maybe with a few others tossed in every now and then. I'll explore some mature/dark stuff on that account, along with more general stuff, but everything on there will be personal, possible vent-ish art. If you like deer, you'll probably like that account. If not...you're out of luck on that one.

Posted 14 years agoI've gotten some questions from people asking me how I made my yarn tails. I've only made two so far, so my method may not be perfect, but it seems to work just fine. My method's a combination of two tutorials I found + what felt right. I figured I'd post this for any who are interested in trying their hand at it. It's pretty easy and fun. I've found a new hobby to do while watching tv.
I used these two tutorials as inspiration:

http://www.jelliclecostumes.com/Tai.....ails_yarn.html
-First, gather supplies. You need yarn, a slicker brush (http://www.jemarpet.com/images/Slicker%20TC.jpg), and scissors.
-Cut three lengths of yarn a few inches longer than you want the tail to be. These will be the base. Tie a knot at the top and then braid the length of the yarn, tying a knot at the bottom too. Then, take the top and make a loop and tie it, so that you have a loop to feed a belt through.
-Tie another knot at the bottom. Make sure it's thick enough that the yarn you tie around the base won't slide off.
-Next, take the yarn and wrap it around your palm ten times. Cut it off with the scissors. These pieces will be the fur.
-Take two segments of yarn, hold them together (as though they were one unit) and tie them so they are centered around the base. Just one knot is enough.
-Repeat this with the remaining segments of yarn. Turn the tail ΒΌ turn each time so that the yarn is spaced out evenly.
-Unravel all the yarn.
-Take the slicker brush and brush out the yarn out in sections until it looks like fur and there are no clumps. A lot of fuzz will come off on the brush. This is normal. Then when you are done, brush the fur in the direction you want it to go.
-Repeat these steps until you reach the top of the tail. Then you're done! Feel free to change colors as you go and experiment with patterns.
