Of me ever being able to keep up with my inbox, I swear. Over 1000 submissions to look through. And every time I try I lose steam. :| Well, if anyone is wondering about month late favorites, this is why.

I also am considering finding a new job. I... I'm not sure I can take it much longer where I work, honestly. So, I am wanting to put together a cosplay of my character Veritas Dethae. Yes, my angsty, eye-patched, demon kemonomimi character. I found a perfect wig; and I will either need to learn how to sew to make the clothing, or commission the clothing from someone else... But I am at an utter loss on how or where to go to get the ears and tail done. :| I can draw up references of how I want them to look, but I'm really unsure of exactly where to go to commission someone to do them for me. :| I want something high quality that won't fall apart after a few uses. =__= And I'm wondering if the tail can even be done. xD; He does not have an easy tail at all.

Since I often lack creative ideas for drawing fanart, and half the time just drawing the character standing there looking cool gets a little old, I figured I'd open up a requests journal so that you people can fling requests and ideas at me.

So, again, I didn't really widely broadcast the fact that I was having tooth troubles again. I tend to keep those little qualms between me, my family and a few friends. However; it had finally reached the breaking point on Saturday, where I was reduced to going to die on my bed every few minutes between helping my family members do an instance on WoW. I was completely miserable and ended up brushing my teeth about 6 times just to make the pain in my tooth subdue. It wouldn't have been all bad if the pain hadn't also gone into my ear. Come the next day there were still slight, similar pains, but for the most part I was fine, I just tried to avoid doing anything to cause it again.

When I woke on Tuesday; the pain was completely different. Now it hurt to bite down on the tooth, and any time I did I would visibly jump and cringe because it was a shocking, instant pain. It didn't hurt nearly as bad, but it did make chewing or biting very, very difficult. Thank goodness for my mother who shredded up a piece of chicken so I could have what she and my dad were having. xD I think I still swallowed most of it whole. Wheeee.

This left me with little to no decision of what to do though. I HAD to get it taken out, lest it abscess like my last tooth (on the same damn side mind you) and cause even further, possibly life threatening problems. Bare in mind that I've been trying to save money for my vacation in June and had about $356 amassed that I was sitting on... The extraction was to cost $200 at the minimum. So, I got my butt to the dentist today and after much hassling with the tooth (which for the love of god would NOT numb for the longest time)it was all over, thank god. The tooth came out in two pieces; it pretty much split the root in half... Woo. But here comes the fun part... It cost $326 for the whole thing... Which puts me at $30 until my next paycheck which I will not get until the Tuesday after next... and even then I have my monthly/biweekly bills to cover. So the chance of gaining back the money I need to have a bit of fun while on vacation seems a little dire at the moment. If I didn't have the self control to not insistently worry over it, I'd probably give myself and ulcer. lol

Otherwise, all goes well. Been playing WoW with my family, that is my mom, dad, and uncle, and have been enjoying the interaction. It's refreshing. ;3 And otherwise working on art (a large commission for a person on Gaia. Sooooo close to nearing completion with the lineart... Just need to do her tail, the rest of her hair and her wings... Wish me luck.) and going to work, of course. Hahaha. I've been on aim off and on, though I feel bad when I play WoW and chat at the same time. (Also, some of my friends seem to not take notice that I am around even though I'm available half the time. I don't mind nudges, I promise. Unless you want me to nudge you, but you gotta tell me, or I'll feel like a pest. lol)

...mother of fucking hell. *pushes other journal out of the way* I know that a bunch of people have talked about it already... But I got to see Avatar with my parents and... MY FUCKING LORD... Beautiful, beautiful movie. I haven't been so emotionally moved by a movie in a very long time. Just... wow. It was perhaps, one of the most epic, fantastic movies I have ever seen. Anyone who tries to say that the plot is 'cliche', really needs to open their eyes... Or just shut up. *laughs* I found nothing about the plot line that was cliche at all. Unless you include the romance. But, I'd like someone to point out any movie that does not, in some small way, include 'love', in any form. Sure, it's in everything, but my personal opinion about love, is that it is a very big factor in the lives of many people. It's what drives a lot of humanity; and a story without it is really... Well, almost pointless in a way. But perhaps I just feel too much. lol

I'm running on about 6 1/2's of sleep, a 7 1/2 work day, and the movie. But I don't want to sleep, even as the fatigue is smacking me in the face again. It was just... Ugh, I want to go watch it again. And... I'm so absolutely tempted to create my own Na'vi... Absolutely, mother-fuckin' tempted. D: We shall see if it comes to pass though. For the sake of not completely over populating myself with males, my first Na'vi at least, if I create one, will be female. Haha

But yes. This was a nice pick me up in one way (even though I cried many times while in the theater) since some recent events have occurred relationship wise.(let's just say I'm single again. To be honest, I've been mulling over this question for the last couple of months, upon realizing that my tablet pen was slowly going to hell. It's not so much that it isn't working properly; though it was giving me a hell of a time last night while I worked on the WoWxchange art; but that the sleeve around the buttons is literally falling to pieces(you know it's sorta cushy so your finger doesn't die while drawing), and the shell of the pen is cracked. The nub also wants to go further into the body of the pen now, probably because the shell is cracked and thus allows the top part of the pen to be removed from the lower part... and thussss. lol

I have two options as far as I can see.
Retired my lovely 8x6 Graphire Tablet that still works fine, and get a Bamboo Fun Tablet which measures smaller.

OR

Buy a new pen for the tablet.


The last time I looked for a pen for my Graphire Wacom said it would be able $60-$70 to replace it. Which baffles me, considering the whole package was in the $250 range when my parents bought it.

The Bamboo tablets (which are by Wacom), are $100.


I'm not quite sure which way to turn, considering that my Graphire works fine though it is four years old, and it's just the pen giving me hell. I'd feel bad retiring the poor thing since it still is in working condition. Plus I'd miss the clear cover over it where I can stick pictures underneath, something I am well aware that the Bamboo tablets do not have.

So, what do you guys think?

I am currently pulling my hair out as I worry over every little thing at the moment. Jacon is less than 6 days away, and everything that can go wrong IS going wrong. My boss almost forgot that I was off next week; leading to a fair amount of drama; since she had told my Aunt (that works at the same place that I do) that I "had time" over the last weekend to get a-hold of her to talk about it. First of all, it was SUPER busy this last weekend, as I've already related in my last journal. Also, I didn't know she forgot until I was looking at the new schedule on Saturday. <_<; When the fuck did I have time? Anyway, she said that to my Aunt; but when she talked to me personally she told me everything was alright, blah blah. WTF... Things like this make me want to quit again. I'll start looking for a new place of work, hopefully one closer to home, after I spend a couple of weeks with my dear  Ninjirates.

Since they would be an hour or two ahead. Needless to say, it's impossible to make the flight. So, since I'm doing this through Travelocity, I called up customer support to get a change of flight. After about an hour on the phone trying to figure things out, I was finally given a new flight, blah blah; and the person that I was speaking with said they would send a conformation email about the new flight; saying it would arrive in 5 to 10 mins. That was last night at 2am. It still has not showed up; and I've checked my email, both junk mail as well as normal mail many times. I hope and pray that either the itinerary on the main Travelocity site updates or I get the Email, because otherwise I'm completely fucked. -_-;

Just RAWR. As if I'm not scared enough of flying alone and creepy people; now I'm worried about having to buy a new flight the day before I leave. D8 I have a chunk of money just in case I need to do so, but that certainly doesn't mean that I DO want to. Gah.

At any rate, I hope everything works out, because I'm not sure how much my brain and heart can take before I just wig out completely and have a break down or some such thing. xD It shouldn't be this goddamned difficult.

Mother's Day weekend is finally over. That means the aching heap that my body currently is can finally rest up and get prepared for other events. (Hopefully none soon though) If I wasn't so exhausted I will tell you how badly my feet have ached and throbbed the last two days or how insane it was. For all of those that do not know, I work at a small (small house size) tea house and restraunt. A majority of the front is a "gift" shop of sorts while the entire back end is the restraunt. It's a very quaint place, especially if you are looking for something a little Victorian and a little mish-mashed. It's certainly more fun to eat there than it is to work there.

Anyway, the place is small, and I think, if all seats are filled, it can hold around 50-60 maybe 70 at the most. I may be giving in more credit than there actually is though. Anyway, on Saturday there were 217 people; I went in at 10am and did not leave until 9pm... As you can imagine, I was very, very tired. Sunday/Today there were roughly 250+ people; I went in at 9:30am and did not leave until 7:00pm (only because we closed earlier today)... My body aches, I'm constantly on a cement floor so my feet ached; until just a bit ago (Mmmm... soaked in hot water...), and I am covered in war scars. (biffs, bashes, and lacerations.)

I think my biggest bitch... Is that I worked 11.17 hours on Sat. with only half an hour break and 9.60 hours on Sun/Today with only a... half an hour break. <_<; Shouldn't we get at least an hour break for that? Seriously? -_-;;;

But yes... It is finally over, tomorrow I have the day off, then it's straight back to work on Tuesday. I'm just glad it's gone for another year. There is nothing enjoyable about this particular weekend.

Out of general curiosity; I decided to download PWI. I had to wait about two hours for it to download. and then waited for it to install and such. (the latter didn't take long) Upon it completion I waited for it to update the patches and such, and then logged in.

I will say that I can appreciate the character renderings (though I really don't give a shit how realistic/shiny character models are) and how varied you can make their faces and hair, and the like. It's a bit different than WoW in that aspect, let me tell you.

But where WoW "lacks" in unlimited character customization, it makes up for in game play. PWI's gameplay isn't smooth at all; jerky and odd at best. And I find it irritating that the character will actually run up to get close enough to attack something; instead of requiring the player to get close enough to send out the bolt of magic or wail on the enemy with melee attacks. I miss my character yelling at me because I'm not close enough to attack the enemy. XD

I do appreciate that there is a quest tracker automatically built in; though it doesn't tell you where it is like QuestHelper does for WoW. (I know QH is an addon. But seriously) it just gives the general area. No icons or anything to point you in the right direction. (Then again quest helper puts little icons on the map, but it usually just means the creatures are in that general area; not just around the icon.)

If the jerkiness of the game play wasn't irritating enough for me; then the total rendering certainly adds to it. While I find it pretty; I also find it a bit much with how EVERYTHING glows. It's like wearing rose tinted glasses. XD Everything is perfect. I can imagine that I would get eye fatigue after just a few hours on the game; where as the use of color combination and such in WoW are nice; toned down, and never lead to me needing to take a break from the screen.

Character interaction is better in PWI, though. People can actually pick you up, carry you around; probably actually hug and kiss you too. Where as in WoW, there's a general set of actions and voice emotes. Some actions are only text in the chat box; which makes it more like roleplaying than actual interaction.

WoW, in my honest opinion is easier to get a feel for. There's something intimidating and awkward about the layout of quests; trying to find your questgiver afterward, and even doing the quests themselves. I'm torn between calling the game boringly easy and frustratingly hard. I also fail to love how one moves around the map. I'm used to using either my mouse (both the right and left mouse button at the same time to run) or the arrow keys. As far as I know, there is a click to move option on WoW; but I have never used it. In PWI that is all there is, other than the WASD keys; neither of which I am comfortable with using.

I could get into city layouts; lack of monster threat even if they are a level or two above you, lack of LORE, lack of race choices, etc... But I don't really feel like it.

So... All things given. I'm sticking to WoW. I'll fool around with PWI some; if only to have fun with friends who outright hate or cannot afford WoW. Things are pretty; extra character customization is wicked; however I think I will stick with my Blood Elves, Night Elves, and Trolls.
