That Weasyl thing.
Posted 11 years agoWelp. Seems like some dramaz is going down on here. Although I'm sure I, nor anyone else, knows exactly what's going on, I'm not sure I'm entirely comfortable with staying on here.
I've made myself an account on that Weasyl thing everyone keeps talking about. It's actually pretty neat, to be honest. I quite like it. :) My page is here: www.weasyl.com/~sybrant
I'll still be online here to check notifications and look at all the snazzy pictures I get in my inbox, of course. But I'm not sure if I'll post much here anymore (not that I do anyway!). Just to let you guys know though.

Happy new year, and EF!
Posted 12 years agoHello there, fluffy people. :)
Just a general journal to say happy new year to everyone. I'm personally hoping 2014 goes a hell of a lot better for me than 2013 did, but heyho.
Also, EF20 registration opens on the 18th! *bounces*
Ti and I have already booked our flights (because we are optimistic bastards), and we'll be doing Early Arrival this year, because flight timings meant we'd miss the opening ceremony otherwise, and also because everyone did Early Arrival last year :P
I'm looking forward to seeing the Estrel, as it looked awesome in the teaser video. I'm also actually really glad about the change in the reg system this year. Everyone else seems to hate it, but for me it's like, 7 extra months to save up for the hotel cost~ :D Because I definitely couldn't afford to pay it all in advance by the end of this month, without digging into savings.
I'dve liked to have a new fursuit for EF this year, but I am lazy and poor. I could probably whip up a bodysuit and new feetpaws and tail in that time I guess. Definitely not a new head though. I hated making the head anyway. Hrmmm. Sucks. I will see what I can do. I reeeeally want a bodysuit and new feetpaws/tail, particularly after my design change.
Anyway, pup out!

Fursuit - crits wanted on my old one!
Posted 12 years agoHey guys!
Well, the time has come where I'm looking at building a new suit. Although the old one took ages to make, and got a few outings, I've now got to the point where I see too many flaws in it to want to wear it much.
I'm aware of quite a few issues within the suit itself, but obviously I've never seen it from an outsider's perspective. So, for those of you who have seen me suit (or even those who haven't but have seen pics - http://sybrantwolfeh.tumblr.com/ has a few, along with my WIPs), could you comment below with anything you think needs doing differently in a V2?
The problems I am aware of are as follows:
- Legs are difficult to put on/do not stay up well. I'll be making a fullsuit for my V2.
- Muzzle is oddly shaped. Needs definition where it meets the head, in particular.
- Markings asymmetrical on the face.
- Eyes will probably need doing differently, as they are have different curvatures to each other. Iris/pupil area will be circular in V2.
- Inner ears not well defined - use of fleece instead of shaved fur might make that better.
- Human mouth visible if I open my maw too wide. No ideas on how to fix that yet though.

Posted 13 years agoI've noticed journals coming up recently in regards to Confuzzled 2013, so thought I should post something in the same vein.
Sadly, Confuzzled falls into my uni exam period this year, so I'm probably unable to go, and due to the rising cost of tickets, Ti seemed less interested in going this year too.
However! Eurofurence pleasingly falls in the middle of my summer holiday, and really isn't all that much more expensive to go to, so I'm saving up my moneys, and waiting for reg to open.
So, hopefully, TiWolf and I shall be floofing this August in Magdeburg. :)
S'gonna be my first con. Excited wolf is excited! *wags*

HAI DERE!
Posted 13 years agoEh heh, sorry about spamming journals, but I wanted to get my commission prices up first so I could mess around with my user page in a sec.
But yush. I shall now muse.
I'm moving out to uni on Sunday, so ALL the things are occurring - packing, sorting, panicking...
On a completely seperate note, I'd like to start doing more with traditional mediums, but don't really know where to start. :P I've had a dabble in acrylics, but I only currently own black, white, and two shades of orange, as I bought these colors for my fursuit-building enterprise, and now have a load left. It'd be nice to do more in acrylics, but no money. :(
I've also recently got myself a set of markers. :D
Sadly I'd need to buy a whole lot more before I can have much fun with them. I only have one shade of each rainbow color, plus one brown, one grey and black... I'll buy more as and when I can afford it.
I looked into something called ACEOs tonight, which looks pretty cool. If anyone wants a trade sometime, I'll try and doodle something up. :)
Also want to start making conbadges to sell, but atm I haven't got a hole punch suitable, and I seem to have misplaced the laminating pouches.
Hopefully these things will work themselves out though...
I like trains.
Hope to get some more photos of SybrantFursuit soon. I was suiting at the London meet on Saturday, so if I got snapped, the pics should be up in the next few days. :)
And I've run out of ramblings. Hmnh.
Bye!~~
