Its deep man. I always think "what if i never bought art" and imagined how much money id have saved by now. I mean its really just art, i cant play with it or do anything but start conversations.

Dont worry, i usually convince myself that the artists needed the money more

And thats kinda why i still do it. I want to support my artist friends and help them out because they depend on us to thrive. Plus i like my characters

Now i usually dont talk money cause thats a douche move but

I make about 800 a paycheck twice a month. so 1600. 300 goes to bills (i live with my mom and pay for phone and internet and should pay insurance) and id say anywhere between 50-100 for food each check. so ill say 100 (always plan to spend less so youre more cautious and end up spending less) so 1100 is left after food and bills. you gotta save some money for god knows what in the future. emergencies. i try to shoot for 200 ish a check and not go over that. leaves me 700 to save

of course this isnt accurate but its a general idea. I plan my commissions ahead of time before i get paid and treat them kinda like bills

So when people ask me to get art with them, its not that i dont want to. Id love to get art with people! Im just so routinely planned that im always prepared to spend and dont got the space unless i wanna spend extra. So i hope this better explains how i work in the art community and i apologize if you want art with me

With so many artists in my dms i honestly am booked weeks ahead. plus waiting 2 weeks to buy art is a killer for getting art with others

Maybe its just these hard times, but with a lot of artists just not drawing or most turning to slots its getting hard to be a commissioner. Its getting me to start thinking about saving my money for more.... i dont want to say important and imply that arent isnt important, but i suppose useful things?? Maybe travelling the world or buying adult essentials or other things. It just dawns on me sometimes of how much ive spent on art and how much I would have if i never did. I dont want to be impatient or anything, but with all the art delays im at the point of just not buying art and buying games or something else to do. Idk just deep thots

Just think it would be a cool idea to show all the small artists trying to make a living some appreciation. Its hard to be an artist in this fandom, or in general, with so many choices of artists out there. Of course everyone would go for the really good artists or the popular artists, but those small people have to start somewhere and try to make a name for themselves, and they need our help to commission them and help give them that motivation to draw and improve their skill with every art.

But is anyone else kinda annoyed about hype behind things? Movies, Games, Music, etc? Like when its talked about so much you just want them to shut up cause youve heard it already??

Then theres another thing ive noticed in the 2 years ive been in this fandom, but why do 9/10 furries always hype up about games that either have animals, or anthros in them? even if its just one single character and theyre all like "OMG ITS THE BEST GAME EVER I CANT WAIT"

Yes this has part to do with Animal Crossing, at least as of now. No hate! Ive never played them so I have no opinion on the game!!

Another example i keep thinking of is Borderlands 3 and FL4K. Yknow why? Cause he has pets. every single damn furry just kept talking about him and its kinda annoying. Ive specifically avoided playing him cause its kinda burned me out already

You ever just wish that sometimes people would leave you alone? Im not talking just anyone. i mean those people who only send emotes, one words, or just dont even reply.

I work overnights so i sleep from about 12pm-9pm. i get home about 8am. that leaves a 4hr window to socialize and i treasure that time. But im tired of being teased and taunted and just having people waste my time and bringing my hopes up when they just let me down. i just want them to stay out of my life honestly. its frustrating
