Ok, it's been a loooong time... a year judging by my last journal.

I'm in a rough spot, I need help. Both my fiance and I got laid off and I'm desperately
needing some income. I don't have all my supplies handy, but I got paper and my trusty
pencil so I can do sketches and probably pencil colored/ink lined. If anyone is interested,
prices are negotiable. At this point I just need anything I can get. Just be fair on the price
your willing to pay. I will even mail the original if you wish, though tell me that you're
wanting that when you commission me so I can make sure it's on cardstock paper.

I know many of you may have forgotten me, I wasn't really well known when I was here a few years ago, but those of you that I called friends hopefully will.

I should probably say what's going on.
1) My boyfriend of almost 2 years was laid off a couple months ago, and the boss from there hates my bf for raising through the ranks too fast, seriously, a major promotion in a month, and another one a couple months after that... it rubbed them the wrong way. So now he's being black balled and can't find work because, legal or not, that boss is talking trash about my bf when employers try to get reference for his time there. (though he MIGHT be getting a job at a local Ford dealer, just heard this morning that that might be a possibility)
2) My bf's mom, my eventual Mother-In-Law, is seriously ill. She seems to be recovering (but that could change any time), but we (Jason, Leah & Destinie his daughters, and I) are needing to make 4 hour round trip trips to see her as she had to be taken 2 hours away to a really great hospital. And with my pay check not covering the bills as it is, you can understand how hard this makes things.
3) My grandma is possibly dying in a nursing home 4 hours away and I need to go see her before she passes, I'm going this weekend.
4) My grandma's sister, my great aunt, is in a nursing home 5 hours away with terminal spinal cancer and while I go to see my grandma, I'm going to go say goodbye to her as well.
5) This one isn't a reason for money, but just to express how horrid the last couple weeks have been. One of our 4 ferrets died Saturday night. My bf and I are a mess right now.

I hate asking for handouts, don't take me wrong, I'm not too proud to take them, but it still bothers me to do so. But I really need help right now.

And it's not exactly handouts that I'm asking for. I'm asking to work for some money (and I'm needing to raise at least $1000, hopefully more than that as some bills need to be back paid). I'm opening up digital or traditional commissions. I will stream the digital and take frequent photos of traditional.

I'm going to be up front here, I'm starting at $5 busts. With that, please remember you're paying $5, don't expect photo quality detail. You are free to add a 'tip' to the $5 if you're feeling generous. If you are wanting a more complex picture, I will take those commissions as well.

Alright. Went into this a bit in another journal, general outline of idea: Possibly have a job soon, so my warrant fine stuff will be taken care of with that, and if I end up with extra during arting then the sooner it will be taken care of. Os, my boyfriend, suggested that my arting should pay for "fun stuff/reward yourself things" for being good about being productive. So, in that line of thought. TRADES
On the matter of Trades, I really rarely do them, but I have in the past. If you don't mind me declining without throwing a fit, then send me a note with a reference link and/or description to what you're wanting me to draw... and a ref link and/or description of what you're offering in return.


REQUESTS
I very very very rarely do Requests. Now... sometimes a character catches my eye, and I'd be willing to draw that character for my own amusement, but honestly, that's pretty rare. You can feel free to send me a link to a character you're interested in having me draw, but please understand that it's really up to my "fancy" which can be fickle at times and I don't want to hurt any feelings if I return a reply telling you that the character just doesn't catch my attention. If you're okay and mature enough to take me telling you no at that stage without throwing a fit, then by all means, show me who you're interested in me drawing. Please keep in mind, that if I'm interested, it may be months before I actually draw the character, if ever, it is up to my fickle fancy.


SUGGESTIONS
Now here's some fun. Have any ideas that you think would be good with my style of art? Or maybe you could just imagine "that character" and "that other character" together? Or perhaps a clothing item that would be just perfect for ___? You know, anything that maybe I haven't thought of that you think I might like. How I'm working the spur of the moment commissions:
I'll be working on a "what you think I deserve" basis. You say "I want to buy a slot". I say "Slot goes to ___". You tell me what you want. I sketch it out. You pay me a min of $5. (please be fair, a bust sketch is appropriate for $5... but a full body sketch should be worth more to you than $5) Something like my Profile ID would be $10 or so :). If you leave before I start your piece, then you lose your place in line. I will take payment when piece is done (don't take a slot and not pay me, I don't want to be one of those that gets ripped off and demands payment prior to arting ever, I want to trust my fans) because I don't want to owe art, it sucks the joy out of it for me knowing that I have to get on and owe someone something they have payed for.

Hell my poor brain. Trying to pay attention to each artist's page, seeing ones that are banned or moved that I didn't know about, finding people have just up and left and deleted ALL their art... and then having to decide to not rewatch some of them because their art just isn't in a direction that I want to see in my submission list... And not rewatching people that I apparently added when they watched me because I don't want to have tons of people in my list that I don't know and don't do any art, yet still adding people that I personally know that also don't post art... feels like a double standard. :(
