I'm a pretty hardcore fan of Alice in chains anyone knowing me personally should know this. At first glance I had the same thought as anyone else would to someone stepping in the shoes of the former lead singer of a band, thought no one could take Layne's place. After giving the 2 released tracks so far, A Looking In View, and Check my Brain. I can say i'm pleased with Duvalls vocals and think they fit pretty damn well honestly. Now that I'm past this stepping stone the next thing is to accept that Sir Elton John is on one of the tracks.. only time (late Sept) will tell and I can give an opinion on this. Although I hate to admit Laynes gone and that much has changed in between that time and now I'm happy that at least William Duvall can pull off the old songs and he lends his vocals very to the new material.
