As a few of you know, my ugee m708 tablet,s pen died a few days back.
I wrote a letter to the person(persons?) about my broblem. Here is the response:
"hi dear friend ,maybe the pen is bad ,could you please buy a replacement, have a nice day"
Well, thank you for the big nothing!

So I did order a new pen, from China... It is in a shortinh center so maybe it will arrive in 10-15 days.

And the good news: I resurrected my old Genius EasyPen i405. Only needed to install 3 drivesr and 2 PC restarts.
Work in progress again!

My ugee 708 pen died and I cannot use my genious easypen 405. Right now i try to download its driver but it says it will be ready after an hour! 60 MB in an hour wait FFS! Igave up. So I cannot work right nao! Sorry :(

I got a new Ugee 708 tablet and it's working fine in PS but in Krita have a problem.
Whenever I click on a brush the hoovering function won't work. Drawing, pressure, clicking fine and dandy but the thoovering.
It's really holds me back since I can't make accurate strokes. Feels so dumb that the brush cursor isn't moving with hoovering.

Some said use Krita 2.9, but the problem is still there. In PS CS6 it's working nice.

Anyone had similar problem?

I was wondering, do you use any alternative methods to avoid using PayPal? Until now I was satisfied whit PayPal, but I have heard stories when PayPal become a dick and locjed the account for various reasons.

Freeware:
I'd like to try out something new. I downloaded Krita, but it's feels "slow" and they didn't support XP anymore :(
Last nignt I got FireAlpaca. It's a nice little program, fast, doesn't need much space, but lacks in some functions. (I hope they will upgrade it furher more, becouse it's looks nice so far.
Gimp: Used it, not my world at all. I don't like it.

Not so freeware:
Some of you use SAI wich seems nice, but I have no experience with it.
Currently I use an older version of Photoshop and I like it and know it enough to make my job easier, but..
I checked the latest version price and my jaws dropped. Okay it's a noce program and so on, but I can't afford that much.

Do you have any suggestions?

A little WTF moment on FA

I was browsing FA, searching some quality female bovid art. Everything was normal for a while (MLP art flood whit the most twisted fetishes, a bunch of wore/macro pics seasoned whit scat and watersports and the usual dic pics. But then..

But then I saw a YCH. I never understand the concept of YHC. Someone draw your char whit a fixed pose and clothes and other fixed terms by the artist. The whole YHC costs you as much as an "ordinary" comission (with all the flexibility of the comissioner usually offers).

So I bumbed into one YHC and I checked where did go the bid and I was shocked. The bid started from under a 100$ and whitin an our ended at 400$. I was speechless and pissed and confused. Is it real? I was like OK, this artist i really popular and good and stuff.

But this thing didn't let me rest. I continoued searching other YCH auctions. First I found an auction wich was sold for 450$ annnnd I saw one wich went over 700$ and the auction still wasn't closed. The funny thing the minimal bid increase wasn't 50$ or 25$ or even 100$. The minimal bid was 5 fucking dollars!
Well, they draw good, has a nice style etc. But these poses FFS! A simple nude pose, nothing more! Come on!

I heard rumors aboud artist who made a few hundreds whit one pic, I even saw a few myself, but this was devastating.
I look artist who does comissions for few bucks and there are these... art monsters?

Why? How? I'm jealous, dissappointed, confused and devastated.

It's getting boring to draw the same body type over and over again, coz I end up there all the time. Aaaand I suck all the other things (composition, perspective and so on).

Last year I held a wet tee shirt contest for the artists to draw for here.

This year the competition is the hottest hula skirt shots you can manage. Any gender, any species and any rating.

No cub, and no watersports or scat allowed though.

You will have till July 5th 2013 to make entries, these will get judged by me, and my partner. Possibly a guest judge if I can snag one to accept that role. If you are a judge you can NOT enter but if you wish to be a judge note me.

Prizes
First - $80
Second - $40
Third - $20

As before, contest entries will be judged on a combination of presentation, pose, and skill. So it's perfectly possible for a lower skilled drawing to place high, if it really looks like the artist put their heart and soul into it.

Please realize that the winners are a personal choice by me and my partner along with the guest judge, any one can place.

So the competition is for the best hula skirt shot of any fur, any gender (herms included) and action shots preferred or just something amazing.
