I used to take hundreds, and would have a good number be shareable... But this past con, I had only 10 or so worth posting. I think I took less than 30 altogether, most on sunday... Most of my time was spent in dealers, out for food, or in a room I guess. But even half the time I was wandering around the camera was in my pocket, I didnt even remember/notice that I had it. <<;

I'm home from my winter gift, and it was SO fun! I don't think it's one I'll do again, but I'm REALLY glad I got to go at least once.

It's a cute hotel, and the shuttle service into town was handy. The charity, dealers, GOHs were neat... But it would have been nice to have a map of con space SOME where in either the lobby or the con book. Just saying... Idea for next year. Maybe move the game rooms upstairs, and bring AA and the other panel room down too? For consistency in layout? That really was the ONLY complaints I have. Elevator handling was superb, tho I was lucky enough to be on a low enough floor to only need it twice...
It was mildly annoying to be constantly shuffled around, but that's always gonna be an issue when the "lobby" is more of a series of hallways... Can't blame staff for trying to keep throughways open.

UBER huge thank you to Ryuu for giving us floorspace the last night due to weather and lazies, all the <3 to  NimbusWolf for driving and getting me in, and it was amazing seeing all of you there.

Art-wise, at least... I mean, I made my icon, but I didnt do any Xmas gifts or wintry doodles are ANYthing this year. Feels so weird, but then... Unusually warm weather and being busy as shit didnt help much...

Also put in bunches of civil servant applications at the state/local govt levels- SO many trips to Harrisburg to take tests! TT~TT Did not approve... But hoping for a self supporting job in the new year. Hoping SO much... Sick of the current places BS.

And I don't want to have the empty time to let my mind go there again... So for now I'm going to open for a few 1-2 char sketch requests, remind people that YES I am also open for commissions and have basic info on the FA Commissions tab, and try to get back into drawing for myself even if it keeps being nothing more than Undertale fanart and other miscellaneous crap.

Also taking suggestions for netflix movies to watch, while or instead of arting... Dont have the drive to even work my way down my own list. uu

Depression lies, guys. But it is a HELL of a good liar, and the chemicals and hormones it sends out make your body a liar too. It's hard to go to work anymore, even for short shifts, much less actually do my job with the shit-eating-retail plankface I have to hold. u~u

* Patricia Cornwell - Book of the Dead- Forensic/Suspense Fiction; Never got to read it. Hard Back, dust cover in tact.

* Maggie Shayne - Prince of Twilight - Supernatural Fiction/Romance/??? (dracula reimagining); Amusing book. Slightly immature writing style, but not bad at all! Large Print Edition, Hardback.

* Stella Cameron - Out of Body - Supernatural Suspense/Fiction; This one I really liked, they handled psychic things kinda interestingly! I just dont have space, and it's part of a series I will never look into. Cant afford to pick up new series, even if they look promising...

* P.D. Cacek - Night Prayers - Supernatural; Another vamp book- I went on a kick Id get any vampire related novels I could find. XD I dont remember much about this one, so I'm letting it go.

* Lynsay Sands - Vampires are Forever - Supernatural Romance; Again... Vampire kick. Part of series. Silly, but not quite absolute horrid drivel...

* Ellen Schreiber - Vampire Kisses - YA supernatural romance/adventure; Good book! But the first in a series, that I refuse to dump into. Hate it when a "novel" turns out to be part of a series... -__-

* Darren Shan - Cirque du Dreak - YA supernatural series; I have books 1, 7,8,9... THOUGHT I had the whole shebang up to 9, but cant find them now? Again with the series thing. Aaaand I outgrew the predictability... uu

* Alison Rattle & Allison Vale - hell house - supernatural; Ghost stoooriiiiies....! Supposedly true ones from around the world. Love it! high quality printing, images, lots of stories... But VERY little substance beyond the basics of any of them. Hardback, hefty.

* various - The Worlds Greatest Unsolved Mysteries - supernatural; I couldnt get thru the dry way of rendering 'facts' and theories and everything they presented... Its very thorough and kinda awesome, but not worth the space itd take on my limioted shelves. Hardcover, dust jacket in fine shape.

* R.L. Stine - Goosebumps Monster Edition #1 - YA horror/supernatural; If you're not familiar with Goosebumps! then Im very sad for you... This is a hardback omnibus of Stay out of the Basement, Welcome to Dead House, and Say Cheese and Die!

I also have an old cassette player/cd player/karaoke machine from the early 2000s, and the two microphones that go with it. If you want it or the mics, I'll take just about anything to get em out of my hands.

Made it to and home from what was my only planned con this year. Fur the 'More was awesome, and definitely worth going to if you're in the NE US...! Awesome ppl, nice location, great food options... Yeah, had a great time. ^^ Got some 'swag' (a tail and mini print) and got to unofficially volunteer in the photo suite (Fursuiters are a bunch of hams, and attention hogs... Dont deny it! That was an adorable experience in and of itself!) Went swimming a few times too...! All around, worth it despite not seeing any panels except the sketchbook swap.
MAY do FAU just because of how local it is, but as of now I dont plan any other cons until FurstState's NYFB. Cant make most meets because I work early Sundays, so... I'll just catch people around.

Glad I got to see  BlickFen and ZigZag, and I got to help Seiko, and at least a FEW of the games I leant the gameroom got used... I literally had more than a stuffed SUITCASE of tabletop games I brought. Worth it, I think. Monty and Arc both seemed to enjoy themselves, and tho I felt bad for  Yuukari... I think he doesnt have many regrets himself.

Staying busy, getting back into sketching, and attempting to actually color some things... That's been nice. Really nice.

My feet are cold cause Im too lazy to put socks on... But I have a candle burning, and its pretty, and it smells pretty, and Nimbus is encouraging it so I have a happy. And a laptop. And a blanket. And half hour til I need to pick him up for lunch before *I* have to go to work...
Lazy mornings are awesome. Even if I DID have to fold cold laundry in the basement first thing this morning...

Mostly, I'm just reeeally glad that these candles are as awesome as everyone said they'd be. Same price or cheaper than most "name brand" jar candles, but theres a surprise in them after burning them long enough, and they smell AMAZING without being overwhelmingly headache-inducingly perfumed.

Overall:
It was a con. I had fun. The setup was still awesome (same layout as furfright, probably cause that layout's AWESOME), I had no issues with staff or hotel ppl (actually had fun with most of them. ^^;) and overall... Furpocalypse gets a thumbs up. Despite a few burps.
- I was surprised and slightly worried when they had the fursuit parade go down the brick stairs in the corner of the zoo...
- And nobody ever seems to get the idea of spacing the chairs out in the fursuit games musical chairs. -_-
- Who droped the ball with Rocky Horror? XD Im glad it got up eventually but MAN... That was amusing. And sad.

There weren't any panels I really wanted to see, tho I made it to one out of curiousity. Par normal, my time was almost entirely spent fooding, sleeping, or in the tabletop room. Because gaaaaames. I loved that you could hear the dances from the videogame room too- I got to enjoy the music without the press of bodies and sweaty strangers. I dont like dances... But I LOVE the music/DJs. So that was nice.

Didnt get to see some ppl Id hoped to see, didnt get to spend enough time with some of the ones I DID get to see, but that's just how cons seem to work.

So, Extra Life is a thing, they raise money for childrens hospitals.

I donated a little to WolfPupTK, and I offered to do a commission as a raffle prize (along with a handful of other awesme artists) for ppl who donated to the Furs-For-Life group. (Not entirely sure when they did/are doing the drawing...) They did their streamed fundraising-event on Oct25. TKs entire stream is recorded and the whole 16+hr video is good to watch HERE and its amusing. Look for Chubby Bunny (Immmm not sure where it is in the whole thing...) and Stanley Parable which starts around 8:10:??. They amused me! And they're still taking donations thru at least Dec 3, maybe the end of the year... The info's on the site, HERE and Im too sleepy and grawrgh to find it for you.

All I know, is it's a good cause. As someone who's avoided going to see doctors bc I cant afford it, knowing there are places that make sure kids can get treated... Its a warm fuzzy.

Flirty, almost without realizing it. She always tries to put on a happy cheerful face around everyone, but she has a deeper undercurrent of depression that occasionally surges to the fore, particularly at the thought of losing or hurting someone she cares about.
Notes about your character: She's mostly feline in build- but she has the scruffier fur of a dog. She doesnt have whiskers and the claws on her feet are not retractable, tho her hands' claws are. Her ears are the shape and perkiness of a dog which carries them upright (think german shepherd) but they're thin and have the flexibility and mobility of cats.

A natural mediator, he hates there to be conflict and will go to great lengths to smooth arguments over and find a solution that pleases both or neither of the involved parties.
Notes about the character: Yes, his spots on his shoulders/haunches/chest are supposed to look like rough hearts and broken hearts. Its where he gets his name. His arms have hands, his 4 legs have actual/feral paws.

I made it out last minute to FAU this year... VERY last minute. I didnt think I was actually going until friday morning, when it was confirmed someone needed a ride.

I dont know why Im that crazy... But I did. I hated myself at the time, but after awhile realized I regret nothing. <3 I'm debting which if any of the few photos I took I'll post here... My camera was acting up, very few came out how I wanted. But we'll see! I'll probably get in the groove and shove everything into my gallery eventually.

It seems that more and more people are finding all the photos I take of Nimbus/Monty at meets and cons, which is awesome! Not so awesome? The GROSS majority of them assuming that *I* am the giver of life for Monty.

Granted, I post assloads more pics of him than he does...

But I TAG him in every post, and I LINK to him anytime I thank someone for faves (if they find a whole slough of them, I'll generally poke over and glee at the attention he gets). WHY?! There are comments sections for a REASON and profiles and char lists for REASONS! Why does nobody reeeead anymoooore?!
