Birthday Today! And Life Update Stuff
Posted 2 weeks agoHad an amazing birthday today. Spent a lot of time with friends, had one of the best dinners in a long long while, and now been relaxing for the night. Went a little crazy with the dinner since they mentioned could get absolutely anything, so probably what people feel like when they put it on the tab of business card XD. Bread with a herb and oil sauce, bang bang shrimp (which is basically a bunch of breaded shrimp over a salad with a sauce on them that makes the mouth orgasm), two crabcakes with a red remoulade sauce, a bowl of a lump crab meat chowder, lobster ravioli with a truffle and white wine sauce with sauteed spinach and mushrooms, garlic mashed potato, potatoes au gratin, and one of those root beers in the glass bottle. Even chatted with a manager there and the topic of my birthday came up, so he gave me a set of 24 of the shrimp with the sauce to go that I am eating as I type this XD. Feels weird to eat so much when my average food budget tends to be under $10 a day.
Mostly wanted to mention some life updates here as have been mentioning it in some areas, but believe I haven't on Furaffinity yet.
My mom ended up getting in a bad work accident about a month ago that has left her unable to walk for some time. Been helping take care of her as she cannot do a lot of things on her own, but slowly she has been recovering and should be able to walk again properly in a few months. Due to time associated with this, household income going down, and a couple $1,000s in extra unexpected medical expenses that I also had this summer (nothing major, mostly a lot of small things), time allocation has been all over the place the later half of this year with the increased amount of things I have been needing to do as well as extra funds needed throughout it all. Hopefully within the next few months should be getting back to normal.
In regard to furry things, should hopefully be back to writing a lot more by the end of this year, possibly getting the 100s of backlogged commissioned artwork uploaded as they are spread across like 5 different save drives, and have what may be my first proper trip out of the country planned for later next year. Normally my average vacation budget has been $200-300, but as long as nothing more out there happens between now and then, this one should be around 10x that at $2000-$3000 for a multi month duration. Technically still the same ratio of cost compared to a 1 week break, but spread across multiple months. Prior the longest I ever did was about 2 weeks.
As far as hobbies, have cut a lot of the more expensive ones lately for financial reasons (mostly cutting gaming/subscription services by around 90%), and given that most of them I will not continue even after recovering over recent financial events, that is going to be a bit of extra cash building up starting early next year. While some of this would be allocated for this trip, might start commissioning art again a bit more regularly. One of the main reasons there has been so little uploads since 2019 is in part because I have commissioned rather little since the pandemic due to all the financial uncertainty during and after it with most of my unuploaded backlog being prior to that. Since 2020, in the last 5 years, have spent a little under $1,000 in 5 years averaging around $200 a year, whereas 2015-2019 was around $1000-$2000 a year. Considering going back to these levels of $200ish a month starting next year. My lifetime art spending on furry stuff up to this point is around $6000-$7000 in 10 years (oh no, 6 7). This number could go up to about $10,000 over the next 2 years as long as unexpected bad things would stop happening. XD
For anyone interested in kinky writing commissions, let me know! Still finishing my current backlog SOONtm, but really want to go into next year writing minimum 2k+ words a day regardless of if it is for a commission or not. Obviously more ideal if it is for a commission as makes things more financially stable and eventually more commissioned art of things, but there are a looooot of various topics I have been meaning to write about that up to this point have never had the spare time or recent writing habit to do so. But I do want to get back to the kind of writing habits I had from around 2007-2015 that was easily 3k+ words a day while still doing full time college and full time job on top of it back during some of that.

10 Years on Furaffinity as of Today!
Posted 4 months agoAs of today, have officially been on Furaffinity for 10 years now! Made a lot of great friends and got to see many people over the years. Oddly enough it was through my entire 20s as well, which has been very hectic with everything. Hoping my 30s will be a bit calmer and stabilized, but in this economy probably not.
Still have A LOT of old art commissions to upload in the SOON pile, some still dating back 9 years, lol.
Have been doing story commissions once again. Mostly doing it as a side thing at the moment, but hope to grow it to the point that it can be a part time or even full time job. With my current schedule it has been closer to 1-2 a month, easily able to scale it to 1 a week, but to be able to do it anywhere near full time would have to somehow get to 10-20 a month, which is very unlikely with current schedule, not to mention consistently finding that many people who want various kinky stories.
ALSO, curious what all of you think about YCH stories? Would likely be slightly cheaper, with 1 slot AB (no bidding war, only 1 slot), as I have a lot of story concepts that would work with pretty much any 1 receiver of the events. Currently testing this with a friend to see how it pans out.

10+ Years RP/ERP, Story Commissions(?), Art Backlog
Posted 6 months agoHello everyone! Hope the year has been going great so far! Just wanted to give a brief update on some things.
As of about a month ago, I have finally been doing RP/ERP for 10 years now! It started with a random MLP friend on Steam one day messaging me about it, and they were kind of bad at it leading to my curiosity on the subject matter for what better forms of it looked like. After that, made this f-list account that in the 10 year period has written over 10 million words, used 100ish characters, RPed with around 600 different characters across 2,000ish different RPs. Bit dated of a profile, as are a lot the characters I used in the past, but overall has been a really great hobby even meeting friends there that I still have today both IRL and online.
Feel like I say this every year now, but I really want to get into writing a bit less as a hobby and more as a side job. In current economy, would likely have to charge $20/1,000 words with a preference for kink focused stories around 1k-3k words, or stories segmented in such a way that each section is around this length. My computer of 12 years died the other year with a lot of my old writing on it that I wanted to post. Currently do not have access to the files, but luckily my more important documents and art commissions were backed up on my external hardrive. Given this and most of my RPs remaining completely private, I have very little publicly available writing for reference, but if anyone is curious about it let me know.
Lastly, now that FA has finally fixed uploading, I REALLY want to get around to uploading my backlog of art. I think a few pieces were displaced when my older computer died, but for the most part seems like 95%+ of it has been retrieved in one way or another. Counting all alts it is over 100 pieces, though to minimize alt spam would likely be closer to 70ish over the next few months, on top of whatever new stuff I get by then.
With that being said, if anyone ever wants to split a commission or do an art for writing trade, am always open for these. Art-wise always a sucker for sketches and sketch pages, whereas my writing tends to prefer shorter form to the point kinky scenarios.

Thoughts on Tag Blocking? Personally Rather Against It

Anyways, wanted to briefly talk about the new tag blocking feature that was added to FA a couple days ago. Feel like most sentiment behind it has been positive and am a bit of an outlier in that I liked that FA was one of the few locations without block functionality. I know personally in context like games, media, and even furry related things I never really use any block functions at all. In the case of furry related things, it is in part due to my ultra wide range of interests, but also in part for the discovery aspect of new things.
Since I haven't uploaded my 100s of backlogged commissions yet, I am curious how I should go about it. I use a lot of rather triggering terms in my tags to describe things that in my view are such scenarios, but to others may not be categorized as such. Things like "bestiality" to describe any scene with a sentient feral and anthro together, "rape" and/or "noncon" when something is being facesat with any amount of dismay, and "torture" for nearly all fart/scat related art that shows any amount of reluctance.
Was curious what tags all of you are planning to block, if any at all? As there is a good chance some amount of my commissions will be blocked under this new system. My current plan for this is non-filth versions would only use clean nice terms that don't trigger the average person, but filth related versions being completely unfiltered as they always been in what terminology they use. This may however start to hide some filth related commissions I post if there isn't a clean version, not because someone hides facesitting fart/scat and such, but more so from all the other many terms that may get red flagged by a block list.

Posted 10 months agoHello everyone! Yes, I am still alive. On the furry side of things, at least here, it probably seems like I haven't been around much. Been a lot busier with life and other hobbies, but as some of you know have still been doing a lot of ERP perpetually through the years often just under different characters. This year I plan to actually get a bit more back into the furry community compared to in the past with the following goals:
- Upload my entire backlog of commissions. I have over 100+ pieces that have not been uploaded to FA yet, some of which have not been uploaded anywhere online yet. My computer of 11 years that I used in college did break this year though and I lost around 10% of all files both work and furry related. On the furry side, this was quite a lot of writing that was never backed up and a few obscure commissions from artists that aren't really around anymore to retrieve the file. Most of this commissioned art is from the pre-pandemic era going about 7 years back, but a small handful does go back a few months.
- ACTUALLY get back into writing commissions. While I have never stopped writing over the years, it has been ages since I have done any writing outside of the context of RP/ERP. Want to try to create a system where I set aside a few hours every day to work on some writing commissions to offset money from work. Still a plan to potentially start up a family by my late 30s, but barely have the funds to even support myself at the moment as I live rather minimally. Have done this in the past, but very very little of my writing has ever been particularly public, but looking to change that in the future both so everyone can see more writing but also for reference for commissions as I have no recent writing projects uploaded at the moment.
- Make some more friends. I am a rather individual introverted person who has gone years at a time before without engaging much with others. Want to change that some this year. I am very hard to get to know and tend to make it harder by not really communicating much online for long periods of time sometimes, but do want to try changing it some.

Thoughts on FA policy 2.7 update?
Posted 2 years agoIt was brought to my attention from a friend just now all the ordeals happening with FA in regard to the policy 2.7 change. Was curious what all of your thoughts were on it?
Luckily, I believe it barely effects me as the only character type within that body type that I have ever gotten art of is a few Riolu pieces with a character that isn't mine, but I find it pretty insane that things as common as Eevee got hit with the ban hammer.
Given that it is all purely fictional I don't really see an issue that needs to ban so many species/characters. Most that have art of that kind of stuff don't even think of it in THAT way, and for the few that do it is better that it is fictional rather than the alternative.
Last year around this time had a few p-word accusations from things taken out of context from people who take literally anything from multiple people and blow it out of proportion, and feel like this new policy could easily make this worse for some despite them not being so due to how easily the system could be exploited with such a policy.
And while this policy only goes after younger looking body types, the next thing could easily be anything that walks on 4 legs.

Posted 4 years agoThis year I have been getting quite into the sketch page mood again. Have gotten dozens in the past and already have commissioned around a dozen different artists for sketch pages this year and am still trying to find more.
Mostly looking for artists that are interested in drawing various kink or any really specific kink within a $10-$30 price range per page with 4-6 instances on the page.
If you are an artist that can do that or know anyone who may be interested, let me know.

Posted 4 years agoOnce again, I do still exist! Haven't been around FA for around half a year, but I do want to finally get back to posting my massive backlog in 2022. I keep putting it off just because of how intimidating the pile is, but do want to start working it down a bit. XD
Asides from that, I still intend to get plenty more art in the future. Always looking for new artists to get stuff from and people to commission with. Fan art always welcome as well as I have a wide enough interest to like everything. :3
I have gotten into so many unfinished projects this year, both furry related and otherwise, but I hope to be a bit more diligent with it all in 2022.

Taking Free Writing Requests and Update on Things
Posted 4 years agoHello everyone! It has been nearly a year since I have posted a journal to FA, so figured I finally get around to that now that I got back from a vacation.
The daunting task of finally uploading everything not currently uploaded to FA I will be trying to get done this summer. It is upwards of 100+ pieces. To make sure I don't miss any, will likely upload them in reverse chronological order based on my Twitter, so going from the most recent back to the oldest non-posted piece. That way can just upload any new ones instantly when they come out and keep FA up to date.
As many of you may know, I have been posting regularly on my Twitter as I have personally found it to be more convenient these last 2 years. If you haven't already, good idea to drop it a follow if you use Twitter as it is a lot easier there to make more regular posts:

Writing Requests
So, one thing I have been meaning to get back into the habit of doing is writing on a more regular basis. I used to write 1,000+ words every single day several years ago, but recently have been doing substantially less writing. I have been wanting to slowly turn that around.
In doing so, figured one fun way to do that is to write a bunch of short concepts for other people. With that being said, I am taking free writing requests for short kinky 18+ interactions. Keep in mind not all will get chosen. You are welcome to suggest more than one as well.
Premise must:
- Fit between 500-1500 words
- Canon characters and animals only (no OCs, no humans, no underage)
- All kinks welcome
- Must be focused on kink(s)
- 1 or 2 characters max
These will be 100% free, but tips are accepted and greatly appreciated. I will be opening for commissions at some point if looking for longer more elaborate writing, but am mostly doing these to build up more of a habit of daily/weekly writing again.

Thanks for 2,000+ Followers! And Spiritfarer "Furry" Game
Posted 5 years agoHello everyone! Just wanted to thank all of you for the continued support as we just over 2,000 followers! Looks like the goal of hitting 2,020 in 2020 will be hit soon. I still have a loooooot of stuff I have yet to post to this Furaffinity that I have been meaning to for a while now. Will get to it eventually, FA just takes so long to post stuff to, especially when something has multiple versions that require different tagging.
In other news, I have played through the entirety of Spiritfarer. It is somewhat a furry game where you have to bring a bunch of spirits that take on animal form to the afterlife. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and highly advise checking it out.
It has two really amazing characters in it, Buck the dragon parrot who thinks he is constantly in an RPG, and Gustav the bird who is essentially a more philosophical and hotter version of Blathers from Animal Crossing.
The main reason I bring it up is Gustav's death speech really reminded me of why I made my character Tacet in the first place and what Tacet fully in character was back when I first created him around a decade ago. I was really into existentialism and realistic nihilism at the time, and Gustav's death speech nails it right on sounding much like dialogue lines I used to make for Tacet before ever becoming public in the furry fandom.

True words to live by right there. I always find the concept reassuring as it is realistic to the pointlessness of existence while still being optimistic to actions taken upon the world, particularly actions that display creativity of the mind regardless of how trivial it may be.
In other news, I have played through the entirety of Spiritfarer. It is somewhat a furry game where you have to bring a bunch of spirits that take on animal form to the afterlife. I thoroughly enjoyed the game and highly advise checking it out.
It has two really amazing characters in it, Buck the dragon parrot who thinks he is constantly in an RPG, and Gustav the bird who is essentially a more philosophical and hotter version of Blathers from Animal Crossing.
The main reason I bring it up is Gustav's death speech really reminded me of why I made my character Tacet in the first place and what Tacet fully in character was back when I first created him around a decade ago. I was really into existentialism and realistic nihilism at the time, and Gustav's death speech nails it right on sounding much like dialogue lines I used to make for Tacet before ever becoming public in the furry fandom.

I'm Still Alive! Corona Virus Update and Other Things
Posted 5 years agoHello everyone! It has been ages since I have done much here. Aside from Christmas, believe I haven't made a single Furaffinity post this entire year.
One slight reason for that is I have actually commissioned 0 pieces so far this year. I still have commissions rolling in from the past, but specifically 0 of them were actually started since I got back from my trip at the start of the year.
Good thing I did go on that trip though, as gosh have things been crazy since Covid-19. Luckily, as an introvert, I have been social distancing my entire life, so socially it wasn't that big a change for me. Food shopping is still drastically different though and I've still been getting just as sick from non-Covid-19 things like seasonal allergies, which makes it near impossible to even go food shopping since people will look weirdly constantly coughing thinking it is the virus. Overall, mostly just been isolated in my house chilling, thinking about things, and having half this year consumed by Animal Crossing New Horizons, of which I am currently not too overly addicted to due to the economy being completely destroyed by people who exploit the game.
I work from home, so luckily I have still been making money. However, since most the money I make is from ads and people having spare cash, I made drastically less so far this year. With that being said, I am very much considering doing writing commissions soon. Will likely start with personal ones that have no obligation, start taking on really short short stories (likely around 1k or under words), and then start branching into bigger works. Mostly will need to do this to offset income some. If nothing else, it would help pay for more art on occasion as well. XD
Still never received the $1,200 check either, despite the IRS having my current address on file from every year that I have filed including having filed early this year before all the virus stuff was even happening. Wouldn't be the first time I lose out on $1,200 though, as that is how much minimum wage work I am still owed from my very first job that is never going to be paid.
As I mentioned, I have been very inactive here lately. Going to be changing that hopefully soon. I have a shit ton of posting I need to do here of commissions from the past year, but it seems like a daunting task as I believe it is around 100 pieces or so if counting all variants of all the pieces. Started going through it some today and will find a way to start chunking it out and uploading it with hopefully all of it being uploaded prior to July 4th for the holiday.
I noticed we are getting pretty close to 2,000 followers here on this FA. I really want to try reaching 2020 by the end of 2020, hopefully sooner. I recently passed this milestone on Twitter, but want to do something special when we finally get past it on FA. What specifically I have yet to decide for this milestone, but suggestions are appreciated. One thing I was considering was a large YCH with my dragon Gassac that I have almost no art of. It is elaborate enough that it could have around 7-10 different locations to put people while still having everyone in the middle of gassy action. Was considering having it as free, but may just make it an ultra cheap $5-$20 USD YCH just to cover the costs of actually commissioning something that large scale, as it would likely be the single most expensive piece I have yet to commission, as I believe $80 is the tied highest most I have ever currently spent for 1 single art piece.
Lastly, if you want to keep up to date with everything I do, I still have been posting pretty much weekly over on Twitter. It is a lot quicker to upload and do quick messages there, so still been doing it a decent amount. I will hopefully get back to getting more active on Furaffinity again, but Twitter these days always seems like a good location in case FA is ever down or just in general for contacting me as my FA mailbox is used almost exclusively for commissions.

I just got a new gaming laptop the other day, so been having a lot of fun setting up everything with that. Got a MSI GS65 Stealth laptop on a sale. My previous MSI lasted for 7 years and still works decently, so hoping to future proof this new one for at least a decade.
I finally got a phone too. Was able to get onto a family plan for ultra cheap, so figured I finally get one. For any of you that don't know, I haven't had a phone for around 7-8 years, lol.
I also just finished the Pokedex for Pokemon Sword And Shield. Corviknight is hands down my favorite pokemon in existence now in every possible way. He is best bird. :3

25th Birthday Today! And I made a NSFW Twitter

I generally don't use Twitter, but I was just searching through it some today for work, got side tracked, then noticed the excessively high amount of people posting my commissioned art without the artist's nor my own permission. Found dozens of instances of this in under an hour barely even trying, and could probably find 100s of posts with no permission nor even credit to artist and characters.
For this reason, to my chagrin, I am finally making a NSFW Twitter account. If I can't stop them from doing it, I can at least post stuff there before anyone ever gets the chance to steal it. This likely won't stop people from still stealing art, but at least it would help be a deterrent to some degree.

I have a bunch of art that I will be uploading soon. Keep an eye out for that. ;P
I have also been getting increasingly curious to get a fursuit in the next year or so. 2020 likely the year I bite the financial bullet and finally get one. If I do get a fursuit, I will likely be making a furry YouTube channel for fun covering topics like kink, politics, sex-education, and a bunch of other stuff I wouldn't talk about on my main YouTube channel due to YouTube demonetizing upwards of 90% of those topics. They are topics I always wanted to cover, but feel like it would go over better if I did it as a in-character dragon. Quite the fun gimmick. XD
I have a bunch of art that I will be uploading soon. Keep an eye out for that. ;P

Today apparently marks the 4 year mark of me being here on Furaffinity. This is also coincidentally around the half way point of me being a furry as Tacet has been around for a little over 8 years.
I am thoroughly thankful to the furry community for giving me so much support, purpose, and friends. I honestly wouldn't have half my sanity if it wasn't for this community.
I'll be dumping ;) a bunch of art later today with a good majority of pieces I haven't uploaded yet. There are still a few I am holding out on as soon as my lazy ass writes stories for them. XD

Shinies, Tips, and Cost of This Art Commissioning Hobby
Posted 6 years agoAs many of you have probably seen, Shinies have been added to Furaffinity. They are essentially a way to tip artists via paypal without having to use standard paypal links. One reason I have never really accepted tips in the past is that they would have to go through my paypal in a way that they would trigger my notification system via my safe for work YouTube gaming channel. Now there is a way I could accept those tips with NSFW comments staying separated from my SFW work.
As many of you know, commissioning art isn't cheap. I did a whole breakdown of it at my 3 year mark for any of you who haven't seen it: http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/8792757/
In those first 3 years, I spent around $1,405. This year alone I am likely approaching $1,600 in just one year, for a total of $3,000+ for everything I have ever posted to my Furaffinity gallary.
This is obviously an extremely expensive hobby to say the least.
There are multiple ways you guys can help increase the flow of content on this page if you ever feel inclined:
1: Contact me to split a commission cost with your character:
If you find any of my characters interesting and share similar kinks, I am often available for splitting the cost of commissions. I try to go half and half on costs for these when I can, but have had people generously pay for more. Splitting commission costs half and half are very helpful as it essentially cuts the cost of a commission in half for both, while still getting something both sides are interested in. I have saved upwards of $1,000 using this method over the last 4 years, saving around 50% from every applicable piece.
2: Shinies Tipping:
The new system added to FA of Shinies will allow people to anonymously or publicly support people who commission art. 100% of all money I make via Shinies will be put towards commissioning more art for this FA page. Specifying what kind of stuff you like in my gallery when sending Shines would also help me to allocate those tips towards those interests. For extremely large amounts of funds, it is advised contacting me directly and doing point 1 instead, of splitting the commission cost. Shinies are more so just tips to specify what you want to see more of.
3: Fanart, Art Donations, and Similar:
As many of you know, I like all qualities of art from beginner sketchy stuff to extremely advanced fully rendered digital pieces. If you are ever in need of a fluffy dragon in one of your pieces, or just feel like drawing my character for whatever reason, I am perfectly fine with that. I just ask you let me know first as it is easier to keep track of it all that way.
4: Sharing My Furafinity Page and Art:
Always feel free to share my page and art pieces with people who would find them interesting. Growing the page makes it more likely that someone would have done one of the previous 3 points. It would also help if I ever start taking commissions in order to have more of a base for my eventual writing commissions.
I greatly appreciate all of your continued support. The community here has been absolutely fantastic and has made my last 4 years a lot happier than they would have been otherwise. I intend to be commissioning a lot more art into the future for the foreseeable future. Even if it ends up costing around $1,000-$2,000 a year, I would consider it worth it for the happiness it brings me and others. I try to minimize this cost when I can so it isn't too much of a financial burden, so any support all of you wish to give is greatly appreciated regardless of it is just sharing the art, tipping, splitting commissions, commenting, or anything that you may do. ^_^

Search Terms? Which do you use when searching for stuff?

Also, what version of the term do you tend to use when searching? Many terms have multiple different variants that end up meaning the exact same thing, but they search differently on some websites. For example, something like fart stuff can go by many terms like fart, farting, gas, flatulence, and others.

A gender role test was brought to my attention today, and it made me curious where some of my followers fall on it. If any of you have a few minutes, would love to know your gender and your results for this test:

I didn't find my results too surprising as I already knew I was somewhere along those lines. Essentially, a mix of both gender roles with a feminine leaning:

50% masculine
86% feminine
as a male.
I just found it interesting, as I have always been into feminine things even from a few years of age, but pretty much have always considered myself a male. To most people casually IRL it probably wouldn't even phase them that I am that feminine, but most people who have gotten to know me know how empathetic, caring, and sensitive at times I can be.
Anyways, was just curious what all of you got as results and your opinion in general on gender roles. ^_^

I've been a furry for around 10 years now, or my entire life depending on how you define it, but have only been particularly active the last 3-4 years. Ended up getting introduced to some really interesting people and made a few really close friends along the way. I know most of you are mainly here for the kink, but I really appreciate the presence. ^_^
It has been a great adventure so far, and I only plan on delving even deeper. ;P
