Hoping to get back into Art soon.
Posted 7 years agoHello followers!
Here's a bit of a life update:
Pup Update: Puppers finally got a clean bill of health from the vet, and just has to take exercise slow to rebuild muscle strength in her hind legs. It took longer than expected for her to heal from surgery because her leg got a nasty infection, and the Vet wanted to do an additional surgery to remove her plate if it didn't clear up.
Upon hearing this, and not wanting to fork out more money (Selfish reason, and I should have been more about not wanting her to go through surgery again for emotional reasons, but I'm more of a practical person) I decided to do my own thing based on my own experiences of medical knowledge since the antibiotics weren't working, and had to clean my poor pup's leg every day with saline and peroxide, (At first multiple times through the day) I felt a little bad for her because I also had to make sure the wound didn't close up until I was sure there was no more infection, and the only pain meds she had by this time was the doggy equivalent of ibuprofen.
BUT! My hard work paid off, the vet was a bit apprehensive, but gave her a clean bill of health for now. (If her infection returns he still wants to have the surgery to remove her plate, but I don't think her infection was caused by the plate itself.) All total it took her about 4 months to heal, and her care and and stuff cost over $4k. {Luckily we have a Care Credit card, so the only thing it really affected was my credit. ;w;
Health Update: The doctors still haven't found a reason for my random bouts of inflammation that cause my hands (All the way to the elbows) and feet (All the way to my knees) to hurt. I was referred the hematologist who wasn't too concerned with my blood results, which I guess is a good thing.
She had suggested that the internal flare up could be caused by my allergies Even with taking 4 Allergy medicines I'm still struggling with living in Texas, and she actually suggested seeing a specialist about getting shots, etc.) , or a rheumatoid factor. (Even though my test came up negative for that. )
Quality of Life Update: My husband and I are still adjusting to his retirement from active duty, and paying off our debts we accumulated during his transition. As time continues to pass by things are continuing to improve, but it is a slow process. Paying off our debt has been painfully slow with a couple lapses in judgement, or just surprises that have set us back. Even so, my stress levels have dropped significantly, before I was having panic attacks multiple times a week, and insomnia, and now I'm back to a more composed state of mind. :3
It also probably helps that earlier this month Hubby got a bonus at work, so we were able to buy a new bed. (Lapse in judgement, because most people would say we should have put it towards our debt.) It has significantly improved my health and well-being and I've only had the thing since the 23rd. The reason being is our old bed was extremely worn out, hard, and uncomfortable. We've had it for over 5yrs, and when I got it, it was already lightly used to begin with. (One of my Mom's tenants left it at the house when they moved, so after a certain amount of time past she let me have it since all I had was an air mattress.)
We couldn't afford a new mattress until recently, and while I was waiting for it to be delivered I had come to a realization that I couldn't remember the last time I had a decent night's sleep. I've had a lot of stress in my life since at least middle school, and even after certain factors were removed from my life they were replaced with new ones. Needless to say I have learned just how much sleep deprivation can affect one's life, and I know it will take a long while before I feel my best. In the meantime, the dark circles under my eyes are slowly fading, I don't find myself sleeping for 10+hrs a day. (Hell, I've found myself naturally waking around 5-6am and not needing a nap till the afternoon, and it has only actually being a nap for a change! instead of sleeping the whole day!) My mind is becoming less foggy, and I don't feel like I'm gonna pass out constantly! :D
The art and story ideas are slowly coming back, and I'm starting to feel alive as an artist again, but like I said before the process is slow. I don't see myself pumping out finished drawings like nobody's business for the moment, but I have optimism that I'll be more active like I used to be by the soonest mid fall. (I still get fatigued, but at least I wake up and actually feel refreshed now.)
TLDR:
Puppy is better now.
No diagnosis for random pain, but it is more mild now.
I've been suffering from long term sleep deprivation, but got a new bed, and have been feeling slightly better recently.

Posted 7 years agoSome updates.
Pup Update - Naomi is officially 6yrs old! (Her B-day was the 6th) Her surgical sight got infected with a strain of resistant bacteria, so she's on a special antibiotic right now (and is developing an abcess....I hope her body re-absorbs it, or at least that is doesn't burst before her next appointment. Besides that she's doing well, hates wearing her cone, and keeps trying new tricks to try and get it off, and I think being put on crate-rest is driving her nuts. She keeps trying to run/play even though she's not allowed to. =...= And because I have no way of making her stay calm and behaved in the office room I don't get a lot of time on the PC because she cries if she has to stay in the living room by herself.
Health Update - Going in to the doc to discuss my blood tests the first week of July. I'm tired of hurting all the time. I want to draw some more, I can't even write a quick note with a pen, or play video-games without my hands hurting a lot, and my legs seem to hurt constantly... :/ I also keep getting "Ice-pick" Headaches that suck. Pretty much I've had this issue since puberty, but it is a lot worse now, and impossible to ignore. so for the health nerds here's the abnormal results if you wanna guess what the doctor's diagnosis is gonna be. (I'm bored, so I've been trying to figure it out myself, but might need more tests)
Higher than Normal - WBC, Platelets, Neutrophils, ABS Neutrophils, C-Reactive Protein, and ESR.
Lower than Normal - Lymphocytes
Negative - Cell Fractions, Rheumatoid Factor, Nuclear AB
And fun fact my platelets and neutrophils have been high on all my blood tests since at least April. =w=

Update on Pup and myself.
Posted 7 years agoSo, my puppy's surgery went really well. So she's been home resting, and looking at my husband and I like we're the meanest people in the world. She's supposed to be on crate-rest, but since she's low energy we just have her leashed to said crate. (All she did when inside was stare at me and cry, I think cone+crate scares her, since she usually loves being in her crate)
The first couple of days were rough, we found out that some of her meds taste horrible to her and had to find different ways of getting her to take it, and she was getting used to her cone, which she was having issues with. Now for the fun part of starting physical therapy with her by helping her do stretches with her leg.....
On top of all my pup's struggles I've been struggling with my health still.... So far the doc is treating me for anemia caused by complications with feminine issues, but I also still keep getting those strange pains, and not just in my feet or legs, I've also had them in my hands now too. It isn't arthritis, because it very rarely happens in the joints (And the doc tested me for that).
The pain comes on quick and can last for hours, the longest it has lasted was a week (when it was affecting my foot), The area becomes swollen slightly, and feels bruised, and warm, the skin sometimes looks normal, but other times is a little red, the reddest it became was like a welt. The pain is under the skin, and feels tingly/itchy the closer to the surface, but more bruised and sore near the bones, tendons, and ligaments. The main places it has happened is in my hands (fingers, palms, or thumbs), sometimes my wrists, my thighs, knees, shins, ankles, outer sides of my feet, tops of me feet, arches, and toes.
Icing it makes it feel worse, and sometimes my veins on raised on the skin (most noticeable when it happens in my hands), and the only thing that gives me relief is Ibuprofen.... :/ But I don't like taking it all the time since I heard it can give you ulcers.
Very frustrating, I just want to know what causes these random onsets of pain and how I can prevent them. >....< So far the only trigger I know causes the episodes is when I'm stressed out, so I don't know if it is still my eczema since my eczema also flares when I stress out. =...= But telling me not to stress out is unrealistic because of how life keeps sucker punching me and my family.

Posted 7 years agoLife Update:
This mostly revolved around my dog, she's a lab mix, is currently 5, and turns 6 in June.
In February she was limping so we took her to the vet. At the time the vet diagnosed her with arthritis and sent us home with pain meds and prescription dog food. As the weather started to warm up and she started adjusting to her new pain regimen and supplemented dog food she started to improve.
At the end of April she started to limp again, except this time she completely refused to use one of her legs. Took her back to the vet, this time she had x-rays done. The vet diagnosed her with one of the worst cases of hip dysplasia she had ever seen (One of the hips looks like it was almost out of the socket), and a CCL injury (ACL injury in Humans) in the opposite leg, and referred us the an Orthopedic Surgeon in a city about an hour away.
Went to Ortho-Vet, he looked at the x-rays, and did some exercises with my pup. Currently he doesn't think she needs surgery on her hip just yet (The whole, if it isn't bothering her, leave it alone deal), but she does need surgery to for her CCL injury, which ended up being almost $4k, with an added $300-$500 if she needs CPR during the surgery. Her surgery is scheduled for the 15th, and we will be able to pick her up the following day. During which time she'll have a 10 week recovery period where I'll have to help her walk, and with physical therapy, and make sure she behaves (No jumping, running, playing, etc). Mind you, this is a very active, still young dog. (Labs aren't even considered full-grown until they're around 3yrs of age)
To top it all off, when a dog has a CCL injury they are very likely to get another one on the opposite leg within 1-3yrs.
Needless to say I've been having a rough year so far...AGAIN! I really want to catch a break at some point. :/ We were finally making a dent in our debt, and then I jacked it back up because I had to use my Care Credit Card. (Which is amazing for these situations.) My dog, who I thought was the healthiest of our pets ended up having the most severe issues out of all of them. And with all the stress and anxiety I haven't felt any passion, inspiration, muse, whatever to draw or write most of the year, even though I thought this year was going to be better than the last two.
I'm sorry I haven't been very active, and I feel like I'm disappearing on here and DA now because of it. Reality sucks, and life isn't being very fair. ;.....;

Spring is kicking my @$$!!!!!
Posted 7 years agoX____x
Sorry for lack of art. Long story short, I'm allergic to Texas because it is constantly spring here. To add on to my Allergy issues I also have reactive asthma, and eczema. Initially when I still lived in Nevada I thought eczema was just a skin issue since I only ever had symptoms in spring and fall. Since I've moved to Texas it has become another beast entirely. Now I understand that eczema is an autoimmune disorder that gives me an overactive immune system, which causes issues like inflammation under the skin (Making me feel like I almost have a combination of tendonitis/arthritis when I have a flare-up just because of the pressure.), and of course the stereo-typical rashes, and some other personal symptoms.
It just feels a little like a catch-22, because allergies > stress > flare-up > stress > flare-up so now I've started a regimen of 3 different allergy medications, and 2 topical creams to get my eczema (and asthma) under control. I was kind of letting my symptoms go out of control because I got used to them as a normal part of life, until my bones and tendons started to hurt and I didn't want to move. =...= So I found out the condition of my skin, coughing all the time, and constantly having raccoon eyes isn't normal, lol. (Yes I'm terrible, and don't like going to the doctor unless I think it is something serious)
I still don't feel well though (allergies are making me feel nausea and extreme fatigue because it has been a bit windy lately, stirring everything up, but meds should kick in fully after another week or two.)
To top it off I had gotten neglectful about taking my Vitamin D's, which for the record, can cause microfractures if you're being a dumb dumb like me! :D Don't be like Tae! (I have a severe Vitamin D deficiency when I'm not taking my vitamin everyday, dunno why, a lot of the women in my family are the same way. =w= )
TLDR
Tae wasn't taking proper care of herself like a good artist should, but should be feeling better in the near future.

Some good news, and sad news!
Posted 7 years agoHey-yo! I haven't been on the PC for a about a month due to a visit from my Mommy! :D I decided I wouldn't be on the PC for her visit if I didn't need to be. This is because I haven't actually seen my Mom (in person) in about 2yrs, and the last time I saw her was for only about 2 days. This is due to the fact that we live about a 24hr drive apart (Not counting rest and gas stops), and that neither of us have been able to afford the funds for travel/time [or a plane ticket] and such until recently.)
Her visit was fun, but early into her visit we noticed Naomi (My Black Lab) limping, so we took her to the vet. Naomi was diagnosed with arthritis in her hips sadly, but the weird part is she isn't even 6yrs old yet! (Not till June), so we've been adjusting to that. She gets pain medicine twice a day (as needed, which is always atm...hyper pup+tile floors doesn't work in her favor xD), and is on a special prescription dog food.
Now on to the news you guys would probably be most interested in! Hubby and I got our tax return which was huuuuge! (IMO, Military pays dirt for Active duty, but daaaaamn for DoD side, so happy for Hubby and myself <3) Because of this we were able to pay down our debt by a decent enough amount that my depression has lifted a bit, just enough that I'm starting to feel my creative juices flowing once more. To add on to this, for the amount of our tax return we didn't put towards our debt (because my hubby and I felt we needed rewarded, because last year sucked ass so hard), hubby decided to spoil me with much needed upgrades (within reason), so now I have a new mouse (No more double clicking, or clicking in general unless on purpose, yay!) I have TWO new monitors which means I can multitask again! I have Inattentive ADHD, multitasking makes me a more productive/happy artist. I love watching movies while drawing! :D
This was also a very important/influential purchase in a couple of ways: The first is when we got the first one it helped show me that my Cintiq was closer the death than I originally thought... (Color was very yellow, screen was darker, etc) The second was the health benefits, my new screens are larger (1920 x 1080), and aren't slanted up like the Cintiq, this means I haven't gotten any headaches or eye strain! From staring at the reflection of the light in the office, or just in general from looking at an older worn out screen)
What this all means is I'm going to have to really go in an update all of my and my hubby's Character Sheets and stuff, because the colors were off and whatnot. (Which is also what I promised I'd do anyway if I got said monitors!) to help me with this I purchased a book to help with me facial expressions, so hopefully I can make my drawings feel more alive in the near future!
:3 Until next time, thank you for continuing to watch me grow, and support me in my artistic venture! <3

Goals for 2018
Posted 8 years agoI haven't written anything in a while so thought I'd stop by to say hi!
I'm going to try to be a bit more active in 2018, and if things go well I might even open up for commissions again in the future. I'm sorry to everyone I promised requests to, 2017 was just a very taxing year for me. My inspiration to draw was pretty much non-existent, I was even avoiding to play WoW except on Raid days (Still do actually), and didn't watch a lot of anime either. I guess I was depressed? No idea, but I want to do better this year, even if it means only submitting one doodle a month. I hope my faithful watchers will continue to have patience for me and support me in my future endeavours, I want to start this year off on the right foot! :3
Art Goals
Be more active
Remember to upload Traditional Work
Buy a new monitor (been using half-dead Cintiq as a monitor, it isn't a comfortable setup)
Buy the Wacom Studio Pro Tablet (Since my Cintiq died back in...2015, I've been forced to use my old Inutos Pro that I've had since around 2007, and I dunno how long it will last for.)
Update all of my (and my husband's) OC references
Try to draw more than just my (and my Husband's) OCs
Finish Outline for Arc I of BMC
Remember to upload Traditional Work
Buy the Wacom Studio Pro Tablet (Since my Cintiq died back in...2015, I've been forced to use my old Inutos Pro that I've had since around 2007, and I dunno how long it will last for.)
Update all of my (and my husband's) OC references
Try to draw more than just my (and my Husband's) OCs
Finish Outline for Arc I of BMC
Checking in
Posted 8 years agoMost of my update can be found in "Tea Leaves", which was recently posted in my gallery. Among other things been watching a lot of TV, getting my house slowly back in order. Playing WoW (Mostly limited to just the raids I do twice a week though), all boring stuff.
Things of interest:
A couple weeks ago I took the cats to get up to date on their shots, found out one of the has a heart murmur, nothing serious, she's just allowed to be lazy now. The other one was diagnosed with an active form of FVR (Feline Herpes Virus), luckily she just gets a big of nasal congestions, so she's easy to manage with nasal drops. It was just a bit of a shock, because I though my cats were pretty healthy.
Financially my hubby and I are in a comfortable safe zone now, but must focus on paying off our debt for a while. (Solely living off of Credit Cards, and the kindness of family for six months if terrible for your credit! :D ) Our goal is to be able to buy a second car by this time next year, (I'm planning on getting a Hyundai Santa Fe!)
Besides that I'm boring, and am just wrapped up in a bunch of other people's business. :3

Slowly bouncing back!
Posted 8 years agoSo Hubby finally started work, and we finally received our first paycheck recently, so I'm starting to slowly bounce back art-wise. I'm very sorry for being almost non-existent since Winter. A lot of things have been happening in my personal life, and I've been very depressed and not really interested in drawing in all honesty. Our finances took a severe hit with the unplanned disaster of Hubby's hiring delay, but I wasn't in a healthy enough mood to beg for people to buy commissions from me to make ends meet like most artists on here tend to do when shit hits the fan.
For the longest time now I've been living mostly off of ramen and maxing out credit cards to eat junk food on post. (We have a special credit card we can use on military bases, but can't use it to buy food at the commissary. ) I'm not used to eating junk food very often at all, so I have been having a severe lack in energy, feeling sick, and hating life. Some months I'd only be able to eat once a day...It was very hard to deal with! >...< I never thought I'd say that I'm sick of ramen now lol...and it used to be a favorite treat for me. :') To pay our most important bills we had to borrow money from family a couple times, which I felt bad about. (But our family is very kind, and we try our best to have eachother's back in emergency situations. )
We're not completely caught up on everything just yet, but we should be fine by the end of the first week of August, so I'm not asking for any donations or whatnot. Just explaining why I've been lazy with art, requests, etc. :3 I don't know when I'll be completely back in the swing of things, but I'll try my best to start being more positive since I don't have waste so much energy with super high anxiety and depression now! ^_^

Birthday.
Posted 8 years agoYep, today is my birthday, and I celebrate with the most tiniest of raspberry cheesecakes! :D I'm still super broke, and stressed out about finances, but trying to continue looking on the bright side! :D
In case of curiousity, I'm now 26!
Also, shout-out to all the unlucky sobs who have birthdays on holidays! The struggle is real! 0'....'0
I'm sorry I haven't posted any art, being under financial strain and having RL crisis/struggles makes it hard to create anything worth showing. :3 Things should start improving on my side in July as long as events start going according to plan.
Cheers to my loyal watchers to await my epic return! I love you guys!

Art incoming this summer.
Posted 8 years agoAs much as I'd love to have the Wacom Mobile Studio Pro 16, my ever lovely and doting husband will have to dig us out of our building mountain of debt first.... Fortunately, my Intuos 3 Pro still functions, even with being the proud dinosaur it is. (I've had it for about 10yrs now)
With that said, Hubby promised me that once our paychecks start rolling in, that he'd buy me a new monitor so I can work on art again!
Mind you, this will probably involve a lot of smut, epic badassery, and maaaaybe some fanart as a thankyou to the hubs.
I've actually been bouncing around the idea of drawing fanart anyway to get noticed again. Mind you, I only draw what I enjoy, and have always found fanart to be stressful, since I always feel the impulse to make the characters in their proper style instead of my own, but I think I'm starting to grow out of that complex after seeing so much fanart of things I enjoy.
Things I might be interested in drawing...
Cute anime girls (Kemonomimi/Monster Girls are best)
Pokemon
Classic Spyro
Do you guys have any requests as well? (This only pertains to Anime and Videogames, plz nothing weird)
For those waiting on 2016's winter requests, don't worry, you'll be my first priority, I promise!

Life Update - Broke, Broke, and more Broke.
Posted 8 years agoSorry I haven't been around lately, or working on the requests I offered in December. I've been super stressed to the max! Today I just found out a stupid rule the army has about my Hubby's future job prospects. I guess they can't hire him until he's been retired for at least 180 days, it would have been nice if they warned us about this when it was announced that he'd be medically retired instead of waving a prospective job opportunity in front of us like a carrot on a stick! RAWR! So even if he does get this job, he wouldn't start working until June.
Currently we're tapped out on all our extra funds, credit cards are maxed out, and we're living off of his VA disability money, so pretty much we're trying to survive on half the funds for the same amount of bills.
On top of all the financial strain some of my computer equipment is starting to fail, so that is why I haven't been active art-wise, It is a bit hard to draw with my current setup, and strains my wrist too much. I have also not been in much of a drawing mood lately, with all the stress I'm stockpiling with the finances and family issues as well (a couple of my relatives haven't been faring well)
To top it off, the doctor diagnosed me with Shin and thigh splints! D: Pretty much I have microfractures throughout my legs caused by stress on my limbs, most likely from being overweight. =w= So he wants me to lose 100lbs, but he did say they should start healing when I start dropping some weight. Originally I was only 60lbs overweight, but with all the stress I've been having for the past 6 or so months I've gained about 40lbs. ;w; So I can stand or walk for very long without my legs hurting a lot. ;w;
Tae is a very stressed out kitty.

Life Update
Posted 9 years agoSo....Still dead ass broke. We've been skating by because my Mom is the most awesome and generous person in the world. =w=
Military still hasn't given hubby his last paycheck, his retirement pay starts February 1st, (It was supposed to start in Mid Jan, at least that it the impression I got), and it is less than previously estimated, so hubby is gonna send in a dispute form to the VA. We haven't heard back from the people that are supposed to hire him on post in a bit. (They were on a training exercise, I'm hoping it gets news within the next week or two)
Needless to say, with all the stress of falling behind on our finances and feeling like we're drowning I haven't been in a good enough mood to be productive art-wise. It also doesn't help that my monitored died, so I have to use my cintiq that busted a while ago. (So now I don't have room on my desk setup for my intuos tablet. )
The good new is the two job positions open for hubby are really good paying jobs (the lowest is $60k+ a year starting), He's pretty much guaranteed a position we just do not know which one yet. The lower paying one is a GS11 position and the higher one is GS13.
Me being the greedy little fluff-puff I am, I'm really hoping he gets the GS13 job, since he'd make pretty much almost $110K a year, which means more money to buy art from people, and to get new equipment. I window shop a lot to help stay positive, and this is what I'm looking forward to purchasing once our finances are straightened out, the Wacom Mobile Studio Pro 16. This way I can draw more comfortably, and anywhere! :D

Requests, Retirement, and Other News!
Posted 9 years agoI'm still alive, and planning on working on the requests I offered in November. Don't Worry I haven't Forgotten!
I've just been a bit busy, because I fell behind with school work again. My Husband is being medically retired from the Military, and we've been doing all of our out-processing and whatnot! His Last day is actually tomorrow
So needless to say I've been a bit stressed out. Especially when the military puts of a lovely bump in the road, usually we get paid the 1st and 15th of every month, but since he is retiring on the 12th we will not be paid on the 15th, and his retirement check doesn't start coming in until January. He also will not start work until then either, if he gets hired on as a civilian contractor on post. (To my knowledge, since they have to approve him, and everyone is gonna be on block leave for the holidays)
Blehhhhh
Needless to say, this will be a poor Christmas for us, but hopefully we'll make up for it January/February.
Ironically since I won't be able to make an appointment with my therapist until January/Febuary she told me to work on art more to destress. :3 So we will see.
(Since My Hubby is being a Retired Veteran instead of Active Duty my health benefits change and stuff, so I may need to re-establish my referrals and whatnot)

Not one to talk politics but....
Posted 9 years agoLet's reunite and work together, the hate still being perpetuated is astounding, and very disappointing. The people have spoken, so let us respect our constitutional values and move on. Rioting, assaulting and abusing people of opposing perceptions isn't going to change the results of the election. The politicians have put aside their differences, so let the common people follow suit. Judge the man on his future actions, not on the theatrics of the campaign trail.

Personally I have been for Trump from the beginning (After Ben Carson), and am happy with the results. I admit, I haven't always been happy with how he has presented himself, but in the same turn it made him seem more real to me, and less like a polished politician. I am not affiliated with any specific party, I'd say I'm more centrist than anything, so please don't assume my views on specific agendas. At this time only I'll allow straightforward questions on my views, but only on where I stand. Do not take this as an opportunity to attack me, start a heated debate, try to change my views, etc. Be respectful.
If you feel my personal beliefs affect your opinion of me, as an artist, and that you no longer feel you can support my page, please make your choice quietly. There is no need to draw negative attention to either of us, share love not hate! Be tolerant, considerate, and respectful of opposing beliefs!
....and most of all please don't feel the need to lynch me! 0'w'0

<3 Doodles will be random, and my choice, it might be a headshot, chibi, or anything >'w'> If you've been keeping tabs on me you know what my doodles look like, hue hue.

People advertising themselves on submissions? (Rant)
Posted 9 years agoHow the hell do you stop it? It has been a problem for me for a while now where people will advertise themselves on my submissions (Moreso on DA than FA) and it always requires a lot of effort from me not to bite people's heads off. I find it to be rude, stupid, and disrespectful. It isn't a good way to connect with people or network. All you're doing if pissing off the artist you're hi-jacking attention from, and the people who you are trying to get attention from aren't interested with you. If you want to get popular or just noticed in general, use you own effort and time. 0'.....'0 Grrr
Officially diagnosed as a derp! (and other news)
Posted 9 years agoOfficially diagnosed as a derp, yep. >w> Just got my results back, diagnosed with Inattentive ADHD, generally known as ADD. So my spazziness has a legitimate excuse! :D (I'm gonna make an appointment with my regular doctor for meds so I struggle less with school) Also with school I didn't realize that my course involved math, which I suck at terribly, so trying to refresh myself on slightly advanced algebra, but word problems are still confusing.
Now for the part most people are interested in.....art! I haven't been slacking, I just don't have much digital art at the moment, but would you be interested in seeing some traditional works? I have a small collection saved up that I've been working on this year. >w> So I might spam your inboxes in the near future.
My husband has also finally gotten his official date for medical retirement, so our lives might be changing dramatically by christmas. We don't know if we're moving yet or not, but we'll be taking it one day at a time.

Sorry for my absence. (COLLEGE IS HARD!)
Posted 9 years agoYep, pretty much have been struggling too much with college to draw anything besides phone doodles. Any tips for those extra boring chapters I difficulty concentrating on? Generally it used to take me about 3-4 days to finish a chapter, and now it is taking me a little over a week. xD In order to stay on schedule I should be finishing a chapter (and the worksheets/essays involved) within a week of starting it. Blehhh....school is sooo hard when you don't have anyone who you can talk to about it. D: (I tried reading a paragraph to my hubby the other day and he started snoring. ;w; )
Having a challenging year.
Posted 9 years agoBleh, I just wanna apologize to peeps waiting on stuff from me, and the fact I haven't been very social lately. I've had a lot of stress of my plate with starting school, people trying to kill us on the road (twice this week), my dad being in and out of the ICU (Not to mention learning about complications with his illness), and a couple of other things (Like losing my bank card in Dallas... T_T and having PC issues and having to buy new parts) I've been pretty much running on autopilot and junk food. =w=
Needless to say I've had a lot on my mind lately, and have been trying to reevaluate what should be important to me. So I haven't been in the right frame of mind for art progression or conversation in general. Hopefully I can snap out of this funk asap though. Just been a roller-coaster ride this month is all. I'm hoping this new week will be more positive.
I still try to doodle on my phone occasionally, but I have yet to finish any major projects this year, and I want to apologize to my watchers for that. Things just keep coming up, and it is really hurting my art mojo.

I'm still alive!
Posted 9 years agoI realize i haven't updated my journals in forever and the last one was kind of depressing. I'm still alive, things have been for the most part getting better since my last journal of butt hurt. We have a new 2016 Hyundai Elantra, and it has a lot of shiny features! It also it really good on gas mileage and stuff.
I'm going to start going back to school in about May-ish. The military has a program for spouses to take certain courses for free. Pretty much a scholarship, I just have to wait until after my appointment with a career counselor to get my scholarship approved! I'm going to be going to school for Medical billing and Coding, which I was told was a job I can do from home, so that is pretty sweet.
Art is a bit slow because I've been working on two big projects, one of which is a commission for someone offline, so I'm sorry I've been sort of non-existent lately. I've also been going to a ton of appointments with my Hubby as we prepare for his transition into medical retirement.
So here's hoping for smooth and happy sailing for the rest of the year. Once I finish my big projects I should get more active again.
(I've also been insanely and shamelessly addicted to World of Warcraft recently. )
