Starting the Year on the wrong foot.
Posted 9 years agoBleh, our faithful rust bucket has finally died dis morning, so we are currently without a vehicle at the moment. I might test out YCH auctions in the near future.
I also recently had a procedure called an esophageal dilation, because I've been having difficulty swallowing food for a long time. The Doctor says I'm allergic to something I'm eating and that I need to figure out what it is to prevent this issue in the future. Ever since the procedure my esophagus has been very sore, and I've has a lot of fatigue, but I can actually keep my food down.
It has been super windy here in Texas so my outdoor allergies have been horrible. The doctor recently put me on a new medication and gave me a new inhaler to relieve my asthma symptoms caused by my allergies acting up.
I've also been sick with sore throat, coughing, fatigue, and low-fever.
Pretty much just BLAH! and Playing WoW to make myself feel better.

I found it!

Inactivity do to being a derp.
Posted 10 years agoSo...The reason for the lack of art is...I misplaced my tablet pen. ;>...> I shall spam you with phone doodles in the mean time!
New Year, new stuff!
Posted 10 years agoI'm sorry I'm being slow about updating art work, been busy spending quality time with mah hubby. Now that he's back on a full-time work schedule I should be able to focus more. >3> I'm working on some decent project at the moment. (really trying to push myself this year) So the updates will be slow. In between projects I'll post small doodles to try and force myself to be more active. they're mostly just experiments and stuff to stop being lazy. Here's to a new year, and hopefully a new me. :3 I know I was really lazy last year, My goal is to post at least once a week from now on.
Sorry for inactivity!
Posted 10 years agoI just wanted to apologize again for inactivity. I've been busy driving my hubby everywhere, including to work, so I've been really exhausted and sleep deprived...so been too tired to art. during the holiday week I should be able to catch up hopefully.
Crisis Update
Posted 10 years agoDo my lovely Waifu and Mama were generous enough to gift us some early Christmas money to help keep our boat afloat, but I am still comfortable taking small commissions to help gain a bit more cushion (We still need about $200 to completely soften the financial blow) due to all the extra stress my health has been suffering, as well as taking care of my hubby while he's been recovering from surgery so I'm sorry for the lack of art.
On another note, I have about 3 art projects I'm currently working on, but the pace is slow because I've been having issues with tendinitis flare ups. I need to lay off the Ibuprofen because I've been having complications with my ulcers and such (I actually have to go to appointments for this very soon) Does anyone have tips to aid in art productivity? (Ie: make the swelling/pain go down without hindering my productivity) I don't want to continue taking breaks (That last for days), because I'm starting to lose the attention on these sites because my productivity slowed down. D: Tips would be appreciative!

Hubby's Surgery
Posted 10 years ago....went well! We'll see in a couple weeks it if was a complete success or not. W00t! For those that didn't know he was having a heel-spur removed. Unfortunately not all of it could be removed since it was partly in the tendon. Bah. Resting and recovering, had a long couple of days. Still doing the Urgent sale though if anyone it interest. http://www.furaffinity.net/journal/7218250/
For now I'm gonna rest this weekend, and try to keep him off his feet. (Has a very stubborn independent dragon-hubby)

Emergency commissions!
Posted 10 years agoHey guys, I know I haven't been as active lately, been a bit busy. I've been in a sorry state lately, and fell behind on my bills a little, after there was a miscommunication with my bank and our phone company, and we've been having difficulty recovering. On top of that we have to re-register our car this month, and my husband is having surgery on Friday.
I'd really appreciate it if you spread the word.
We need to make $550.27USD to get caught up on all our bills before the 15th.
I would appreciate any help I can get. I'm willing to draw anything listed in my Commission Info.
I will also be offering a small sale on Chibi and Waist-up couple/group pics. (Additional characters will be 25% instead of 50% original price, and basic backgrounds will be free on all purchases.

Pray for Paris!
Posted 10 years agoKeep Paris in your thoughts and prayers, this is such a devastating tragedy.
Appreciate the little things.
Posted 10 years agoIt's funny how such small changes can have such gigantic influences. In the third grade I was unfortunate enough to suffer Sierra's Nevada's infamous high winds with a subtle slam of a door to the face. This incident left me missing half of one of my front teeth. The dentist didn't want to give me a permanent crown until I was 18, but the temporaries are easy to stain and break easy, so I suffered from elementary school, all the way to post graduating feeling insecure and being teased, and never comfortable enough to smile. Not to mention multiple dental visits to fix broken temporaries, leaving me with an irrational fear of the dental office.
Not anymore, recently Hubby and I were able to carefully budget some hefty dental work for myself, which I've passively mentioned over the past couple months, and finally after about 10yrs I got that ugly old temporary removed, right now I have a shiny new one, and in a couple weeks (Dec 17th) I finally get a permanent porcelain crown so I can smile with confidence!
I didn't realize how much my front teeth affected me until I got my new temporary, I still have trouble grasping the fact that I can smile and it almost looks completely normal. (The temp is more bleach white instead of natural white, so almost normal) I've never been able to show off a full smile, so it will be big adjustment.
I can't wait, I'm so happy about it, because it caused me so much grief for so long. ;w;

Temporary Blindness
Posted 10 years agoHey all, just wanted to apologize to the lack of art. I've been having issues lately where a weird phenomenon happens. My vision will get blurry and distorted, (Like I'm looking through water, or broken glass), and sometimes I'll get a more severe blindness, either around the edges of my vision, my peripherals, or the worst time was completely in one eye. I also noticed that during these episodes one of my pupils will be slightly larger than the other.
I plan on making an appointment with my doctor, but I wonder if I need to get my medical records from my old hospital first. (I used to go to an Eye specialist annually in CA most of my life, but when I moved from Nevada to Texas I never had a chance to have my stuff faxed, and now I don't really know the process of doing it) It is very scary, and I'm hoping it is just an issue with scare tissue (I had cataract removal/Lens replacement surgery on both eyes, and over the years have had to have scar tissue buildup removed periodically)
On top of this I've been having a lot of personal stress, which probably isn't helping the whole situation. So please be patient with me, and look forward to my stuff in the future! :D
(If anyone can give me advice on the order to best handle this situation, I'd be most grateful)

Greedy Commissions? (Please PLEASE read)
Posted 10 years agoHey all, still slowly working on the presents I promised my Hubby. After I finished though I was thinking about reopening for commissions. Granted my Cintiq is still out of commission, but I think I'm getting back up to snuff with my Intuos. (Line art is the only think I struggle with)
So....I wanted to know. what is your opinion about Greedy Commissions? Meaning I really want to get the word out that I just want commission so I can treat myself. Most of my commission money in the past has gone to bills and food....but honestly I haven't bought anything for myself, honestly, in about three years, and I really want to. I also want to be able to buy gifts for certain people for Christmas. I want to buy myself new clothes, fun stuff off Amazon, etc...without feeling guilty, or stressed.
I'm willing to change my commission information to accommodate to people, or maybe run a sale. What would make you more interested in my art, and willing to buy from me if I reopen for commissions?

Are you okay with Sketches?
Posted 10 years agoSince I'm slow at finishing my art, mostly because I take my sweet-ass time with the lines, would it bother you guys if I start posting all my sketches from now on in general? I know most people probably prefer seeing finished work only, but I really want to try to keep active instead of disappearing for weeks on end.
I also wanted to let people know I'm gonna be doing a few experiments, so I'll be open to constructive criticism on my work. Just please remember to be respectful, and try you best not to be vague. :D I also want to know what you guys would like to see more of from me. >w>
Last question...With my skills on the Intuos should I reopen for commissions? They won't have the same turn around time as with my Cintiq, but I don't think my skills have declined too much with the change in equipment.
(I still want to get the Cintiq fixed, but right now I need to prioritize other stuff financially. Like renewing the registration on our crappy rust bucket this winter, and Christmas is just around the corner. )

Cintiq Update...So much Sad! D:
Posted 10 years agoWe finally called tech support today, and it looks like I'll have to send my Cintiq in for repairs. I do not know why or how it started to malfunction, but something is wrong internally. Maybe a circuit fried? The status light is dead, as are the communications to my pen.
I dunno how much it'll cost just yet, but I'd really appreciate a good shout out from peeps when I know the numbers. I plan on working extra hard to practice with my Intuos, so if anyone is interested in commissions I'll be opening back up once I get a better feel of the Intuos (and properly calibrate it)
In the mean time, would you be interested in seeing some of my personal stuff from my sketch books? They aren't as good as my digital stuff In my opinion., but I've been making sure not to get rusty with drawing in my down time. Lots of doodles of my characters, pokemon, and some porn. ;>w>

Sadness and pain.
Posted 10 years agoAll my wisdom teeth are gone now. I feel really sore, and exhausted.
I'm also sad because even though I bought a new cintiq pen, it still isn't working. If anyone has any ideas, here's all the information I posted on the wacom forums.
http://forum.wacom.eu/viewtopic.php.....p=85363#p85363
If you have a suggestion about something I missed that'd be awesome! I really wanna get back to drawing on the pc, and the intuos is too much trouble with my current desk layout.

People are stupid.
Posted 10 years agoArtists with a mega ego, and lack of customer service skills, have no business trying to sell their services to the public. Customers are not meant to kiss your ass and put up with immature behavior just because you hold yourself on a pedestal. That is all.
This is directed at the sudden influx of ass-hat jounrals I've been seeing lately. The only thing I expect from customers is basic respect and money. xD Common sense isn't as common, so when people get confused or ask me questions that could be answered reading my FAQ I'm not gonna be rude. If you're considering buying art from me I am always grateful and appreciative, not to mentioned honored that you find an interest in my art. I dunno why other artists lose sight of this and gain a mega attitude.
I also might be a bit pissy since I'm so stressed out about getting my wisdom teeth removed on Thursday. ;w; hopefully my new pen arrives soon.
Also head's up I may start adding porn to my gallery. I've been wanting to draw it for a while, so thought I might start practicing more. I just want to experiment a lot with different things I've been avoiding, like porn, 'painted' backgrounds, different styles. I just wanna grow a bit. Porn will never become my main focus though. It is just a skill I wanna develope.

Update - Semi-Continued Hiatus
Posted 10 years agoSo i still haven't bought a new Cintiq pen. I have concluded that to be the problem with my device after discussing the issue on the Wacom Forums. If finances allow, I may try to order one on the 15th, but some stuff came up again.
Today I just came back for a thorough exam at the dentistry. I have a lot of problems I'm going to be trying to get fixed in a short amount of time. The most major being I'm having all my wisdom teeth removed on the 17th. I will also be getting another root canal in October, though not as severe as the one I had this summer. I was approved for a medical credit-card to be used for my dental procedures, so I'm not worried about paying large sums of money at once, but it is still another bill added to our giant stack of debt.
Even though I'm worried about our current finances I have decided that I need to start putting my health first as a priority, especially since I may lose my insurance next Spring. The reason for this is my husband may be leaving the military, depending on multiple factors. The biggest being he has to have surgery this Autumn to remove a bone spur growing around his Achilles tendon. It is a risky procedure, and if something goes wrong he may be getting medically retired from the military. He needs it removed because it is causing his horrible pain, and the more it grows the more pain it is causing him. (To the point that he is currently on crutches)
So with that stress, and the fact I can't use the Cintiq, art may continue to be slow for a little while. I may try to use the intuos, but it is extremely awkward for me, since I haven't touched it in 4yrs.

Tablet Pen....Fall Sale?
Posted 10 years agoSo, I haven't called Wacom just yet, but after going through everything, and ruling out most possibilities, my husband and I came to the conclusion that I probably need a new Tablet Pen. They are about $65-$70....but we're gonna try to get one on his next paycheck.
This bums me out so much, so I would really love to advertise a Fall Sale or Promotion. I'm thinking Icons, but hubby suggested Halloween-Themed Pin-ups, I'm also thinking of hosting a small raffle as a thank you to my current watchers. and maybe gain more...
You don't have to worry, even if my Cintiq is out of commission right now, I actually have an old Intuos 3 Tablet that has been collecting dust, so I'll be getting that out some time today. I just hate it, and prefer my Cintiq since I can see where my hands are....
So would you guys be interested in anything I've suggested? Or have a different idea that you think would be more popular? :D I'd really appreciate it!

Tablet update.
Posted 10 years ago***UPDATE***
So I've tried everything. I tried reinstalling the most up-to-date drivers, using an older version of them, doing the whole PC recovery from an earlier date thingy, pretty much anything I could find online.
I've narrowed the problem to my Grip pen drivers refusing to install properly. The rest of my Cintiq drivers are fine, but the ones for the pen itself aren't showing up at all. this is a software issue, not a hardware one.

(Under tools my Grip pen should show up)
The only thing I haven't tried is to wipe my PC completely and start from scratch, and I really don't want to do that.
If anyone has any ideas, that would be awesome. I plan on calling Customer Support tomorrow.

Tablet Pen stopped working.
Posted 10 years agoI have a Cintiq 21UX, and have been using Windows 7 64bit as of late. (I used to have windows 8, but the disc went missing in the move, and I had to wipe my PC a couple months ago. ;w; ) Ever since I made this change Windows 7 has been uninstalling my tablet drivers for some reason, but it was no biggie. It'd just get rid of my pen pressure, and once I reinstalled the drivers it was okay.
Starting last night though, my pen won't work at all. It doesn't move my cursor or anything.
I've restarted my PC, I've uninstalled and reinstalled my drivers at least three times, I've unplugged the USB....I even tried to follow this tutorial ..> Link but when I did the "tabletservicewacom" wasn't there.
I'm extremely frustrated and stressed out, because I've never had this happen before. Any advice and tips would be greatly appreciated!
