I was meant to post a notice on Friday morning, but they pretty much dragged me a way before I was done writing it.

Context: I've been suffering of some very strong leg and lower belly cramps/spasms ever since I'm in the hospital. a sad side effect from losing my ability to walk. The medication (muscle relaxers) I'm taking would stop this, but you're only allowed a certain dosage a day. Sadly I hit the limit and the spasms are still to strong, so I'm forced to take a medical pump in my body. This pump will be more effective compared to the pills, but you need several operation for it.

Anyway, Thursday (March 17th) evening I received some good news, someone dropped out of the surgery list and this opened up a slot for me. The surgery was going to happen the next day, Friday, morning. Which was maybe a tad too close for me, my mind was rushing out to all sorts of places. But in the end I decided to take it. Friday morning they picked me up, put me in the waiting room. And not even 10 minutes later I was asleep. Quite quick for once.

And after 3 days of being forced to lay on my back, I'm finally sitting up again.
I got the first part in my body now, a tube that is attached to my spine to dispense the medication. Next week they'll start tests to see how I react to it, and after the testing phase, I'll have to wait for the pump itself.

Moving forward in the world now, bit by bit.

Sorry that I haven't been active, this is because I'm still in the hospital, and certain sites are blocked on the hospital wifi, but I managed to bypass it.

December 20th I went to the hospital to get rid of a problem in my back, but the first operation failed, 27th was a second attempt but that one failed too
Yesterday January 6th I had my third one and that one was a success. The problem is removed and hopefully no other area starts to act up. If everything goes right, I should be home in a week or 2 as I need to learn to walk again.

Hopefully I'll be back soon to work on art.

I've been holding off announcing this for a long time. I've been talking about my health issue here and there, but never put it under a big spotlight. I didn't want to make people feel bad/afraid for several months. Nor did I want any kind of pity points.
I received the news in October, but I couldn't do much but wait, till now.
On the 20th December I'll be going to the hospital for a surgery NEAR my back. Nothing directly with the spine, but near it. There's a difference, less impactful.

A group of small blood vessels have entangled themselves around a major artery. The constant pulsing of the artery puts a pressure on these vessels causing them to expand. Which in turn causes them to put a pressure on my nerve. Resulting in me losing my feeling and mobility in my legs/hips.
I honestly forgot the correct medical name for this, google isn't helping either.

This started probably in August this year. Maybe earlier but didn't pay attention to it. It started with no sense of heat in my legs, thinking the bath had no warm water, only to be surprised when I sat down. The symptoms became more obvious over September where I was having more tripping (loss of balance) and sleeping toes. Eventually had a talk with a neurologist and later an expert on spine issues. Discovering the above issue.
2 Months later and it's starting to put some heavy strain on me, barely able to walk around without having to support myself somewhere, stairs are a pain and I'm missing my bike to move around. It also made me realize how shitty the walkways are here in my town.

So hopefully this surgery will remove the issue and bring me my mobility back. Basically going to burn the veins so no more blood goes through them, similar on how they treat a constant nosebleed. That or use glue... yeah weird. I'm just glad it's nothing with my spine itself. I'll have to remain at the hospital for 4 days to recover (standard procedure), and if everything goes right, I'll be home by Christmas. During my stay I'll have a laptop with me to keep me entertained. I have my models and Blender installed on it, but I'm not sure if I'll be able to get any work done. I don't think the laptop has the power to render, so I'll probably do poses and then put them on my pc to render. But I really hate working with a mousepad, so maybe nothing will happen, we'll see. . One thing is certain, I'll remain in contact on Discord.

TL;DR: Slowly becoming paraplegic, getting operation to stop it and recover, Won't be able to do shit for a few days.

Our cat Dushi has passed away this night.
She was a kind and sweet cat, one of the first cats we've adopted from the local cat shelter.
We were very hopeful for her recovery, but she suddenly passed away. At least she died in her home surrounded by her friends.

All remaining donations will be send to the local cat shelter to help the local cats.
I've promised my sister that the commissions will remain open till the 17th.

I feel like I should give an explanation on Kiki and some other stuff. It's going to be a bit of a read, but if you're wondering about her and Shantae, read the next line.

Who is Kiki?
Kiki is largely based on Shantae's monkey form (I'm not going to deny this, very heavily inspired) and strangely enough, my starbound character with the same name. A purple female Apex.
She's from Felicia's and Kimiko's world, but not from the island that Kimiko and Felicia live on. One of the reason why the forest elves can't talk to monkeys, it's because they don't exist where they live.
Kiki is me caving into the idea of a monkey oc after the Kong pack got released by Kabalmystic. As all but one monkey had no tail, it kinda bothered me to the point where I decided to make my own. I hope she's going to be as enjoyable as Felicia and Kimiko.


What is Kiki's role?
Besides giving monkeys some more love, she's actually meant to be the third and last OC I wanted to make.
Early on when I made Felicia I had the plan for 2 extra characters to be added to compliment Felicia.
A human who was going to be Felicia's childhood friend, to be the anchor point for the human side for Felicia and the average height character.
And a wildcard, who became Kimiko. Kimiko sort of took the childhood friend idea, including the "you've grown quite a bit" joke. And took the roll of the largest character.

As Felicia got fleshed out, so did the need for a human character, she kind of became the human anchor point herself. And honestly, Felicia also is considered as a human, kind of lowering the uniqueness.
There have been other characters interacting with Felicia and Kimiko, guest characters as I'd like to call them.

I hope this clears up some stuff explains my complex mind of things.

Thank you all for the bday wishes and gifts. And again, no worries if you couldn't supply me a drawing, I rather have you having a good time or work on your commissions. It's the gesture that counts.

Still sad I missed July 4th's picture. I wasn't feeling it and also forgot to do the message. So happy (very late) 4th of July, wave them stars and stripes. Maybe next year I'll get a picture done? Or at least use the idea in a future image. I mean stars and striped bikini isn't an uncommon thing to see.

Speaking of future, I might have 2 things in mind to drop. I'm not going to say it yet to avoid disappointment. It really depends on how work is treating me. Which is much better atm really. Not that moving trash around was a bad thing, I didn't mind it, but working on toys and making sure they're in good shape is fun too. Kinda tickles that old dream I had of making toys when I was a kid.

Birthday wish is like last year, Felicia fanart is welcome, but not required.
Also apologies for not uploading stuff in the weekend. I've spend those 2 days working on the Bday picture. It's a really big one.

So far, it's pretty good.

I won't bore you with all the details, but smashing stuff up and putting it in the right container is fun to do. The people I work with are really nice and I love the working environment.
It has somewhat impacted my art stuff, but I'm sure that it'll improve over time. I'm mostly tired from the trip back home. The blistering sun on my head while I'm on my bike for 4ish KM's isn't the greatest. But I'll survive :p

I'm happy to say that life is finally moving forward.
In 2 weeks from now I (hopefully) will be starting my job in training for 2 months. Mainly to get more experience (any really).
I have no idea how much this will impact art time as of now. But it'll be part time, so I'll have half a day free time. Mind you, this sadly doesn't count as a real job, so commissions will have to wait.

Speaking of art time, you might have noticed that I've been uploading daily (with a day off at times).
I've challenged myself to get an image done every day, just because of how lazy I sometimes am. Thanks to the many questions you guys and gals send to me, I can do a quick render when I don't have any ideas to render. It also helps to expand Felicia's lore.

Also, just because this has been annoying me and I can address this now. I'm sorry if I don't reply to comments that often. Or on other sites like Twitter and whatever DA has as a chat system.
I read your comments and try to reply to them if I can. As for Twitter, I only use it to upload my stuff and to reply to friends. Honestly I'm more actively talking on Discord. Which I'll also advertise soonish as a yearly tradition. So you know what to expect as an image soon :p

I've been only hearing praise for it, and honestly I'm slacking on uploading alts of images. I tried to link them to Twitter since they allow up to 4 images, but it's true, the quality is pretty low. My other idea was to upload these to Patreon, but I forgot that images with nudity need to be a patron only upload, which means you have to spend money to see the alts, and I'm not going to do that.

So yeah, I'm experimenting with this program, and hope I'm not going to screw up too much with tags and ratings.
Single Images are still going to be uploaded manually.

I've been debating about making an account for a while, and with the recent shenanigans with Patreon I figured it's the right time to make one.

The Subscribestar account will be the same as the patreon one. It will serve as a download and potential tipping site. Stuff will still be for free, unless I were to break this one milestone. (But who is gonna do that :p)


This is just a backup in case Patreon burns down as many have been discussing.

First of all, I'm not dead. I'm just lazy and took a short break from art. I'm in good health, besides an infection on my left eye... bah. With the funny flue still going around this might be a thing I should mention this.

If you're on SoutherWigWam's 18+ Discord (shameless plug), you might have noticed that i've been busy with some redesign on Felicia.
She has received a new body, an overhaul on materials and some new clothes. The idea was to reveal this in a nice collage, but Memes have to ruin it and upload something earlier then I was able to do.


Commissions are still closed because of reasons that are a bit too personal to talk about. But hopefully once stuff finally settles IRL I'll reopen them. Stupid virus.

I decided not to bother with stuff for the week and got myself to work on another character as you can see :p.
I always wanted a panda character alongside my list of models. I was excited to hear (a while ago) someone was planning to commission a panda OC by KabalMystic, but dropped the idea.
It was a nice change for me to learn some new methods on making a model, this one having it's head actually stuck to the body instead of the floating heads like the Sonic models and her top being a better attempt then my other clothing attempts.

Hopefully soon I'll be able to do some more commissions. Still not feeling 100% for it. Stupid cold.

With the lack of work IRL and pressure on me, I'm pushing my Patreon to be a financial stress relief.

My Patreon page will undergo some changes, mainly going to a monthly payment instead of "per creation" but that shouldn't change too much as I only charged once a month in the past with a message. I might even have skipped a few.

The funeral happened on Friday 2nd of August. Many tears were shed and the ties between family members have gotten stronger.
A heavy weight has fallen off our shoulders, but we are still not in the clear here. Unlike in the movies, inheritance taxes are real and they will hit us hard as Mom never got to change her will to gift us the house and stuff. The whole process was started, but she passed away before it was finished. Seriously changing your will takes weeks! That's just BS.

The funeral, medical costs and inheritance taxes are going to pile up on us like crazy, so we will need to get as much money as we can while being resourceful as possible..
I'm currently looking for a job and hopefully someone from the family can hook me up with one soon. In the meantime I've decided to push my 3D stuff to the next level.

I will be opening commissions soon. I'm somewhat nervous as I've been delaying this for years. There was the odd commission I did, but it's still something I'm not too familiar with.

The dream would be to get enough money to support the family and myself with doing 3D model stuff, but I'm not putting this in high hopes.
Still the extra Euro gained from these will help tremendously.

On the 25th of July, around 11PM CEST I received the news that my mother had passed away.

She was moved to a closer hospital today and my sister with her husband and kids went to visit her there. She was still alive at that time.
Later in the evening my sister received a call that mom had passed away unexpectedly.

The last words that my mom said were: "See you tomorrow.".
I planned to visit her tomorrow as she was closer.

I will receive more details later today when the family had their sleep, I hope she didn't had to suffer her last moments.

Rest in peace mom age 53. (1965 - 2019)

It's not been easy for anyone here, especially for my sister and my mom. They're very close and it's heartbreaking to see them cry all the time. It still feels weird to say that my mom is dying. She's currently stable (as far as stable goes), well aware of the situation and basically waiting out her time.

We've been discussing the future and the costs that will await us.
To help I'm planning to open up commission work so I can help with the costs.
I still need to figure out some details like paypal setup and what stuff I could do. If you have ideas on stuff I could do please share. It will help a lot.

I know I said that I was going to do a follow up the next day in my last journal, but I just couldn't, sorry :(

I'm not the type of person that talks about his life that often in public. So this will be a surprise for a lot of people.

My mom and I always kept our chin up. But secretly I felt that this was coming, and I think she did too.
My mom had a lung transplantation a few years ago. She received it well and was doing great till last year where her health was diminishing quicker.
Starting this year she was visiting the hospital more often for infections and treatments. End May, begin June she went to the hospital again for breathing problems, stuff just went downhill from then on.

Wrong diagnoses, heavy medication that was not needed, her being in a room with another sick person which would compromise her health even more.
The worst one was an intern nurse that left my mom on the toilet while she was having a minor stroke. Ignoring her and leaving her there because my sister was annoyed at the nurse for doing a poor job earlier that day. (The hospital has denied this and is protecting the nurse. We're planning on a court case for this one, but it might be futile.)

This Wednesday, July 17th we received the news that she has been denied another surgery from a different nurse, something that isn't allowed to be said by them mind you, only a doctor can claim this.
Today I received the news that my mom has been put on Palliative Care and will not be coming home anymore. She and her heart are to weak to take another transplant.
It's unknown for how long she will remain here. We're pushing for a transfer to a closer hospital so it's easier for us to visit her for the short time she has left. It's unknown if it's a few days, weeks or even months that she will be alive. But it has been decided that if the breathing problems get too bad, she will receive meds that will put her asleep.


Things are currently chaotic here. My sister and her husband are angry at the hospital and blame them for the poor health she ended up.
Meanwhile I'm sitting here calm and haven't shed a tear yet. Maybe it needs to catch up in my head first. Maybe I already made peace with the idea? I don't know and I'm bothered by it.

I wrote this message just before I'm going to bed. My apologies if stuff looks rambled and confusing. I'll post another message when I wake up, assuming I did managed to sleep a bit.
