Welp! Arrgh?
General | Posted 8 years agoToday I fianlly brought Gin into the house. He spent a good week in the shed. Other than the daily or more than once daily visits and being out of the crate. Hes been a bit alone. RL does that when hes not right in the home. I had meant to bring him and the cage in the house for a few days but RL kept tossing me Curves and Roadblocks. Having finally gotten Things set on the fence for friends property and other RL things. This afternoon we finally brought the cage in and the items. Its sitting in my kitchen with one Kitten Gin in it. The Arrgh is listening to him cry. I have had him out a bit and finally after my other Cat Ce Ce showed up and hissed at him very menacingly I put him back after a couple hours of him being out.
I suspect that tonight will be not so fun when the other cats finally get up to the crate and interact with Gin. Such is life. like all cats I have brought home the adjustment will begin. Roommate calls Gin (Junior) which is kind of funny but fitting. I have rather enjoyed the time with him out watching him explore and then run up and jump on me while I laid on the couch. I do hope that Gin keeps out of trouble. Chewing cords and some other things will be the next thing to watch out for.

Innocent and love.
General | Posted 8 years agoToday I spent several hours with Gin. The new addition to my home. I always knew Gin was going to be a great pet. Even when I first started touching him as I fed him in the wild and at the food dish he purred. That has not stopped one bit. In fact hes overly loving and constantly wants attention and more. In any new pet this is a good thing. Bonds are being forged and In a few days he will be healed up enough to bring into the house. That will be the nest step of introducing him to the family. I will bring in the whole cage have him in it. This way the other cats can visit and they can get used to him.
I can see the spot where I buried Pumpkin and it still makes me tear up. At least I was able to save one cat from the dangers and worse that the outdoors has for cats. When I look at it the attrition rate of one out of four is not good for wild cats. And we fed and protected them as best as we could. I guess nature has its balances so to speak.
One thing I noticed right away was that flea's were falling off Gin like rain. Whatever they treated him with really works. Today I could not find a single one on him. The blanket has lots of black dots that are dead flea's. I guess I need to wash it already. He is eating and is very hungry. This again is a great sign.
We went back to the other home and after some calling and worrying because we had taken the kittens we figured Mommy cat had vacated the area. Sure enough she showed up and was crying for her food. I also noticed the big black Tom Cat hanging around again so I am figuring that she is about to go into heat again. Next week Roommate gets paid and we can catch and bring her in for treatment. That will solve the more kitten issue and maybe calm her down into a handle cat also.
Getting back home we took a break and Roommate made soft food for Gin and we went out to the shed and She fed and handled him also for a good hour. Hee are some pix of Gin

Sigh.
General | Posted 8 years agoToday I buried someone that I loved and cared for. It is a rather sad time. This is perhaps a sad result if my wanting to save someone from a life of near starvation and perhaps other nasty things. Late last winter My friend and I began to feed a straggly cat at her home. It slowly improved and then it vanished for a week then two and when it showed up it had four kittens with it.
Surprised as we were I had to smile and we began to feed the mother and soon the children. At one month one of the kittens vanished. I was sad but life outdoors is mean and we do have hawks and Owls along with perhaps Coyotes. We continued to feed them and watched them grow up and after a while I was able to touch two of the kittens. One was tan the other was tan and white. The very shy one was Orange.
Months went by and they grew up and perhaps it was time to catch them and have them fixed. That was when the tan and white one disappeared. I again decided to capture the last two and began to feed them in a pet carrier. Harvey arrived and we went to the effort to make a nice place for them on the porch of the home. Elevated and in a former plastic dog house we put blankets and fed them up there.
Yesterday I finally captured the two kittens and was going to keep them as companions in my home. At this point I could touch and even hold the two kittens. I had dome some calling to find a reasonable place to get them fixed and shots. I do miss Austin and the place that did it Virtually free but I am further away. Still I had invested in the two renaming kittens and bough a mid sized dog cage to house them before and after for the days it would take for them to recover.
I got up early with roommate and packed up the kittens and drove to the place and dropped them off for Neutering. (Turns out they were both male) The Orange one We called Pumpkin and the tan I called Ginger. I guess I will rename later. We drove home tired from being up early and went to bed. Pick up time was 2pm to 4pm.
I woke up to a call from the Vet and they were very sorry but Pumpkin died after they gave it anesthesia. It died so fast they had no luck trying to revive him. I sat stunned. Here i took in what I thought was a very healthy young adult cat for a neuter and now it was dead. Ginger had no issues and was ready to pick up.
We went back and picked up Ginger and Pumpkins body. I was still upset and angry. I know that life is fickle but Pumpkin had a wonderful life to live yet and now he is gone. My roommate cried on the way back and now that I have finished burying him so am I. I look at Ginger and pet her now and wonder if he will miss his buddy soon.
Sometimes life tosses you a curve ball and either you catch it or not. The thing to do is to look forward and remember that I did my best trying to save two kittens and at least one will have a good home and life... Sigh RIP Pumpkin....

Kittys....Helop?
General | Posted 8 years agoWell Its been a while now that I have been feeding a stray cat at my friends place. Mommy kitty. Showed up all thin and straggly back at the end of winter. I began to feed her and we also noticed that there were two more cats around. Soon Mommy Kitty began to get big and we were more religions about feeding her. Every two days we would arrive and I would do things and also put out a bowl of food for her to eat. She was always skiddish and I never could touch her.
Then about a month later she had 4 kittens. About two weeks later we began to see them and I was a bit saddened that they looked so thin and more. Soon they began to come and try to eat the food and we began to set out canned food for them. As they grew I had made plans to catch them and get them adopted maybe. My old cat Yashiko Kun is getting very old and Ce Ce is always beating him up. Still we fed and watched. About a month and a half later My roommate managed to pick up one and pet it a bit and set it down. Sadly next visit one of the other kittens vanished. I am thinking an owl or something got it. Still three remained and they began to grow and one was rather friendly it was tan and white. I was going to catch that one. Two weeks later it vanished. I was sad.
Time passed and they grew to a good size and the Mommy and the two left were always waiting for their food when we arrived. I was so scared for them when the Hurricane came through but they made it fine. We had just begun to feed them on her fathers porch that is about four foot off the ground and had a nice roof over it. I spent a day taking the old plastic dog house and cleaning it up and then putting in an old blanket for them to be in. It was no surprise to find them in it when we arrived to feed them during the rains.
During the past months I had begun to feed them by putting the food dishes into a mid sized pet carrier. After a while I could actually close the door on them and watch them eat. I never kept them locked but I was getting ready to take them when it was time. Too many times my roommate had talked me out of taking them because of Money issues. Well they were soon to be to big for momma and I know that fall is almost here and that means kitty's will be in heat and god we cant have more kitty's around.
I got paid on the 20th of the month or as my schedule is the 3rd Wednesday of the month. I found a place not to far away that does Spay and neuter for wild cats at a discount. So I Planned to catch them and bring them in. I called Tuesday and scheduled the two young ones for surgery. 7am tomorrow.. I then realized that keeping them in that small carrier over night was not wise so I went and spent 50 dollars on a Mid sized dog kennel. I also had to buy another litter box and more litter. Extra food and sigh dig out my small pet carrier.
A Few hours ago I went and fed the cats. They were nice and I petted them before putting the food in the mid sized pet carrier. Then when they walked in I closed the door and then went and got a towel to pot over the opening. I had to smile since they were way to busy eating to realize that I was carrying them to the truck and loaded them in. Arriving at home I carried them into my new shed out back. Its air conditioned and nice. I put the carrier up to the kennel and they walked in it and I then added a litter box and a nice blanket and the last of the food and some water. The food was almost gone so they will go without it till after the operations.
So tomorrow I get up early. go to the shed and put the kitty's one each into a carrier and we then drive to Brenham Texas and to the clinic for their treatments. I hope I have enough money for this.. Being on SSD and long term disability makes it hard to have lots of spare money. Donations are welcome to help the Kitty's. We have named them Pumpkin and Ginger. One is orange and the other Tan. I use Paypal and my Email is how you can send donations

September and the past hurricane.
General | Posted 8 years agoWell Here we are in the early part of September. I have again survived Animefest and also my first Hurricane. Granted it was not uber like when it landed just a few miles from Corpus It did go over my home in the preceding days. For a while we were on the north east side of it and we had rain and winds up to fifty miles an hour. at one point early on we realized the small dead bolt part of the front door had broken off and the wind began to drive rain under the door. It was literally raining sideways. we kept it mopped up and then I braced the door closed tight with my exercise bicycle and weight added to it. Later when we were between bands of the storm I worked on the door and locks to get the "It Never worked." Deadbolt to finally work above the normal door lock and knob. We watched the rain come and the water come up and it rained less and the water went down. In the end we had over 20 inches at my home and we thankfully had little flooding other than my street becoming a river.
With the money spent on supplies and doing the Con I was pretty much broke and still am in the start of September. Add to that the week without net do to the storm washing out the cable line in LaGrange Texas. Its been a tad miserable here. I am happy we had no damages to speak of and thne town did ok. But Dam! The price of gas went through the roof here. Was 1.95 before the storm and is now over 2.65! Ilve seen it up to 2.80. I was again happy that I fulled up when it was cheap but yesterday I had to put ten gallons in the truck because it was at half tank and that ran me twenty Five dollars. Ouch!
One good thing that came out of my not having net is that I realized now now much I depend on it. God you get bored with no net or ever TV... Add in a few days of that and your well a tad bonkers. I began to again write. I have several books that need work and of course my Bitch suit story needs another part. Seems I have this mice piece of art from Ota that I have not posted or the story with it.

And done
General | Posted 8 years agoYes another year has passed and so has Animefest 2017. I guess after 17 years you had to get some firsts. This was the first year of the con doing a Thursday to Sunday program. Turns out it was ideal for the convention since School started on Monday this year after the con for Most of the Dallas area. So this was the last weekend off. It was also the first time I was asked to come in for the night before to work Registration. It was a four pm to nine Pm shift. We were rather busy.
It was also the first I worked all evening shifts the whole con. Evey day was four pm to nine except the last day Every year up to this one I worked mornings. I will have to say that I liked evenings as it was not so full of massive rush to registration for the con.The part that sucked was that most of the good programing happened just before and crossed over or during the shift times I had. Still I had my normal schedule of life I did and that worked out ok.
One thing that very much surprised me was crash space. For years I stayed in crash space with the same people. It was something I normally counted on. Prior to the convention I had asked several times if I would be rooming again with them and got no answer. Finally I was told neither of them were working this year. I was surprised. Considering like myself they were always there.Well the con is now on year twenty five so I can assume most of the old guard are retiring or just to old or sick to come anymore.
So I am sharing a room with perhaps three new and unknown girls. Wednesday night I had room all to myself. I should have just laid in the center of the bed. But I had assumed I would have roommates. Same for Thursday a girl showed up all upset and bitched about my cooler next to the other bed. I told her. "If i bothers you then move it. I had it there to unload into the mini fridge when it got cold. It was delivered earlier." She moved it and grumbled more and then left... That night I had again assumed I would have roommates and none showed. Again I spent my night sleeping on one side of the bed.
Friday night I just said Fuck it and slept in the center of the bed. I had the place to myself. Saturday night I was alone also. Now I can make perhaps two assumptions. One might be my Transgendered status. The girls that I was with the previous years had no issues. Perhaps the girl that came did. Or Con Staff were worried about it because of the fucked up Texas laws stuff. Even if it was a fluke that I had my own room it was nice and I enjoyed the peace and quiet. (Well Mostly other room down hall was noisy and I had to turn on TV to cover them.)
The Con had begun the new mail out badges if you registered early enough. It seems to be a great thing. This year they had about Eight Thousand of them. That meant that our Registration area did not have to handle them at all other then giving over half the are to Swag bag hand out to them as they arrived. That left the Register on site people for us. I handled the cash only most of the days. I always do that.
This year was perhaps the biggest con ever for Animefest. Now only did they have a great line up of guests they had a record crowd to see them. they topped twelve thousand this year. I managed to get my Staff T-Shirt and the new AF 25 tag to go on my lanyard. I had time to walk the con and pick up two nice wall scrolls for the house. All in all it was a weekend of firsts and nice non crazy work. I will work again next year if they will have me. After all its been over 10 years now of me volunteering...

Getting ready for AnimeFest
General | Posted 8 years agoYep in a day and a half I will be on my way to Dallas and Another year of Animefest. It has become a yearly thing for more years than I know. It all started way back in 2000 When I attended my first Animefest in Dallas. It was also where I was asked to become the Head of Registration for Ushi-Con in Austin. Thinking back I started working as Registration for Animefest in 2003 and have been doing so with the exception of two years since then.
This year is no different and as normal I was already set up as Volunteer staff early and I do remember a few years the former head of Registration David actually said he would come get me if I could not make it. One finds it nice that your respected and have the friends at such a great con. Over the years the con has grown and shrunk a tad and this year its perhaps the biggest ever. Estimates have us over eight thousand people.
Now I have worked a few seven thousand person cons including our own Ushi Con in Austin one year. Things can be crazy and more with waves of people trying to register and more. One year at Animefest we were so short on staff I worked from opening to closing of registration every day. That was one year I never did see anything but my hotel room and the restaurant to eat.
This year will be a tad different since the two older ladies I normally share Crash space with are not attending. Its rather surprising and over the hears we have been good friends. I am hoping that nothing bad has happened to them but after all we are all so much older than when we started this. For me from 1999 to 2017 is eighteen years of doing cons.
This year I had a few issues that cost me most of my con money. First was my truck needing tires. I had hoped to get past the con but well they wore so fast that they were bald. The bolt through the drivers side tire made sure I had to get a new set on. I waved good by to eight hundred and nineteen dollars for that.
Their are all the small things you need to bring like toilet paler. (hotel paper can be like sand paper) Shampoo, soap and other toiletry items you need since your sharing a room and well I like to use what I normally use. Bring a cooler full of drinks, Loaf of bread and cheese and cold cuts for sandwiches. its always good to be ready and have food. Hotel restaurant can be pricey to eat at.They used to have a nice Buffet at a reasonable price but these days it is still all you can eat but twenty two dollars will end up costing you over a hundred for food over the weekend.
The truck is ready and I have to just unload some of the accumulated items in it. Thinks. Yep one 32 inche 720 dpi new TV already two years old but well it had to be moved. Two weed-eaters repaired and running again. Two heavy duty Lawn chairs. (The folding type in bags.) Several Ied lights for friends garage. A portable camp stove. (Still in box) In back seat of cab. Two bags of cat food for the outdoor cats and one box of cat litter for indoor ones.

General | Posted 8 years agoWe are now just in August and its a busy month for me. First of all its Animefest.. Ah yes Animefest the Anime Con I have attended and worked for many years. Some years are better than others. Since I run registration for USHI-Con I have also worked registration for AFest all these years. Well baring the first two. Still getting ready and making sure my volunteer status is done right and that I work for Crash space. Yes I work lots. I started doing crash space about 8 years back or so when my employment was not wanting to let me go to the con even with a letter pleading for my help. One year about half a dozen years back I had volunteered for the normal time and I had my own hotel room. I had done this for years. I also had lots of income back then. It was the first year at the downtown Dallas convention center and well Registration was hit by a rash of no shows for work. I remember starting in the morning and working till close every day. We just did not have enough people. I worked ate and went to my hotel room and crashed. It so reminded me of my former Dell days where we worked a month straight 12 hour days.
I had mentioned to David the Reg head that I did not do a thing at the con but work. He was very sorry about that but my help was more then greatly appreciated. A couple of months later I received a reimbursement for half of my hotel fees. That was nice. Its one of the reasons I still work the Con. Nice people easy to work for and most times you do get to enjoy the con.
This year I again had to make sure I had crash space. normally I stay with the same people every year so I do hope that will happen. Getting ready I checked over everything. Cooler, toiletry, Costumes, and of course my transportation there. December I had purchased a Chevy Avalanche and it was low miles and other then what I talked about with the dash issues a fantastic truck. Well I took it in last month for an inspection because of the long trip and the Mechanic informed me that my tires were nearly bald.
Now I had not payed much attention to them because the looked new and had decent tread on them. They were Goodrich Long trail TA;s a nice tire for road driving for a truck. They rode nice and I liked them. I was surprised they wore down so fast but I was also informed they were 7 years old. Inspection stations fail you for tires over 6 years old these days. I went Ugh! There went my money for the con. Tires cost 662.00 USD and that did not include the mounting balancing and tire disposal. sot It topped 800 dollars for them. I had him order them in and scheduled them to be installed on Wednesday the past week.
I was very lucky they arrived early. the Monday before I pulled into the grocery store and felt something. Getting out and looking at the tire I found a fairly large bolt stuck in the center of the tread. I drove to the shop and they pronounced tire as UN-repairable. So they put the new tire on my front right and then I went in on Wednesday for my other three and the Ugh.. Bill!
Having planned to go on a trip in early summer to visit a friend and camp out. I have collected a lot of things so if my truck breaks down or I get lost or crash down some embankment I can survive. From a Tarp to water I have blankets and more so I am survival equipped. Any smart person carries basic stuff in there car for emergency. There are a lot of sites for advice. For me its first aid kit, blanket (Military wool) tarp, Water basic tools. Rain poncho, flashlight. small emergency cell phone.) I have a small Nokia from years ago it works great and the battery lasts forever) Jumper cables and a bunch of things I like to carry.
Anime-fest used to be over Labor-day weekend. A few years back some large religious group decided that Labor-day was when they would hold this convention revival. They came in and tried to get us booted out of our host hotel. Smirks it did not work even if they promised full booking we had a contract. It still cost us a number of rooms that weekend. And I can never forget the looks from the Religious Right as I walked down the halls to the con in my cosplay outfit. Priceless!.
Still getting the hotel next year was already out so we had to move weekends. Mid August was where we ended up and Afest ran Friday to Monday. Now the past few years I celebrate my birthday during the con. This year is is right on the first full day. The con runs from the 17-20 this year. My birthday is Aug 18.

General | Posted 8 years agoMore updates on life.
It was april of last year when my friend finally did something about the storage I was promised when I got my house that I would have a garage. Well that was many years ago. In may I got woken up to the sound of a digger and looked out back to see them scraping the ground and then setting up a form to pour concrete. When they left I realized that it was too small for a garage. I called and found out he was building me a shed. I watched them come and pour the slab and insert the bolts in it for the wood to bolt to the slab. I was at least happy that I would have storage I so desperately needed.
Well May came and went and so did July and no progress than a slab. Apparently he did not have the cash to pay the person to put up the shed. I waited nearly a month before I said "Call the guy I will pay him." The next week the work began. After several weeks and things were very slow and I had paid the man half of what he wanted I asked him. "Are you doing this on the side?" He answered yes on weekends for spare cash. So it took over two months before he finished the Shed. Then the roofer had to come and roof it. After that a painter to paint the building to match my house.
Now at first the builder was not going to put in a window but I asked for one and I also specified that I wanted to have a mount for an Air-conditioner. I already had ideas of making the place nice where I could work and perhaps do my computer work instead of my office which was over run with parts and boxes. I began to price out things I would need like drywall and insulation along with electrical. I had plans and the builder had not fully trussed the roof like I had assumed so I was missing nice strong storage area that I could have used for storage above.
I had asked a handyman friend if he could do the work I wanted but he was booked till who knows when building little cabins for some person in the area. That was when I found out that my adopted family had their own handyman. Joey was perhaps like my roommates brother and he had all the tools and did handyman work. He had worked the oil fields as a manager but at that time things were dead and he was laid off and needed work. I called him up and he came over and looked over the building and we then brainstormed what I would need to do what I wanted to the insides. Insulate and drywall it. Build a nice sturdy work bench and make storage above and be able to hang up my bicycles.
I soon found out that even Joey had limited time and he also did. I remember him saying. "Here I am unemployed and I am More busy than when I was working full time." Joey was involved in his Church and played music for the services and the preacher called him for help with his computer and programs. We had done lots of figuring and did a visit to Lowe's and picked up a truck full of stuff. (Full bed and more). There were more trips for stuff we missed and such but It was about 3k worth of stuff in the end.
Joey worked more or less Part time. A few hours here and there. Progress was slow and he was a stickler for detail. My idea of overhead storage turned out nice in the end and you could actually lay up there with no worry's about it falling through. I had plywood laid down over the beams.
It was finally done in Mid January. I paid Joey for his work and I began to fill the shelves and bring in my stuff from the office. Its not every day that your shed is insulated better than most homes. I had a nice space heater that kept it warm and now in the summer the Air conditioner manages to keep it reasonable when the temps top one hundred outside which is now and normal. I've had electrical and cable run out to it so you can relax and work. Watch TV or listen to the stereo I have now under the work bench. Granted I may some day pay for another modem and line to the shed so I have direct to the net but for now I use wireless from my house I have it boosted with range extenders. So netflix and using the computer is not an issue.

Oooh! my long ignored Journal..
General | Posted 8 years agoYes I am such a slacker, Its been like forever... looks at Christmas story post... Way to long.. And I have had art done since than and well not much in writing as of late. I suppose its more on me than anything. Life has a way of sometimes smacking you up the head and then dropping gold on you. In my case it was the three plus years of suffering and pain that well I am still having but at least for once things have finished. I won my Social Security Disability. It was a long fight and more. I got my check and did some things I needed to do. Like tires for my car.. Laughs well now its roommates car. I now have a truck that is a Chevy Avalanche. I call it my Tank since it feels line one. Big sturdy and drives like a caddy. Even getting that had its fun. Like only a few days after getting it the dash stopped working. The dealer had it more than I did the first two months. Finally they did what I asked and just replaced the dash cluster. It is never fun getting it back and the next day your starting up the truck to bring Turkey to your elderly friend and the dash is again not working and you cant see what gear your in.
Well, the truck is doing good now and its had its tune up and service and well its time for tires already.. laughs its Karma that things all get sorted and something new is needed. I was informed that the tires on it were seven years old and well most inspection shops will not pass you on tires over six years old. Add to that I had helped out a friend in need and I am still waiting on repayment of things. Life is like that. More on that later.
I had done some updating on my computer last year with purchasing two 1070 video cards. It was a marked improvement in my Second life. I had heard rumors of the new AMD Chip release as far back as mid last year from some friends at AMD still I am not on their Testing track since I am not holding U-Tube videos and such. So I had been waiting for the release which was supposed to be in early 2017. So I waited and then I watched the Release live and then I wanted to have a nice Ryzen machine myself.
So I waited and when the release happened I was a tad late and had to wait a couple of weeks more just to order in my Ryzen 1800X and the new Asus Rog hero board for it. In the mean time I had been shopping and picked up on sale a beautiful Cooler Master Storm Stryker case for 70 dollars off. I had basically shopped for all the items needed. Including one of the new M.2 solid State Drives that mounted directly on the motherboard. With a nice regular solid state drive and a one TB regular drive I had plenty for the system.
Now I am talking Geek talk mostly about my new system and I wanted something better looking than the last one. The new RGB lighting was out and I decided to do that with mine. The case can handle more fans than you can shake a stick at and I went and ordered Thermaltakes RGB fans four 120 and one 140. I left the two fans on my water cooler it was RGB but it was the cooler attachment to the processes only not the fans but I left that alone. Smiles even my Power supply was RGB so I mounted it facing up to pull air from the case out. So I had eight fans and six of them were RGB. I even purchased the Asus RGB strix ROB 1080 graphics card.
With the nice GSKILL Trident RGB memory I had one flashy set up. That was when I found out that the Fans would not sync with the Mother board . The Cooler unit had its on program and would not sync, and well the mother board the memory and video card woud... Most times I have just a rainbow of colors from the computer and my RGB keyboard and mouse do rainbow colors like everything else.

Christmas eve.
General | Posted 9 years agoWell things are improving a tad. Today I had to drive down to Houston and pick up my Repaired Chevy Avalanche. I had it less than a week and the complete dash stopped working. I had to argue and yell at the dealer but they took it back for repair on Monday am. I missed the call of it being done on Thursday night at 6:30 Pm . I called mid day Friday to ask and they said it was done and to come down and pick it up. As tempting as it was to go get it. Friday afternoon on Christmas weekend was an insane prospect adding to that the misty rain we had that day. I wisely decided to get it Christmas Eve day early.
Well not everything happens well and I didn't get much sleep having to finish an event in SL and then having a discussion with the main promoter over the end of year awards. Pony cup was done and pony league were done. Overall was a virtual tie between two of us after 130 events which was first. We decided on sharing first place overall and not counting the last event the PDF winter cup. I had finished 7th and second in the first to of the events. there. The end run was that I got just a few hours of sleep before heading to Houston at 6:45 am in the morning.
I arrived at 8 am and it took a bit to get my truck since the sales guy had the papers. I was so happy to give back that Jeep Rebel they loaned me it was a small cheap plastic piece of crap. It got worse gas mileage than my huge Avalanche. Finally in my nice Avalanche I was so happy to have a working dash again. They replaced it and then took the truck to the Chevy dealer to have it calibrated to the miles the old one had. so no repairing the old one I got a new one and hopefully it will last.
I stopped on the way back at Lowe's in Brenham Texas and picked up a can of medium brown paint for the trim in my shed. It is semi gloss and a hell of a lot cheaper than the local place wanted. 25 dollars verses 40. Its the last thing I need for the shed project. I also stopped at McD's and got some breakfast for roommate. Arriving home I gave food to roomie and then went to the shed with the paint. I was very surprised that Joey the person working on the shed had the workbench almost finished. The main top needed to be screwed down and then the stain and final Poly urethane paint over it. last thing needed after the paint is the making of the shelving for the shed its almost done.
Getting in the house I made a bowl of chili/ I had made a large crock pot of it friday for us to eat. Then I crashed for several hours tired. And well yawn its time to crash again.
Merry Christmas to all ! and to all A good night!
[18:00] Rena (renztoy): Was the night before Christmas And all through the school not a creature was moving and the Yokai drool.
[18:01] Rena (renztoy): I lay on my bed Wondering if I would be next since my charm appeared to be Hexed
[18:03] Rena (renztoy): Then came the sound of wind blowing with dread. For this night I might end up dead
[18:03] Rena (renztoy): Came a light tapping upon my roof. Perhaps the sounds of tiny little Yokai hoof's
[18:05] Rena (renztoy): I cowered under the blankets over my head for the fear I might be eaten and dead.
)
[18:08] Rena (renztoy): There cam a rattle and a loud whoosh as some huge character came down my chimney and landed on their tush
[18:11] Rena (renztoy): Chilled I peeked from under my blankets at the crash. To see some large red person Scratching their rear like it had a rash.
[18:13] Rena (renztoy): It stood up and moved with a flash over to my Christmas tree and rummaged in a bag and it sounded like trash.
[18:15] Rena (renztoy): Pulling our a box from the bag only one he waved at at me and cried Come Little One!
[18:17] Rena (renztoy): I slowly rise from my bed wanting to run. The twinkle in its eyes spoke of Mischief and fun.
[18:19] Rena (renztoy): I looked at the eyes and said "Shoot" What danger can there be in a person in a red and white suit?
[18:22] Rena (renztoy): It beckoned me close with a wave. I moved closer my legs wanting to cave.
[18:24] Rena (renztoy): He held out a box that was well rapped and had a bow. "Come little one Its time for the show."
[18:26] Rena (renztoy): Shivering with fear I get close and take the bow It smiled with hair white as snow.
[18:28] Rena (renztoy): I hold the box all wrapped with Awe. It was not so large I could hold it in one paw.
[18:29] Rena (renztoy) the Creature smiled and waved a paw. The box opened and I stood in Awe.
[18:31] Rena (renztoy): There in my hand was a colored ball. It glowed and opened and suddenly I fall.
[18:32] Rena (renztoy): The Red and white creature Laughed and said aaw. Then it picked up the shaking ball with its huge paw.
[18:33] Rena (renztoy): "Tonight's trip is over and I am beat A captured Ferox and my set is complete!"
[18:35] Rena (renztoy): As the creature stood on the roof It looked Henti High over and said "Neat! I'll be back next year for another Christmas Treat!"

Life and issues
General | Posted 9 years agoWell here we are on the crux of Christmas. I consider myself lucky that I have no family anymore. Its been a good fifteen years since any of my Real family had had any contact with me. And sadly its not from my want to see or talk to them. Its mainly because of my Gender change back in 1999. That was the year they found out and sadly when my Father (adopted) Stopped talking to me. My last visit home my mother who was perhaps the most perceptive of all of us asked me if I was changing and she could see it. Funny that Sisters and bother never really did till the were told. But at that point you cant hide your growing breasts and the fact I looked way more Feminine than ever and my skin had changed and I had no more facial hair. 1999 was the last Christmas for me with my Real family. My next visit was to bury my mother who died in October of 2000. After that I have not been welcome home.
I do have friends and my new sudo family. I still cant figure out how in the world I ended up stuck with Elfi but to this day shes like my sister and we do nearly everything together. Her father passed over a year a go and I am hoping that we can finish handling his estate tomorrow at the Hearing and finally get everything in her name. Her adopted family and mine are the Lopex family. She grew up with them and she considers them as brothers and sister. About 8 years back they also invited me to Christmas and Thanksgiving. And well we still do Thanksgiving. Christmas tends to be a lot with all the kids running around so we normally pass on it.
This year we are cooking our own turkey and such to eat at home and enjoy things in relative quiet of the holidays. Perhaps a friend or two might visit but I doubt that much since they have their own families to go to. I am well kind of married. I married my good friend in Second Life well over a year ago now. Roy Hinterland is his SL name and Thomas is his RL first name. He has been with me for over three years in SL and we are constantly together. About two years back he nearly died. Red as we call him has bad diabetes and has lost both of his lower legs now and is wheel chair bound. Over the past year and a half I have noticed his computer has not been doing well and hes in a very limited income.
In November he informed me his Mother board was dying it was old and well his sound card part died. Its not good for a person that Dj's in Second life.We talked and he showed me what he was going to get and Well I did some checking and of course the items are like less than half the price here. Sadly I found out that shipping any large item to Germany was highly expensive. So I Sent him money via Paypal for a new updated Motherboard and paid for most of his new power supply. Then I found out that he had various memory sticks none matching in his computer. I had just ordered newer faster memory for mine. Granted its not that much faster than what I already had I was doing my best to be competitive in some gaming I do. I went from DDR3 1600 to DDR3 2400 in speed. I took the old GSKILL rip jaws memory out of the computer and put it back in the packaging it came in . (Yes I save the packaging since things have warrenty's and they want it back in it some times)
Since computer memory is small I packaged it well and Mailed it off to Germany. Little did I know that it ended up being inspected in custom's and it took over three weeks to get to Red. It kind of worked out since Red had to wait till December to get his money and purchase the power supply and he had ordered in a nice Case that well DHL shipping Destroyed when they shipped it not once but twice.
Red ended up going down to the local in the town Computer store and getting a used case there. And later he had to go back for parts and its about 3 mines away and on the way back it rained on him. Doing that in an Electric wheel chair is quite a feat and well it left him sick for about two weeks.
I saw some nice sales and decided to help Red with his old computer also and Picked up an AMD 4300 Processor and a nice Solid state Drive both on sale. I shipped them off Express mail last Friday. I do hope they arrive before Christmas to him. At least this year Red will have a nice Christmas and a new computer and his old one functioning better so I can see him in Second Life more and we can still be together.

The Award and setting up things for my next few years.
General | Posted 9 years agoIt's been a while since I posted in my journal. I have had a few months if crazy things going on.
First was the fact that my special meds suddenly dried up. I had my last injection back in Mid August and that did not bode well. I have been on Estrogen since 1999.
Over the years like many women you store it up in your body in your skin and other places and I was not that concerned at first. I tried my local provider and after a month of not being able to get it I tried another and then another. After three months I began to feel the loss of something essential to my being. I was slipping into menopause. I became moody angry and well pretty much nasty. It was easy to get me angry and set me off. (Influx of good old male hormones tends to do that) It finally accumulated with my breaking down and making a nice drama fest and loosing friends over something rather silly but at the time my mind said otherwise. I sat more than a day pondering what the fuck I had done and then went to see my doctor. She was a bit upset and rightfully so. She dug around and came up with a half of a bottle of the stuff I needed. And she gave it to me and did her own search and found someone that had the Estrogen.
I went home and took my shot and two days later I drove 60 miles to get another full bottle of the Medicine that all Transgenders need. I have never taken the pills and for good reason due to the stress it puts on your liver. The Inject able version is direct and does not strain your liver. it also produces the most dramatic results in changes. Here I am three weeks later and I am pretty much back to normal. I doubt I can heal the damage done with my friends. Life is full of you do lots of good and one bad time ruins it all for you. I am glad it was not something stupid like crashing my car or worse...
I also received my Social Security Disability award in October. It was a long hard fight and I am certain my Lawyer did little if nothing to get his part. I did all the foot work and gathering the information and sending it in, I am also certain that my lawyer purposely dragged things on for the Meeting with the Judge. I did however get a good amount awarded. and the lawyer got 6k of it. Then I had to pay my Long term disability people back a large chunk of it also. And Frankly the people there are blithering idiots. First the told me ???? amount that was most or my award. then they said ??? which was worse. Then it was half of that and finally they got their act together and I was to send on an amount like 1/4 of what they asked. It was finally done. Or was it...
I did everything they asked and jumped the hoops and ran around providing information for them. I was assured that if I sent them the money that my Long term disability would be restarted in December. I did what I was told and the very next day I sent off my check for the amount and was happy that that part of my Issue was handled. November passed . I had sent in the money in October. December arrived and I get a notice that I was paid Zero from Long Term disability. I called and asked WTF did they do with my check and why did they sit on it for three weeks? "Well Financial fucked up. I am sorry but you will not get any money till after the first of the year. After all you got that big award you should not worry.." What the Hell! What a fucking attitude to have. I had to pay everyone back for what I had to beg borrow and more to get by for many months that "They" had no clue about and i let him have it. "Oh I have all this money? Are you the one that paid all the money back and such?" Well in a nutshell I was over 500 dollars short this month and it was a good thing I had some moeny left over or I would have been in trouble. Still that attitude was so wrong.
Well I used my money that I had left over to pay for my bills and to fix up my car, It needed Struts desperately. The whole job cost 1k in the end and it was lucky that O Riley's had a special on them for Shocktober and I got one free. After that the car drove really nice. I did things like upgrade my video cards in my computers. Purchase a nice new smart phone. (Its still outsmarting me) Lots of small things I needed.
I found out my SL husband's computer was dying. Red and I have been together for several years now and hes Disabled and living in Germany. We are always together in Second Life and our marriage was presided over by a real Preacher not one that said they were I have a signed marriage document. Red needed a new Motherboard and after a long talk he was using mixed memory and his power-supply was small for what he needed. I had Shipped him things before like a bunch of Texas brand Hot Sauce. But shipping a mother board proved more costly than just sending him money to get one from an on like company that sold in Germany. Strange but NewEgg does not ship to Germany but does to England and Holland. Red ordered his new Motherboard. I decided to upgrade the memory in my computer from 1600 to 2400 and it was on sale so I bought a full set of 32 gig and put the previous memory in the package it came in two years ago and wrapped it up and shipped it to Germany.
Like everything I had shipped i had expected Red to receive the memory in a week. Instead Customs grabbed the package. It took almost three weeks for Red to get his Memory and he had to get there on his own to pick it up and hes Wheelchair bound. I was disappointed but they told red they pick things at random and I guess it was that time. I guess things work out for some reason. Red's father gave him money to get a new case and the rest for the Power supply. And Well DHL in Europe managed to destroy the package and I have the same case and that box is tough I still use it for a foot rest. (I bet they ran it over) So they had to reship things and I hope by now that Red can start assembling his new computer. (Merry Christmas Red)
About two months ago I noticed a nice looking Chevy Avalanche sitting in town for sale. After a couple of weeks I asked about it by calling on the number and perhaps a week or so later I met with the person and took it for a drive. It was nice and drove well and seemed well cared for. it did however have uber miles on it 320k to be exact. And Looking at the value on line it was about a 3500 dollar truck. he wanted 6k which was way to much, I offered 4 and well he balked and my top was 4500 if he replaced the cracked windshield. I poked him a few times but he would not budge so at the end of the month the rental on his shop ran out and him and the truck vanished at Thanksgiving.
I still loved the look and I wanted one so I began delving into the Craig's list and found lots of them. Most were a long ways away. I went to look at one in Austin and the person never showed and the bed cover pieces were missing. It had 235k miles but I passed. Another showed up in West Houston not far from the highway so I arranged a trip with a friend to go look at it. When we got there we saw the good side. the drivers side had been hit and things fixed sort of. It was missing one of the plastic pieces and worse the hood I could feel the cheap repaint and well the light bulb was laying inside the cover. I decided to start it and the check engine light was on and well that was the Your not even bothering with it sign. On the way back my friend had his phone and was looking and said 'Hey this dealership has one its a 2003 and it has 114k miles! Its Nine miles down the road." So away we went heading home and I figured it was a bust.
So a few miles later I pull off and into the used car lot of a Toyota dealer and there sat what looked like a new Avalanche. It was even the color I had wished for. It looked brand new and had to have been kept in a garage because the plastic pieces were not chalked or faded. It had 116k which was the lowest amount of miles I had seen so far. When the sales guy started it it was so quiet I didn't realize it was running. After a test drive I was sold it was solid had the balls to get going and handled nice. Then I negotiated for hours and jumped through hoops and more before I drove it back 6 hours later.

I purchased the truck for several reasons and one is bringing up my credit raiting. It heeds to be higher to help me get a nice low rate loan on my home I hope to buy next year. Its important to me because I have a lot of money invested in the place and even though I have a contract that says I can stay forever that will not hold if my friend dies. I have seen what families do when people die. They could flat out sell the place out from under me. I have had that done once already. The price is already agreed upon and after paying on the truck it will be good for me to get a nice loan for the home. That will remove the issues of loosing my place if the relatives become assholes if my friend dies.

9/11 a day I will never forget.
General | Posted 9 years agoI was sitting in my apartment in Sheboygan Wisconsin at the time watching the TV when the news flash came on about
a plane crash into the World Trade Canter. I watched the tower burn and then was horrified to see the second plane fly into the second tower and then not long after watched the buildings collapse.
As a born American I was taught many things. One is Respect and another is Morals. Two things now very lacking in
today's society. Honor your Mother and Father. Respect you elders and always Respect the authority's. Such things were a
basis of the Moral society I grew up in. Sadly that is mostly gone in much of America but perhaps the small towns and more
religious areas of the country.
I watched and read about the silly protests at the playing of the national anthem at the football games. It is totally sad that
such educated and sometimes well known and perhaps wealthy athletes are such poor examples for out young to see.
I highly doubt that most of them have even really studied or went to history class and read about the sacrifices that so
many of our ancestors have made just so they have to right to disrespect the national anthem and the county that
helped give them the opportunity to do what they do now.
Where is the respect for the soldiers that died to give them the rights they have now. To the police and the firemen and the people that died on 9-11. It shames me to see people posting on the net that they think that most of 9-11 was fake. Well I know its not true because my ex lost one of his relatives in the Trade center he was a fireman. Nor is the other things like the plane hitting the Pentagon fake.I just shake my head at the whole thing. I doubt if they were there helping pick up and recover the torn bodies from the plane that they would ever forget or forgive what happened.
So when you see these people disrespect what others have done and gave them the right to remember that perhaps they forgot
about history and what was done to give them that right. I cant condone such actions it shames me to see it. But our country did not survive all these years because it was not tolerant. However, if it was my team that had people that were not united and stood together like I saw some teams? I'd be replacing them with better Team players.

Hopefully the end of a long battle
General | Posted 9 years agoBack in May of 2013 I was injured at work for the Texas Juvenile Justice Department. I tore my rotator cuff. It has to have been the most painful experience in my life. In the days that followed the pain grew and grew. Until I could not sleep. I went to a doctor. She told me that I had injured my shoulder but not what. She needed more extensive tests and she then told me to call my work and go see a Doctor they recommenced. Work sent me to a Doctor who really did nothing at all but ask me three questions and to move my arm two times. That was his exam. I could not move my arm. later when I had more pain and issues I was put on light duty and believe me it was hardly any light duty. My pain got worse.
The end result was that I had a torn rotator cuff. After time and nearly three years the end result was that Workers Comp refused to pay to have it repaired. to this day I am still in pain and I doubt that will ever go away as my injury was never taken care of. Then with their closed system that gives them the power to deny people proper care I was cast adrift. Over 55 and injured and of course no job or any real ability to hold one. With my shoulder useless and my arm weak I cant hold anything of measure nor can I grab or pull or carry.
I an lucky that I have long term disability. Still I had to get it going and I went a good two months of no money. Then I managed to get my Long term disability to kick in. it was a rough time and I took another cut in what I was getting. I went from 2200 a month to 1800. Things got tight. I also had begun the path to getting my Social Security Disability.
I tried on my own and was promptly denied. I was devastated. I also shook my head as to why? I had doctors notes and more. That was when I decided to try legal. Most of the people I knew had to do the legal route. I decided (Unfortunately) to go with one of the Legal group that advertised on TV It was Binder And Binder. My advice... Never ever use them...
I let them handle my appeal and they totally mismanaged the whole thing and my appeal was denied. That was after I had to go and provide them everything they needed because well no doctor would release them anything. (I wonder why) After that I had one more appeal and again it was a mess. This whole journey was over two years in the making. Their answer to my second denial was "Social Security Is denying everything to everyone now and that they are forcing everyone to do the court with the judge to make them give up."
Somehow I didn't think that was correct but at this point I I had to go that route. I talked to my doctor and more. I again had to provide all the documents and doctors statements and had to chaise my doctor around to get her to fill out the forms. In the end I only got the final statements and papers literally the day before the court case. I had heard that these law firms purposely delay the claim to the court case so they can get the largest payment back. I am more than convinced that is the case.
In the court I had a representative but it was not even a lawyer. Still I managed to prove that I am disabled. I was in great pain and is showed during the meeting. add to that the memory loss or complete huh what is going on that happened to me in the meeting. Its a nice thing that happens from pain and the lack of decent sleep I get. After the meeting or court case I was told the decision would take six to nine weeks.
It was just over four weeks when I was contacted by the Social Security office. They wanted to know the payments and hos much and when the amounts changed. So they could calculate what back pay I would get from them. I said I had to contact the Workers Comp to get a list. She said she would send me permissions to sign over so they could also get it and more. The next day I contacted my Case worker with Workers Comp and she E-mailed me the full payments that were made to me. I then sent them off with the signed papers to Social security.
The next day my notice came that I was approved for Disability and dating back to the day of my injury. Two days later the lawyer called sadly being overly poor I could not call them back. I prob will call on Tuesday since its Labor day weekend. I think its time for them to wait.
The good thing is that my Social Security Disability is approved. Now the issue is how much and who do I have to pay back? And what will my real monthly payments be? I hope either the same at 1800 or more. It would help if I had some more since my cars brakes went out......

Another year of Life!
General | Posted 9 years agoYes today I turned 56! When I was a child I had no idea that I would live beyond the age of 40 or so do to the statistics. I even remember that the night of graduation from High school one of the class got drunk and crashed his motorcycle less then a mile from home and died. Even in college Classmates died.
I did some very crazy things in my life. Being a national Caliber Cyclist I did some very crazy things like Racing with over 200 others in close quarters. Costing down a mountainside at over 50 Miles per hours. (Was clocked at 57) I crashed my car into a bridge. Had I been a few feet over I would have plunged into the Icy waters below and died. I had other brushes and bumps along the line.
At age 30 my health went south and after doctor visits and tests. I found out that my Thyroid was enlarged and not working. I had an operation and now take pills for my Metabolism. Over twenty years now. At age 38 I began my change to being female. It was a long and hazardous journey. I endured discrimination, Harassment and outright threats to my life for a long time.
At that time I worked for Dell Computers and I had more than my share of harassment, Discrimination and Threats. I fought long and hard to keep my job and more. I managed to get a handful of managers fired in that time. I was very good at my job and they never could try to fire me that way. And they tired over and over. One time they tried to fire my whole department. I had reported that the new 2U servers were not ready. I did over and over and over. I refused to release them do to several huge issues. Heat, Missing Processors on startup and several more issues. I mean if you buy a 5k server and turn it on and get a black screen or the second possessor you paid for does not show up what do you think will happen. Add to that the fact that they had not solved the overheating issue.
The upper managers pressured threatened and pleaded to release them. I said no they were not ready. "if you want to release them then Just sign here that they are ready with your signature.... Surprisingly no one wanted that. Finally into week three of them not fixing the issues some director Issued the release and of course throughout it all I had documented everything and my notices I sent out and also.
Well they went out and I sighed knowing what would happen next and I carefully backed up my Documents and also printed them all. it was a smart move because some manager came in and deleted my Email. (I figured they would) Two weeks after release all hell broke loose. they had a 33% failure rate and it was climbing. The uppers immediately blamed Quality Control for this. They were going to fire us all for not doing our jobs! (note this was when my Email poofed)
I was ready and walked into The big man's office and plopped down a stack of papers and said. "QC did their job. The shit rolls down hill is in the works. I have proof of who is trying to hide things and that our department did their job and were overruled. I left and prayed that it was read by at least a SR VP or even Mikey.
Lots of the engineers and their managers were smiling because they had passed the buck onto Audit and got away with it. Two weeks passed and they waited for the end of the month and for Quality control to vanish from Dell. I laughed on the last day when two thirds of the Engineers and all of their managers including the director were walked out...
Another mark I left on dell was having them change their statement to Sexual orientation. That came after my long fight and Gender change at work.
I've been female since 1999. I have dealt with the issues and kept a good outlook on things. I had a fight with the Texas Juvenile Justice Department over my sexuality and made them change policy's also. Now I look back and hope all my hard work and suffering will pave the way for Other girls making their lives easier.
Now I sit at home Still injured from work back in 2013 when I tore my rotator cuff and workers comp refused to pay to fix it. I just finished with my Disability hearing with the judge the end of July and I prey that comes through. Because no one will really hire a Transgender girl with one arm. I cant lift pull or carry. My back goes out weekly and my sleep aphnia is bad
Well at least I made it another year and hope to heal and get better.

Anime fest weekend
General | Posted 9 years agoYes I have worked Animefest again. This is perhaps the most interesting year for me at that. I have worked registration at Animefest for many years now.Havig been the head of registration at Ushi-con for many years its not hard to have me come and work for Animefest. They actually ask me to do it every year. Many a person visiting the con and paying with cash has seen me at registration.
Day one I was wearing my Kitty ears and tail with my paws. Friday was very hard. I didnt get any real sleep before I left for Dallas. I left at 2:30 Am so I could get there before rush hour. Traffic in Dallas was not bad when I arrived. Still I again missed the normal turn in down town and had to make the I45 loop back and off that way. A couple of slow spots and nothing more. Parking in the parking garage after getting my luggage unloaded I took the Second handicap parking spot. Normally I get the first one. But well you never know.
I had not eaten so I stopped in at the hotel restaurant. I was floored that the breakfast brunch was again more expensive. Last year it was 21 dollars and now its 23.99! Sheeze! You would think they would have a Convention special but nope! The hotel is just to stupid to do something that would help and make them more money. It was no surprise that the Restaurant staff recognized me as I sat down to eat I've eaten there every year the con has been at the hotel. I had a long talk to the head waiter and about the lack of a convention special that I had put in for last year at the hotel main site. When my bill came the waiter said "Staff special." dont tell anyone... I looked I paid way less than the Brunch price! (Great staff at the hotel)
I also got my room key early after eating I was approached by one of my roommates and given a room key. Being nice I waited till after 7am to have my stuff brought to the room. At 8pm I headed to con HQ to get my badge. It was not open and never did open before my work shift at 9am. I did not get my badge or items for the con. (Never did really) Heading to registration I found out that IT was behind and well we didn't get going till 9:30 and by then people were lining up and Friday was our big day. Normally its Saturday but being weeks before the Holiday the students were not at school.
I was scheduled for a 4 hour shift but well we were so short on staff I worked 6 and a half hours before being released to get my cash drawer counted. I was tired and burnt out. I was certain I had one shift that day. I hit the room and took off my shoes and laid on the bed and I was out cold. I woke to my cell phone ringing. Picking it up I get 'Where are you? Your shift is half done." Groggly I got up and went to the bathroom. While in there another staff came and checked in on me. A-fest staff are great. They took the time to make sure I was ok.
I finished my second shift and had done more than my normal scheduled time by far anyways do to the staying over earlier. I also found out why staff was checking up on people that didn't feel good. At another con one of the Chairs of that convention felt ill and went to lay down and hours later his wife went to check and he had died. Considering My health lately and I was tired and feeling ill I can see why they checked up on me. I hit the Staff suite and ate the food they had and went back to my room and crashed for the night.
I found out that the hotel net had goon from slightly decent to nearly useless before I went to bed. I called up and got the passwords and I am a Prefered Guest at Sheraton hotel. Still all I got was basic net. I was rather disappointed in that. At best you could only keep one window open if I was lucky two. Skype calls were full of drop outs as you talked. For the rest of the con contact and net was random at best.
I worked Saturday from 7:30 to 2pm at Registration and it was not bad. No real long lines to speak of but it was consistent and no real down time. I had my standard breakfast bar and stuffed myself. I always know that food rarely happens till after your work shift. After my shift I went to the Staff Suite and had the food offered. Then I went up to the room and bed again. I was tired.
Sunday was very different I have not worked a later shift in years. I did not have to show up till noon so I ate and then went and explored the con.ate my breakfast and walked around for the first time in years. It was enjoyable to search the dealers room and take pictures of some of the costumes. Talk with friends. I met Tak an old RP and con friend from years back. I also met my older friend that I normally eat breakfast with each year. We talked and checked out things.
Work that afternoon was very slow. I went and visited Staff suite and ate again and then did some more checking along the artist ally and then checked out the art show.Found and bid on a MLP luna art for a friend that I lost because someone out bid me. anyways the con was fun this year even if I was mostly broke. I worked the last shift at registration and helped take stuff down. Which was not much since I have one good arm. The con ended for me just a hair after 2:30 pm when I got into my car and headed back to my Central Texas home. I left at the right time getting by a huge traffic pile up on the other side going into Dallas. I knew I could beat the rush hour and the rain out I would be ok the rest of the way.

Some good news I hope!
General | Posted 9 years agoWell my fight with workers comp failed it was a closed system using their own doctors that are told to fail people and not allow them to get benefits. I have to say its the biggest money scam going. as I was told they will spend thousands to save a penny which is so wrong. Denying injured employees treatment and such to help them. Its such a sad case that If I was the president I would have it overhauled. Instead of me getting the operation to treat my obvious torn rotator cuff I received at work they claimed I had bursitis and denied my operation.
They also faked my ratings and did it over and over with the doctors moving my arm to make the desired results. It was pathetic and sad. They claimed I had an 11% impairment to get me under the 15% that would make them pay for me till my retirement. Its obvious I am more like 85% disabled. Hell I cant carry or hold a cup of coffee. add the fact that I am in constant pain and have not had a decent night of sleep in over 3 years now.
So I had to also fight and go a month without money because Workers comp again lied about my end time of my benefits and also failed to notify my Long Term Disability people. I have to say that was on purpose because it left me with no money for gas to drive to the hearing I had scheduled. Still I had to again jump through more hoops and such to get my Long Term Disability to work. More Doctors visits and with no money I had to beg and borrow for that. I gt it awarded and now I had to begin the fun going after my Social Security Disability.
I went and got the paperwork and filled it out and put down my issues and sent it in. Months later I got a denial. I scratched my head as to why? I was told several things. One, I was white. Two I had a college education. That I was educated and white automatically made me a Denial. Frustrated I contacted a processional and believe me "Never use ones that Advertise on TV" I did and it was a total pain in the ass along with communication issues and more as things progressed.
I protested my case and refiled using the lawyer and provided more paperwork and did lots of beating on doors to get proper paperwork from doctors. Seems many do not really do their paperwork nor do they honor your asking them to fax it to the lawyer. I had to drive to College station two times to get all my files. Not only that they even tried to charge me for it when it is my right to have copy's The reality of the Specialist was that he only was interested in making fast money not helping anyone.
On second round of Social Security Disability I was again denied. I facepalmed. The lawyer told me that starting 2014 Social security denied nearly everyone and forced them to go to court.
My regular doctor was often so busy I had to go after her and hound her for her to finish the paperwork and to bet my latest and old medical files. Up to the last few days I was still after her to get them submitted. I thank god that I did or things may have worked out for the worst. The last Friday before the court date I had finally gotten it all submitted for the new court appeal.
We are now down the road close to three years from my first filing for Social Security Disability. I had to drive to Austin and the Federal court house. Not only dealing with traffic and my normal lack of sleep I had my friend drive me. My shoulder was having one of the painful days and if you were in my state most of you would be begging for Morphine. God I was in pain. We arrived early as we were told and just before the meeting my lawyer showed up and we again went over things. Just like we did the night before.
Entering there were three people. The judge, some data input person and what I found out was some Job specialist they had. The judge asked my name and swore me in. I had to hold up my right hand with my left. Then she asked about my past work and I had to tell her that my past job was the same only the state Agency had changed its name. I had to describe my work and what I did. Then the job before that my Dell one. Both I had to life over fifty pounds. (Something I cant do now) It was sort of confusing.
I also went over my injuries and what I could and could not do including my shoulder/arm, My back, My sleep aphenia and my pain I was constantly in. I also mentioned that I had memory issues and would loose my concentration and was now taking pills for it.
During the questioning I actually had a real memory blank which surprised the judge. I was also in great pain and it more than showed with my facial expressions my holding my shoulder and even having to get up and walk around. I explained that since my shoulder injury that I spend on average a day flat on my back because my back goes poofta. God I hurt and the crappy chair didn't help.
Then she introduced the "Work specialist." She would determine what kind of work I could do with my limitations. After she typed I could do
A. Gate Guard
B. Compuer assembler
C. Usher
I scratched my head. A, I need to grab and hold and carry. B. I need to grab hold and carry. C. I need to do the same.
I would also need to sit more than 80% of the time. I just facepalmed at the numbers of jobs that were suppository out there.
It was unreal but I sat quietly and the judge began to ask Hypothetical Questions of the labor export. All with a limitation. One was using my arm in a way I know I cant do still limited but .. The answers for the three jobs was Maybe.
The judge asked again with my arm limited as it was and added my not being mentally there 15 % of the time and missing on average 3 days a month. The answer was no for all three. That I could not work. We were then asked if we had any questions and my lawyer said no and we were excused. I felt upbeat and so was my lawyer. We went into the open conference room and talked a bit.
She said my showing I was in constant pain was a huge plus. "I'm not faking that" I replied. "Oh I know and the judge was seeing that. Your memory loss was like a god send. Again I said "I was not trying to do that." She said well the judge more than noticed your being confused. Another plus is your age your over 52 and at 56+ it puts you into a special retired bracket and it makes it easier for you to get your Social security disability. I was a bit upbeat for once after three years of depression.
"These are the three things that might happen" she said:
1. They deny you.
2. They approve you from start of your injury. (Best outcome)
3. They approve you but make a call on when you were disabled.
She was upbeat and said that number one was unlikely. Number two a maybe. and they may do the number three.
The difference between number two and three is about a year or less in money paid to me. However, It will take six to
nine weeks for them to make a call. So don't wait up for and answer........
So don't wait up for and answer........
arrrgh beats head on desk
General | Posted 9 years agoI guess Part three of the Bitch suit saga will have to be delayed. My Winblows 10 blew up and I lost everything.

My real Second life self.
General | Posted 9 years agoI think it is time to see the changes and the latest Me in Second life. I was perhaps one of the last few that actually entered Second life as a Fox. Granted it was a very toonish Second life Avatar but none the less I have been a fox in Second life since my birth here. I was not a cheezie human avatar that they give out but one of the last few to use the Toon animal avatar's I had begun my adventure into second life via a friend and his Help. After my landing into the world he told me what to do and I ported away to him. I ran the gauntlet of vampires and griefer's and made the port.
I landed at his private SL home and there we talked. Studly Destiny was his name and we had done a few RP's together. Studly had been in Second Life for a long time and well had not been active for a couple of years. His weekly stipend was 600 L and well in terms of SL he was rich! After a short lesson in how SL worked we made my first trip to a place called Rocket City. Their we walked to a really nice themed Vendor area and Studley gave me three thousand linden and told me to pick out an avatar.
I wandered around and checked out the vendors and finally settled on a Grey Fox from Psi Corp. I liked the looks

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....psa9769042.png
Its hard to believe I was this and it seems so long ago. I then began to collect avatars. Everyone a silver fox. I had all of them at one point. From my Psi Fox to Sp fox and many in-between. I began to experiment and using Psi's nice add on's I became a fully functional female fox. It was unique and fun. I did have one issue and that was that the fur and coloring just didn't want to go on my Psi boobs. After a chat with the maker himself He made me a nice applier that worked.
I then began to be curious about the BDSM part of SL and I found Amelie's Rubba Reindeer post here and of course went and bought it. Being new and totally unfamiliar with RLV it took all of us to figure out how to make the suit work. Eventually I had to contact Amelie herself to get some "My God another Noobie" help from her. Amelie left a mark on me that to this day still stands out.

http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....ps186b9793.png
After the strange and scarry things that happened with my First RLV experiences. I now had a new Master or Owner. I was now a pet and after a short time we went in together and rented land. On it we had a huge castle where I had my own huge room.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....psvbazac0v.png
I met Arcomonious and he was my first mate so to speak it was more or less an agreed upon thing for convenience.
Arc was also a Renmon like myself and also was a Fennec fox and a dragon at times.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....ps6ba6a65a.png
Again I was Influenced by Amelie here on FA and followed her exploits as a pony girl. I liked her Avatar and the gear she used. I had had some RL pony experiences long ago and it kind of kindled the fire again. After a few posts I sent her an Im asking about the gear she used. She was nice and sent me a list and I was beginning my new phase in Second life. I purchased all the items and finally decided on what kind of Pony I would be Since I figured a Pony like avatar would be best I purchased a Rainbow Zebra. A friend what had owned a couple of Ponies took me under her wing and began to train me. I also had a friend that decides to join. I am the one with the green corset on. She took us carting a lot and we were a good and well very colorful team.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....psd2fbfa12.png
I needed more training and soon My guardian Queen Victoria or Queen V as she is called in SL took me around to various stables trying to find me a trainer. I soon realized that the PonyGirl world was not at all Furry friendly. From finding no one to even being told "We do not want Furry's here by a Recognized stable. I was disappointed and a tad heartbroken. After a couple of days she took me around again and avoided the Non Furry stable. I still only go there for competitions. Our last stop was Wildfire. There we met a group of Trainers and a Stable mistress that had just gotten back from a Polo match. She said they were tired but asked me to come back the next night. That night I did and I became a wildfire pony.
I had a couple of lessons and the Stable Mistress told me this "Seek out other trainers and also learn from them. Each has some knowledge to give you" A few days later Pretty Prancing Ponies made an announcement on the Pony Info Group that they were giving pony classes. I went to visit and became a PPP pony also. I spent several weeks and more there. Learning and being a pony. My master didnt like it but he left me be. I had also purchased my first Fennec Avatar a Grey one of course. My owner hated pink and I would have gotten that but I would not long after.
Soon I became part of PPP and a fixture there. I began to be invited to the meetings and more. One day I was running late for a Meeting I was invited to and forgot to change to my Zebra. I arrived to the meeting as my Fennec fox. I entered a meeting full of Domme's and the ooh's and aww's greeted me. As the meeting began to close I heard. "Take her and have her geared as a pony." I was shocked and my cuffs locked and I was leashed and taken around and I was geared up as a Pony. I became a Poxy or fox pony.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....ps9f3cd21f.jpg
I purchased the Pink Fennec and had begun to wear it. I was now doing events. My relationship with my owner went down the toilet with my realization he was using me and actually was trying to take my SL land I had paid for. It became a mess and when It was over I had my money refunded and he was banned from SL At that time I handed my collar over to a new master who not more than a few days after taking it said "Your tail looks like Cotton Candy! That will be your name now." I changed it and I have been Cotton Candy since.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....psf5db692a.png
I was my pink self for over a year after that as a locked pony. Granted I had my Easter bunny fun and that lasted a week and then it was back to My locked Fennec. Then My owner said "You need a change and I purchased the blue and white Fennec and became the new Blue Cotton Candy. I also was helped to become a Pawnie mark I. It was fun dressing and having myself locked up as one.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....psw8dp2voz.jpg
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....psca6zodnl.png
Soon things began to go south with my owner and I left him in December. In January I married my long term pet Red. It was a wonderful wedding and after all the planning and panic I had. it turned out nice.
http://img.photobucket.com/albums/v.....pscwotwier.png
I found a new owner and left wildfire. Soon I would be back to save it for a second time. But I was time for a change. I had discussed with my good friend Clauda of Madcatdesigns. I was looking into using my Mesh body I had picked up for my Human avatar that well I used like so rarely few knew I had one. The problem was that well Mesh body's for humans really do not come with Fur coatings. You have to design and make an applier to put it on.
Some things had to be normal and I used my hands, legs and feet along with my head and tail.
So it took many days and discussions about how I would look and showing the designs and then attempting to make the appliers. Their were some issues to deal with but in the end I had an applier for my body. The head lower legs and tail were colored separately. It took more trial and error before the look was finished. Something like a custom skin is costly so I do not suggest getting one unless you have $$$ to spend.
Here is what I look like unbound. (I'm bitched for at least a year)

Noah's Arc time!
General | Posted 9 years agoMan the life boats! God its raining and raining and raining. Been booming and lightening for hours now and the water just kept coming. I'm guessing right now 5 inches of it and much more east of my home. Its made the streets rivers and my backyard a lake. They warned people to stay at home and not drive around but well... People are total idiots. I am guessing at least 2 or 3 will drown here doing water crossings thinking their big 4-Wheel can handle the water. You cant fix stupid but Darwin can.
So here in Central Texas its water world and of course we have a tradition of floods on Memorial weekend. I've been through several events now. When in Austin my neighborhood flooded two times. My home never did it was the high spot. (Smiles reason I bought it) Still it never fails to amaze me that people can be so dumb. Back in my early years in Texas I used to race bicycles and the morning after a big storm our group was riding out of town and we came on a low water crossing with some darn fast water going over it. No police barricades but it was not to deep but it was moving fast. We wisely sat and took a drink from out water bottles and looked for a rout that would not be flooded. At that time some big burly bubba in a huge 4-wheel drove up and asked. "Why are you sissies not crossing the water?" he remarked. "Because its not safe." my friend Jack said. "Thats bull." He said and rolled up his window on the truck and drove into the water. He got almost half way across when his truck slid and then really started moving and went off the road and down into the rushing water.
He never did come up. Days later the crews found his truck way down the crick and he was still inside his cab drowned. Like I said you can't fix stupid only Darwin can....

Lost a good friend the other day.
General | Posted 9 years agoPrince was a long time friend and I often Im'd him. the day before he went to hospital I had remoted into
his computer to fix the things his daughter did to it. I have fond memory's of my messing around with him in
my early fox days on SL and how he so wanted to own me. He was a gentleman and a good dom. I often wonder
if I had left fluffy in the early days and went with Miss Victoria and Prince what kind of difference things would be.
Miss V took me to the stables to find a trainer. I pulled prince on his birthday long ago and made him so happy.
He gave me away at my wedding and he said "I am satisfied with life being able to give you away to someone like red." It was not long after I found out his health was deteriorating bad. His kidneys were shutting down and the clown doctors along with the home situation made things worse. He was critically injured in Iraq and nearly died. His face was disfigured badly and the IUD that blew him off the bridge onto the rocks below left him with shrapnel in his body and his face was reconstructed.
I introduced Prince to Elfi over two years ago and Elfi having a similar personality hit it off well with him and soon they were always together. I was there for his turning and then Elfi's I also was Maid of Honor at their wedding. Elfi spends lots of time at my home and she uses my back up computer to be on SL and she spent time with Prince and I often heard them converse. Prince V was family and a big part of things and my Real Life Girl Friends love. She loved him so much even though he was using a Second life character. They were a happy couple and acted like one.
Right now Elfi and I are Grieving and crying.

Writing and need art now
General | Posted 9 years agoWelp have been writing away and have topped 40 pages on the Bitch suit saga. I had to flesh out some things and get everyone where they need to be. RL has finally gotten my court date for my social security disability. July 28 I will go see them try to deny me again. Its funny that I can barely do much these days physically do to my back and my torn rotatar cuff and gimp arm. But because I am white and have graduated college the government thinks I can still hold a full time job? Facepalm! I cant pick up, hold, carry anything. Stand for any period of time. Type for any great lengths or
stay in a chair long. I do fall asleep at the desk often do to the pain I have and my lack of decent sleep.
Anyways I am willing to pay for my art to use with this story.
Can check out the first part of the story. Here.

Interested artists please Note me and we can discuss and you can read the next installment
and make your call on what you want to draw.

Easter week and the Bunny's
General | Posted 9 years agoI consider this an annual event I put on for Easter week to promote the Ponygirls and the Stables in general. So far so good. I've been caught a couple of times and locked down. Still the master plan has been going on and the Bunny Minions are growing in number this year!
This year Its been expanded with two more hutches and bunnies in three stables. I will rule the pony world by swarming it under with bunnies!
I think a few extra photo's for people would be nice so I will put up some
The FFF secession grew from just three to eight at one pont!

I think this shot perhaps tells it all when you view the perspective of Bunnh power!
